Skeletons in the closet (15)
Why is it that every reunion of service leads ends like this.
"This" meaning Dolmund enjoying the house enough to empty every bottle of alcohol, Beelzebuth talking about gods know what their patients did today with such glee you wouldn't believe they almost died, and Salem finishing the coffee to a speed I wouldn't even dream. And I am, as a lot of poeple know, addicted to coffee. This is how I can fit so many hours in my schedule.
I think the worst is this reunion is taking place, this time, at my very own father's place.
It's not easy to see the house of your childhood like this. Luckily mother isn't here, nor is grandma. Old bitch doesn't want to die. Dad just kept them out for the monthly reunion.
Why is it at a house ? Because these reunions are a pretext to drink, talk shit and drink again. Doctors don't forget their roots, nor their wild PACES. Of course we talk about our patients, the hospital, the whole thing is to catch up about the policies and keep us updated on each other.
Well, it should be, at least.
God I wanna go home.
I wanna go home, but I notice a very unusual sight in a corner. The guy that never comes to these kind of reunions, Malchys himself, enjoying a glass of water talking to Mort.
Weird. This is the first time I see him in those reunions.
I walk towards him, a bit curious, a bit worried. I don't like how he is talking to her. It's like he is her boss, rather than a colleague.
"Malchys," I say while saluting them. "Pleasure to see you here, but it's particular. Any occasion ?"
The man people call the good doctor smiles at me, well, at least, attempts to.
"Well, I figured I deserved a little treat. Even though this reunion is wholly useless."
"I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'd rather be in my service than here, but fat- Gabriel insisted."
Don't want to hear anything about my father being head of palliative and the only doctor in the administration. Please.
Luckily he doesn't say anything. Good, wouldn't want to add to the list of why I don't like you. He just nods, somewhat sympathetic
"On this we are two. But I suppose I could... Rest, for a while. One of my patients saw a surprisingly tremendous recovery, and his prognosis is getting better by the minute."
"Really ? That's a good thing. Who is it ?"
"I suppose it would do no harm to tell you, since you saw him too if I recall. It's Egill Lulea."
Indeed, I remember Egill. Xeroderma pigmentosis, was diagnosed of melanoma and had metastasis in the lungs and bones, already in stage IV last I've heard of him. Under the care of Malchys ever since. I was bracing myself to see him dead since I went to his sister's wedding and saw he didn't even dance.
I didn't expect him to recover.
"That's... That's fantastic. How did you manage to treat so many metastasis ?"
"Chemotherapy coupled with a bio-engineered virus. The treatment is still in experimental stage, and I need to be sure it works on more, before finishing the clinical trial, but... it is, indeed, promising."
Right. Malchys is also a researcher. I read his doctorate thesis once, about a potential cure for cancer using aforementioned bio-engineered virus. The problem is, if I remember correctly, the thesis in question was abandoned for lack of funding and too ambitious expectations, if not brillantly defended.
I guess he indeed does wonders if he managed to put his treatment into clinical trials. These kind of things usually take time. Especially when viruses are in the equation.
But Egill is recovering, and if a stage IV cancer patient can expect remission for more than 50% chances...
"Incredible. I am glad to hear that. Also, teach us how to get this kind of research to reach the High Authority of Health quick enough to save lives," I add with a light-hearted tone, "I'm sure a lot of us researchers would want to know how you did that so quickly."
Mort tenses up next to me. Oh, no.
Malchys is still smiling.
"I suppose I was.... Overzealous in testing that treatment. Solving that enigma. Maybe I rushed a few things, but it passed, didn't it ?"
.... Rushed ?
You can't rush medecine.
Only in two scenarios he would use that word.
He managed to bully the research commitee enough so they validated his research without as delays as they could have been.
Or...
Or he took shortcuts.
A lot of beatings in my ER. Some people insisting for paying upfront despite social security, even though we told them they would be compensated regardless. The head of the morgue who hasn't said a word.
I have a lot of suspicions, around Malchys. Being head of ER makes you interact with enough services to know when something is fishy.
And with the police investigating....
Could it be they had good reasons ?
VERY good reasons.
...
Is that treatment build on unethical practices
Or am I just overthinking things ?
By chance, I manage to keep a straight face.
To compensate for my cold, cold veins.
"I suppose it was just in time for Egill, then. His family must be so happy."
"Family... Yes, probably."
His face gets pensive. I wonder what he is thinking about.
I need to know more about this.
If anything unethical is going on in my hospital-
"By any chance, Malchys, are you gonna publish anything about this new treatment of yous soon ?"
His face stays the same. Yet, in his eyes, there is a gleam of something I don't like
But before he has time to answer
Someone takes my shoulders with a laugh.
"Come on, Baku, don't pry too much, son ! You're gonna scare off the good doctor !"
...
Goddamnit.
I sigh.
"..... Hello, father."
"I haven't seen you all evening and when I found you it's to pester doctor Malchys ? He's gonna think our evenings are only to bully him !"
Why are you smiling, you stupid old man, like you and I don't know Malchys is only here to gather intel about our services. And bully my ass, I am just trying to extinguish a bad feeling. Plus, everyone would be curious about a miracle treatment, right, so why not ask questions ?
Except there is something fishy going on, and you're in, and for the love of God I really hope not. Because even though I don't see you as a dad anymore I still respect you as a doctor.
Gabriel Claro is quickly disinteressed of me, and turns towards Malchys with a smile.
"And you ! I don't see you often relaxing, it's like the hospital is your home now ! Come on, enjoy yourself, it's everyone's day off !"
Malchys' face is unmoveable. Unchanging. Unexpressing.
"Sure I will. Thank you for the sollicitude, doctor Claro."
I quickly excuse myself from here after a last nod to Malchys and Mort.
.... I didn't even tell her Kage is in town.
Fuck.
Too much is happening.

The Struggle to Save Lives Inside Gaza’s Hospitals
Tumblr media
Photograph by Ahmad Salem—Bloomberg/Getty Images
— BY Sanya Mansoor | November 6, 2023 | Time
Within minutes of the Oct. 31 Israeli attack on the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, the victims began flooding the Indonesian Hospital a mile away. Dr. Marwan Sultan, the hospital’s medical director, says that most of the injured and dead were women and children. Some had deep burns, serious head injuries, or missing limbs, Sultan told TIME four hours after the attack. There are only 16 intensive-care beds in the hospital, which was running dangerously low on fuel, threatening the lives of his patients. If the electricity goes, says Sultan, “they will die. They will die.”
The conditions for medical care in Gaza are deteriorating across the besieged 140-sq.-mi. coastal strip. Surgeons are operating by flashlight and rationing water, anesthesia, and the generator fuel needed to perform surgeries, provide electricity for incubators, and care for kidney-dialysis patients, doctors and health organizations tell TIME. The roughly two dozen hospitals still operating in Gaza are absorbing the patients of the 12 that have closed because of a lack of supplies and the ongoing bombing, says the World Health Organization (WHO). “Medical teams are on their knees,” says Hisham Mhanna, spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza.
Tumblr media

All war zones are awful, but Gaza presents a unique hell. Much of the enclave of 2 million is now a battlefield, with civilians and combatants intermixed, and homes and businesses sitting side by side with military infrastructure. Nowhere is that reality felt more keenly than at the territory’s hospitals, which have simultaneously become safe havens and potential targets, and where the impact of Israel’s offensive is measured every day in lives—more than 9,000 killed as of Nov. 2, including 135 medical personnel, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
After the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks that killed more than 1,400 people in Israel and started the war, the Israeli military began a massive bombing campaign. On Oct. 13, it ordered civilians to depart the northern part of the strip for the south, and on Oct. 27 it sent in ground troops and armored vehicles. Hamas has fought back above and below ground, from a network of concrete tunnels extending hundreds of miles.
For the estimated 1 million people displaced by fighting, the search for shelter has brought many to makeshift tent cities. More than 50,000 are packed into the Al-Shifa hospital complex in northern Gaza, says Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a surgeon. Mattresses line the floor, kids run around, and a stench hangs in the air. So many people in such a small space, with inadequate access to hygiene and sanitation, will lead to an outbreak of infectious diseases, Abu-Sittah worries. Hospitals are struggling to dispose of dead bodies, which pose their own health hazards. Abu-Sittah has been going to a corner store to buy bottles of vinegar and laundry detergent to clean wounds. “Every day you make more and more compromises,” he says.
Tumblr media

Some two dozen hospitals have been asked to evacuate to the south, according to the WHO, which says doing so would risk patients’ lives. When Israeli government officials called Al-Awda hospital and told its manager, Dr. Ahmed Mhanna, to evacuate staff and patients, “I refused, of course,” he says. “Where can I deal with my patients?”
Doctors worry that their facilities will be hit in the bombardment. On Oct. 30, an Israeli airstrike damaged part of Gaza’s only cancer hospital, the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, says its director, Dr. Sobhi Skeik. “My message is please don’t kill cancer patients,” Skeik says. On Nov. 1, the WHO said that the hospital had shut down.
Days before that, the Israel Defense Forces presented evidence it said showed Hamas had established a command center in and beneath Al-Shifa hospital. A Hamas official denied the allegation. Targeting a hospital would be a war crime, whether or not Hamas is using it to hide in, says Susan Akram, a law professor who directs Boston University’s International Human Rights Clinic. “Israel has an obligation to protect the entire population in Gaza,” she says. For its part, Israel notes that using a hospital to hide military equipment or facilities is itself a war crime.
Even without a direct attack, the hospitals lack key supplies, which are coming in at a painfully slow pace amid the Israeli siege. On Oct. 31, the U.S. said that 66 trucks of humanitarian aid were entering Gaza daily, a fraction of the hundreds per day before the war. Fuel remains a critical issue. The Israeli military reportedly believes Hamas holds more than 500,000 liters that it could provide to hospitals. The U.S. says it is pressuring Israel to break its blockade and allow aid in. President Biden called Nov. 1 for a humanitarian “pause” in the war, but faces criticism for providing military aid to Israel.
Everyone in Gaza has been affected. “We often focus on the victims of airstrikes,” says Dr. Brenda Kelly, a consultant obstetrician in Oxford, U.K., “but ordinary lives don’t stop. Women still go into labor. They still have miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, preterm births.” Dr. Hatem Edhair, the head of the neonatal intensive-care unit at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, fears that electricity shutting off will mean the deaths of five babies in his care who are dependent on ventilators. “If there is no electricity,” he says, “it means the end of their life.”
Al-Awda hospital’s Mhanna, speaking by phone Oct. 23 in southern Gaza, seemed unfazed by the sound of a blast during the interview. “We are afraid; we are human beings,” Mhanna says. “But we cannot do anything except continue our mission with our patients.”

21 December 2023: King Abdullah II, during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Aqaba, reiterated the need for the entire world to push for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the protection of civilians.
His Majesty stressed that the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza will have disastrous repercussions on the entire region.
The King called for immediate action to facilitate the delivery of sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to the Strip, which faces catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
His Majesty warned of extremist settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, as well as violations in Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, which could lead to chaos in the West Bank.
The King also reaffirmed Jordan’s complete rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.
Additionally, His Majesty warned against any attempts to separate the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, which must jointly form the Palestinian state.
There will be no peace nor stability without a just solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution that fulfils the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the King noted.
His Majesty highlighted the important role of France and the European Union in supporting the two-state solution by stepping up efforts to create a political horizon that would lead to just, comprehensive, and lasting peace.
For his part, President Macron commended Jordan’s efforts, led by His Majesty, to work towards reaching peace on the basis of the two-state solution, which guarantees regional security and stability.
The president highlighted Jordan’s important role in enhancing international coordination to maximise the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, as well as the Kingdom’s efforts to provide aid and medical services through its two field hospitals in the Strip.
President Macron expressed France’s interest in receiving Gazan children suffering from cancer for treatment at French hospitals, in coordination with Jordan, noting that other European countries are also interested in receiving wounded Gazan children to offer them medical treatment.
The president said France is keen on increasing humanitarian aid for Gaza, in coordination with Jordan, welcoming the announcement of procedures to facilitate aid delivery to Gaza through Karm Abu Salem crossing.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, the French delegation accompanying President Macron, and France’s Ambassador to Jordan Alexis Le Cour Grandmaison attended the meeting.

「 the introduction 」
Chesney is a politician’s kid through and through. Her dad, Michael 'Mike' Ragsdale, was mayor of Windsor Bay from 1995 to 1999, served in the state legislature from 1999 to 2003, and was governor of Oregon from 2003 to 2011.
(tw: cancer, death of a parent) Her mother was diagnosed with cancer when she was 14 and spent the next 6 months essentially living in the hospital, with Chesney by her side most of the time. While her mom was in the hospital, she skipped out on her dad’s events as early as possible, even when her mom was no longer responsive.
Chesney chose to become a nurse because she saw how much they were able to care for people while doctors just seemed to stroll in and out from time to time.
She attended Washington State University and got her BSN in nursing, knowing that she was going to return to Windsor Bay after graduating. While in college, Chesney came home every single weekend and during all school breaks.
When her dad was governor, she remained at the family home in Windsor Bay and attended school here. She and her mother would drive to Salem as needed for appearances and events.
Chesney was in college when she first started dating women in addition to dating men, and she has yet to actually introduce any person she's dated to her father because she doesn't think he's something anyone else should have to endure.

Chesney has a tuxedo cat named Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy! He only answers to 'Darcy' though.
Has strong feelings about the importance of closed-toed shoes and panty hose, and she will gladly discuss them with anyone who could possibly hate themselves enough to ask or stick around for it
Chesney is a Massive Bookworm!!! She was constantly reading, and if she isn't in the middle of two or three books, then something might be wrong with her?
She has always been very aware of and understanding about the consequences that go along with choices and how those can impact the people you love, blah blah blah.
Literally never late to anything in her entire life! EVER!!!
She's got a little bit of a bad habit of letting people control the situation or tell her what to do, but overall she doesn't mind it, she just goes with the flow a little too well after years of conditioning!
Chesney is bisexual and deep down, she's a hopeless romantic, but she tends to write off relationships as too complicated or silly when deep down she's just afraid of someone breaking her heart

As women, we know nothing soothes the mind and soul like an open, honest relationship with your healthcare provider, and that’s a truth Hawthorne Obstetrics & Gynecology has lived by since its inception.  Generations of Winston-Salem women have trusted their expertise and welcoming family atmosphere, along with their commitment to the highest quality personalized care. Hawthorne providers may very well be currently delivering babies for mothers they also delivered – the amazing circle of life!   Founder Dr. Richard E. photos by:  JODIE BRIM CREATIVE While every stage of a woman’s life brings new joys and challenges, each phase is immensely personal. Founder Dr. Richard E. Hedrick, Jr. began this journey at his solo practice in 1983, focusing on obstetrics and gynecology, gradually adding board-certified physicians, physician assistants, nurses, sonographers and support staff through the years. You’ll find state-of-the-art technology but always with a comforting touch.   Dr. Kerri R. Scherer, who has been treating patients here since 2003, was drawn to the field when she realized the impact she could have on women during key life moments.   “This is a very privileged job,” explains Dr. Scherer. “It’s such a blessing to be present with women during their happiest times – such as pregnancy and labor – but also during difficult times such as miscarriages and cancer diagnoses. I love that I’m able to follow my patients throughout various stages of their lives.”   Hawthorne OBGYN sees you through family planning, gynecological care, diagnostics and treatments, and performs several in-office surgeries for your convenience, so you can get the care you need and be back to doing what you love. Providers balance thoroughly treating patients with maintaining a comforting atmosphere – and that keeps families coming back, generation after generation. They also serve the community at both North Carolina Baptist Hospital and Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. Meet the Heart of Hawthorne OBGYN Anthony L. Masciello, MD, FACOG Originally from Tampa, FL, Anthony L. Masciello joined the team in 1994, after graduating summa cum laude from Mercer University and receiving his medical degree in 1985 from the University of South Florida. He completed his residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville in 1989, then served in the National Health Service Corps, providing care for disadvantaged patients in Fort Myers, FL. He has served as Division Director at Forsyth Medical Center and Medical Park Hospital. An avid runner, Dr. Masciello dedicates time to volunteering with Hands of Hope NC, a local mission group providing care in the Dominican Republic. He enjoys time with his wife, Gena, and their adult children and is proud his son and daughter have also chosen to care for others as physicians.  Kerri R. Scherer, MD, FACOG Born while her father was in the military in Stuttgart, Germany, Kerri R. Scherer moved several times before coming to North Carolina in 1990 to attend Duke University. She graduated with honors with a B.S. in biology, and both medical school and residency training were completed at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She graduated first in her medical school class, was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received Excellence Awards from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Women’s Association. As Chief Administrative Resident, she was honored to receive several teaching awards and was selected as Resident of the Year in 2003 – the same year she joined Hawthorne. She became Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005, and in 2007, became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her area of interest is adolescent care, high-risk obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery and infertility. Dr. Scherer and her husband have two daughters.  Christopher Thompson, MD, FACOG Christopher Aaron Thompson grew up in Bristol, VA and graduated with distinction from The University of Virginia where he earned a degree in biochemistry. Dr. Thompson received his medical degree from The University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he served as a member of the Admissions Committee, and then completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Heat Acclimation and a Pedal Partner Visit
This past Sunday myself and a few of my PHAT Tuesday teammates headed out for a 60+ mile training ride. Here in Massachusetts it was a hot and humid Sunday. We rode at a steady pace and made sure to stay hydrated. We were only riding just over half the distance of Day 1 of the PMC, so it was good to get acclimated to the heat.
Our route also took us near our 2012 Pedal Partner, Stephen D'Ercole. At age 3 he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (aka ALL), tThe most common type of leukemia in children under 15. He received treatment for 2 years . The first year of his treatment was very extremely difficult. He was initially hospitalized for 35 days. In total, he spent 73 nights the first year at Children's Hospital.
To make a long story short, he is now a healthy college student entering his senior year at Salem State University and over this summer he is a branch manager for a College Painters franchise out of Norton, MA.

It is stories like Stephen's that motivate myself and others on our team to keep riding and raising funds year after year.
There are 24 days to this year's Pan-Mass Challenge and I am almost halfway to my goal of $12,000. July has started off strong with an additional $1,175 rolling in. So if you can, please donate to my ride to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
100% of every donation goes directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston and supports cancer research & patient care.

Eclipse Notes, April 8th, 2024 This is an update on the previous post on the eclipse.
Personally, I don’t go with all the Biblical prophecies going around about Salem and Ninevah. A lot of these videos may be well intentioned, but just add to the fearporn and as always, best to study it to see. I do not wish to exacerbate that, but that hysteria has been whipped up is not surprising as it is human to seek meaning with dramatic celestial events and full solar eclipses confound and alarm people.
Eclipses also bering awe and wonder so I’d concentrate on that feeling. But the stories can obscure the truth which takes longer study, and a concentrated effort to peel back the layers to unearth its deeper meaning. Remember as Alan Watts said of Zen Buddhist philosophy: the finger pointing to the Moon is not the Moon.
Eclipses are natural astronomical phenomena that happen 4-6 times a year. Perhaps people just have not paid attention to them before? Simply put; the Moon will align in front of the sun blocking its light to the earth for a few minutes. It is a physically observable phenomenon for those in the eclipse path which happens to be the USA. This is great if you are able to see it, and even if there are clouds, you can still feel it. But many parts of the world will not see it, and time differences can be major e.g. I am in Bali at the moment so it will be April 9th before the eclipse is visible in the US as Bali is 14 hours ahead, so why should there be any concern?
The symbolism of a full solar eclipse is another thing, but to pile on meanings that do not belong to it does not help people remain steady and calm. Not all coincidences or names are significant, only some and there is a need to be discerning. There is no need for alarm. We have three more eclipses coming this year and three more total solar eclipses before 2030. April 8th is an opportunity to witness the sun being blacked out by the moon as it aligns with the earth and that must be truly awesome.
But it is true that the higher the visiblity of the eclipse path across countries and cities, the greater the effect. So the USA is under the path and should see some radical changes there not least because it is going through its Pluto return now.
It could affect us all but as the Sun symbolically represents especially those highly visible characters particularly the male leaders. Though people may think otherwise, some of them have been in power far too long, have involvement with corruption, or have not earned their position by a mandate from the people and who also have histories of abuse. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius we had the French Revolution and even Nostradamus predicted loss of heads.
Benjanin Netanyahu (Libra) Currently he has a North Node return at 15° of Aries, opposite his Neptune conjunct South Node. The Eclipse will still be close to that point in his chart. Masses of people in Tel Aviv are calling for his resignation and it is claimed he has been hurried into hospital awaiting a hernia operation.
King Charles (Scorpio) He was coronated on May 6th 2023 when there was a Lunar eclipse the day before, perhaps using that eclipse energy to boost his status? The April 8th eclipse trines his Mars at 20° of Sagittarius and opposes his Venus/Neptune at 14-16° of Libra by a few degrees but that also conjuncts the South node at 15° Libra, opposing the North Node.
Joe Biden ( Scorpio) The eclipse itself for Biden does not have major connections. But it is square to his Jupiter at 25° of Cancer. His Moon in early Taurus is also square to Pluto at the beginning of Aquarius. His Saturn in Gemini is loosely square to the Saturn/Mars conjunction in Pisces.
Emmanuel Macron (Sagittarius) The eclipse is opposite Macron’s natal Pluto in Libra and will soon have a reverse Node conjunction when the Nodes get to 11° of Aries end of June early July 2024.He is currently not very popular among the French and just ask Senegalese what they think of him.
Rishi Sunak (Taurus) The eclipse is a few degress from his natal Moon at 23° of Aries with transiting Mercury being at 24° But his chances as an unelected billionaire prime minister in the coming general election this year are slim.
Klaus Schwab (Aries) Schwab being an Aries has a stellium of planets (Sun/Saturn/Venus/Mercury) in Aries so the current stellium (Sun/Moon/Mercury/Chiron/Venus and the North Node) in Aries is concentrated there, hitting every natal planet and giving him a bumpy ride even though he is out of the news at the moment.
Vladimir Putin ( Libra) With Russian leader, the North Node opposes his Sun in Libra conjunct the South Node and the eclipse lands at the midpoint opposition to his Saturn and Neptune in Libra. He is already in his 5th term as president of Russia despire having so many enemies.
Donald Trump (Gemini) The eclipse actually trines his Moon at 21° Sagittarius aand sextiles his Sun/North Node at 22° of Gemini so that does not look so bad for him. Being resilient comes naturally to Geminis but the ecilpse does oppose his Jupiter at 17 of Libra and the fact that Chiron is right there too is significant as his own Chiron is at 14° of Libra opposes conjuncts the South Node and opposes the North Node at 15° of Aries. Chiron could bring vulnerability or healing either way.
Justin Trudeau (Capricorn)
This eclipse is visible in the city where Trudeau was born, Ottowa, and that could signal a stronger effect.  It  lands on his natal Moon at 17° of Aries and on the North Node at 15 °. This is opposite Uranus at 17° of Libra.  He has Chiron in Aries at  9° so has already been through his Chiron return. Whatever you think of him, many inside his own government are actively trying to have him removed and the majority of Canadians cannot forgive him for what he did to the truckers. Neptune will eventually cross his Mars at that ‘endpoint’ degree of 29° of Pisces which should be very interesting as Saturn will also reach that point around his birthday 25th December 2025.
These are all significant placements but you could argue in some cases, not major,so no big deal, but eclipses are tricky and events could go either way – it can also suddenly bring people into power who were unknowns. So we can watch out for that too. Politics- or Poli-tricks as it should be called, is well known for concealing vital information or being ‘economical with the truth’ and using Spin doctors to make what is bad look good and vice versa. Watch the film ‘Wag the Dog’ (1997) to see exactly how that is done.
Perhaps nothing will happen immediately to any of them or it will be some other leaders that disappear out of sight. They may all still appear to be in position, but what may be happening behind the scenes is another thing altogether, and we are not being told and events later in the year will bring about a shift in their status.
In the immortal words of Johnny Rotten at the very last Sex Pistols gig in the US- he said sneeringly ‘Ever feel like you’ve been cheated?’
