Day 4 of 5 day workout week:
It’s a cardio day again! I haven’t done high intensity step aerobics in a hot minute! In my humble opinion, nothing tops the calorie output of a solid, challenging step workout. I mean, just look at that calorie burn! 🔥
-I did about 50 minutes of step double risers! This routine had 8 rounds of choreographed combos followed by low-impact/high intensity blasts. I finished with weighted abs on the mat and a cooldown/stretch.
Total calorie burn = 423 kcals ✨
That’s 4 down, one more to go! Uno mas! 🙌🏽🫶🏽

I got a runner’s high for the first time on Friday! I dunno if running is worth it, but I enjoy being able to breathe more. I’ve also been practicing my confession, cuz I’ve never had to do one before. All my previous girlfriends confessed to me.
Still, my resolve on both my cardio and my confession hasn’t wavered in the least.

Day 2 of 5 day workout week:
Today was a cardio day! I’ve been building my own workouts lately using functional training components, so I decided to work on a low-impact cardio workout. I labeled it as “mixed cardio” because some of the segments had a HIIT quality to them and some rounds were more steady state. Overall, I was quite happy with the calorie burn! ☺️
-The cardio routine was about 49 minutes of low-impact, compound exercises. Some rounds had no equipment, some rounds used a 6 lb med ball, and some rounds used 3 lb weights. I then added weighted abs/core and ended with a cooldown/stretch.
Total calorie burn = 401 kcals 🥳
That’s 2 for 2 on really fun days in the gym this week! Let’s see what we can get pumping for Hump Day! 🤔
