The city lights and shadows - Canon photowalk in Helsinki

Canon Finland organized  a photowalk under the theme “City lights and shadows” on Monday, December 7. It took place in Helsinki. Altogether 25 photographers participated and were tutored by Tiina Puputti an award-winning, and well-known photographer. This was the third Canon photowalk. The first ever in Finland was organized in the last week of February, this year.

We started from Postitalo (“Post House”, the old main post-office in Helsinki). The walk went along Mannerheim Street (Mannerheimintie) to Erottaja and via Esplanade and Alexander Street (Aleksanterinkatu) to Tuomaanmarkkinat (Helsinki Christmas Market) at the Senate Square. The next day we had Twitter Chat to analyse what we created.

Canon Photo Walk in Helsinki

The first ever Canon Photo Walk was organized by Canon Finland on Wednesday, this week. It took place at Tokoinranta in Helsinki or around Eläintarhanlahti (Eläintarha Bay). Before and after the photo walk there was a photo review and discussion session with coffee and cookies.

Though the weather was cloudy, there was no rain. Tokoinranta is a quite good place in March to have sunset photos. Because the clouds there was only a clue of the sunset.
