I really wish I was one of those ppl who write super long beautiful detailed ass essays on here, cause I wanna SCREAM about how fucking good Gameboys2 is !

I got tickets to see the online stream of the movie when it came out and it was fucking amazing I stayed up so late to watch it.

The second season has been impossible to find online but it's on fucking Tubi for some reason (shout fucking out to Tubi). I watched it all in one sitting Screamed, Cried and then played the whole fucking thing back again.

I LOVED the movie and somehow the second season still gave me so much more. All the little in between moments that I didn't know I missed but still hit me so fucking hard. There were some lines that fucking ripped me to shreds that I still hear ringing in my ears ( for example when Gav says "am I wrong to choose you?" the fucking noise that came outta me had only been heard by woodland animals nearing death)

A fucking masterpiece in acting as always from these two, I cannot talk about it enough I love this series so much and will always love it. By the end of the second season I was laying flat on my back with tears streaming down my face, I just love them all so much.

The first was really Elijah's show, acting his fucking ass off and killing it and we honestly all fell in love with Gav as Cairo did, watching him grow and open up was beautiful and I watched it during lockdown so it hit even harder. It gave me so much hope and peace Now season 2?! Kokoy De Santos the man you fucking are ! Give him the Oscar!!!!!!!

I was swimming in an ocean of pain and tears I need more ppl to watch this fucking series ASAP

contestant #4, written and directed by celeste lapida and kaj palanca, drifts along slowly and gently through its nineteen-minute runtime, but no minute feels boring or wasted. the protagonist (joel saracho), an older man who lives alone, receives periodic visits from a nineteen-year-old boy (elijah canlas, who fans of filipino queer media may know from the hit series gameboys); their exact relationship is never explained to us, but they have an easy camaraderie where canlas’s character enters the protagonist’s house freely, often bringing food and helping him with chores while teasing him about his solitary and old-fashioned lifestyle. their connection is strengthened when canlas’s character is able to be open with saracho’s character about his sexuality. deepa's full review, including content notes at the end of the post

So, since I'm sick and confined to my bed, I thought I'd take part in @negrowhat's 15 Day BL Challenge!

Day One: Fave OG Pairing

My original and first ever ship was EliKoy aka Elijah Canlas and Kokoy De Santos, who were paired up for Gameboys, the hit Fillipino BL that was released during the Covid lockdown. If it hadn't been for them, I would never have got into the BL community, and whilst they haven't done anything together since season 2, they still mean the world to me. (Also, I'm still hoping for Some Nights I Feel Like Walking; you can watch the short pitch video for it here!) These boys are so precious to me, and they still call each other 'baby' <3

If you want to go older, it would be TayNew; however, I did only discover them around a year ago, but when it comes to the original GMMTV boys from the early BL days, they are my favourite. (I mean, we all know FirstKhaotung are my all time favourites, but since The Eclipse was their first pairing, I'll got with TayNew for now.) They're just so lovely, and genuine best friends. I just adore how much they love one another.
