“So, Celeste, what did you wanna tell us?” Chiara asked, flopping down next to her

“I-uh” she stumbled through her words, as Carmin discreetly links their hands, before picking up the topic “I actually also have an announcement to make”

“Shhh, Carmin, it’s Celeste’s turn to share” Pixie interrupts

“The announcement is from both of us, but before that-“ Celeste turns around and calls out “Pietro, is it in the oven already?” “Aye, aye cap’ain, I’ll wash my hands and be right there” after a little while, he comes in, jumping over the couch to sit next to Luan

“Anyways, what we wanted to tell you, is that-“ Carmin starts, before pulling hers and Celeste’s linked hands to her lap, pulling the other girl in and pecking her lips before placing an already done flower crown on her head, as she pulls away, she states “we’re dating!”

Everyone’s shocked and quiet for a beat, before Pixie yells “WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE!” from her spot draped over Chiara and everyone cheers, then Thiago lifts up his glass, as Celeste poured everyone a drink before they arrived, and says “I’d like to propose a toast” everyone sits up and lifts their glasses “To love!” “To love!” the others parrot

They start clinking their glasses together, standing up and dissolving into smaller groups to chat before dinner, while Pietro slips away to the kitchen to check on the rice

Thiago accosts the new couple “Hey, girls” he starts, to which they hum to show they’re listening “I just want you to know, that I’m aware you’ve been out for a little while, and I don’t know what the situation is with your families and everything, but, and I cannot stress this enough, you’re always welcome here, okay?” His eyes start watering “because when Luan-“ he gets interrupted by the arms of the two girls wrapping around him, knocking the air out of his lungs with the force, as they both mutter a quiet “Thanks, Thiago” against his chest

“Anytime, girls, anytime” He smiles

It’s actually kind of funny how at first it seemed like Carmín was the mean girl and Mara was her sidekick, but then it turned out that Mara was the real mean girl all along and Carmín was actually that new age hippie girl, who collects crystals and talks about chakras, auras, karma and all that stuff.
