Honestly if James Vowles tells soft hearted Carlos who has to harden himself to compete that they will take of him, I am gonna flung myself out of a window 🫠
Oh anon, I am 100% sure James already told Carlos, in his incredibly measured and soft voice that he's going to take such good care of him. And Carlos melted (and signed).
I cannot wait for the radio messages next year and James constantly praising Carlos during press conferences and interviews 🥹

Let's talk about Logan.
It's most definitely not his fault. He wasn't ready. He isn't ready. Maybe if he had had another year, we would be looking at the future of F1, but a combination of James and Williams American Sponsors left Logan with one opportunity that he was never going to get ever again.
It's devastating, and it's tragic, and it is reality.
Logan Sargeant deserved a real, fair chance in F1. Williams wasn't that. Not with the TP crooning about the first driver constantly, about how the first driver is going to be the one the team focuses on.
But he gives Logan a second chance.
Or, rather, based on what has been coming out of late, the American Sponsors give him another chance. And in retaliation, the TP spends the entirety of the rest of the season essentially making it clear to everyone that while Logan has the second seat, he was never James's first choice.
So be it.
But what the Williams team weren't prepared for is the fact that the American Sponsors weren't wrong for keeping Logan in the seat for another year. Just on here and even on Instagram (screw X, the demon child), the support, if anything, grew.
Because you talk about dignity and then you take away his car.
You talk about skill and then the driver you replace him with doesn't score points.
You talk about talent, but the driver you're replacing him with has been in Red Bulls and Ferraris. One would hope that he is skilled.
You don't talk about the fact that the whole world is watching you publicly embarrass someone whom you yourself say you have a "duty of care" for.
You don't talk about the fact that maybe Logan would have stood a chance if the Feedback actually came from you instead of the pretty little sentence on the radio at the end.
So unfortunately, but realistically, Logan Sargeant is out of F1.
But his legacy will live on. He is the first American to score points in 30 years. He is the reason people on this website and across the media were able to clock that Mr. Nice Guy is just a very good act.
He's the reason so many Americans did start tuning in.
He's one of the reasons that the conversation about the way drivers are treated in this sport is a conversation that isn't going away.
It's not the legacy he had in mind, but it is an important one.
So thank you, Logan, for paving the way. You're in the record books, and we appreciate what it took for you to get there.

Ferrari and Williams are both definitely cursed but in very different ways
Like Ferrari somehow invoked the wrath of an ancient entity or was cursed by the gods for their hubris during the Schumacher era. The team is consumed by the curse and in turn consumes the drivers, e.g. Massa, Alonso, Vettel, Leclerc, Sainz. Those affected slowly lose their souls in an ancient and terrible way. The entire affair is a tragedy.
( Kimi Räikkönen was of course immune to the curse, for reasons extremely frustrating to the ancient curse-giver.)
Williams however, is experiencing some sort of cobbled together voodoo or witchcraft, purchased from some hag in a shed in the Appalachian mountains or a witch doctor in an alley somewhere. It’s not concerned with long-term suffering or legacies tainted; it's just inflicting the most damage as possible as soon as possible. There’s no all-powerful being and their wrath invoked; this is sheer human pettiness. Someone Kyle Kirkwood has inflicted this because of some spiteful grudge Williams’s treatment of Logan Sargeant and is cackling. The cars are just falling apart at the seams and giving up the ghost with zero provocation, and when they aren’t, Albon or Colapinto immediately bins it into the wall. Everyone at Williams is experiencing the horrors. No one—not the cruel team principal, the teammate who remains, the replacement, the unsupportive garage, or the poor mechanics—is spared. The entire affair is kinda funny.

“It’s why i described it as dating. We had a first coffee — lovely date. Then light texting, as you do. Little bit of flirting, as you do. Then the conversation, after Lewis happened, kicked off more in earnest.”
— James Vowles on the F1 Nation podcast
aka Williams do you have a HR specialising in employee relations because you should be very concerned

Carlos has 100% a praise kink, boy loves to be reassured and reminded of how good he is 🥰
Also I'm starting to think James has a degradation kink bc the love bombing and putting himself out there so all of us can see him begging; baby boy get up 🫢
Yes, 100% Carlos has a praise kink (tbf I think all F1 drivers have some sort of praise kink). And given how James has been speaking about Carlos recently, James would be so so so good at praising him 🥹 (this might be why I'm into this ship so much 🫣)
And humiliation/degradation kink for James? You know what? You might be onto something, anon. But how would that play out in a Carlos/James scenario, I'm not sure 🤔 I can't really see Carlos being mean to someone like James, even in a kinky scenario, that boy is too soft 🫣
How would that work, folks? 👀

My hopes for Logan is that he gets far, far away from the Williams teams because the way that James vowel openingly talks about that 2nd seat and wanting sainz in it on f1 tv is absolutely disgusting to me, while his current driver in that seat is fighting for his career in unfair conditions. To make that information known publicly is so unfair to Logan and at this point I really don’t know what game James vowels is playing with Logan because the one he is playing is cruel. I hope Logan can stay in f1 but with a different team next year.

The fact that James Vowles has publicly criticized Christian Horner for his treatment of Alex when he's doing the same to Logan as we speak is baffling.
Nearly everyone figured Logan wouldn't be re-signed at the end of this season, even his biggest supporters.
Let him go with dignity. Shop around privately. You think a guy like Carlos Sainz, who was very very very publicly dropped for a World Champion wasn't already looking for anywhere to go? You think Valtteri Bottas, who used to drive for Williams and Mercedes, doesn't know how to read the goddamn signs?
Australia was the beginning of the end for Williams and James's reputation, but my god did they just hit full send.
If James had not gone before the media, if this Esteban thing had only leaked and there was no other backing info like James's soundbites, I would bet you all the money in the world, there would be plenty more people defending Williams.

You know what's going to be wild about Abu Dhabi post race? Carlos is probably going to say his goodbyes to Ferrari before the test.
Maybe do a helmet exchange - hugs, champagne. And the LEAVE the garage.
He's going to finish the test and then go to the Williams garage. He's going to meet with the Williams team and the William's engineers. He's going to be with his new teammate and new reserve driver, and team principal.
Garage 55 at Ferrari (the haunted house with a picket fence) is going to be empty.
Carlos Sainz with all his love, glory, quirky energy and wistful spirit is going to be a William's driver. Loved. Cherished. One of them.
Garage 55 at Ferrari dissappearing. Empty. Taking all the love out with Carlos.
