But I am presenting you with a different vision of science, and I hope you have seen that I have done so for my entire decade in your community. A science that is your neighbor, a science that seeks not to steal the stars, but to show them to you all the better.

So I am asking you, my community, to trust me. To trust that the best way to fight science used for ill is not superstition, or a retreat away from everything we have learned, or to distrust all science. Science is a tool, helpful and dangerous, but we will use it only for our fellow humans, with the benefit of the least of us always in mind. This is the only true way to face up to those who use this most beautiful of human inventions against humanity itself. I invite you to join me in doing so. ”

Carlos got full-named. I repeat, Carlos the Scientist, husband and father, has a legit last name (and a middle name, apparently).

It only took 11 years for us to learn that much.

Oh man WTNV 230 "Carlos Explained" told SO much from one line from Janet Lubelle.

"You get the funding for researching a weird desert town, but I couldn't get the funding to make eye exploding measles?"(Paraphrased)

In one sentence she explains the kind of scientist she is,the kind who'd try to change the world just for the sake of changing it, regardless of how it would effect others.

As much as her audible disdain for Night Vale said otherwise, her explanations changing the physical world to her whim gave her the power she desperately wanted, but was thankfully never given in the Normal world.

Science should be used as a tool to improve lives, and explain away problems that make things difficult for people, Dr Lubelle however much like pharmaceutical companies skews data without peer review as long as it fits their agenda, and alters an entire eco-system just because she could.

In short, she's a colonizer, not a proper scientist, and I hope that dead cow carcass hurt bad.
