I find it really interesting that Carlos has been so quiet in all of this. And the reason it strikes me as so weird is because this is his identity. He is a scientist. He has always been referred to as Carlos the Scientist. What is going to happen when the town that he loves and calls home, suddenly takes that identity from him?

What kind of crisis will this throw him into?

Because let's be honest, science is his thing, it's a part of him and to have that stripped away, I think he would be devastated.
