I remember sailing the ocean on the cruise ship. I remember staring out at the sea from the railing, the chattering and bustling of people behind me. But the view of the sea drowned them all out- just as it would have if they all had jumped in. If you want to grow and progress, if you want to become more than you are, it really helps to stay in the solution. Whenever you find yourself wanting to lay blame for something, whenever you feel like complaining, whenever you end up in an uncomfortable situation (that isn’t uncomfortable simply because it is unfamiliar), ask yourself what the solution is. Find at least three options, so you can evaluate them.

This is not to say that you shouldn’t talk to others about what is going on for you. Talking to others can be a useful tool. But use that time to get feedback on the solutions you have uncovered, or to seek out new solutions, rather than self-indulgently complaining in a quest to receive sympathy. Sympathy gets you nowhere.
