Este alfabeto, diseñado durante (o a partir) del taller «Legible ilegible» de @lieve.cornil , era para el aniversario del lockdown, pero bueno, los tiempos del libro son diferentes ¶ Minimal tools, to project and design an alphabet, a book or a story with the materials that I have at home. Tuve el gusto de diseñar y componer este libro maravilloso de Luis Loyola Cano, «CORAL. Monólogos teatrales», editado por Saverio. Copio el texto que Luis escribió para la contratapa, que me parece una síntesis genial de lo que siento cuando diseño: «Este es un libro de monólogos teatrales. A veces en el teatro una persona habla sola, habla consigo misma o habla imaginariamente con alguien ausente. A esos textos los llamamos monólogos. Suele decirlos alguien, aunque también podría actuarlos un grupo hablando a coro. En el encuentro con el público (el público hace lo que llamamos teatro) siempre participa un conjunto de personas, una reunión de gente. Y nadie escribe en soledad, no hay desiertos: somos parte de una comunidad. En esta publicación, quienes lean también sabrán agregar con su interpretación aquello que se nos escapó o que todavía no alcanzamos a descubrir. Nuestra vida es coral. Es un canto a voces, hecho de opiniones diversas, de sonidos, acciones y palabras. A veces palabras dichas de un tirón, otras veces ensimismadas en soliloquios. Siempre colectivas. Buena parte de este libro fue escrito en colaboración. Puse en manos de una nueva escritura algunos textos de mi autoría para re-elaborarlos, para profundizar escenas o para, al menos, conocer mejor lo que ignoramos. Coral es un acto de apertura, una manera de estar a disposición y de compartir nuestras vidas. Ready for @cph_zine_fest 2022 (Info at the end). Here is one of my new zines. NMTK 𝗕, the first one, 𝗔, made her debut in Buenos Aires 2021 (Abschlussfest Diplomatura en Artes del Libro), and now it makes her debut in Copenhague (felicidad absoluta). NMTK is a zine band where all of my passions have their own place: typography, literature, languages, illustration, lettering, graphic, and the most beautiful thing is that they can mix with each other and enjoy the trip. The 𝗕 title is about a complot. A plot organized by German consonants against the vowels. Or it is about monster letters which need an argument to be published, and create this tale. Hallo/hola/ciao bellísimo zine +font + pattern. Ahora sí, no sé cuándo empezó este proyecto, en primavera o en invierno, las letras trajeron al fanzine o el fanzine llamó a la tipografía, y los pattern? The letters were cutted in linoleum between winter 2019 and fall 2021. Each letter is influenced by the facts of its moment and the diversity of its occurrence. They were called by the typography craft to be organized into a font family. Because of this, these uppercases were digitized during the spring of 2022, and I've decided to include a pattern set in the lowercase slots.
