Wilbur (mf finished his lore and I went "sure thing sir" *ignores it*)
If you asked Wilbur about his childhood it would seem he is Phil's son and that he went on some adventures with him until his little brother Tommy arrived and Wilbur left home.
In reality Wilbur has never really spoken about where he came from and he starts the story about half way through his teens when Phil adopted him and he came to live in the little world Phil had for himself, often world jumping with him whenever it was possible. This meant Wilbur started world jumping on his own relatively young thanks to all the experience he got with dadza.
Important to note. Young Wilbur got to meet Technoblade who is an old friend of Phil since very early on and always found the guy very cool even if Tech was slightly apprehensive around him at the start but he slowly warmed up to him.
He has a patchwork of abilities learned from all his travels which where very useful when he decided to leave on his own. He decided to study to be an administrator to further his world jumping adventures, and while doing that he settled in a standard homeworld to try his hand out at living on his own. Man set up by the coast to see if he was about that sea life, his patchwork of abilities did make him a decent fisher, but he also made money playing on the venues near the sea. Who may he meet here but a sailor fox hybrid named Sally.
look at me ignoring canon i acknowledge mr soot being a fishfucker but that would ruin the consistency so sorry i will just have to take the fish fucker attribute away from you mr.soot a great crime i know
Cue to Wilbur befrinding and eventually daiting Sally, at the same time as he continued his studies and also went often to visit Phil on his little world. As Wilbur's studies advanced he decided he would really want to have a world of his own like Phil, but one much bigger. Not work for a homeworld as an administrator for their gov but carve his own group in an SMP.
This would take a couple of years, but he finished quicker than anticipated thanks to in field experience acquired from being a very determined and very stubborn guy that annoyed his way into being friends with Connor and Jschlatt who decided having an admin in training as a friend in smplive would be beneficial.
It went well....kinda...he did learn a lot and that gave him extra credit to finish his studies soon, he also got in ton of troubles in the smp for crimes but like... is fineee.... he had to take some breaks anyways to stay on his home planet with Sally after Fundy's birth and also to fully finalize his studies. Which he did gladly and took the break as opportunity to let things cool down. Unfortunately for him not long after he returned from his break the SMP concluded and no one seemed interested in following up with another one. So for the moment he focused on doing freelance work and his family.
That was probably the least hectic time of Wilbur's life, enjoying life by the sea, with Sally and Fundy and going to visit Phil from time to time, until one day he arrived to pay visit to his dad and there he was, little Tommy.
All the info he got from Phil was “I found him on my travels” and since Wilbur had also been found on Phil’s travels Wilbur just shrugged and went along with him. New little bro figure! :D
Life was going great. Wilbur was freelancing as an administrator (from this era is where the mc but videos with schlatt comes from) he was happy with Sally and Fundy and Dadza and Toms and Techno and is all perfect.
And then tragedy struck. Sally, was lost at sea. Leaving Wilbur and Fundy on their own. It was devastating for both of them, and Wilbur decided to move away from the sea in hopes he could cope better.
It didn’t help so he tried and focus more on his work (the mc challenges videos) and slowly he revived his dream of doing his own smp.
Took some more years until he managed to fully return to his project of creating an smp.
But smp earth was an ambitious project for an smp and Wil was sure it would work. He allowed Phil and Techno in, as well as Tommy and his new friend Tubbo. Surely that would go well.
It did not. Lot of people left and for how big the infrastructure of the smp was, it wasn’t justified keeping it as it was without people frequenting it. There was talk to continue it and Wilbur agreed but he didn’t feel like staying in.
Man was gonna look what to do now. Fundy by now was starting his studies to become an admin himself and he was out of projects. Were to move, what to do now?
Tommy would appear with an answer. He’d decided to go to the DSMP alongside Tubbo and told him about it. Wilbur decided this world could be one he could carve out his project.
And what a project it would turn out to be

A guide to other sentient mobs
Not your neighborhood slime or zombie who suddenly gained conciousness, but those mobs that have been sentient up to some degree since the start
Dragons
Ender dragons where the first sentient mob created by the Watchers as well as the first big thing the Watchers decided should be actively dangerous.
Many Ender Dragons remain in the end even after all the time that has passed because a) the Watchers made a BUNCH and no one could really mess with them until Voidwalkers where made which gave them like a good 4 centuries of being apex predators b) they are huge af and smart so they are very effective hunters c) even now people want them alive and they try to disturb them as little as possible.
End portals always end up right on the middle of a dragons den cause it was easier for the IPA to just go “oh there is a dragon den here so it means there is ground for draklings and also healing crystals… so is one of the safest places to be in the end excluding the big ass dragon there”
Thus why all portals plop you right into a dragons territory. The crystals where something done by the Watchers as means to keep healing dragons so they would have something to fight the voidwalkers, and thus why they are so deadly when exploded.
It is impossible to build a portal elsewhere cause it would be very dangerous so the IPA would rather people deal with dragons than with the deep end.
How dragons are dealt with and why travel across the end isn’t that common is explored in this post about dragon-slaying (speed running)
Vexes and Allays
Nobody knows who created them, they attribute their creation to themselves. People have tried to prove The Void created them but there haven't been any sucessful attempts. Standing theory dictates that just the inherit chaos of the universe skyrockets near a world and thus it condences into Vexes. Now what you might see as a Vex or an Allay are the little grey blueish creatures, but those are simply minor vexes (basically the drones of a Vex colony)
An "actual" vex is a much larger and humanoid creature. Some theorize this "grand" vexes are just humans or lumens who made a deal with this chaotic energy and then got repurposed as vassals for this energy.
Regardless, the important thing is that either you make a deal with this "grand" vexes or directly with this extrange force in exchange of something (pillagers did this, more of that in their section).
One of the powers is summoning the vex drones (aka. the tiny vanilla vexes), other powers include: become intangible at will, wings, the ability to levitate objects, and a grade of telekinesis. Unfortunately the trade off is forever be in debt to the vex that gave you those powers and you can be summoned by them at any moment and if you permadie your body is forever the vexes.
Now there is talk about this vex hybrids that look human and suddenly can turn into a "grand" vex... it is unclear if they are really hybrids or just grand vex (A certain Mr.Goodtimes is belived to be a hybrid but man could straight up just be from a family of grand vexes)
Now lets talk allays.... Allays are the same as a vex, at least a grand allay is, the allay drones (the cute tiny mob) is where most of the differences are seen between vexes and allays.
At some point a bunch of grand vexes just went "u know what? I denounce this way of living" and decided to become benevolent, which in turn makes their minions/drones benevolent as well (again, the actual allay mob).
The vexes of course did not like it but dealing with them was too much of a problem so they just went "they are discount vexes bah!" and thats that. The vexes and allays reaaaally don't get along well, both a grand vex and grand allay, as well as their drones.
Villagers/Pillagers
Created by the watchers whilst their reign was comming to a close due to the forces of Voidwalkers, lumen and humans winning over them
The Watchers thought that if they gave their other creations a sentient species to rule over they would calm down, thus the villagers where created.
It did not work, instead the voidwalkers/lumen/humans took them under their wing and continued to fight the Watchers, now with the benefit of having ally that could provide them with resources in large quantities.
Watchers are defeated and the voidwalkers/lumen/humans get settled down and start working on hybrids and what would become the IPA, the villagers determined space adventures weren't for them and instead they would rather be left on planets. their request was meet
So over the following centuries a dynamic of a voidwalker/lumen/human/hybrid comming along and protecting the villagers from mobs in exchange of trading was stablished.
And then some villagers decided "you know what? no" enlisting the help of a force not void releated, aka the vexes to help them. These would be the pillagers.
It worked! Pillagers can defend themselves and create sustainable communities without the input from a voidwalker/lumen/human/hybrid and if you ever wondered why the invokers summoned vexes and why the pillagers are more blueish. Now you know why ;D
Funnily enough is worth saying witches are just villagers that learned the art of making potions but since regular villagers where all "no interest in that thank you" they are mostly seen with pillagers who appreaciate their healing potions.
Pillagers often try and messes with villages because is easier and safer than going after a voidwalker/lumen/human/hybrid, but attempts have been made, they are rarely sucesful
Piglins
The fogs first attempt at a sentient mob. As stated before, everything in the nether is a corruption of something created by something else, in this case... Pigs!
The fog got its hand on a bunch of pigs that would accidentally cross nether portals and it try it hardest to create something like the void... results where mixed... first attempts where the ancestors of the hoglings so not much sucess there. But with time and after getting a sample of what conicusness actually feels like (aka. the demons) the fog managed to create a sentient society of Piglins almost entirely from scratch! hooray!!
The piglins worship the fog and value strenght and community, as well as gold since is really the only metal they can access in the nether and thus one of their most valuable resources.
Piglin brutes are just the strongest piglins trying to protect their bastions from intruders (like you! going into a bastion is basically breaking into a huge comunal house how dare you /j)
Oral tradition has let piglins all through the nether now that voidwalkers/lumen/humans/hybrids tend to loot their bastions and thus their predisposition of attacking you, but is well known that if you show some respect (Wear golden armour) and trade with them they'll leave you alone.
Fun fact. No bastion has the same language, each tribe of piglins has its own dialect and if you travel far enough the piglins will straight up just speak a different language than other tribes (not that you would know it since chances are you don't even speak one piglin dialect)
Such has been confirmed by hybrids fluent in common speak and also in one piglin dialect. Aka. Technoblade. "what do you mean tell them not to attack us??? bruh they speak a different language from me! I have no idea what they are saying"
(worth clarifying, techno isn't a piglin, he is a pig hybrid, man was just raised by piglins, is a long story)

Hermit’s backstories for cannon reloaded au because who dosen’t like angsty people meeting eachother and creating a community together?
(As always all info on canon reloaded au is tagged under that name in this blog. Feel free to ask more info or for more backstories if you are interested. I would be more than glad to share :3)
I’ll start with X since his backstory is the longest and it has the most info about HC
Xisuma (the extra long backstory because he is an old man and HC history is interwined with his personal history)
He was one of the few voidwalkers left from the initial conflict with the watchers. He was heavily injuried and so he peaced out for about a century or two in the void to gather strenght again.
Afterwards he went looking for any remains of his civilization. His trip took him to the nether just to find a lot of his people also died in there. This upsets him and leaves him open to the influence of The Fog (Primordial god/entity of the nether driven by violence and expanded in other posts).
He almost gets possessed by this entity but as a last second attempt to prevent that he used almost all his power to seperate himself into two. His copy gets totally possesed thus resulting in Evil Xisuma. (This copy insist he is the original and he is Xisuma just influenced but he has all the exact same memories X had up to that point)
The divided left both copies terribly weak and rendered their shapeshifting abilities not useless but defitnely not completely usable either. As the divide left them weak they made a truce to help eachother out. But eventually EX comes to resent Xisuma for creating him just to have him possessed. He tries killing X and forces him to flee to the overworld.
There he needs his armor to survive as stated before the divide left him weaker so he can’t adapt properly to the air or colors or sounds of the overworld. Needing his armor to mute and make everything in the new dimension (overworld) tolerable.
From here on out he meets other voidwalkers and helped regular humans stablish their civilization. This puts him in a position of power he uses to help the entire IPA get built and really he can do whatever he wants cause
A. He is a voidwalker
B. He is one of the oldest out there so yeah respect your elders kids
Once he feels he has done enough he looks at little groups setting colonies on planets and joins one little group called Hermitcraft, hiding his nature as a voidwalker to be in the same foiting as everyone else.
GenerikB and Joe eventually learn about who he is and GenerikB passes his admin title to Xisuma since he concidered X was DEFITNELY better suited for the job and could do much more for Hermitcraft than what he could do.
Xisuma isn’t fond of this decision as he just wanted peace and quiet and he isn’t that good directly socializing with people but with Joe’s help he learns slowly.
And that brings up to current Hermitcraft with X being the main admin of Hermitcraft and having taken people like him looking for peace into his world and making sure they all stay safe.
All the Hermits came to HC and together built one of the most successful colonies out there. Due to their contributions and Xisuma’s status they can practically do whatever they like in exchange of helping the IPA.
And is useful. As Hermits they like to be alone so they find no problem into going to remote planets at the edge of the sphere of influence of the IPA to be alone and help the organism expand.
Xisuma and his powers are a huge contributor of them being able to stay safe in such remotes parts of the universe.

Bdubs (it gets hectic)
Bdubds comes from a world integrated to the IPA. He was best friends with Etho and both of them went and trained to go world jumping. While Etho trained in everything a bit, Bdubs focused on building and terraforming and while training he meet and befriended Beef.
The trio after training went to Mindcrack thanks to Etho (they aren’t sure how Etho got invited or what he said to get them invited but who cares?) and it was a very fun grand time there.
Mindcrak and Hermitcraft where pretty close back on the day and Bdubs went on to stay for a bit in HC to see how it was. It was very fun but he would rather stay in Mindcrack. And that’s what he did. Until the Mindcrack-Hermitcraft fusion happened after Mindcrack started to disolve due to mysterious circumstances that would follow him.
In Hermitcraft’s fifth world (season) it plays like canon. He joins the NHO and they are based in the jungle, the only difference is that whatever followed them from Mindcrack made its home on the jungle and slowly started to afect them.
Bdubs was the most heavily affected by it. The vines were just a physicial symptom of the overall problem but the most damage was mental.
With the help of Doc and other Hermits they managed to rescue them and put a stop to whatever was in the jungle.
Unfortunately it was too much fo Bdubs and the paranoia won so he left HC and went back to his original world.
The change was good for him and by the midst of the time spent i world (season) 6 he decided to return. He told Xisuma and the admin welcomed him back, only problem was that the teleporting fuction of respawn malfunction terribly and that’s why Bdubds would respawn and fall continiously.
He eventually falls to Keralis' pool and Bdubs is offcially back.
The malfunction in respawn might be tied to the temporal anomaly that got Keralis lost and both those events might have been a side effect of Grian’s watcher powers. Emphasis in might, it is just a working theory the Hermits have

Ren (cause he made one joke and had me panicking to change everything and here is that mess)
Ren came from a regular world inhabited mostly by dog and wolf hybrids (this is natural in canon reloaded au and expanded upon in other posts) that was integrated to the IPA.
So Ren simply trained to become a builder and an admin to go enjoy the world jumping lifestyle. Unfortunately a series of events saw him getting accused of a crime he didn’t commit and so he wasn’t allowed to leave the planet.
Ren escaped and changed his identity to try and dissapear but he always got found again and chased. Eventually he would runaway to the equivalent of Alaska on our world and he would stay there for years. Even if lonely and terribly cold that allowed him to better his survival skills
Eventually he made his way back into civilization and managed to leave the planet since the investigations of the supossed crime he commited resulted ‘non conclusive’.
After leaving his planet he would go on to many other adventure until he reached Kigdomcraft. There he befriended Iskall and Stress and from there the usual happens.
Kingdomcraft-Hermitcraft merge happens and Ren is accepted into Hermitcraft
It is unclear why Ren tends to attract the supernatural, the theory says the magic of the game of demise fundamentally changed his nature but other Hermits argue Ren has just always been more suceptible to magic.
What Hermits do know is that if Ren dies under a set of particular characteristics he often returns as a much more aggressive and dog like version of himself (Grimdog and the red king as examples) and also it has left him more open to be influenced by outside forces, like the Renperor.
The whole Stargazer saga did happen. Ren didn't tell the Hermits about it aside from Doc. He returned to the world seven to ensure the Renporer wasn't going to take the world over and he mabaged to stop him alongside Renbob. Unfortunately as the world was "offline" the respawn system was simply not in use which explains why Doc would have had to arrive and patch Ren up with cybernetics. He would recover throught world (Season) 8 and by world (season) 9 he was well enough the color had returned to his skin. He of course still has his prosthetic arm and leg as well as some internal cybernetics, but he is doing alright now

Tango (I didn’t leave team zit last by accident! They all three drag each-other and we should start by Mr. tek)
With how normal mob hybrids are, it is common to have entire worlds inhabited by them and see them everywhere. What you might have not expected is that there are some settlements in the nether made up by nether mob hybrids.
Am I talking nether cities? Absolutely. Because that sounds rad.
Tango is a ghast hybrid born and raised in one of this cities. As this settlements tend to also be checkpoints for the IPA to travel faster and safely through the nether and keep an eye on The Fog (nether’s primordial deity driven by violence, more on it in another post) Tango was always aware of redstone and building and world jumping and he wanted in!
He went on to train to be a redstoner and he did good. Really really really good. Man revolutionized iron farms and Scicraft inmediatly went “wanna work with us?” But Tango went “nope” and kept doing his own thing. Completing admin training and getting a world of his own.
He was chilling enjoying life when he got a message from a guy called Xisuma asking for help with an iron farm. Tango rolled his eyes because whatever but then he realized that X was the admin of that really cool place with the redstoners and builders and that the farm was specifically Mumbo’s farm (kid was known as a prodigy in the redstone cummunity) so Tango decided to go.
He goes to HC and finds it is indeed a very cool place.
He has a great time during his visit and then he goes back to do his own thing.
Thats how he meets Zedaph (can’t remmber how the server they shared is called but yeah that was a world they both inhabited for a while) and around this time is that Tango meets Impulse as well in the nether and invites him to this world.
Story takes it’s course and Tango decides to go to Hermitcraft’s third world and that’s how he ends up as a Hermit. He later helps summon Impulse and puts good word for Zed to join

False (because I remembered her backstory and is super duper cool)
False was born on a world with no respawn and it was a terribly cruel world. Hence why she grew up to be so good in pvp as it really was a question of survival.
Eventually in her late teens the world finally got integrated to the IPA but as corruption and power goes, only the people in power could access respawn technology and get the opportunity to go world jumping.
After one particular nasty situation with some people in charge upsetting basically everyone, False had enough. So she joined a rebellion that tried to take the goverment down. Unfortunately it wasn’t successful and False got arrested and put to death penalty.
She barely escaped her sentence breaking free from cuffs with curse of biding and that scarred her hands so terribly she would later on go to use her leather gloves to protect her hands and hide the scars.
After her escape she managed to make her way into a hub and escape the world. Of course seeing the battered state she was in she got assistance and she revealed what was going on in her world. The IPA went to put a stop to it but that painted a blank on False’s back.
She was offered the opportunity to go world jumping and study and she took the opportunity, training to be a builder and continuing to hone in her pvp abilities.
Eventually Xisuma found her and due to her history and the fact some people out there might still interesting on hunting her, X offered False the opportunity to join Hermitcraft.
And thus False joins Hermitcraft and slowly but surely integrates with the other Hermits, healing from the past.

Beef (man just wanted fun okay? Why do tragedies follow him?)
Beef came from a world that was just starting to get integrated to the IPA and thus he didn’t consider world jumping something that would be for him. So he simply decided to continue the family business of being a butcher.
Sometime later, dissatisfied with his profession he saw some work made by Keralis and he tried learning more about it only to discover they where made by builders who earned their titles to go world jumping.
Beef decides it might be for him and he goes and trains in all areas but specifically in building. While training he meets and befriends Bdubs who is friends with Etho and Etho drags them both to Mindcrack.
Beef thrives there alongside his friends but he picks up on something sinister trying to target them. Etho and Doc are the first ones to leave to Hermitcraft but Beef decided to stay just a tad bit longer with Bdubs until the presence following him becomes too much and he leaves to join Hermitcraft’s fourth (season) world.
Is all good for a while until they move to world (Season) five and Bdubs joins them unaware that he brought with him whatever was targeting the Mindcrack group.
Just as in canon Beef joins the NHO and sets a base in the jungle only to then be taken but the mysterious entity and later rescued by the other Hermits. He was the least affected of the bunch but considering the thing had followed him from another world he decided to leave, not daring to come back fearing that entity would hurt him again.
Etho assures him that something happened in world (Season) six relating to the newest member and that if the new gremlin builder wasn’t problems it would probably be safe to return.
Beef decides to trust Etho and both of them return to world (season) seven.

I've been meaning to ask this, sorry if you've already answered this sort of question, but in canon reloaded what would like. CTM maps be considered? Especially since the difficulties and like...intention? I guess? Varies a lot between creators and even maps from certain creators will vary (a creator can put out an impossible map and then also a fairly standard medium difficulty map, for example). Sorry if this is a bit of an odd question, I've just been curious for a while about it
Hallo anon! Don’t worry I haven’t answered this yet and I should cause this is an interesting thing to explore!
This will cover mainly CTM maps cause something like horror maps would need a different explanation X3
Just as a recap because I know navigating the tree link gets tiring. In canon reloaded au anyone that has trained as an administrator can be assigned a world. What world they get assign depends for what purpose they will be using it and what rank and other professions they may have.
For example someone like Mumbo K Jumbo, redstone extraordinaire from Hermitcraft can ask to have a third gigantic world added to the other two worlds he often uses to test redstone contraptions, meanwhile a regular folk may ask for a world and get a very tiny one assigned, and no more.
Map creators are no different. In canon reloaded au they would simply be administrators that specialize in terraforming worlds and they might have other specializations like redstoner, builder, etc. but their main line of work is as administrators.
And there are administrators that terraform worlds for experiments and to gather data (like Fundy does, aka. His coded difficulties and mods to mc videos) but whilst this type of admins don’t get to keep their worlds, someone that customizes a world for a particular reason may if that reason is good enough.
Most customized worlds (maps) then are made to both entertain and provide adventurers with a more organic setting so people may train in them
We could look at Captain Sparklez. He is a very VERY well known adventurer and by now he keeps going to customized worlds just by the sake of it because is fun, but he is as good as an adventurer as he is today thanks to all those maps, same can be said about Dantdm.
The IPA would probably rank them depending on how challenging they may be for someone as to not throw a first time adventurer into something hella difficult, and you bet that if an admin has made a successful world before chances of them being endorsed to do more are high

Since teams go down so i cant have class and i dont want to start answer my test neither reading (yeah, future svetla will hate me), i came to reread the hermits backstories in canon reloaded au and just realised that it wasn't one for the most important hermit...
Wheres our almighty godness Jellie backstory?!
So i wonder if you had one for her.
I would recommend to drink water cause is healty, but i hate water and here's really chilli today so instead i recommend whatever hot beverage of you preference :D
Goodness gracious how did I forget about Jellie??? Im surprised she hasn’t smitten me yet!
Scar has always been a Vex that loves his cats. Since he was a young boy he has always had a feline companion. Unfortunately he had to leave his dear cat companion once his plan to escape his world was set to go on motion.
But not to worry! As soon as they started jumping worlds there was one in particular where people where asking for help to stop a new type of threat. Iskall as a trained hitman and Cub and Scar with their fancy vex powers went “we can def deal with this!” And they went to deal with it… and they found… a cat. No kidding they found a white and grey stripped cat.
They weren’t sure why this kitty cat was a threat but Scar treated her well and gave her chin scratches and Jellie was very happy with that so she stuck with them. They were unsure why exactly Jellie was dangerous but the moment they returned to ask for payment for dealing with it they got kicked out the world for being “infected”
Of course that had been very rude and they didn’t know what ‘infected’ meant so they looked at what the hell was Jellie. Turns out she is a parasitic hive mind that usually zaps the energy out of people and she has been spotted in multiple worlds.
Scar goes “wait a minute, then how am I here and how is this cute furball just eating treats with me?”
The IPA went “We don’t know but the instances of this thing appearing on worlds has decreased significantly over the past few months… so maybe just keep doing whatever you are doing”
Scar, Cub and Iskall just went “okay then” and they kept going on adventures til they reached and joined Kingdomcraft. Where Wels speculated Jellie had simply latched onto Scar because as mostly a Vex the sort of energy she needed was technically limitless near Scar. Stress proposed she stayed because she cared for Scar.
Either way Jellie is a permanent fixture of Scar now! No matter the world he goes he always finds a Jellie and since the Jellies are a collective hivemind is just like having the same cat everywhere.
And thus concludes the tale of Jellie the ‘cat’

Grian (edgy mcedgy has a long ass backstory because of course he does)
Oh void is Grian time. Edge and angst bellow
Okay soooo in other posts I have expanded on the deal with the watchers and voidwalkers but I’ll recount it briefly here
Watchers are embodiments of the void and they created most of what makes up the universe today, the voidwalkers, a void adapted humanoid sentient species, was their first attempt at a completly sentient being. Turns out experimenting on a sentient civilization with powers similar to yours was not a good idea even if you created them.
After two different conflicts the Watchers decided that dealing with Voidwalkers was not worth it so they peaced out to the outer regions of the universe out of the sphere of influence of the Voidwalkers/humans/hyrbids and the IPA.
One of their experimental worlds was one where they put a ton of humans and allowed them to build their civilization just to later introduce various hybrids (hybrids are talked about in other post if you are curious).
The inhabitants of this world don’t know about there being other worlds with a functioning interplanetary society nor are they aware they can use magic, that respawn technology is a thing and they don’t know about the watchers that created their world .
In this world is where Grian was born and where he spent the first years of his life. We know YHS by now but for whoever dosen’t know here is the short of it.
Grian got hella neglected, basically getting abandoned by age 6 to fend by himself as his parents only provided him money and nothing more. He was held back a year in high school and he went on an exchange course where he meet Taurtis and Sam. Sam (a rabbit hybrid) went off the deep end and basically left Grian severly traumatized (also Grian survived a shot out during this period and he still has the scars on his torso). Things escalated to the point where Grian, Taurtis and Sam basically brough the end of their world. Facilitated by the watchers, why exactly? Who knows. They are gods and pricks and they do whatever they want.
From here on out the watchers picked the three boys since they turned out to be really interesting and gave them immortality. Stuck at age 18 with his friend and Sam over the empty abyss of the universe didn’t do any good to Grian. He eventually pushed Sam off the house as he couldn’t deal with him anymore.
Instead of being punished he and Taurtis where placed in a new world. The world of EVO.
Watchers would use this world to test all the little humans and hybrids they had been collecting to see which ones could be turned into Watchers.
(Watchers where low on numbers in comparison to voidwalkers so they had picked up the habit of taking humans and transforming them into their own kind)
Evo goes as it went in canon, of course the debizens of EVO have an openly more hostile relationship with watchers. The selection process starts with Grian being picked to join and would have continued if it weren't for the listeners intervining (listeners are a rebel faction of watchers, they are explored in other posts)
Grian is separated from his friends (taurtis, pearl, jimmy, martyn, netty, bigb, the gang basically) and is transformed into a watcher, or rather he was on the process of being transformed until he escaped.
He spent a lot of time alone in deserted worlds out of fear of being found again and while he figured if his friends were still alive and someway to get to them, he created NPG and RoboGrian in different instances out of sheer desperation to have company but both creations resulted faulty and Grian had to scrape them.
On his lonliest moment he found a world struggling to grow and he helped it out using his magic secretly. This world would grow into Wynncraft. Of course he gained some fame as a builder thanks to helping it.
Eventually Grian managed to get his friends back! He hanged with them and slowly but surely managed to build a story to join in the IPA without raising suspicions, all while this was going on he and Taurtis shared a world while both of them recovered form the past events. (the build swap videos??? thos ego here) During this time Grian also managed to bring one of his friends back from his vanished world (is DomRao everyone :D)
Grian spent a good while just working as a builder and doing his own thing, even returning to Wynncraft and helping it further. People made the connection this was the same guy as before but only the admins there where half aware something was 'odd' about Grian, but they never asked since he had been very helpful.
This job in Wynncraft and his other contributions he did as a builder, as well as his rather mysterious past if you knew where to look at, would land him an offer to join Hermitcraft but he didn’t accept it until much later when travelling around the universe with his powers he would stumble into Mumbo’s redstone testing worlds and gain and interest for the creator of the machines.
He would actively befriend him since he looked lonley and eventually they became friends. Their friendship was one of the main factors that pushed Grian to finally join Hermitcraft.
While on HC he told Xisuma about his past and powers since hidding that from him, a voidwalker that was giving him a safe place where he couldn’t be found seemed unfair. X thanked him for his honesty and just asked him to not abuse those powers.
Grian only uses his watcher powers for pranks and games and sometimes to help out hermits but for the most part most of his magic is directed to keeping the world cloaked so watchers can’t find it (concidering the Hermits always settle in the outer regions of the area controlled by the IPA this is a HUUUGE factor as to why they can remain safe)
I did a post separetly delving more on Grian’s powers if someone is curious

Scar (Because I cherish and appreciate Mr. Goodtimes and he deserves to have a super duper cool backstory. By now it should be evident all of this is super duper indulgent)
Scar Goodtimes comes from a world that had been in the process of integrating to the Interplanetary Alliance (a super big organism that kinda acts like a goverment but is not really a goverment. Mor about it can be found in other posts.)
As it was just starting to get integrated, the opportunity to leave the planet to go world jumping wasn’t widely aviable yet but since Scar was the heir of a super duper big conglomerate and hella rich he could easily choose to leave the planet.
The thing is. He comes from a family that had started as vex hybrids but at this point they where more vex than human (I would put Scar being like 78% vex because I want him to have powers. Sue me) and those powers where the reason his family was that powerful.
As the next head of the family Scar was sent to study to be an administrator so he could get assigned a world of his own and thus he could greatly enhance the sphere of influence of his company (am I implying sweet Scar comes from an evil capitalist family of vexes? Absolutely) but Scar was simply not cut to do that and he discovered he would rather train to be a builder and terraformer and he did. And he was very good at it.
He knew his family would be displeased but not to worry, Cub was with him (they are childhood friends your honor) and he had been sent to train for the same reason Scar had. Cub opted to train to earn the title of redstoner instead and he was good enough to get recommended to Scicraft and he wasn’t about to let that go just because his family and Scar’s wanted them to be bussiness budies and direct companies.
So Cub gave Scar the option to simply leave their world and never come back. Scar agreed and to ensure they both could deal with whatever was out there Cub made a deal with Scar for Vex powers (in any other case Cub would have been compelled to do whatever the vex wanted but since that Vex was his best friend he practically got free powers)
And just in case, they got Iskall aboard the plan (more on that later) and they left their world.
The trio jumped between worlds until they stablished themselves in Kingdomcraft. Afterwards it plays like canon. Kigngdomcraft gets merged with Hermitcraft and BOOM they are Hermits.
If Scar sometimes seem to have some chaotic impulses is just his Vex magic and he tends to default to evil capitalist because I’m tired of people babying him he left that life but some of it sticks with him (examples. Convex season 5 and 6, Scar X season 7, him dressing all fancy as mayor and owner of Aqua town and well... the defitnely not evil laser of HEP)

Impulse (Demon man!!!!!)
Demons come with all their set of lore you can read up here!!
Impulse was born and raised in the nether relatively peacefully even if mobs did bother him. And as soon as he could he went to explore the nether, stumbling into a nether city (more on those on Tango’s post) and he was marveled by the humans and mob hybrids there.
He observed from afar and managed to learn their language like that. He even stole redstone and books and taught himself how to do redstone. He was very good at it. Also helped he pulled a demon friend to learn alongside him (that friend is Skizz).
Eventually both him and Skizz wanted to explore further out the nether so they got closer and closer to the city and in one of those opportunities they meet Tango who befriended them both and after realizing they knew redstone helped them perfect their knowledge.
Eventually both learned about the world jumping life and decided to pursue it, Impulse following Tango to a world where he meet Zedaph as well.
The trio became bffs and after Tango told them about his adventures on Hermitcraft and that he was going Impulse asked to go as well.
Tango vouched for him and Impulse gets to join world (Season) three of Hermitcraft, Zedaph meanwhile decides to study a bit more on his own before joining in world (season) five.
Impulse as a demon has a human form and a true form.
Every demon in their true form is fully shaded colored (white, any tone of gray or black) and they hace accents that come in hues (red, yellow, blue, pink, indigo, etc). Impy's shade is fully lack and his accent color is yellow
That accent color is visible in his eyes and the tips of his black horns he has even in human form.

TFC (he gets lore because grandpa deserves it!)
TFC is a Lumen. Aka. A human with magic (something naturally occuring in Canon reloaded au, this people are identifiable by their blank eyes) and he is a very old one at that. We are talking the man is probably centuries old at this point.
He was an adventurer on his youth that would help Voidwalkers with setting foot in new worlds to stablish colonies, but it meant he was usually send with a small team to set camp and slowly create a city.
He lost many friends and teammates like that, but he kept on going, until at last, he lost his leg and decided that his days as an adventurer where over.
He manage to convince a Voidwalker to leave him on a very distant world at the edges of the universe where he settled down with a posthetic and chilled out.
And he chilled out for probably centuries until a group of adventurers arrived at his world. Unkowngly his world had been choosen by Xisuma for Hermitcraft’s second (season) colony
TFC kept his distance and didn’t mind the new people in his world as long as they didn’t disturbed him. But because Hermits are Hermits they started to branch out the little camps they started and they started building gigantic structures and using newer technology than the one TFC knew.
He was fascinated by all of it. He had many adventurers before, obviously. But he had never seen them form a community this tight that would make such amazing things.
He eventually found a young man that had magic just like himself that seemed to be friends with a Zombie?
He figured it would be the same no matter who he approached but having someone with magic just like himself could possibly work better.
When he approached Joe and Cleo, they both recognized him as the old man that kept to himself. TFC was surprised by that but the duo revealed the other Hermits had seen him and left him to his own as not to bother him.
TFC found the situation silly and with Joe’s help he got in contact with Xisuma who apologized profusely for ‘invading’ his world. TFC just patted this Voidwalker in the back because he hadn’t seen one in very long and simply laughed it off.
Everyone became familiar with him and when they where ready to leave for world (Season) three TFC decided that he would be sticking to this group of adventurers just to keep an eye on them.

Intercommunicators
Imagine you have a fusion between a gps and an iphone. That's it! thats the intercomunnicator!
It allows you to chat and call felow world dwellers! It will send a notif once you leave a world or if you died to that worlds chat so people can now. It is your acess pannel to the chip on your brain so you can make yourself go afk.
It can analyze blocks and tell you where you are (the F3 functions basically). It allows to see your current state, it keeps track of your stats, it has a touch screen but it can also project hollographs of your screen so you can show infor more easily to others.
It can also get itself attached to other devices like admin panels and world editing tools so it keeps track of what you are doing.

Iskall (since I’ve mention him in other backstories but I haven’t said anything about his own backstory)
Iskall comes from a world that was just integrating itself to the IPA (interplanetary alliance, kinda kinda not goverment at universe scale) and as such who could leave and couldn’t leave the world was still very limited.
Not that he worried about that since he had other things to worry about. Do to bad living conditions he ended up becoming a hitman to sustain himself, in one of those jobs he lost his eye.
He kept going until he got captured and barely managed to escape prison to avoid death sentence. He though he would return to his normal life but then some very rich people contacted him for a job. This people where none other than Cub and Scar (they have their own bacstories on their posts) and they offered to hire him as a sort of bodyguard.
Once he heard the job came with the possibility to leave the world he accepted. In between world jumping he went on to study redstone and to be an admin and he was really good at both actually. That positive expirience plus Scar being... well Scar slowly helped him into a more normal and more peaceful life.
By the time the trio settled down in Kingdomcraft Iskall was done with his training and was actually cretaing projects on his own in other planets with other people. Also thanks to Cub and his Scicraft endorsement Iskall got his cybernetic eye.
Soon the Kingdomcraft- Hermitcraft merge happened and he followed happily to HC. In there he would go on to thrive and would try very hard to befriend a young and nervous Mumbo that mostly stayed by himself and rarely interacted with others (that post about all the things Iskall has done irl for his friends is defitnely what inspired this). Thus forming a friendship with Mumbo and going on to expanding his friend group to all the Hermits.
About his arm. (Because he has a robot arm, you can’t change my mind) he had a bad encounter with whatever dissapeared the NHO back on world (season) 5 and that + a malfunctioning respawn left him no option but to replace his right arm with a cybernetic one. Doc helped a lot and also the possibility of throwing it when people told him to ‘give them a hand’ made Iskall go over the situation more easily.
(He still does the joke, especially if Mumbo annoys him)
