I think it’s hilarious that Angeal and Sephiroth first meet during what feels like the setup to a horror movie. sephiroth and angeal’s blair witch project adventure

In Delico's Nursery, vampires have this ability called Initiative through their bites. They basically can command you to do anything. From what I understand, only someone stronger can break/overpower that command.

So imagine Lilia Vanrouge, a bat fae, who has this very specific ability that only Maleficia knew about. It was kept a secret from even the senate, so he wouldn't be forced to use his ability for nefarious reasons.

Imagine Lilia with Malleus in his arms, the fae prince on the brink of death after his overblot, Lilia having no choice but to use this initiative on him before help arrives. Biting him, commanding him to live, "Do not fall here Malleus, you must live." That is the only reason Malleus lives. He almost lost Malleus once when he was in his egg; he won't allow that to happen again. Lilia would rather be spurned for this ability than lose Malleus to death. He won’t let him join the stars yet. Not while Lilia lives and breathes.

Imagine Lilia using the initiative on Silver. When Silver is a baby and the sleeping curse starts manifesting. Imagine Lilia, in a moment of weakness, biting Silver. His command? "Do not fall to this curse Silver, never fall to your curse." Imagine that being the reason why Silver hadn't fully fallen into slumber until it finally broke at the end of Book 7 because of his family?

Lilia Vanrouge with this ability, someone who could bring down kingdoms and gain power and status, chose not too. Because those things never mattered to him, only being with those he loves is his greatest treasure.

I hope this time the Rookie actually goes for it. Like once a season at least one of the team is accused of a crime, but in almost all of those cases everything gets resolved by the end of the episode.

But based on the promo, with Harper being suspected of trying to kill James, things could be more drawn out. I’m assuming they think she worked with gang because she knew some of them in her undercover days. And once they start questioning the team, Nolan reveals he thinks James is cheating. Lopez would reluctantly reveal that Nyla and James’ marriage has been stressed lately. Maybe of the gang finds out a cop is taking the fall for the shooting they’ll try to pin it even more squarely on her.

Basically I’m hoping this isn’t a one and done. Let’s have Harper in prison still waiting for James to get better. Let’s have Lopez and Wesley taking in their daughter because James is still in the hospital. Let’s have all the relationships crumble a bit and then need to be rebuilt.

Basically, don’t give up on the opportunity to make this drama really dramatic. The angst is part of why im here.

People hating on a literal child because she doesn’t physically look like a character in a book who we only ever saw in concept art and fanart vs me who was kinda sad when I realized book Percy wasn’t black because the description of a young boy living in New York who’s close with his single mother parent who is constantly seen as stupid troublemaker by both peers and teachers and his moms awful boyfriend and who’s only friend is the only other Outcast (non white) classmate who’s only ally is the literature teacher who then he finds also has doubts about him felt very if not fully black then at least mixed coded.

But then I moved on and enjoyed the story for what it gave me, can some of these people say the same 🤔
