Cannibal Ferox (Umberto Lenzi) Horror Cannibal (Ruggero Deodato) Cannibal Holocaust (import Espagne) Controverse Le film provoqua un scandale à sa sortie. En Italie, le réalisateur Ruggero Deodato eut des ennuis avec la censure. Une rumeur circulait, faisant croire que les acteurs avaient vraiment été mangés vivants durant le tournage. Le réalisateur décida de passer avec eux à la télévision pour montrer qu'ils n'avaient pas été tués. Le film contient des images crues (simulacre d'une découpe de carcasse humaine, castration, amputation…) ou encore de pornographie (plusieurs scènes de viols, dont deux viols collectifs). Par contre, des animaux ont effectivement été tués durant le tournage. Interrogé à ce sujet, le réalisateur répondit simplement que « les quotas de chasse avaient été respectés. » Ce dernier point entraîna pourtant sa censure en Italie. Day 10: Eating dinner, before American Horror Story, and not knowing what to watch I honestly don’t know why I went hardcore tonight. I watched Cannibal Holocaust... again! This is sincerely a film that belongs where the sun doesn’t shine. The history of this film, and the importance created a butterfly effect. This film spawned a revolution of found footage copycats, some more successful than the last. The most being The Blair Witch Project. We are lead to VHS and Paranormal Activity that use a similar vantage point to tell a story. A view as if you are either a fly on the wall, or you are a companion in a trip to a dangerous destination, only to suffer the horrors and consequences of the doomed travelers. To be brutally honest, two Italian filmmakers created some of the most repulsive films but did it with such grace, bravery and poise. These men are Umberto Lenzi and Ruggero Deodato. Ruggero did Cannibal Holocaust with stirred up excitement within Eli Roth to almost remake this film. The Green Inferno. The film is purely allegorical with steps in every way, it is an alternate history of colonization. One where the natives win, deterring more travelers and conquerors. The film was of disgust and repugnance. With the killing of animals onscreen. The killing of humans were portrayed so real and graphically, that Deodato was brought to trial for murder; allegations of Snuff. In the end the film isn’t all bad. Edition Rene Chateau Video 1995 Un film de Umberto Lenzi Boitier jaquette et film en bon état général et testé Cannibal Ferox ou Terreur Cannibale est un film gore italien écrit et réalisé par Umberto Lenzi, sorti en 1981. Le film sort au début des années 1980 avec la vague de films de cannibales tels que La secte des cannibales puis Cannibal Holocaust réalisé par un italien Ruggero Deodato qui s'inspire fortement d'Umberto Lenzi, étant le précurseur des films de cannibales avec Cannibalis au pays de l'exorcisme en 1972. Il n'est donc pas étonnant de constater que, dans les années 1980, de nombreux cinéastes italiens se convertissent dans le cinéma d'horreur. Le film est l'un des plus violents à avoir jamais été réalisés et provocateur et contrairement à Cannibal Holocaust, le film a été censuré dans au moins trente-et-un pays et n'est pas à message. Nettement plus scénarisé que les autres films de cannibales, le scénario de Cannibal Ferox offre la possibilité d'évoluer dans deux histoires parallèles l'une en Amazonie et l'autre à New York, le film nous explique de façon logique qu'il n'y a jamais eu de cannibalisme en Amérique du Sud et que la violence n'engendre que la violence, la consommation d'organes humains chez les indigènes étant un rituel de guerre, où l'on mange les organes des ennemis défunts, cela nous renvoie à une réalité anthropologique plus exacte.
