hellooo i am Intrigued by the qsmp i keep hearing about things that are going on there and im like "oh i gotta get into this" so. where should i start with it. like should i go back and watch a bunch of vods or do i just hop in to whatevers going on now and worry about it later. and like who should i watch/start with

Omg hello!! First of all I’m honored you’ve come to me about this!! :D

I’ll link below the first and second part of a qsmp recap made by the qsmp itself! This is a good start if you don’t wanna go ALL the way back to the start of the server, as it has been a few months now!

There are a few certain days I would recommend watching VODS for! Ex. Cellbit and Roiers wedding, First egg adoption day, festa junina, election dinner, as well as the days the French or Brazilians arrived if you wanna get more in depth!

VODS are not a necessity though and there are plenty of people who will update you and/or gladly tell you what’s been happening! There are so many update accounts everywhere on different social medias too!

As for POVs that is entirely up to you! I would recommend at least 1 person per language but that is just a recommendation! It’s just how I do it to keep updated! But it’s not a necessity once again! There is also many different aspects! I enjoy more lore heavy people as well as people who stream for a LONG time! So keep those things in mind!

You can find so many people who watch the other povs to provide info though if you decide to only watch one or two!

Some lore heavy CC’s are Forever, Cellbit, and Max off of the top of my head

Some longer stream people are Foolish, Badboyhao, and Cellbit again off the top of my head

Here's my art for Capypril day 3 💃 the prompt was favorite so I drew a Capy eating popcorn (my favorite food)

Been back from vacation for around four days now and learned about Charles Martinet retiring, which did bum me out.

Like don't get me wrong, I knew this day would happen eventually. Nintendo clearly wants their franchise to go on for as long as they can, and Martinet is already rather old. It was only a matter of time before he would have to pass on the torch. But i guess I just didn't expect it to happen this soon ?

On that note, I'm actually not that worried for Mario's voice. In the trailer of Mario Wonder, the new actor sounds a lot like Martinet, to the point where many thought it was him (myself included). And considering Nintendo being Nintendo, they'll probably not tolerate a bad imitator. I'm also not worried for Wario since Wario Ware Gold happened so him having another voice won't be too weird (for context I played this game in french). As for Waluigi, he's a character I don't care that much for so I won't mind if he sounds a bit different.

Now Luigi is actually the one I'm worried about, because Martinet gives him such a soft-spoken dorky shy vibe and I couldn't imagine him any other way. I'm going to miss him sounding like a dorky sweetheart trying his best to be as brave as his bro...

Oh and also, a few things I've read and agree on : 1. It'd be better if each of those characters get their own voice actor that can imitate them well, rather than trying to get one person who can do some voices well but others not, 2. It sucks that Martinet didn't get to voice his characters one last time in the movie, tho given there's going to be sequels, it makes the casting decision makes a bit more sense (makes more sense as in "not casting Martinet so that there's no actor change for the sequel which would makes the voices sound off", not the whole "shitty popular guy instead of an actual voice actor" thing), 3. At least Martinet chose to retire instead of being unfairly fired. Hell Nintendo actually recognized how much of an impact Martinet had on their characters and made him the Mario franchise's ambassador ! It's great !

In any case, thank you Charles Martinet for voicing our childhood. ❤ The cheerfulness and dorkyness those characters have wouldn't exist without you, and may you have a happy retirement.

the funniest thing about qsmp for me is how q!foolish is such a cartoonesqued character. everything about him looks like he was taken out of a kid's old cartoon since lore events and even interactions with other islanders.

yesterday everyone was getting out of their ways so they could try to figure out what was going on with luffy, elena and cucurucho, but q!foolish had all the info q!bagi and q!phil needed to make a more precise theory about the situation because he's an actual federation agent, but he's so unapologetically unserious that nobody bothered to ask him later in the day. this guy has the capys magic powers in his hands, access to a lot of federation informations, insane building skills, FUCKING SHARK CUSTOM ARMOR and yet nobody would ever think he's a threat because he's just a silly guy living his best life with his daughter and grandson.

I did some research on capybaras (which by the way was very interesting, since one of my favorite things when I make a hybrid! character is researching the animal and its characteristics), so I hope you like it <3

summary: New Jeans sets out to find out why capybaras recently been a sensation among people, social media and the animal kingdom, by meeting one for the first time!

Seoul National Hybrid University (SNHU) has university houses close to campus for its students. One of said houses is occupied by Hanni, Danielle, Minji, Haerin and Hyein —although Hyein is only doing Pre-university, before officially joining as soon as she sends her exam results and final averages.—

In this way, only five rooms of the six in the house are really occupied, because the one that is free, the girls use it as a kind of storage-room.

So it's an empty room.

That is, until Haerin opens the door, ready to throw another piece of junk inside, a cat toy that she broke because she doesn't know how to keep her claws still, and she finds that there is a damn capybara snoring in the bed, which until this morning, it was empty.

The creature lies on its side on the blankets like a deformed dog, and even lets out a snort in its sleep.

If she had her way, history would say that she remained calm and collected; that she silently took out her phone and sent a text message to the group chat, and she would simply leave the storage-room and return to her room. In the morning, she would brainstorm with Hanni, Danielle, Minji, and Hyein about what the hell she had seen, and she would go on her merry way and simply no one would do more about it. Because, a capybara in the damn room? Seriously? The largest rodent in the world, and also quite docile. Nothing to be scared about.

But history will tell otherwise, because instead of calming down, Haerin is screeching and meowing. And upon noticing her, she immediately covers her mouth with her hand, but the damage has already been done. The capybara wakes up with a screech and lets out some warning barks.

All the noise in the storage-room, that is, the barking of the capybara, as well as Haerin's desperate feline meows and screeches, are so loud, there is no way that the rest of the girls cannot notice that something, whatever that is, it's happening.

"No no no. Shut the fuck up. You can't bark at me, you big rat," Haerin hisses, trying to be dominant, in order to defend herself from the big rodent that stands on top of the bed and glares at her. But she's just a scared kitten who plays the tough role, and doesn't do it very well.

“HAERIN ARE YOU OK? YOU ARE DYING? I'M ON MY WAY!" Danielle, loud and hyperactive as she is, is the first to come to the grumpy hybrid cat's rescue.

The puppy peeks out from behind Haerin, whose tail and ears are perking up, to bump into the barking capybara on the bed.

“Is that a radioactive rat?” she asks, tail wagging gently.

“How am I supposed to know, you stinky puppy? I opened the fucking door and it was there!”

For a moment the capybara on the bed takes a backseat, while Danielle and Haerin fight like a cat and dog, trying to decide if what is on the bed is a deformed, obese dog or a giant radioactive rat.

“I'm a capybara, actually?” You interrupt their discussion gently, after resuming your human form. The little ears are still poking out of your head, half hidden by the brown hair, as is the tail, where...well, where the tails go.

Haerin and Danielle look at you, in a mix of caution and silly surprise. They look meticulously at the room, detailing that there are some half-open boxes.

“Hi” you greet, smiling slightly and holding out your hand.

What are you doing in that room? In the storage- room? What if you're a sociopath who took over the room and is going to kill them all? In Haerin's head, all the panic alerts are on.

Not Danielle's.

Haerin will never understand what kind of gears move a dog's brain; she swears Danielle has sawdust in her head.

"And you are…?" Haerin inquires, with a knot in her stomach. She ignores the outstretched hand, even after Danielle does accept it.

“Oh, sorry. I'm your new roommate, I just moved in this morning. Didn't they give you notification? They were supposed to send it to your mailbox…”

Ah yes, the mailbox. Danielle hates the mailman. She probably ran around him, and in the process she missed the envelope that contained the notification inside it.

“Uh, uh, no. I'm sorry," Haerin feels less tense knowing that at least you're not a sociopath who's going to kill them. “So, you were the sleeping capybara?”

You nod your head.

“I was just supposed to take a nap and then wake up to say hello, but…” you wave your hand, smiling slightly embarrassed, cheeks rosy. “Things didn't go according to plan.”

"Don't worry! You just scared Haerin to death, but she's over it," Danielle comforts you, whose tail wags so enthusiastically that it looks like the propellers of a helicopter, while she animatedly pats Haerin's shoulders. She hisses back at her.

But before you can answer, the rest of the inhabitants of the house heads to the room-no longer-cellar, due to Danielle's lack of return after saying that she would go to 'save Haerin'. A hybrid bear towers over the others, while floppy bunny ears appear among the group, along with a bushy fox tail.

Minji, Hanni and Hyein, respectively, as introduced to you by Danielle.

“So it's because of you that Haerin screamed as if someone had eaten her cans of tuna,” Minji comments, covering her mouth, half yawning, half laughing. She is disheveled, as if she just woke up from a nap.

“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare her, or you”

“L-let's just hope t-the screams don't happen again.” Hanni lets out a shy giggle, then adjusts her floppy ears. She seems to be sensitive to noise, and she is softer and gentler than the others.

“With Haerin in this house, it's kind of difficult,” Danielle responds, panting with her tongue out to cool herself. Having her tail wag so vigorously must have tired her out. “But maybe you'll give us some peace,” she says, looking in your direction.

"What are you saying? Me?"

“You're a capy-something, aren't you?” Hyein, the youngest of them all, asks with genuine interest. Her bushy tail dances behind hers, with the elegance that Danielle's tail does not have, even though they share some kinship relationship as they belong to the same Canidae family.

“Capybara, yeah”

“They say that capybaras are very popular. People love them, they are like… super sociable, calm and very adorable” Hanni has done her research on it, a fact that makes her blush hard, realizing that it is as if she had done some research on you. Or more precisely, as if she had deliberately commented on that, because you are there.

"That's why I say it! Maybe if she's here, she'll make us get along better. Finally someone will be able to exorcise the demon that Haerin has inside!” The nonsense that Danielle constantly says makes you unable not to smile. You can still hold back a little the laughter, but you have the feeling that the more you live with her, the less you will be able to stop yourself from laughing.

Minji yawns again, slumping against Haerin, who wraps her arms around her waist and nestles her chin against the crook of her neck.

“Haerin doesn't have a demon inside her. Haerin is the demon,” Minji points out, laughing. To annoy Haerin, the bear hybrid plants a kiss on her cheek that makes her hiss. "You see? totally demonized”

It seems like everyone is very close, which is nice. And friendly too, because they make you feel very welcome.

“Don't pay attention to those three,” Hyein suggests with a smile, referring to Dani, Minji and Haerin. “They're like the Three Stooges, really.”

“They don't seem that bad to me” You smile, realizing that she doesn't mean it in a bad way. But from affection. She knows them. And she loves them. It is that type of love and closeness that implies mockery and complicity.

“Anyway, we're glad you're here. It's..-” Hannie covers her ears, because Danielle is barking again.

“Because you are another person to love!”

When you think that someone, probably Haerin (you don't have to live with them much to realize that they get along like a cat and a dog and that, even so, they love each other very much), is going to tell Dani to shut up for shouting cheesy things, they all nod in agreement.

“If they say people love capybaras, why don't we?” Despite Danielle's earlier outburst, which causes Hanni to panic and cover her ears, she continues. Her voice is so gentle and soft it sweetens your ears. “We will have plenty of time to get to know you”

“Let's see if capybaras are as charming as people make them out to be on social media.” Haerin snorts under her breath, but you notice how he looks at you for a moment, eyes shining, before looking away with a growl. Tsundere.

“They must be! You seem huggable” Minji seems like the only thing she cares about is whether you're comfy and soft to cuddle with. She's a hybrid bear, taking naps with people she likes is something you'll have to get used to from now on.

Then another discussion breaks out about why-capybaras-are-so-loved-and-popular, which only makes you smile.

Living in this house will not be boring at all.

Not when there are five hybrids who seem to just had a crush on you.

Which only proves that capybaras are capable of having anyone head over heels.

Request: Could you maybe write a part 2 to your "Soccer Moms" story? Maybe something with Claudia getting jealous because her and Alexia are injured and can't play or y/n and Alexia being protective over her since she's injured? I loved seeing that family dynamic! Also, these are just suggestions, but anything with their little family is appreciated! Your writing is fantastic btw!

Part 1 Soccer Moms

“SÍ TANA!” you shout in ecstasy as Aitana sends a rocket into the goal, the goalkeeper having no chance to even move from her spot. El Johan erupts in joyous cheers as the young girl sprints your way and you easily catch her when she jumps on you. “Que golazo!”

“It’s all yours, the assist was perfect!” she beams as you let her down and you laugh at her humble self. With a squeeze to her shoulder you gently nudge the side of her head and send her back to her position to restart the game. 

Claudia frowns at the proud look on your face and she huffs, crossing her arms over her chest. Cata takes a glance at Pina from the seat next to her and she raises an eyebrow when the injured girl slides lower in her seat, almost sulking in her spot. 

“VAMOSS CAPITANA!” this time it’s Aitana and Patri’s voices that make her refocus on the match, only now noticing that you’ve scored yet another goal. Claudia watches on as her two friends cling to you, almost hanging off your arms as the team celebrates. She so desperately wishes to be there right now, playing and celebrating with you. 

Another huff leaves her nostrils as she brings her hand up to chew on her nails, an anxious habit of hers. Another hand swats her away from her mouth and she knows who it is before they speak up.

“Pinita, stop chewing your nails, you'll make them hurt.” Alexia scolds from the seat above and Claudia obliges immediately. A second later the full time whistle deafens her and within an instant you’re off towards your bench wanting to celebrate with your two favorite people, both who are currently out with injuries.  

The wide smile on your face is contagious and makes Alexia grin as well while the younger brunette merely musters up her own smile.

“Clau, you saw that goal? I scored the first goal for you!” you excitedly tell the girl as you gather her in your arms and press a big kiss to her cheek. Claudia’s face heats up at the action, despite it being an everyday thing, and she squeezes your hand.

“I did, it was good.” she comments as she lets you go and your eyebrows furrow in slight concern for her lack of enthusiasm. 

“Do I not get a goal?” Alexia’s teasing voice brings the smile back to your face and you move closer to your girlfriend who eagerly hugs you. Her hand wanders to the back of your head as she feels you discreetly press a kiss to her neck before you let her go. 

“The second one was for you” you inform her and she gives you a playful wink, urging you to celebrate with the other girls too.

You pull her with you, only now noticing that the team’s bench has cleared and everyone is on the field. You’re about to jump on Mapi’s back when something catches your eye.

“Pina!” you hold the girl by her arm who stares up at you rather confused until you motion at her leg “Didn’t the physio tell you to not put pressure on it?” she rolls her eyes at the rhetorical question, pulling her wrist from your soft grasp.

“I’m fine, it’s fine” she brushes your concerns off, making a show of it as she demonstrates her wobbly walk. 

“See? It doesn’t hurt. Now will you let me go and be with Patri?” there’s a certain tone to her voice that has you frowning but you nod, watching as she hobbles away from you. You wonder what could’ve upset her but before you know it, you’re roped into Mapi’s shenanigans and you forget about the little incident. 

“Come Capi, I’m sure Ale wants to celebrate this in a special way!” she barks out a laugh at your bewildered expression and you push at her when you realize what she meant. 

The next couple of days after the game are a bit more relaxing, Jona focusing on recovery and rehab for the injured players as well. You swing an arm around your favorite youngster’s shoulders as she walks into the facility. She leans against your shoulder before she abruptly pulls her head back, almost as if she did something wrong.

“How’d you sleep Pinita?” it was your usual question, the first every morning.

“Good.” the answer is rather short and though it’s not bad, it is underwhelming. Claudia usually mentioned something about what she dreamt or how her breakfast was when you’d ask that question. You shrug it off though.

“And how is that ankle of yours? Getting any better?”

“Yeah, it’s fine.” she answers blankly and this time you knit your eyebrows together at her lack of - well, everything. You figured that maybe she was just feeling a bit under the weather.

“Don’t you worry bebé, you’ll be back on the pitch soon” you rub her shoulder affectionately as to punctuate your encouraging words. However, it seems to have the opposite effect from what you hoped.

“Mhmm” the brunette hums as she wriggles out of your hold, turning the corner towards the indoor gym - where she’d be doing rehab - before you get another word out. 

Your walking comes to a halt as you stare after her, slight hurt in your eyes and feeling rather helpless. You contemplate over what to do, you question why Claudia might behave towards you like this, but you decide that you’d leave her to be. You would just ask her later on.

That plan didn’t go the way you wanted it to and three days later you find yourself in Alexia’s arms in the middle of the empty locker room. Her hand softly rubs your back up and down and she lets you lean most of your weight on her. She had noticed how you seemed to be emotionally spent. 

“Talk to me, mi amor. Is everything okay?” she softly whispers, afraid to break the bubble the two of you had created. She tightens her hold on you as you let out a small sigh, humming at you in question.

“Did I do something wrong? Do you think I upset her in some way, Ale?” you mumble into her neck, your lips tickling the skin there. Alexia frowns at your deflated tone.

“Upset who? I don’t think you could upset anyone querida” you softly smile at her, a hand playing with the ends of her hair before you pull back a bit to look her in the eye.

“Claudia. She’s been avoiding me and whenever I ask her something she’s always short with her answers.” you can see the brunette in front of you ponder over your words and you continue. 

“And she also has been pushing me away- you know how much Pina likes hugs.” you reason to her, now pulling away as you gesture with your hands. 

Your girlfriend carefully takes your hands in hers instantly calming you a bit and you stare into her big hazel eyes, eyes you loved so much. 

“I’m sure she is just a bit overwhelmed, you know how I was at the beginning of my injury.” you nod as she points out and she moves your arms to circle her waist. “Don’t worry too much, I know how you get when it’s her-”

“- Or you” you interrupt her and Alexia chuckles.

“Yes, and me. Try to talk to her about it. Or I can talk to her if you’d like that better?” she offers upon noticing your distressed expression and you nod, pressing a sweet kiss to her awaiting lips.

“Sí, por fa. I don’t want her to be even more upset with me” a sad look flashes across Alexia’s face but she nods to your request. She stares at you for a moment and then she pulls you into her arms again, keeping a firm hold on you. The click of the door being opened makes you turn towards it, your expression slightly faltering when you recognize the person standing in the doorway.

Alexia clears her throat as she places a hand on the small of your back, a gentle encouragement. 

“Or you could just talk to her now” she’s out the door before you can blink, closing it behind her and effectively trapping you in the same room with the young forward. A beat of silence passes by and then another one as you stand across from each other, awkwardly shuffling from foot to foot. 

“I was at the physios” Claudia tells you in a nervous tone, somehow picking up on your worry without you having to voice it. You nod and clear your throat.

“Good, that’s good.” you wince at the frustrated huff she lets out and will yourself to look at her. 

You instantly spot the tears welling up in her eyes and the sad yet guilty expression she’s wearing. Your eyes rake over her form, the anxious lip biting and the way she’s picking at her fingers.

 You feel your heart break at the sight of her so small, so vulnerable and it doesn’t take you much thinking to, once again, gather her in your arms and cradle her close to your chest. A muffled cry breaks out of Claudia’s mouth and she lets herself melt into you - into your warmth that she’s missed so much. 

Like Alexia has done with you, you let the younger girl put her weight on you and you're careful of her foot still in her boot. 

“Pinita bebé” you whisper into her ear but her only reaction is to hold onto you even tighter. “I’m really sorry if I upset you somehow. I know my worrying can be annoying and overbearing, but you know how much I care about you.”

She frantically shakes her head at your words, pulling away just enough so that she could tell you what’s been bothering her.

“No, it’s not that. I like when you worry about me, you and Ale.” she tells you sincerely with a small sniffle and you give her a comforting smile. 

“It’s just- I wanna be out there and I want to play and this stupid sprain won’t let me” she mutters, angrily gesturing at her boot. She swallows hard and then looks up at you again, her eyes telling you more before her voice does. 

“And I guess I was jealous of you. Lo siento. It’s silly, I know but you could play and score goals and it just didn’t seem fair. I missed you, I missed playing with you and I wanted to be the one celebrating with you and- and” she exhales in frustration as she gathers her thoughts.

 “It’s only been a few weeks and I’m already so bored of this thing” she again points to her injured leg and you laugh at her wording, getting a smile out of the girl. 

“I miss you too mi pequeña, and it’s not silly. It’s okay to feel like this Pina, it is normal and we’re all here to help you.” you softly cup her cheeks and she leans into you, eyes shining with adoration. 

“I did talk to Jona though and the physio, if everything goes well you can be back to playing in two weeks bebé!”

“Two weeks?!” she excitedly squeals, eyes widening in happiness and you grin at her with just as much enthusiasm. It's as if that was all Pina needed because she visibly relaxes and the sulking expression is replaced by pure joy.

“Two weeks!” Claudia jumps into your arms tucking her head into the crook of your neck and you smile into her shoulder. A pair of arms wrapping around the two of you makes you glance up and your eyes connect with those hazel ones, bringing peace to your mind. Alexia sends you a loving smile as she kisses Pina’s cheek before leaning closer to kiss you. 

“Te amo mi amor” she whispers to you in her softest voice, her eyes only softer as you blush.

“Yo también te amo” 

“Los amo a ambos” and just like that, for the first time in a week, you feel whole again with your two favorite people in your arms.

I... honestly feel nothing atp. I'm not sure how to describe my feelings other than 😟😟😟 While i understand that technically Capi isn't dead dead, and has a possibility of coming back (thx to those long threads on twt and reddit, and those 2 fatui guards saying his position will remain the same, and the boss wheel etc-) I feel kind of disappointed about how his character was handled. I feel like his role in the quests was very minimal. He's the strongest Fatui but he's gone just like that...? 😭 I feel like he could have been so much more and the writing just disappointed me. About the capybaras

It seems like the whole Island seems to ignore the fact q!Foolish said multiple times that it was the capybaras that CHOOSE him.

They always try to say he "begged" to be their King when in fact the only thing he did was show them kindness and understanding and also asked for their acceptance.

He didn't force them, in fact, when he could just have said he was king of all the capybaras when the first ones said yes he always corrected people and said that he was only said capybaras' king for now.

When Elisangela accepted him as her King, he asked her if she thought the others would accept him, because he cares about them and what they think.

When he got to meet a huge group of them the day he discovered the Capybaras Kingdom, he asked them if they were with the federation and asked their views on it.

He doesn't see the capybaras as just 'weird noisy animals that do silly things'.

He sees them as their own individuals,

He sees them as friends dare I say.

Even in the early days he asked about their hobbies, their 'planet' and worries about them.

When Mr. Mustard was missing, he never lost hope and turned every block, even doing something for the federation in hope of having more informations,

When Elisangela asked him for help for her date with Senhora Neide, he planned a whole picnic spot with his friends and helped boost her confidence by talking about her many trophies because he KNOWS she told him she was a warrior and cares about it.

Even for Pozolito, that seems a lot more hostile and endangered Leo's life at multiple times, he may be more on the fence, but he still includes him, still jokes with him and still cares.

When the never met before xXCapybaraGamingEPIC1337Xx showed up, he instantly took him under his wings and helped him.

When Islanders try to blame something he did with the capybaras, he always say "blame this on me not the capys" because he's the one telling them to do it.

It's the same for every other capybara, even if he knew nothing about them, the simple fact that they exist and hangout with him makes him care for them. When choosing their name he thought really hard about it, asking what they liked and asked their opinion.

The capybaras knows he cares.

They probably also know that their power is immense and being associated with humans could be bad, but they trust him about it.

q!Foolish has in his hands one of the most powerful sides of the Island, he could do so much wrong, but instead he uses his power to include other Islanders when he sees them alone.

The only time he used in a way to harm someone is when they talk bad about the capybaras or his relation to them. Even then he only does a little warning and lets them go.

shapeshifter Q!Tubbo is known for changing slowly to look like those around him, for example tubbo had little useless wings from hanging out with phil, he has sharp dragon teeth from hanging out with the eggs, he got some sort of glowy thing from his chest from somewhere he cant remember, and he has devil horns from hanging out with bad and tina!!:3

Vamp q!bad cant bring himself to bite Bunny Q!tubbo because of his smile, and charm ofcourse- but bad keeps tubbo around as bad is worried something might happen to tubbo

sunny was once found with bad slunched up against a wall, sleeping, sunny in bads arms his cloak looking like a blanket, while bad hums in his sleep, his tail wagging

tubbo eventually starts to get to know dapper and they begin to create stuff together!!!11!

Ram Q!tubbo baah's when scared so there was a day in purg where Q! bad made a place where nobody could get in, and comfort tubbo till he stopped baah'ing

God Q!bad wasnt aware robot Q!tubbo was a robot so he was confused when tubbo didnt age but was so happy

Q! bad once picked up Q! tubbo and carried him around on his shoulder for hours until tubbo got tired

Q! tubbo tells xXcapybaragamingEPIC1337Xx about purgatory events where Q! bad saved his life and Capy thinks it was a in canon video game and listened to every second of it
