Me using the new @murad eye masks that just launched, and some makeup I’ve been using regularly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The @muradskincare masks are new. They’re formulated with retinol and made out of no-slip cellulose. People asked if these falls off and no, they don’t, but I also prefer to lie back and do nothing when I’m wearing an eye mask. It’s my new thing to do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I liked these for their refreshing effect, and I’d suggest using them before an event. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @bareminerals originalmineralveil transluscent setting powder. I like it! Less waste than loose powder! I use it with brush and not with the accompanying puff. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @FentyBeauty Cream blush in Rose Latte. I got this last year (over a year ago, actually!), stopped using it, and just took it out again. It's a bit of a deeper colour than I normally go for, so I normally use this closer to my contour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @stilacosmetics eyeshadow. Discontinued. Never met a glitter shadow I didn't like. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here’s the makeup I’ve been using, and actually there’s nothing new. @charlottetilbury Beautiful Skin foundation. I got a warmer shade and I like it so much better. The undertones are better suited for my skin tone. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @physicialnsformula lip balms. Because these need to be sharpened, I like to keep them at home instead of in my purse. @vasanticosmetics Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner. These are the best eyeliners ever. Try them. Every single product in the @skinproud lineup is under $20, and these formulas are actually more elegant than the brands they're competing with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Take the Skin Proud Detox Tonic, for example. It's not hard to find a glycolic acid toner out there, but this one is about $17 and comes in a nice pump bottle. The finish isn't sticky which is what I've hated about other toners. I'm using this in the AM as my only cleanse... There is 5% lactic acid in this toner which makes it more gentle than other acid toners. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I like both the Sorbet Skin and the Sleep Hero moisturizers. They're both light but have a pleasing jelly texture, and really the only difference is that the Sorbet Skin is the lighter of the two. You could use Sleep Hero during the day... there's nothing in it that makes it only suitable for the night time. But, they're both light, so probably not great for very dry skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There's even a gentle retinol in the lineup, called the Recharge Serum. Again, this is a super light formula even though it has rosehip oil in it. Honestly, the retinol is a bit confusing because the line seems more geared towards the younger demographic, and not EVERYONE has to use retinol all the time, but if you wanted a retinol in a light gentle formula, then this could be for you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I think this line has a good balance of ingredient-focused skincare but without being too concerned with percentages. Recent trends have been to obsess over what percentage of retinol or glycolic you're using without any regard to the elegance and usability of the formula. Another month, another @SelvRituel box. so many yummy things in this one but I haven't had time to delve in properly. Can you see where they were going with this? Things I've finished and loved. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @cantubeauty Skin Therapy lotion - omg I went back and forth about this one a lot. I didn't like the smell, but then I liked it. It's a sweet coconut candy. I didn't like the texture and then I did. Honestly, this would be an amazing summer lotion because it's light, sets quickly, and is not greasy at all. But it's also not that moisturizing, so it's not my favourite for the winter time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @bliss Vitamin C. I loved this vitamin C. It was light and stable and I'll always like a pump better than those little dropper bottles. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @naturallyseriousskin Sleep Over Retin-Oil. Adored this oil, it was super gentle on my skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @soldejaneiro Coco Cabana Cream. This is a mini. Smells tropical but I like the texture of the original Bum Bum Cream better. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @elizabetharden Eight Hour Cream Lip Balm. Thick and waxy, this lasted a long time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @yslbeauty The Shock mascara. I bought this in a blue colour and it never smudged or flaked. This is an amazing formula. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @blistex lip balm. It is winter and I've been running out of every lip balm I have. This one has spf 25 and I liked that.
