disclaimer: i don’t know much about dsmp! a lot of what i know is from like. random streams and summary videos and also SAD-ist’s animations (WHICH ARE GOD TIER THIS WOMAN REALLY MADE THIS DUMBASS MINECRAFT ROLEPLAY INTO A CINEMATIC UNIVERSE)

anyway from what i know!! c!wilbur was the guy who founded l’manberg w c!tommy (and other people? idk) and they wanted independence from the dream smp. they got into a war w c!dream over this because he... said no? because countries weren’t necessary? i think? that’s what happened?

iirc they got their independence because despite losing c!tommy offered to give c!dream his most prized possessions: these two music discs that c!tommy and c!tubbo fought w c!dream over, and like c!dream wanted the discs because it meant he could maintain some level of control over c!tommy so he said yes

fast forward to the first l’manberg election, wilbur decided to run as president to prove that l’manberg was a democratic country n not a dictatorship but his plan was to make himself the only candidate so he could still rule over the country. to his shock, c!quackity decided to run w c!george as his vice president. they called their party SWAG2020 which is an acronym. i can’t remember what it stands for. c!wilbur and c!tommy called their party POG2020. i also do not remember what it stands for. this was all very funny but also stupid which is where i thrive.

anyway! fast forward to the election day. irl george sleeps through the entire stream so c!george doesn’t show up. c!quackity is left alone so he forms a coalition w c!schlatt who randomly decided to enter as a candidate. their plan was to pool their votes in the hopes of defeating POG2020 together. and it worked. they won. c!schlatt became president and renamed the country to MANberg. he also banished c!wilbur and c!tommy

leading to like. a rebellion? idk they called themselves pogtopia. anyway uh i don’t remember what’s fully relevant but basically something something something c!wilbur decided to BLOW UP L��MANBERG. because like. the whole. “if i can’t have it no one can” thing and he was like losing it i guess anyway he blows it all up and then tells his like. canonical father. c!philza? idk. some dude who’s apparently his dad. he asks him to kill him and he does

yes i had to tell u all this JUST to get to who the fuck ghostbur is. he’s the ghost of c!wilbur JFJDJDJ and like he doesn’t really remember what alivebur (YEAH. IKR) did so c!tommy can’t really be that mad at him? and he like misses c!wilbur despite hating what he did so his relationship w ghostbur is. afaik amicable

anyway will c!wilbur canonically return from the dead? to tell u that i have to tell u about c!dream. they sent the guy to prison for being evil n manipulative, the only reason he wasn’t killed is because he said he had a book that c!schlatt gave him that can bring people back to life. like c!wilbur. which is what c!tommy wanted at first. but after getting stuck in prison w c!dream due to security issues, he expresses that he doesn’t even believe c!dream can bring people back to life, and that they should just kill c!dream. so c!dream proves it by killing c!tommy w a potato and c!tommy spends some time in the afterlife w c!wilbur. a lot of time, because time in the afterlife is MUCH longer than in the canon world, c!dream brought c!tommy back after 2 days, but c!tommy spent like 1.5-2 months there. and he becomes very scared and begs c!dream to NEVER bring c!wilbur back because i think he wants to do some messed up shit? idk

c!dream doesn’t care. he tells c!tommy that he’ll bring c!wilbur back if he feels like it, he might even get c!wilbur to help him break out of prison. he said something along the lines of what did c!wilbur even do wrong? blow up l’manberg? i did that like twice (which. JDJSJDJDJ) anyway i am excited for when c!dream breaks out of prison/how that’s gonna go down and if c!wilbur will get revived
