what’s your favorite trope?

Reading a trope hatred thread on the anonymeme has made me want to write some of the tropes those grump-mavens hate so much. What’s your favorite fic trope?

Wingfic, got ya covered. Have done soulmarks. Have done A/B/O, though not in the extended Capaldiverse. I have a “seeing in color when you meet your soulmate” story in progress. Have done a little bit of bed-sharing, a little bit of huddling-for-warmth. Pining? Slow-burn? Daemon AU?

i am a musician! i play bass, guitar and sing in descending order of proficiency hehe. i can also do harmonica, thank you folk music phase, and i'll attempt piano. i write songs too! all audio recordings are under #musicking , hopefully they are cool :)

i also draw and paint! at the moment A Lot of it is of doctor who characters, so check out my other blog for that (linked further down), but all of other stuff is tagged under #my art ! i have actually improved quite a bit recently i think which is nice

i need to be peter capaldi so badly i cant even explain this without sounding deranged but also i am vaugley sure that its like. going to happen. i need to be in a post punk band and make a record that will dissapear into obscurity and make a weird little student film and write a bunch of slightly odd stuff and i need to dress more like he did in the 80s too and cut my hair shorter and write a dissertation on vampires and do this all while still being obsessed with doctor who and idk it just feels like I Will i'll go to uni next year and meet some weirdos and form a band and miss a few classes cos we're having a rehearsal and play gigs really loudly and die my hair a silly colour or cut it all off and end up acting in something poorly made but full of passion this will happen to me. and i still wont look like him but i'll still be being me i'll just be able to say 'this rocks actually' because in my mind i can go 'wow just like peter capaldi' and yeah maybe my Specialest Guy might change by next year but everything feels so close & yet still dreamscape and a summer full of yearning and weird little gigs away
