ニュー・アルバムのリリースを首を長くして待っている、っていうアーティスト、誰もが1人2人はいると思うのですが、僕にとってはこのThis Is The Kitもそのひとつと言えるでしょう。本作は３年ぶりのアルバムです。

This Is The Kitは、英国出身でフランス在住のシンガー・ソングライター、Kate Stables（ケイト・ステイブルス）が率いるユニット。本作も少しだけ実験的でしかし奇を衒わず、時に華やかな色彩を帯び、切れ味の良いリズムのコンテンポラリーなフォークサウンド。さらりと自然な洗練を帯びていて、なんとも心地よい清潔感があります。

メンバー達の手による楽曲の持つ有機的な輝き、そしてKate Stablesの歌。過剰に「歌い上げる」というタイプではありません。歌いすぎることなしに、落ち着いて説得力のある、サラリとした優しい肌触りにこそ、むしろ彼女の秘めた力強さを感じます。
