Daniel spoke openly about struggling to keep enough weight on during his McL stint. But apparently Crofty thinks it's appropriate commentary fodder to joke about needing "smaller lighter drivers like Yuki and [Liam]" during FP2.

I don't care if you dislike Daniel, in fact I don't care if you hate him, surely we can all agree no driver should be subjected to comments like this. This inappropriate, nasty unprofessional commentary needs to be called out, particularly coming on a day where Ricciardo has already been subjected to some pretty gross on air remarks by other presenters.

F1 drivers are people and deserve to be spoken about with respect. And driver's weights and bodies are never appropriate topics for on air jokes.

The NHL will not allow teams to wear "cause-based" jerseys next season, the league confirmed on Thursday.

The league's Board of Governors agreed with Commissioner Gary Bettman's view that the refusals overshadowed teams' efforts in hosting Pride nights that in some cases included auctioning off the warmup jerseys. All 32 teams held Pride or Hockey is for Everyone night.

Teams will still celebrate Pride and other theme nights, including military appreciation and Hockey Fights Cancer. They're also expected to still design and produce jerseys to be autographed and sold to raise money, even though players won't skate around with them on during warmups.

Pride jerseys became a hot-button issue in the league last season after multiple players refused to wear them during warmups.

It’s true. They fucking won the Olympics. And they could very well be World Cup Champions in the Fall, but it seems Canada Soccer is doing all it can to undermine the players and hinder that goal. That’s a disgrace in itself.

But threatening legal action against the CANWNT because they protest for fairness, for equal treatment, for funding they absolutely deserve; it is just appalling. Forcing the players back onto the pitch. There is no other place they would rather be, so if they strike, the Federation should listen.

I genuinely hate it when some F1 fans say things like, "Oh I just want Max (or any dominating driver) to crash into the wall," "[XYZ] didn't deserve to win, someone else did," "This sport has becoming so less entertaining," "Omg why can't he lose a race for once? Doesn't he want to see the fans have fun?" Or something like, "This driver didn't deserve to DNF."

This is a sport. Do you expect these people who've trained and dreamed of winning since they were kids (even toddlers) to just back down and not want to win for your faves? This is, firstly, an engineer sport based on skill not your whines. It's fine to root for a driver or constructor to win but saying the winning driver shouldn't have won because they simply didn't deserve it is absolutely absurd.
