if you're not reading the last book of SVSSS right now do you mind me asking what you are reading? I'm just curious!

Definitely! (though I warn you, I'm fundamentally incapable of reading only one thing at a time)

For physical books, I'm currently reading The Warden by Daniel M. Ford, the novelization of My Neighbour Totoro, and trying to keep up on Dracula Daily (i am failing this)

For audiobooks, I've been relistening to The Series of Unfortunate Events (because I never actually read them all when they were originally coming out) and I juuust finished This Census-Taker by China Miéville and Ogres by Adrian Tchaikovsky this weekend. I'm about to start A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers.

My thought exactly!! It's a very good thing that there's still S5, that it's gonna be huge, and even better, it's the season in which they'll reveal that "It was Will all along" lol. His story, his coming of age, and an epic, beautiful love story

RM Song Recs -Capricorn by Vampire Weekend

RM included Capricorn by Vampire Weekend amongst his April song recommendations. Vampire Weekend have been around since 2006 and their latest album Only God Was Above Us from which Capricorn is taken was released on 5th April 2024.

Capricorn is a song from another time and place a feeling which is accentuated by the late twentieth century NYC backdrop of the MV. Vulture describes it as "This ruminative little track on aging is about trudging along in what feels like the fallout of some bygone heyday. It’s the unwanted person lingering at the party that everyone is saying, “Who invited him??” about, but the party is Earth? NYC under the unbearable weight of latter-day capitalism? Human life itself?"

I'd be interested to know what drew RM to the track. Whatever the reason it is still the talk of the town. Lead singer Ezra Koenig has his own radio show on which he and his co-stars recently discussed RM and the boys from BTS. It's an interesting 10 minutes of radio play.

Twice in the last two days I’ve seen someone post about First [Local Flower] Of The Season and while I do ofc intellectually understand that there is such a thing as different climates, emotionally it makes my brain do the biggest double take. This has been an unusually mild winter but we’re still smack in the middle of it! There’s a solid 18 inches of snow on the ground. People are ice fishing. That ice is unlikely to break up until sometime in April

Girls Trip to Nassau - Bahamas Carnival Brings the Heat

Not much beats a getaway with the girls. Our weekend escape was packed with carnival pageantry, beach days and lots of quality time. The girls and I chose to visit The Bahamas for our carni-cation, this Lucayan gem is ideally located to the US with reasonable flights and amazing beaches.  Because of it’s convenience and our party plans, no PTO was required on our part for this long weekend trip.…
