Just a fun fact that boils my blood… Linda Bloodworth was already writing snide dialogue about Delta Burke’s weight in 1982 when she was 26 and looked like this:

#filthy rich #is really funny for what it is (parody of prime time soaps like Dallas)#and Linda bloodworth has a lot of pet phrases and jokes that get recycled on designing women #which I find kind of charming #but Dixie Carter’s character always talking about the size of delta Burke’s character’s thighs #and Nedra volz’s character almost exclusively referring to her as The Big Girl #can’t even wait until a weight flux girl is actually fat to bully her for being fat! preemptive fat shaming!
