More Hazbin babies? Plus Helluva Boss Kids?

Yep, you read the title right. Now mind you these guys may not have any connection to my current time line (May, it depends in all honestly.) Let me start with my Hazbin kids, one crack ship I have been super into is Sera and Carmilla. It has honestly been a ship of mine for a while and I have no idea why. But I feel like if anyone could charm a stiff like Sera, it'd be Carmilla. Anyway I do have a design from BRUXISMEAT.

I don't think this girl will have any relevance to my AU but I absolutely love her, I chose a rather ironic name and literally named her Seraphina. Cause I love that name. And now I have a surprise for you, a CherriPentious child. (She was originally a crack baby of Vaggie/Pentious. I do not ship them it was from a grid adopt.) Anyway, everyone meet Roshelle

She was a beautiful design that I've been in love with since day one. The artist who designed her was Faithful-Flower. The following designs are also from the same artist. Next we have some Helluva Boss babies. Let's start with my girl Matillda. She is the daughter of Millie & Moxxie.

She's a little wild fire who loves to cause chaos but at the same time be as helpful as possible. She has two friends as well who may or may not join in on the chaotic fun. Now that they're mentioned, allow me to introduce you to another gal. Everyone say hello to Mellariat. Her name was taken from the words Malaria and Lariat. That's it, her name doesn't mean anything, she is a Stolas x Blitzo child. Her power is unknown and she can be a bit self conscious about her looks but hides behind a cocky bravado much like her dad.

I also got an extra piece of art done by a friend of mine named TruDraws.

Last but not least, we have our adopted daughter of Loona, her name is Sloane. The art was done by bijutsuyoukai.

Plot: After her father's death, Dracula's daughter seeks to undo her vampiric curse and rejoin society.

Review: Though there are issues with the story and pacing, an interesting early portrayal of a conflicted vampire and queer subtext make this worth a watch.

Story: 2.5/5 - Messy. Its recapping is awkward and climax rushed. It also devotes too much time to inessential comedic relief. Still, Marya is a tragic character, and Jeffrey and Janet's relationship is fun.

Performances: 3.5/5 - Holden, echoing some of Lugosi's mannerisms, is the standout as a vampire combating loneliness. Also, Kruger and Churchill play off each other well.

Cinematography: 3.5/5 - Not as gothic and distinct as its predecessor, but still features some striking shots.

Editing: 3/5 - A few really good uses of dissolves.

Music: 2.5/5 - Generic.

Sets: 3/5 - Proficiently dressed and realistic if a bit generic.

🎷 SAXOPHONE - do they play any instruments? are they any good at it?

well, all my ocs are connected to the world of art, so music was not going to be less. In this case, we got genji who plays the guitar, the bass, the drums and the piano, he had a lonely childhood, so music was his best friend; elijah knows a lot about music and he plays the bass; zephyra is a singer more than a musician, but she's now learning with genji to play the guitar; seth plays the drums, although he has a hand for all kinds of percussion; vivienne is a piano prodigy and she's been playing it since she was four yo; astriel also plays the piano and is a piano teacher; and, finally, carmilla plays the violin.

Dracula’s Daughter (1936)

Lambert Hillyer’s Dracula’s Daughter (1936), produced for Universal, is less of a sequel to Todd Browning’s iconic Dracula (1931) than something of a remix. It freely combines elements of Browning’s film, Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu’s novella “Carmilla” (1871), and Bram Stoker’s short story “Dracula’s Guest,” while almost entirely ignoring the text of Stoker’s original novel. Perhaps owing to the five years that passed between the first film and its sequel, or the replacement of Browning as director, Dracula’s Daughter tramples the continuity of the preceding film, dispensing with all the characters from the original film aside from Edward Sloan’s Professor Van Helsing (who has for some inexplicable reason been renamed “Von Helsing”). 

With Dracula killed by Von Helsing at the conclusion of the first film (a wax cast of Bela Lugosi was for the body), the film instead focuses on his daughter - the soulful, tormented vampire Countess Marya Zaleska (Gloria Holden). Countess Zaleska seeks to escape her dark urges, first by destroying her father’s body, then through the wonders of modern psychiatry. In a strange choice, the film fuses this gothic storyline with frequent doses of broad humor (Scotland Yard is comically inept) and screwball-comedy hijinks between Doctor Garth (Otto Kruger) and his secretary Janet (Marguerite Churchill) - who will of course becomes the target of Countess Zaleska’s attentions.

Universal released Dracula’s Daughter with the marketing taglines, “She gives you that weird feeling!” and, more tellingly, “Save the women of London from Dracula’s Daughter!” It is, arguably, the first definitively queer vampire story in the history of cinema - even if it, unsurprisingly, depicts the Countess’ queerness as a monstrous. Interestingly, however, the film also shows her queerness as much stronger than her desire to repress it; despite her wishes, Countess Zaleska is unable to remain in the closet - or the coffin, as it were. Production Code-era censors excised some of the most overt lesbian overtones from the film, but the subtext of struggling with forbidden desires remains.

Hilariously, owing to the Transatlantic accent employed by the majority of the actors in the film, every time an actor in Dracula’s Daughter mentions Doctor Garth, it sounds as if they are talking about “Doctor Goth” - appropriate for a film that Anne Rice cites as a major influence on her “Vampire Chronicles.”

Personality: If you we're to put Esperanza in one category it would be chaotic. From the moment she knew how to craw she probably caused the most mischief out of most of the kids she knows. As she gets older she doesn't exactly improve her behavior, she truly upholds as a child of hell, she is crafty, underhanded, and has probably the most unhealthy sense of humor. That isn't to say she's a bad kid, she just loves causing chaos but of course her actions due often have some consequences.

Fun Facts: - Her inspiration is basically Louise from Bob's Burgers but somehow far more chaotic.

She knows that her name is kind of a big deal and uses it to her advantage, even more so as she ages.

Her hat was originally a little different, it was a gift her dad got from a gift shop in heaven and he gave it to her super young, (Yeah apparently they have gift shops, who knew) and it is her favorite possession. She's loved it ever since. She has never taken it off and anyone else touching it or taking it is a death sentence that her petty ass will drag out till she sees fit.

She is indeed daddy's little girl and also tends to use that to her advantage. It doesn't always work but she'd be a fool to not keep trying.

Her tail is a neat little add on, she had a tail similar to her auntie Char but due to an accident with an angelic weapon and her not being careful, she lost a good chunk of it. With time however her aunt Oddie helps build an equally as cool one. She may or may not use it to intimidate other demons cause why not.

Her hooves we're given a bit of angelic steel as well, similar to horse shoes and they pack a punch in a dangerous situation. No her dad was not huge on the idea of her having weapons but he'd sooner her be safe than not so it was shut down quick.

Esperanza lives more with her mother then her father, they're not divorced, her dad just tends to stay where he's comfortable and her mother where she's comfortable. It's an odd situation but Espe doesn't mind. At least not all the time, it gets a bit frustrating but she adjusts.

Most of Esperanza's friends are demons her dad trusts, just in case things go array, he still isn't big on sinners but that doesn't entirely stop Espe from venturing outside her friends. It hasn't always ended well.

I have been looking forward to sharing this girl with all of you, the artist BijutsuYoukai has finally gotten back to me on the design of Clara & Lucius's child. Let me just say she looks even better then I expected. While this did happen yesterday, I opted to post today because I wanted help in her name. I had a shit ton of name ideas for this girl and managed to narrow it down. So without further ado, I'd love for everyone to meet the Mischievous Daughter of Clara Carmine and Lucius Morningstar, everyone say hello to Esperanza Carmine-Morningstar.

She is going to be the most chaotic out of the next gen group. (Who will only be encouraged by Molly from time to time) However she will be the one creating most if not all the mischief. This includes harassing many she just doesn't like for reasons that truly don't matter. If you get on her bad side, her spiteful nature will make sure you regret ever so much as looking at her in a negative way. Her biggest rule is never touch the hat.
