Kit stepped into the Wolf's Den expecting to find Eli hard at work in front of his bank of screens, coordinating with his people and strategizing with his maps. Instead, she was greeted by the black mask and clawed hands of a frisky little bandit trying to pry open a can of food.

"Uh, Eli? You here?"

Had Jacob found the Wolf's Den already?

Down the hall, Eli hopped out of his room, stumbling to get his pants back on and Kit met him with the raise of a brow.

"Hard at work, I see?"

"Heh, yeah. Sorry Dep."

From his room a woman with tanned skin and brown hair wearing a distinctive red baseball cap and a whaletail thong sticking out from over the waistband of her sweatpants swaggered out.

"Didn't mean to interrupt your company." Kit eyed the woman. She didn't think she'd be Eli's type, but apparently, Eli had a few mysteries up his sleeve still.

"Dep, meet Cappie. She's my better half."

Cappie? That's a new one. Must be a nickname.

Pale eyes took a second look at the woman. She didn't look like the survivalist type at all. And then scanned back over to the raccoon. "I assume this little guy belongs to you then? Interesting choice of pet."

He liked Eli and was happy to help but he frankly would've appreciated any sort of warning about what Cappie was like. He still would've gone to make sure she was okay like Eli asked. But he definitely would've been more careful.

Wheaty just laughed.

"It's your own fault for sneaking up on her."

Rorke rolled his eyes, hissing through his teeth as Wheaty worked.
