Long ask anon with an even longer ask (I truly don’t know how to make long story short, but I can do the reverse), sorry. I am dividing this in two parts in case you decide to post this, so it would not be such an essay.

Part 1. Intro

Something has been eating up at me for a while but I only recently gathered the courage to do anything more than lurking. I actually am quite new to this, mostly because I was not allowing myself to even get into this in the first place. I am a very chill person when it comes to celebrities, I truly couldn’t care less about their lives, don’t even follow them on SM (L and N included) (not that I use SM all that much to begin with), I don’t know why but it always seems strange for me to be invested in strangers’ lives. I am not big of a fan girl either, especially media wise, I am much more interested in books and have no patience for tv shows most of the time. All of this to say, this is unusual behavior for me, watching all of the interviews with repetitive questions (those poor actors having to repeat themselves over and over again), paying attention to actors (beyond just knowing their names).

Polin is one of the rare ships that captured my interest, so I was very excited to learn about s3 being them, and when the wait for even the slightest info seem to be dragging on endlessly those interviews served as a great entertainment. Until they were not, until I started noticing things I wished not to. What started as “oh, they are so cute, and charming, and their friendship is so endearing!” very quickly turned into “babes, WHAT THE F*CK DID I JUST SAW/HEARD?” At one point I was honestly thinking “did I miss something? Are they together? What is going on?” So I checked, out of curiosity nothing more, but found nothing OFFICIAL suggesting that (as in N nor L never claimed anything). So I moved on, watched the show, other interviews (my brows still rising at some points), and then post Part 2 premiere I saw the picture on IG.

Everyone on internet seemed to be screaming about Ls’ GF, and being absolutely vile to him, which I found so disgusting I immediately checked out of the situation and turned my attention back on fiction again. It would be insincere of me not to admit to a certain disappoint on such a development, but that was as far as it would go. Though I can also truthfully say that that girl was not giving me the best impression based on the picture, something just seemed off. I only saw one at that point, where it appeared as if they were holding hands, why did it seem off? Because L looked displeased, almost angry, his eyes averted from cameras, while she was boldly looking right on them smiling as if she was walking her red carpet. As I said that was that, just continued watching the show, reading Polin fanfiction, hung out on a Polin reddit account and some Polin Tumblr blogs. And then I stumbled upon your blog (it was already past papgate 2.0), and now I’m on this bloody ship, and can not seem to force myself overboard, because those two are so soulmate coded (and yes, I realize how cheesy that sounds).

What has been bugging me, is that most, if not all, in this fandom seem to be of the opinion that L is the primary reason why N/L are yet to develop into lovers phase of this friends to lovers arc. From outright blaming him to passive aggressively calling him a dummy for not going after N. And I comprehend that most of it comes from the presence of a certain adjacent. But putting aside the OBVIOUS, LOGICAL point that we, non of us, are privy to their real lives, and bts truth, I still don’t see where that point of view comes from. I know that everyone says L is most like his character, so perhaps part of it is projection of that, but for me it always seems that L is actually a Penelope of this situation. To me, he himself gives it away.

I have never thought L was the hang up in this situation. I think N has been burned in love, is pretty closed off with this stuff, and a TOTAL workaholic. L DEFINITELY fell first (no one can convince me otherwise). L also seems to kind of be a hopeless romantic and public lover boy, which I don't think N is use to. But I feel like that is why they kind of balance each other out ❤️️

oh absolutely not, from what i can tell @shelbbswrites is a lovely person & writes about some of my favorite ships & i'd like her to keep writing so i can spiral about jiara in the near future.

as for who fucked the fandom, well. girl. the blog whose gif was linked, @/opponentsheir, is the one who knowingly, willfully fucked the fandom last summer.

it was circa mid-late May 2022 and here was the jiara tumblr fandom, struggling to get through the drought by the scraps of bts we'd scrounge up from filming. blurry ass photos that make you concerned for a tourist's ability to hold their water as they drink, random selfies that tell you next to nothing, and then the occasional "omg this is BIG how does this make sense how does it fit in but omg it's BIG" crumb.

times were rough, bts were tight, and the unsuspecting jiara tumblr fandom was hungry. unbeknownst to us in comes OH who decides. let's have some "fun" let's liven up the jiara fandom because it's clearly dead (false) and idk im bored besties let's play a hehe silly joke! at first, a few handpicked jiara blogs get random anonymous post submissions and each blog has like 2-3 different posts that are all supposed bts leaks. it's never-before-seen photos of what we can only presume are s3 bts. almost all of these blogs were in a jiara discord server together so the photos weren't shared because wtf who is trusting us with these clear leaks we don't want them to stop though. so we sit on these, we get excited, we spiral, all that fandom stuff that we had already. been. doing. but yeah here's a few more bts crumbs to have fun with. then a few weeks later when, to OH's surprise, the fandom hasn't reacted like she wanted, freaked out over her "leaks," hasn't posted them on every platform ever to give her the attention she feels she deserves, she decides oooh let's send more! this isn't sociopathic at all!! and then bam there's a second round of anonymous post submissions followed up by an anon ask sent to one of the blogs saying "you can post them, this is the last you'll get because i've reached my max photoshopping ability do not contact again" (also pardon but how tf are we supposed to contact you if you're anonymous).

ANYWAYS the leaks: we're talking blurry, random characters - sarah, pope, rose, jj and pope, kie, a random dude by a fire, and then jj having his beat-up face held by hands that look just like kie's hands.

and sure enough, we spiral! an actual face hold??? on our screens??? fuck yeah! cannot wait for s3!!! jokes on us we're getting so much more but yeah!!! we're theorizing we're writing whole ass fics we're speculating we've got a discord emoji we've got everything. a few hours later the leaks make it to jiara twt and THEY go wild too. i mean who tf wouldn't? you're starving for content and some mysterious source decides to drop you leaks. like yeah hindsight is 20:20 and who was going to potentially violate an NDA for this, but still.

fastforward several months and now OH is back because i guess she got desperate for attention again and feeling "important" or whatever. she goes on anon and says hey btw those leaks were fake ha ha isn't that funny, here's the photos i used linked here and here and omg isn't this just hilarious bestie such a good time man i love the jiara fandom being active again because god i was so BORED and man i just wanted more fics and edits and omg look it worked i mean i've done it before and i'd do it again (or some shit like that idk i dont have the wherewithal to go look it up and get it 100% correct but yeah, she admitted to doing it for funsies)

rightfully so, the fandom is fucking pissed. it isn't *fun* to get manipulated, it isn't *fun* to get manipulated into making new content???? that we don't get fucking paid to make???????? fuck you?????? you don't manipulate an entire group of people for SHITS AND GIGGLES that's literally sociopathic shit babe, go get help please. so yeah she fucked the entire fandom over Summer 2022 and did it because "i'm bored i want content" like fuck all the way off.

oh and side note: another anonymous poster tried to say oh i know who it is, but also i'm not going to tell you because you guys are clearly mad at her and i don't want you to take it out on her, i know her and it's ok she's ok. like i'm sorry. the fuck? don't insert yourself into this stupid sociopath's deranged manipulative plan. because guess what bitch, we've got detectives in this fandom and while OH never came off anon like the coward she is, the fandom was able to put it together & not only determine her tumblr but also her twt so when she tried a fucking round three several months later with "oh i found these on reddit but the post disappeared hehe" we all saw through that shit a mile away.

Okay this may be weird and also idk if you know but anyway …. Okay so I’ve been watching some TikTok edits of interviews of the obx cast and especially Rudy and Madison Bailey and they seemed on and off camera great friend with potential for more . Yes I know they have significant others ( I don’t name Rudy’s partner in denial lol) but it got me thinking that maybe they were close to being more but then they both got with other people . It just seems so odd to me that they were so close in season one and maybe even2 and 3 (haven’t really seen bts stuff from that) but and I saw another anon say that they thought Elaine might have pushed him to distance himself cause now when you see bts video or pics their ( Rudy and Maddy) seem to be off . I know it’s speculation and it’s their own personal business but it just is interesting that such a great friendship ended . Anyway curious about your thoughts .

Watching BTS videos and interviews of s1, honestly, it really felt there was an attraction and vibe going on between Rudy and Madison. There are so many videos where one or both are just making heart or bedroom eyes. Now I, honestly don't know if they acted on it before they got with their SO. I am leaning in the they did not category, but we will never know for sure.

I see between S2 and s3 their friendship took a hit, there was words said by each's SO and it effected their relationship. There were multiple times they unfollowed each's SO on IG, then followed again, Rudy removed comments or posts pertaining to Madison and vice versa. It got kinda childish at one point. You can really see in interviews for s3 the difference in their friendship. Rudy is really stiff and standoffish to Madison.

Then last year Madison unfollowed Elaine, sometime around the start of filming s4, and since then will post weird sayings about lost friendships or wishing things were like in s1. Most assume it is about Rudy, but honestly could be about anyone. In recent BTS videos, unless filming, Rudy is off with just Elaine. He doesn't seem to hang out with the rest of the cast anymore. Not to say he doesn't, cause like I said we only see a snippet of their lives.

I don't want to start anymore rumors than there already are about them, that is just what we see from the outside. I try to be neutral and not read too much into things, but some of it is really hard not to. I do think there was some heated words and maybe more, but to say it was all Elaine, I am not so sure. I think it was all of them.

Saw some really bad anti-Cordelia/anti-Cangel opinions but I’m being so brave about it. In all seriousness though, what do you say to people who think Season 3 regresses on cordelia’s development for the sake of the romance plot? I think it’s an unbelievably wrong take that clearly has no appreciation for her character whatsoever but I’d like to hear your takes.

So, I do think we lose some of Cordy’s POV in the second half of S3 once she becomes a ‘romance interest’ but I don’t see this as a flaw on Cangel’s part. Moreover, I see it as a flaw of the show itself AKA having too many male writers in the writers room.

However, I don’t think her character is regressed at all. S3 has some of the most amazing growth for her character in the show. "So - demonize me already” is one of the best Cordelia moments across both series.

I'm going to quote Nika_83 here because she said it better than I could:

"I say they also don't know the meaning of the word regression. Which is to go backwards. At no point in season 3 does cordy slide back in to season 1 btvs behavior. So that's pattently wrong. Rather she is way more selfless and giving. This all makes sense given what she has seen and experienced. She literally feels the pain of the visions. She wants to help those people. And selfishly she wants to be important to angel and the cause. And she still maintains that "materialism' she always had with loving nice things, being bought out by clothes, loving being pylea princess, etc. Which is a part of her as a character and can be a flaw but that doesn't override her need to save others, or herself."

I don’t know the posts your referring to specifically but common arguments I see for S3 are:

She’s become a Mary-Sue/Saint Cordy. 

Angel on Top has a good response to that: “She's in this relationship with Groo that we already discussed as being, like, flawed in various ways and has a certain amount of denial baked into it. Like that is imperfect. And she also tries to read what is going on with Gunn and is completely wrong as well. Like, she’s also, like, there’s human error happening still with her. Like I don’t think she is—god forbid I use the Mary Sue word–she’s like not doing that kind of stuff. I do think Cordelia would be inherently less interesting if she was suddenly perfect and never did anything wrong ever in her life. But, you know, she’s still Cordelia. She’s still, like, making some mistakes and being a little too abrasive every once in a while. Like, I don’t subscribe to that.”

“Angel's feelings are the only ones I care about” - The Price; ‘she’s become too focused on Angel’

I think saying ‘oh, all she cares about is Angel’ is oversimplifying it greatly and missing the point. Yes, she cares about Angel and always has (see 1x22 when she buys him art supplies to make him feel better and “Well, he's gonna have to start wanting things from life, whether he wants to or not!”). This is nothing new. I think in the overall context of what’s going on in S3 at that time, it makes sense. I think she is prioritizing Angel and focusing on Angel’s grief over losing Connor to protect herself from her own grief. If she keeps busy taking care of Angel, she won’t have to feel the pain/loss herself. Also we know Cordy is guilty of downplaying her own pain to her own detriment (her hiding that the visions were literally killing her!) so sadly this is in character for her.

I also wanna hop in here and say that I completely agree with everything that has been said and I also wanna add that even if you completely strip away the romantic subtext of s3, Cordelia would be the same person that she was in that season because two things are very true. One, that her life would still be very much intertwined with Angel's because that's the nature of him being the protagonist--similar to how Cordy's life was very much intertwined with Buffy's on BTVS--and two, her growth over the last seasons (and arguably since BTVS) would still lead her to the place that she wound up. She didn't grow to the kind hearted, loving person who cares more about the mission than money that we see in s3 because of Angel or for Angel. She grew because she was presented time and time again with a worldview and a mission that was bigger and more important than herself and it shaped her and facilitated her growth into the person she became.

I also gotta point out that the argument in itself feels kind of sexist as if a woman can’t have positive growth unless it’s attributed to shipping her with a man. Not to mention that the "Saint Cordy" moniker also feels sexist because it both diminishes her growth and patronizes her. Essentially it paints her as this super perfect saint of a person instead of talking about how much she's grown or the sacrifices that she's had to make in order to get where she is in canon or even talking about the mistakes she does make/flaws she does have in the back half of s3. Not to mention it also is used to not talk about the real issues of the back part of s3 and how that twisted into the narrative of s4 (which is a very sexist narrative with many flaws). It's just is like "oh she's saint cordelia now" and doesn't leave much, if any, room for deeper discussions. Not to mention it also paints this narrative of "a woman has to be suffering constantly or tormented in order to be viewed as a flawed, complex person" which is both gross and incorrect.

Tbh this fandom is annoying me soo much and sometimes i feel like you need to share all those strange takes if you don’t want to be called names. I’m all about criticize what need to be criticize but sometimes i ask myself if we aren’t going too far. Sometimes it feels like we are so full of ourselves to think that we know everything. For example I don’t like the fact that Simone can’t like or leave a comment under a post where they are defending POC because people immediately make it about Bridgerton or how some people act as if she is stupid.Since s2 came out, more precisely since the beginning of the year, every single days people talk about the same thing. Now they are starting again with the bts stuffs especially with a photo with the cast except Simone and Claudia. This fandom need to take a position because it’s embarrassing to see the same people say that Simone was happy in B, even posting stuffs where she is all excited and happy about her experience or about her return in s3,and then at the same time stating she was treated badly/ she was isolated by her castmates etc…if a person is victim of all the stuffs this fandom is talking about she can’t be happy or excited and I honestly believe Simone because you can see on her face how really happy she is. So maybe there are indeed some strange stuffs but it’s not completely how some people are imagining 🤷🏻‍♀️…ah people need to remember one thing: CC is a WOC like Simone. You can’t fight for Simone while at the same time be awful to CC even about her stuffs outside Bridgerton because then you only show that it’s not about fighting for WOC rights and all but it’s only a fandom who is obsessed with an actress so they need to shade everything and everyone for her and this is so wrong

I do hope you're referring to when people overanalyse the IG activities rather than about calling out bigorty and showing solitary especially to the fans and cast of colour. Because we need more of the latter. We cannot stop calling out production and other racist/racially ignorant fans that let them off the hook. Otherwise they'll get even more complacent than they are now.

I agree there have been a lot of repetition but mostly because the Bton team keeps pulling the same shit. Though now I'd argue there's new shit happening every other day sigh.

As for Simone on set, my take is she was fine/okay on set, also the cast isn't buddy buddy like others and that's okay, it is work and a job after all. I think like Jonny mentioned she was probably surprised by their stories and arc in the final script, especially when the audition flashback scripts she got never saw the light of day in the final versions. Maybe a little confused by the way promo rolled out but she doesn't seem like the type to want to centre everything on her so she wasn't going to make a fuss and did her own things instead. That being said still doesn't excuse or make it okay for the way she was sidelined in her own season.

HARD agree on your last point. I've already talked abt this before and yeah I'm indifferent to her as a person and understand why others may not be fans of her (and there are other Indian actresses they prefer anyways which valid) but some anons around just keep spreading hate and I feel like most of us are tired honestly - both fans of CC and those who don't care much for her. Like she's gone guys, let her go.

Omg thank you so much for your posts about rinharu!! :"")) I was one of those people who were like "why are rinharu fighting again?? I was really irked at first cuz i thought the first part of TFS is finally going to be a movie about rinharu being a powercouple, but! After reading your posts i realised that haru never really moved on from rin leaving, even in S3 the reason why hiyori's words affected him was because he thought he caused rin to leave (and by extension ikuya, but lbr haru wasn't as frustrated with ikuya nearly as much as he was with rin right) so i'm just here to say.. thank you so much for opening my eyes!!! Now i'm really looking forward to the second part!!

Awww no problem <3 tbh I've always said that free is one of those that has so many nuances left bts that it's sometimes confusing for those who aren't as invested I think. Like there's so many important things that are left out and are in additional materials, that some has no idea what's going on at times. Like back in the days when some interpreted s2 in the opposite way bc of that one thing. My point is that not everyone is even watches stuff like recaps for example (where there are in fact new easter eggs and so many important things like Rin's dad death aftermath etc), and even less read novels and checked side stories and dramas.

For example, in books this Haru's issue about him thinking he's cursed and hurts everyone with his swimming is a huge thing, when Asahi "lost his ability to swim" after seeing Haru's free. But in SD it wasn't adressed at all tbh.

And what Haru feels for Rin is such tornado of emotions, that surprised even me with all the descriptions, bc like it's real bad. Like that part I posted from the chapter when Rin leaves is at least understandable, since he leaves. But the way he reacts to him in general even when he just appears in his sight is always described as if someone tortures him for real lol. And he's always like "pls someone save me, I don't know how to deal with this, bc I've never felt such emotions before".

So basically, like yeah, he's as it is has this thing, when he thinks of himself as some bad omen, so he's very sensitive about it, but since everything Rin-related feels x100000000 for him, its just... well, it hurt for a very long time and sadly was just overlooked by a certain someone, so here we are.

I think we all at first believed that bc Rin's so shocked and in disbelief that Haru could even think that it was his fault in some way:

that maybe they talked about it bts or smth like after the relay. But it seems like Rin either forgot or most likely I think he maybe thought that Haru understood without words? I'm just real sad still that Haru didn't get to hear this speech:

I mean, they made it look by the end of s1 that it was about relay, which partially yeah, but for Rin it was really about Haru. You see what he said.. he said that that 1x02 race with Haru alone.. what made him want to swim again. This whole speech was not only about the fact that Haru wasn't at fault that he quit swimming in the first place, but about the fact that Haru is his lucky charm, that makes everything better. AND WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO HEAR THAT. So like for Haru it's to this day like "after I messed him up, Rin was saved with the power of friendship and a relay". But he was saved by Haru really. Bc according to s3 info, it was basically just about Haru being on the relay team. I don't try to demean their friendships or anything, but its just what it is.

And as I've said before in one post it's just fascinating that to this day Rin for example thinks that s1 shananigans were just about him and just his problem:

So like my point here is I also up to the end of s2 thought that maybe Rei or Rin told that to him, bc we seemed to move on to another problems, until in Kizuna we were shown that he still dreams about that scene of Rin leaving. s3 Hiyori just exposed the wound really.

But also once again see what he said there, it's not just about that one time he keeps reliving, aka his first come back, its really just about each time Rin was leaving. Like the very first one already was bad, the second was the worst, bc he thought he hurt him and thought that bc of him he quit swimming, others are just painful bc by then it was already another kind of feeling. I mean, I do think that this first Rin's return to Australia thing needs to be cleared up since it's obviously still haunting him. But again it's just part of this. Haru after the Australian trip and "I've always admired you" and "without you I have nothing to aim for" and after TYM goodbye when Rin told him that he doesn't need a surprise party and that just swimming with Haru before leaving is the greastest surprise for him, he knows already about the way Rin feels about swimming with him... I think the reason why everyone is freaking out here is that bc the way it's executed it's just really about him constantly missing him and "why am I always have to longingly watch you leave, while you seem fine." If he was in a free race, but wasn't on a relay team, he'd get the same reaction. Its just all seasons combined that brought us here. We already in 3x01 without Hiyori knew that he wasn't handling Rin being far away again good. So tbh it's logical even without any explanation really. I mean, Rin does indeed leave and come back as he pleases and does what he wants without holding back or sometimes thinking about consequences. There's no lie here.

It's like since the beginning for Rin it was like "I found the gorgeous guy I adore and I want to swim with, I'll transfer schools just to nag him into swimming with me, it's not like he's gonna care if I leave after that." (he literally in the book didn't think it was a big deal)

For Haru it was like "I lived just fine, but this guy stormed into my life, made me want things I didn't think I'd ever want, got me addicted to him and then dropped me like a hot potato".

Rin's just very passionate about life and things he wants, like Haru for example, but he's really also very unobservant and very clueless at times.

But like just bc he doesn't know about Haru's existential crisis and all the pain he's truly in when he's leaving, doesn't change the fact that he at times didn't even treat him as a simple friend (because they can't be just friends I KNOW), but still things like "you could've called" "well sorry, I guess I'm just not good at it" are probably hurtful, considering the fact that you are good at it with everyone else tho, Rin sweetie. Like thanks for avoiding us the most and holding back and visiting us the last each time, we feel real special. Haru is like the opposite, he doesn't call anyone for example, but he can call Rin in the middle of the night if needed, he always does for Rin smth that's completely out of his comfort zone.

It's like some say "Rin didn't know he wanted him to call" or "he didn't know Haru felt guilty". He did know he wanted him to call and he didn't know Haru felt guilty and stopped swimming competitively when he stopped swimming, but then Rei told him and Natsuya in 3x03 reminded him about this too. Its just the fact that he doesn't want to add 1+1 and thinks "well, there's no way I can affect Haru like that right?", "he can't be that upset about Rin Matsuoka, right?". While facts are he IS literally the only one who affects Haru in such huge way. It's like everyone else can just pass him by and it's nothing, but he walks by and it's a whole "asdfghgfdsa why my body is on fire, its just Rin who's just standing there".

And I'm also buffled by this thing that some people really say stuff like "where did this come from, they were perfectly fine" etc, as if they ever had normal "friendship" relationship. I'm like when did they ever behave themselves okay? In 3x03 Rin is dying to call Haru, but can't do it, while he's constantly texting everyone including Nagisa. First thing he says in the airport when he comes back is "I'm home, Haru" to air, but then goes to hang out with Makoto and Sousuke, desperately looking for an excuse to see the one whom he from the beginning, as it was shown wanted to see the most, but in his opinion can’t without a reason. It's only when Makoto tells him that Haru was upset about Albert he quickly rans off out of there bc "hooray, I have an excuse to see my bae”. Like we know from the airport scene that he wanted to see Haru the most. If they're so as people say were doing great, than how do you exlain all of their s2 and s3 behavior for real? It's like as if in TYM Haru didn't lose his shit from some gossip about persimmons. I mean, they never settled anything really. And Haru is constantly scared of Rin leaving again since forever.

So it's complicated, but yes, we're super excited for p2, bc asdfghjhgfds.

Uhm... that's a bit tricky to answer.

Let's see, post S1 (May 16, 2019), there was a M/M promo event with Vlamis and Heather at the Upfronts in Chicago.

It wasn't bad per se, but also not great (imo), and Vlam never was near the level of enthusiasm he's always displayed for Malex. He tried very hard to hype that ship, he also did his best to establish Heather as a "leading lady", stuff like that, but some of the things he said also felt like he was just repeating CAM's talking points (not sure if that's the case, just my impression).

That continued a month later at ATX (CAM was there, also Lily, Heather, Vlam, Trevor, and Karan). I think it was there that unfortunate comments were made (like talking Malex down, label them as "problematic" etc., he apologized for that later) in order to hype M/M. As expected, that didn't go down well with the fans. And again, with CAM being there, things felt a bit... stilted?

I mean, we all know how she loved to "joke" about firing actors for saying the "wrong" thing in interviews, and it always seemed like some of the actors felt the need to credit her for her writing and stuff (Vlam in particular, the poor guy made so many pro CAM comments in interviews and made shoutout posts about her on social media - and she kept "lusting" after him in comments/story reposts, just from an outside POV it felt super YIKES, I'm sure if the roles had been reversed - male showrunner/female lead - it would've been more clear how inappropriate some of her comments were)...

Anyway, fast forward to October 2019, when Vlamburn, Lily, Jeanine, Nathan, CAM, and Chris Hollier attended New York Comic-Con. It was a fun event overall, and the cast seemed excited (it was around the time they were filming or had just wrapped 2x05 iirc). There was very little (if any? 🤔) talk about M/M anymore tho, it's like that ship never happened, or was never going to happen in the future. We'd already been fed some Malex bts content via CAM before NYCC, and while Vlamburn didn't have any joint interviews, there was lots (AND LOTS) of incredible Vlamburn content coming from that event.

They all had an on-stage panel that day, and it was good fun. I would say that there was genuine enthusiasm but alsonothing out of the ordinary, y'know.

Then there was aTVfest in February 2020 with CAM, Trevino, Nathan, and Heather. I don't really recall much from that one tbh, probably because nothing overly exciting happened? IDK.

Another time jump to the Cast 4 Good (virtual) panel in April 2020. Another event where a "say the wrong thing and I'll have to fire you" comment was made, and famously, Tyler looked like this when CAM talked about 2x06...

It's also the event where he talked about how he wanted Malex to have a "really nice gay relationship on TV" going forward, and during a 1:1 call afterward, he said this.

And honestly, the cast during that panel seemed... IDK, a little stilted, a little awkward, a little subdued? Could've been the pandemic, but I always felt like CAM's "looming" presence also played a part in that. Who knows.

The panel yesterday was such a happy and light-hearted event in contrast. I mean, it's no secret that I'm not a fan of CAM, and maybe I'm putting too much blame on her (for "ruining" the mood and making people uncomfortable), but some of my dislike is definitely rooted in how uncomfortable it always made me watching her talk to and interact with her cast, so there's definitely bias on my end, and probably a certain unfairness. WHO CARES, SHE'S GOOOOONE!

Imo the enthusiasm this season is different and to me at least, it feels more genuine than ever. Jeanine in particular seems to be so happy, she and Lily have both talked about how collaborative things have been this season.

I'm sure that Chris Hollier can make final decisions when it's necessary (he's "the boss" after all), but just from hearing him talk, he comes across as someone who genuinely loves and cares about the characters and the stories they're telling, and also as someone who enjoys the creation of the show as a collaborative process.

Like, he doesn't treat the show as "his show, and his alone", it's "their" show, and everyone plays a part in creating it, and everyone's input is welcome (and sometimes that input is even incorporated in the show - like Isobel's 3x13 speech Lily mostly wrote herself).

None of us have detailed insight into how things were going before, and at least Lily's talked about being able to bring ideas up with the writers (or rather CAM), but this season things still feel different. At least to me, and imo the cast is much more enthusiastic about S3 than they were about S2.

All of the above is obviously my personal impression (and maybe my pandemic brain also got hazy on some of the details, my apologies if that's the case), and I don't claim to be right about any of it. Just, take it with a grain of salt and keep in mind that I'm definitely not a CAM fan, and her mere absence from everything is putting a spring in my step already. xD

i mean, certainly the writers could use it as an out, depending on the show's renewal status and/or billy's availability going forward.

like grissom's otosclerosis storyline from s3, this condition is one that can either be cured or not, per their whims.

that said, just on a logistical level, a lot depends on if they've already wrapped filming for the season yet or not.

(originally, it was reported that they'd be filming into november, but mandeep dhillon posted something on instagram which suggests they actually wrapped production a while ago, and there's not been much word on filming or any bts stuff posted since then.)

if they've not yet filmed the final episode(s) of the season, then renewal status and contract negotiations with billy could definitely influence the outcome of the storyline and what they do with grissom going forward.

of course, if they have already wrapped everything—as it seems might be the case—then it's not so much that the ending of the season is going to be decided based on whether or not the show gets renewed and/or billy reups his contract as it is that those things will affect what the writers are able to do or not do with what's already been decided later on.

for example, if they've already filmed a cliffhanger finale, then if the show doesn't get renewed, there'll be no chance to resolve it.

tv show finder posted a new interview with zuiker, where he talks about grissom's landsickness being somewhat of a metaphor for grissom trying to decide where he belongs, so we'll have to see if he becomes more comfortable at the lab/on land as the season progresses; if so, there's probably a better chance that this condition will eventually resolve.

anyway, all of the above is to say that while this mal de debarquement could be a way for the writers to get grissom off the show if needed, there are still a lot of lurking variables in play here, so i don't think we can say anything with certainty at this point.

I am trying to be optimistic that 'not as much Kylex as Trevino wants' still means we get good stuff for them in s3, but if Michael winds up spending more time with Kyle in s3 than Alex, I will be so annoyed. He already spent more time with Liz and Maria in s1-2 than Alex ever did. It really shouldn't be so difficult to let the guy have one friend of his own for heaven's sake, especially since we know Alex won't get more time with Isobel either, even as Michael's primary love interest. It's not enough to upgrade the storytelling for Malex in their own bubble. They have to be acknowledged in the main narrative, and that includes scenes around other people, so this show can stop pretending that Michael's better off with a woman.

I know from the bts videos Trevino has posted when filming on set (Michael, Kyle, Greg together at what looks like the Wild Pony and the hospital vid with Malex) there will be SOMETHING but it doesn't look like it's going to be Alex and Kyle together on any adventures 😞. Kyle better not be separated from the group again like season 2, Steph is gone he has to be with everyone now!

Why would Michael spend more time with Kyle in season 3 than with Alex? That... doesn't make any sense? Though, don't get me wrong, I love a Michael/Kyle moment with Michael being all protective of Alex but really don't think they're going to be sharing a ton of time together in season 3. Michael can have some Liz time to go all mad scientist/engineer with her (although would really need Liz to acknowledge Malex exists and stop being team Miluca) but no more Maria, jesus, enough's enough.

I want group scenes WITH Malex and the main group to finally show some respect for their history together and acknowledge that their feelings for each other are legitimate and actually bringing them up in conversation. The whole erasure that was happening as the group just hopped on the Miluca train in season 2 was bullsh*t, not one single person (outside of Maria who was PART of the triangle) went up to either Michael or Alex and asked them about their relationship with each other. That does not make any sense in terms of moving Malex forward in the future (which RNM says they planned to all along). Why would you NOT have the characters bringing Malex up if it's suppose to be end game? With storytelling there's suppose to be a clear flow and with season 2 it was so cut up/disjointed in it's narration that it made no sense for any narrative happening in the show for the characters, especially for Malex.

The state of fandom, J2 things & me being done with shitty people!

So, I’m late to the party however 2021 is finally here. To date not an improvement on 2020 but the year is still young and there are always positives to be found for those who care to see them. Even though Supernatural is over now *muffled sobs* some out there still can't get over their issues with the show or the finalé enough to stop constantly bitching about it. Everyone has their opinion, I'm not 100% happy with it myself but we got so much good stuff that the ending was fitting and mostly positive. I firmly believe that Dean did deserve better, though I was as prepared for his death as much as I could be because it was what I anticipated would happen, though hoped it wouldn’t actually happen. It doesn't make it any less heartbreaking or mean that I don't wish he'd got more time with Sam and Miracle, it just means that I've accepted what we got which ultimately was Sam and Dean together forever, and that's what I wanted above anything else. Almost two months after the show has ended I'm seeing the same things time and time again, some from seasons ago...like six or seven seasons ago! SMH.  I've never actually had my say on it publicly because I chose to step away to process it all. Now I'm bored of the same things being said ad nauseam so I'm laying out my thoughts on the situation as a whole and then getting on with my fandom life.

I have always been - and will always be - a Jensen/Dean girl, however I also adore Jared/Sam and have no interest in seeing any BS about either of them. Why people feel the need to put one down to make 'their' J look 'better', I will never know. Why people question J2's friendship and say it's not going to be solid after the show is also beyond me. It'll certainly be different because they won't be physically spending the time together like they did, but the core relationship is still there, that doesn't just go away because they're not on set together. They're both moving on to other things which is hard to see, but also great as well because they will have new audiences and new showcases for their talents. New doors will be opened and they can explore their passion projects with what lessons they learned on SPN. They gave us so much for fifteen years, the least the fandom can do is let them move on to those new things in peace, right? Let the drama and infighting stay in the past. None of us will ever forget SPN, least of all J2, so anyone who actually cares about the actors and not just characters, IMO, should to continue to support them...but if people don't want to do that? That's fine, nobody is forcing us to watch everything they do from now on. Liking Sam and Dean is enough, not everyone is interested in what J2 or other cast members do from here on out but for the love of everything you hold dear, STFU and move on with your bitching. I'm not saying I'll watch everything they're involved in but I'll support J2 with everything I have regardless of whether I watch whatever it is, because I do care. That also goes for my other favourites from the cast. Support comes in many forms - a simple reblog, retweet or liking an IG post is all support and the minimum those of us who spend a lot of time on social media can do, it's a few taps on the screen or clicks of a mouse. We should also never forget that J2's biggest supporters are J2 themselves, no matter what. They are under no obligation to like each other's posts or publicly support everything the other does - yes, it's nice to see that, however, there is more to life than social media. None of us know how much J2 and the other cast communicate with each other privately. They let us into their lives for a decade and a half, they openly talked about their friendship, their families, and their own children. I know more about J2's kids than I do about any of my colleagues’ kids and grandkids, not because I want to (it's none of my business) but because they've put it out there so it's impossible to avoid. They’re actors, they didn’t have to do that but they chose to because they’re wonderful humans and know that the majority of the SPN Family are good people.

Everywhere I turn ATM there are more and more Jared articles and pictures because of Walker and Mantra Labs, and you know what? Even though I'm a Jensen girl I'm genuinely happy for Jared, and am looking forward to Walker and everything that will bring him. Am I bitter that there's been so little Jensen content? No. Disappointed? Yeah, a little, but that's because I always want Jensen content, why wouldn't I? He's amazing, and his time in the spotlight will come but for now its Jared's turn and I'm proud of how well he's doing, all the attention for Walker and other things going on in his life, like the Men's Health article. He looks so happy and excited to work on new things.

From a Jensen PoV I'm thrilled we've had the - too short but still lovely - snow covered snippets, and we've got all of the filming and BTS stuff to come from The Boys S3, then all the build up to it airing as well as when we finally get to see it. It's going to be a very long wait (and JFC does it already feel like a long wait!), but it will be worth it.

I said last year that 2021 would see changes here in terms of who I follow, what content I post etc and you'll start to see that. I will unfollow anyone who repeatedly posts negative and/or derogatory comments about either J, or any cast member I care about. I don't like seeing shit about those I have no interest in, either, but I make use of filters so I don't see very much anyway. Twitter continues to be a cesspool of hate and toxicity, it's never going to change but the mute/block functions are there to be used. It's never possible to only see positive things in life, but I certainly intend to do my part to make my online fandom experience as positive as possible. I know lots of you here do the same thing, so that's already a bonus! Other fandoms will be on my blog as well as SPN and I always tag so feel free to filter those out, or if you're only interested in my SPN posts and/or fics, hit that unfollow button here if that's what you feel you want to do, and subscribe on AO3 instead if you only want fic. It's all good, do whatever you need to do to tailor your experience to your specifications. Fandom spaces should be somewhere we enjoy being otherwise there's just no point.

What are your answers to those 20 questions? Im planning to add my own answers too (even though nobody asked lol)

I got another ask for some of the numbers but I’m just gonna do this one because it’s all of them.

1) Favorite character? Jonathan, hands down. He’s so underrated. I love him with all my heart.

2) Favorite season? Even though I love Season 1 and the amount of thought that was actually put into the writing, I’m gonna say Season 2 because I really loved that season and a lot of amazing things happened in that season (mostly the Jancy kiss lol but other things too)

3) Favorite scene? Oof that’s a hard one. I really like the exorcism scene from S2 with Joyce, Jonathan, Nancy and Will (Noah Schnapp did amazing, all of the actors in this scene were phenomenal, Winona, Charlie, and Natalia and especially Noah). I also obviously love the Jancy first kiss, and how passionate it is (and scene directly before and morning after scene lol).

4) Favorite 80s song from the album? Even though it was used for Stancy (sigh), I am a sucker for Africa, I’ve loved that song since before Stranger Things. But I also love Should I Stay Or Should I Go and how significant it is to the show.

5) Favorite ship? I think it’s obvious to anyone who’s seen my blog lol, Jancy obviously. And it’s canon so there’s that.

6) Favorite outfit? Oh gosh, literally any of Jonathan’s sweaters cuz he looks so cute in them. I also really liked Joyce’s S3 look, she was a cutie. And I liked Nancy’s dresses in S3, they were cute. I like a lot of the outfits tbh (Max always has cute outfits, and El in S3).

7) Favorite antagonist? Can I say just Hawkins Lab in general? I miss S1 and S2 when you never knew what the Lab was gonna do next, it made for a good antagonist. The Russians didn’t seem all that mysterious tbh.

8) Scoops Troop, Griswold Family, or Eagle’s Nest? Griswold Family for sure! Jancy and the kids will always be superior! I wish they got more screentime, especially after the hospital scene. I also wish the siblings actually acknowledged each other.

9) Who’s your favorite actor? Charlie!! I mean, all of the actors are amazing, but I’m starting to really appreciate Charlie Heaton. For one thing, I love British boys, and for another, I just think he’s a phenomenal actor and he’s really good at showing his emotions. I wish the writers gave him more to work with.

10) Most badass Hawkins lady? Oh dang, that’d have to be a tie between Joyce and Nancy. I just love how Joyce would do anything for her kids, including go into an unknown dimension with the possibility of being Demogorgon lunch. Also, when she punched the mayor, gosh, that was amazing. And Nancy, when she stood in front of the car and just shot at Billy when he was racing towards her, I was so proud (and also scared for Nancy’s life). And “Let’s burn that lab to the ground”, I love her, she’s such a badass.

11) Favorite mom? (By the way person who made the questions, Steve’s not a mom!) I love Joyce! She is the World’s Greatest Mom™️! Sure, she has some problems, but she would literally do anything for her kids and I love that! Also, she’s so chill, like Jonathan had a girl over and she totally knew and didn’t care! My mom would literally kill me lol. I love Joyce.

12) Saddest scene? Oh gosh that’s hard. Bob dying was really sad to me, but I actually genuinely cried at the S3 ending. Not because of Hopper’s letter but because the Byers are moving! Like I get why but it’s still so sad seeing everyone say goodbye to each other, like come on Joyce, look how sad they all are :(

13) Any merch? So, because I’m fairly new to this fandom, I don’t have much. I seriously watched the whole show for the first time in April because quarantine and my friend wanted me to watch it, so I did, I’ve binged it at least 4 times though already during quarantine. However, since I recently graduated from high school and was given a lot of graduation money that I had no idea what to spend on (yes, I set some aside for college), I bought some merch. I bought a S3 poster from Walmart. I bought a Steve Funko online. For my birthday, which was in June, my friend gave me a Scoops Ahoy shirt and pin. My boyfriend gave me a Robin Funko (he said he was gonna get me Jonathan but they didn’t have anymore of his 1 single Funko, rip). And then my sister and I went to Hot Topic and I got two shirts, one that just has the Stranger Things logo and the other has the Griswold Family on it (seriously, I saw Nancy and Jonathan on it and I screamed). That’s it. Oh, and then my sister gave me some Stranger Things decals for my birthday which I put on my laptop. And then my sister’s friend gave me a sticker with Robin on it, and that’s on the back of my phone. That’s it. That’s all the merch.

14) Favorite line? I’m sorry but my favorite line will forever be, “So, Jonathan, how was the pull-out?”. That line is literally the most clever innuendo I have ever heard. And I love Jonathan’s reaction to it. And Nancy’s little smirk. I may be pretty innocent, but I understood that line the second I heard it. And I love that it’s for Jancy. If it was for any other couple, I might not have laughed as hard as I did, but it was still hilarious, imo.

15) Contributed to the fandom? Again, I’m pretty new to the fandom. I did write a fanfic, but it never got posted because my computer decided to delete it for some reason. I’m not good at art, so no on that. I did make a Tik Tok though. You can check it out, my name is @camree_nicole. The Tik Tok literally blew up (like seriously most of my videos only get like 20 likes by my irl friends, but this one got 12K likes, it was crazy!), like I gained a lot of Stranger Things fan page followers. What was the Tik Tok? I literally made it because I was procrastinating my online school (back when I was still doing that) and it’s literally about how whenever I’m binging Stranger Things and get to S2:E6, I get really excited and I showed the scene of Nancy and Jonathan about to kiss. I got a lot of comments like “Yesss I was so happy!” and stuff like that and it made me really happy lol.

16) Favorite fan theory? Idk, there’s some pretty crazy theories out there. I don’t really look at many theories, I just like seeing what some people theorize for S4. I especially like @unpredictablybittersweet’s S4 theories here on Tumblr. And GemmaStones on Reddit has some theories I really like too.

17) Favorite filming location? The Byers house!! I’m gonna miss that place :’( Lots of iconic stuff has happened there. Still bitter we didn’t get much of it in S3.

18) Read any books or comics? Again, I’m pretty new, so no I have not. I’ve heard what happens in some of them online though.

19) Favorite duo? My fave duo will forever be Nancy and Jonathan. Whether it’s platonic or romantic, when they get together they do some pretty badass things.

20) Favorite behind the scenes photo? The picture in my profile pic I believe is a BTS photo. It’s also my lock screen rn.

It’s recap of the end of the year party time (with pics)! under the cut because I ramble a lot as usual. 

First they gave us SKAM France pillows when we got there so we could sit as comfortably as possible on the floor of the venue. There were about 400 people and it was a tight fit! While we were waiting, they played songs from s3 and 4, everyone was already getting emotional.

The afternoon started with speeches from the execs and David as usual before getting the cast on stage - Assa, Coline, Lula, Maxence, Philippine, Théo, Léo, Robin, Gigi, Moussa, Edouard, Aliénor and later Laïs who was late - and then they showed us a tribute video with iconic scenes of season 3 and 4, in which they included tweets and fanarts by the fans, like testimonies, reactions, etc, everyone was a mess of tears after that.

Then David asked every member of the cast how had their lives changed because of Skam. I filmed this part, link to the video is in the source at the bottom of this post. David hadn’t warned them they would have to answer that question so they weren’t prepared and many got emotional - poor Maxence who went first was a mess. Niels finally got here so he was asked the same question, Antonio too and David answered his own question. A lot of thank yous were exchanged and I’m sorry not sorry about my sniffling in the background of the video but I can’t see people cry and not cry too. The overall message was that they are all proud of what they have done because they can see what an impact the series had just by seeing us in front of them half crying half smiling, as well as with the overwhelming amount of messages they’ve been receiving for months. I really loved what David said about refusing programs that don’t show diversity, that we should stand our ground on this and say no to programs with only white characters or straight couples. That they told one story, but we can and should tell all the others.

Then the crew was called on stage, Jérémy and the editing team to talk a bit, before they showed us the bloopers. That’s when I stopped filming, the room was in the dark anyway and you all saw the bloopers on Youtube by now. Assa tried to leave the stage completely and hide ahah. The cast hadn’t seen them before and there must have been some inside jokes going on because they would laugh WAY LOUDER than us at some stuff. Maxence got so shy about the “I’m ticklish Daviiid” part while everyone was so fond :’) there were a few fond headshakes at Axel’s laughing too.

Then we played a game, a fan would go against one member of the cast and the first to answer the question would win the point. The questions were about the 4 seasons and David called actors who weren’t necessarily in the season just to check if they had paid attention / watched it at all but we DESTROYED THEM. We won so easily, it was hilarious. They got 4 questions right first. The questions ranged from who was Emma dressed as at the halloween party in s1 to what day and exact time did the trailer for s3 dropped. Theo is the worst loser in history, Lula is SO COMPETITIVE, Moussa tried to intimidate the fan that went against him and Coline tried to take her mic, while Niels got his question right and literally jumped in the air, he scared me sdfghjklkj. I was really into it so I didn’t film. But here are a few pics - I haven’t posted them anywhere else so DO NOT repost them. Please.

Then there was a little Q&A, questions were about if they had watched other remakes, why is Arthur’s ig on private and Maxence’s role in The House Of Gaunt - can’t believe there’s going to be a screening at the Grand Rex, I’m so fucking proud, this is HUGE!!!! I filmed parts of this too but not everything because it was questions we had heard before.

We took a lil break to drink and get a bit of fresh air after that before coming back inside. Laïs and Assa were on stage in the dark - keep in my mind we hadn’t seen Laïs before then so we were like ???? IS THAT LAIS?? When did he get here, what’s happening? - and they danced. Beautiful, adorable, show stopping, spectacular, emotional, out of this world. David teased Laïs for being late and asked him the same question about how Skam changed his life or not. I filmed all that. 

David then called a fan on stage to share her story. Skam France saved her life. Really. It was extremely emotional. She was so strong, despite shaking so bad. We kept asking that they gave her a hug but David, Niels, Assa and Laïs who were on stage said they would hug her only once she was done talking. They wanted to let her say everything she had to say. Lots, lots of tears then. Niels took Assa under his arm because she was trying hard to keep it together for the fan’s sake. They gave her the biggest, tightest hug when she was done. I didn’t film because it was almost too personal, y’know? Sure she went on stage but her story still feels private, so I felt wrong about filming. I took a few pics though.

Then there was the concert! Coline was singing and playing the piano and guitar, while Léo and Edouard were playing the guitar and the bass. Lula and Gigi joined for the harmonies during Get Lucky and Remember. They sang Get Lucky by the Daft Punk, Fête de Trop by Eddy de Pretto (featured in s3), Unknown by Jacob Banks (featured in s4), Remember by Seinabo Sey and Jacob Banks (featured in s3) and an original song called Menthe à l’eau inspired by Demi Lovato’s overdose (Coline is a big fan). Most of the cast was standing/kneeling to the side of stage to watch and then you had Maxence right in the middle of the fans, hyping the crowd and jumping around. I didn’t film more than my ig stories because my hands were shaking too much but I’ve posted a few pics before, have some again

And then came the last goodbyes with everyone on stage, including cast and crew and I filmed all that. We were all holding our breaths for a potential announcement but they only said thank you, we love you, we’ll be in touch. I could barely hold my camera. And then Zina by Babylone, the music from the last clip of s4 started playing and Coline melted into Maxence arms crying, Assa was holding back tears, they all started hugging and then leaving the stage one by one, the lights went up and we all looked at each others like…  so this is it uh. We were not fairing very well, let me tell you. Fans were hugging and drying each other’s tears, I was hugged so tight by people I didn’t even know two months ago and it was just… It was a lot of love. So much love.

Before going outside, they gave us a poster signed by the cast. I stayed in the lobby a bit to look at the BTS pictures I posted before. There was a stand thingy where we could take pics with the Skam Logo and quotes. Maxence saw fans were taking pics there and just jumped in the middle to photobomb them azedfghjk 

We then went outside to talk with the cast and crew for a while but the security whisked them away quite quickly so we didn’t have that much time. We had maybe 30 minutes outside with everyone. I went around to take pics and thank them a last time. I’ve posted most of those already.

Niels, David, Jérémy, Coline, Robin, Moussa and Gigi stayed longer, I don’t know why the security didn’t asked them to leave. I had a chat with Jérémy that I want to share because it really struck me. He was wondering if it was true that Skam France was the only remake that does this kind of event. He was so surprised, because and I quote “but how can we not give back just a little bit when you give us so much? I’m just the editor, and you’re here talking with me.” According to him, it’s a feeling shared by everyone in the cast and crew, no matter their role on the show, fans are always happy to see them and talk and ask questions, and they are deeply appreciative of that. Not just the actor, but the crew too. He was extremely grateful and appreciative. And I loved that, because it’s so true, they don’t have to. I’m not saying they other remakes should do this. I’m seeing that I’m baffled the Skam France team considers this normal. They didn’t have to do all this, the screenings, the party. It was for us. Because they don’t know how to thank us.

I took the bus home while holding the pillow they gave us against my chest, not a care in the wolrd about who would see me. I was completely emotionally drained, but happy, and thankful for this amazing cast and crew, all the love that kept pouring out of everywhere during the afternoon. They gave us so much. I saw people on Tumblr and Twitter who were disappointed that they weren’t announcements or more bts content but… this was a party for the fans, a way to celebrate the success of seasons 3 and 4, the only way they found to tell us thank you. It wasn’t a press conference. It was magical. So many smiles. So much laughter. Such tight hugs. It was way more than enough for me.

I am not a woman of my word, I tell ya what

So I started watching s6 after all. Well, parts of it...

Anyway I thought I’d just post my thoughts like I normally do for the rewatches. Although there are not many thoughts at all.

When I started watching, I was like wow. It’s good to not really feel invested in this at all because s6 is so pointless and also didn’t happen. But then Darren’s acting in That Scene blew me away, and Kurt’s breakdown in the bathroom- tears. Well not tears but something. ...A little something. 

I’m sure someone’s already made this meta connection but Kurt telling Rachel about how he was the only one who showed up to their spot reminded me of s3 when Kurt’s the one who convinces Blaine to go to glee practice and they meet up with Artcedes and everyone comes in after that and they’re all together. 

But also Artie is just... in film school, still. So he’s there. Ah well guess he didn’t feel like going out in the rain 

At one point Sue refers to Kurt as “Middlesex” which is, surprise, another jab at his gender presentation and sexuality. Oh and she says he smells like a nursing home. Just a fun little taste of the oh so hilarious insults to come :)

Although even Jane sounded tired of what she was saying. Her voice was just so calm and chill. Not the usual crazy rage of a Sue insult tornado 

Let It Go is actually a really good song for Rachel to sing at this point in her life. It’s very fitting. I mean I left the episode playing while I went to the bathroom, but it sounded really good from down the hall.

I love Mercedes’s verbal smack down of the Tea Party people. And Tina’s one line outburst. But the funniest part is still Sam running into Quinn and her laughing like that. Unscripted moments > scripted moments on this show any day

Speaking of which. You know how someone edited the cartoon Hunchback of Notre Dame movie to completely remove the gargoyles to make it less wAcKy? Anyway someone make an edit like that for Glee where you just take out all Brittany lines 

Anyway more importantly, Unholy Trinity hot. Me gay 

All of the songs in this one are so fun, and I love the new characters, and the fact that Kitty is back. Am I actually warming up to s6?? Weird... 

I love when Blaine gets angry. I mean people already demonize him for having any emotions or feelings in the first place so he might as well be angry. No one can do anything about it 

Homecoming has great new characters, amazing songs, even made me laugh a few times. Normally when I think s6, I think Santana’s awful rant, the crazy Klaine locker, Myron, Dalton fucking burning down for no reason??? But hey parts of it aren’t so bad. I’m making progress

I love how you can tell that some of those pictures on Blaine’s phone are Chris and not Kurt. Probably some bts pics, which I love, because one of my pet peeves is when they use promo pics/stills for actual photos lol

God Santana literally reads as psychotic here. Kurt barely even said anything bad and she looks like the fucking Kill Bill sirens are going off ffs. I reeeally hate her this episode oh my god. It makes me hate all of s6 

Also can we please stop pretending like Brittany is a math genius. I’m over it. I’m tired. I’m tired of Brittany full stop. She’s the worst 

Tv writers have a straight guy and girl know each other for one minute and like make eye contact and expect viewers to be falling over themselves invested in this couple (Finchel) and I’m like ...yawn. But also Jane and Mason have one duet together and I’m like 💖💜💕💞💝🥰💖💜💕💞💝🥰💖

Sooo all in all of 6x01 I watched maybe... 15 minutes of it. Basically any scene with Kurt or Blaine in it (except them watching Rachel’s pilot, or the Warblers number) and also watched the Sam/Rachel stuff. Everything else? Fast the hell forward. 

6x02 I watched almost all of. Just skipped some Sue stuff. 

I was ready to only skip through That Scene in 6x03 but I remembered all that Becky crap so I skipped most of that. Probably ended up watching about half an hour all together, so the majority of the episode. I consider that a win. 

Overall, Homecoming is the only one I actually really loved. Gotta move it waaay up on my Glee ranking list lol

Any idea as to what could be the positive development in Jancy’s relationship in episode 6 of s3? Obviously there’s got to be one this time around too. At first I thought it’d be their first I-love-you’s, but now with the theory about the Byers moving away, I think it could be something bigger and related to that (in a positive way).

I mean it’s not obvious lmao just because ep6 of s1 and s2 was epic for Jancy doesn’t mean it has to be in s3 too, they’re not structuring the season around that I think, but yes they could keep up the tradition. I mean could be I love you’s, I think either them saying it for the first time will happen during the season, or they’ve already said it for the first time in the gap between seasons and so just say it all the time lmao. I think I’d actually would prefer the latter. And idk about the moving thing seems Jancy surely is occupied with other things during the season. But for what could happen in ep 6, lets look at the episode titles:

1 - Suzie, Do You Copy?

2 - The Mall Rats

3 - The Case of the Missing Life Guard

4 - The Sauna Test

5 - The Source

6 - The Birthday

7 - The Bite

8 - The Battle of Starcourt

Ep 1 and 2 will set up the season and kick the plot into gear. Theeeeen it gets really interesting. Ep 2 def has a double meaning of both the kids being “mall rats” and the actual rats. I wonder how the rats will figure, to me the first association is plague, infections, disease spreading which uh yeah, ties in to stuff… I wonder who the fuck Suzie in ep 1 is. Ep 3 obviously sounds like it has to do with Heather’s disappearance and the mystery around it I think is something Jancy gets involved in as they over the season investigate… something. Ep4 The Sauna Test makes me think of The Thing, a source of inspo for s3, there’s a famous scene in the movie where they using a hot wire tests blood samples to see who’s infected by the virus. I def think Jancy are the ones who first are onto that there’s a virus spreading and maybe it reacts to heat in some way which they discover and test (sauna -> the pool where a lot of shit goes down). Then Ep 5 The Source ofc sounds like to do with the virus too. Ep6 The Birthday I think has a double meaning, I think it’ll definitely be 4th July ie USAs birthday in this episode and then maybe some character’s birthday too or whatever. Ep 7 The Bite uh also makes me think of the virus spreading ofc and then ep 8 is self explanatory.

So what’s interesting to me is that I think you can see a clear connection between in the titles of ep 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 AT LEAST to be connected and it looks to me Jancy is very involved in the plotlines I think it references. I think they start their investigation early in the season then in the middle shit hits the fan and they link up with the kids who’s been doing their own thing and they work together. But it’s hard to tell what from the trailer could be from which episode, except that the Mayor with the 4th July celebration and carnival thing is ep 6 The Birthday, but we don’t know what Jancy is doing then, are the hospital scenes in ep 6? Or before? I think their around there. Think at least ep 7-8 is mostly based in the mall. You can try to map out some sort of timeline by the outfits, Nancy in the pink shirt and Jonathan in the brown shirt is at Bradley’s Big Buy with the kids getting supplies we know from BTS pics, and they’re still in those outfits at the mall then. Before that in the trailer we see Nancy in the purple dress and Jonathan in shirt and tie at the Hawkins Post then Nancy still in the dress but Jonathan in casual clothes when they’re with the kids in the house and when Jancy is in the hospital, and BTS pics showed them filming scenes outside with the kids in those outfits too. I think they’re in those clothes somewhere in the middle of the season when they link up with the kids and go to the hospital.

According to IMDb the person who works as stunt double for both Natalia and Millie is working in ep 5 and 6, but we don’t know if it means a stunt involving El or involving Nancy. She’s also listed in ep 7 but then only as Millie’s stunt double idk if that’s an oversight by IMDb or what. Ep 7 is also when Charlie has a stunt double. And I think the scenes of Jancy as well as Jake Busey in the hospital is from ep 5 because Bruce looks to be uh VERY infected in that shot and it’s Busey’s last episode, he stopped filming after and isn’t listed in subsequent episodes. So obviously some serious shit goes down in the hospital, in ep 5 to my belief then. So then ep 6 I don’t know, may very well (most likely even) be so that we didn’t see any Jancy ep 6 scenes in the trailer maybe because of their hugeness…

The Jopper timeline is going to be hard to figure out bc I feel like we've seen so little of them so far, both in the trailer and the set photos. Fortunately David took pity on us and dropped a spoiler in that photo he posted (it says ep 6 and all his scene numbers right on the bottom lol), but it does seem like Hopper'll be wearing that outfit for most of the season. If it's not that one then he'll probably just be in his uniform. And I think Joyce's outfit is the only one we've seen her in.

Yeah lol and considering it LOOKS like the photo is supposed to be a reference photo for the makeup department over his cut on his head, then we can also estimate around when he got the cut. With Hop it’s always been hard to predict timeline stuff with him bc he always has so few actual outfits each season outside of his uniform. Rn we rlly only know of this one, and then the tan w/ stripes jacket he was wearing in the bts shots of the Netflix Spotlight vid for him. I think most likely what happened was just that David and Winona filmed maybe one scene from a later episode early for whatever reason. Maybe there was a set they only had for a limited time or smth, idk. Hell, that same day they were spotted with Dacre right? And he had a makeup scar on his cheek there, which we haven’t seen him with at any other shots of Billy in s3, so maybe the same went for him and Billy actually gets hurt later in the season but for whatever reason he was just filming that scene early on. Or again, Hop and Joyce may just be rewearing the same outfits twice in one season. They were also with the guy who plays Kline right? And from what little we see of the background in those set pics, it LOOKS like they’re at the same location that the exterior of the town hall shots were filmed. And based on this pic

I already kinda figured that was taking place inside his office. So maybe for whatever reason Hop and Joyce go talk to Kline before the carnival, and they decided to film the scene early on in the season bc maybe they only had the town hall set temporarily.
