During the events of Sonic Prime Season 1, you were always hanging out with Neo Metal Sonic since you were dating him

But you often engaged with your Dad’s, Dr Eggman’s battles with Sonic and his friends

Until Sonic was going near the shards, you somehow accidentally slipped in and Neo Metal Sonic immediately went in to swoop in to save you

But it was too late as you two were knocked in the Shatterverse and landed in a new world

Neo Metal Sonic still held you in his arms to make sure you weren’t hurt, even if you were fine

You two decided to take a look around and see that everyone looks like what your Dad would make

You even see mobians looking all sad and gloomy, you and Neo Metal Sonic shapeshifted into organic disguises with Mobian forms

But a group noticed you two, knowing you two are definitely not from here

Then you and Neo have been captured by… the Chaos Council

But noticed and was shock to find out Neo was actually a robot and you were human

Always gathered information from you and their memories that you are their daughter

Now this is was very interesting

Mr. Dr Eggman already treated you like your his daughter which he isn’t wrong, showing you the wonders of New Yoke City and the controls here

He is too also impressed by Neo Metal Sonic with his abilities and skills, definitely approves your guys relationship

Dr Done-It doesn’t like young people (literally says in his wiki) but he definitely loves and treats you as his grandchild, always tells you his glorious moments and his wonderful ideas

Like Mr. Dr Eggman, impressed by Neo Metal Sonic with too his abilities, suggests that Neo can become bigger, also he approves of your guys relationship

Dr Don’t is interested in you and treats you like his sister, he allows you to play video games on his device and tells you everything about it

He was fascinated by Neo Metal Sonic too, also approves your guys relationship

Dr Deep was like that weird uncle towards you, always having you engaged in Yoga and showing off his skills

Dr Deep suggested giving Neo Metal Sonic laser eyes, aside from that approves your guys relationship

Dr Babble… he was something, but he seemed to be interested in you and starts babbling about… something, you and Neo had no idea what he was talking about

He took a liking towards you though and approves your relationship with Neo

Neo feels weirded out by the amount of Eggman’s in one room but pushed through for you

Overall, the Chaos Council is surprised to have someone like you but took a liking and welcomed you to the family

And with Neo he still loves you regardless of how weird this is

The post where I do vague cultural worldbuilding headcanons for Sonic characters??

Sonic and Knuckles are mountain man bros in the sense that they both grew up in the wild raised by animals. They dunk themselves in a river, call themselves clean, and then fistbump about it. They eat fruit right off bushes. Knuckles can find you a damn good tuber in a pinch and Sonic would be able to snatch you a worm if you really wanted it. Knuckles finds it difficult to pick up on mainstream cultural customs but Sonic's always found it easy now that he's older.

Tails and Amy, meanwhile, grew up in towns. These towns had a definite human influence, hence their possession of first and last names, but they still grew up in a Mobian in-group of sorts. They know proper fur/quill care, feel that it's gender non-conforming for a boy to wear clothes and a girl to go without them, and are adept at reading ear/tail gestures. Tails was never really one for any small-town slang but Amy still uses more rural phrasing even now that she lives in a larger city.

Rouge grew up in a large city, so she's more well-versed in cultures other than her own. She's adopted some human rituals because she thinks they're fun, like face masks and shaving some of her body fur. She loves exploring human cuisines because they're "exotic" to her while Mobian cuisine are comfort foods. She's fluent in several different kinds of slang along with the gestures/manners of the different cultures.

Shadow was raised by humans. His mannerisms are unmistakably human. From wearing human-sized shirts around the house, to having a taste for "human" comfort foods, to being completely unable to read ear/tail gestures in conversation, any Mobian is able to peg him as an outsider pretty quickly. While he's absolutely embraced proper quill care, Rouge had to first point out to him that he was doing it wrong- using human shampoo is not going to cut it, hun.

Omega is. . . weird. For the most part, he's predictably alien: what few social customs he's bothered to learn he has to have observed first. Rouge has been a helpful educator on the rare occasion he gives a shit, usually in regards to slang translation to add to his dictionary. He's almost more like Knuckles in the sense that he was isolated and now he's playing catchup. Sometimes, sometimes, though, the assumptions Omega makes will lean more towards human biases. Anyone who values their life knows not to ever point that out to him.

Metal Sonic reads like a robot imitating a human imitating a Mobian. Yes, he can imitate Sonic's gestures, but it's the movement in between that's uncanny. The physicality of his limbs. The weight of each step in his out-of-combat walk cycle. It screams "human". Most of his cultural knowledge, the little that he has, comes from observing Eggman's daily routine. But Eggman is just one human, and an isolated and eccentric one at that. Metal Sonic could recognize a refrigerator but not a washing machine, could recognize a plate and fork but not any other kitchen cookware. His knowledge is piecemeal. His imitations are incomplete. He was designed for combat, nothing more. His unconscious attempts to fill in the gaps are illogical, aren't they?

Silver is permanently locked into a culture called "survival mode". That's a joke, but only mostly. His behaviors more closely match that of someone growing up in extreme poverty. He can't stand to throw stuff away and he has a hypervigilance about danger that someone who grew up in a "bad neighborhood" would understand. Not to mention that any cultural values he has learned are a few hundred years out of date, so his guesses at any customs tend to be slightly off.

Blaze is from a different dimension, which basically reads as just a different culture than the one that's prominent where most of Sonic's friends reside! She actually gets a kick out of sharing her customs and comparing them to everyone else's. She's also from an extremely privileged walk of life, though, and it definitely shows no matter how much research she does to try and be less ignorant about how "normal" life works.

Maybe it's ooc because I've never watched Sonic Prime…

My requests are open.

It was horrible, the smell of rubbish and the air heavy with pollution made your throat hurt. It was impossible to breathe properly without your body thinking you were drowning in tar. It took you a while to breathe properly and get used to it.

You can't remember what happened before, but all you know is that you're no longer in your own world. Everything is metal, walls and floors. The sky green and yellow, the clouds earthy with no sun on the horizon. You couldn't see much in this alleyway. But the little you could see frightened you. A metallic clang snaps you out of your trance, noticing that your friend Neo is struggling with the rubbish. He pulls his hand out of the bin bags so that you can take it and help him.

‘I'm sorry, Neo, I was in my thoughts,’ you confessed as you helped him to get up and clear the rubbish from his metal body. A stain of dirt persists on his cape at the hip.

‘It's nothing,’ he replies.

‘Neo,’ you release in a breath as you look around, “I don't know where we are,” you say, looking at him worriedly.’

Neo didn't answer you, but made sounds of deep thought before answering. ‘I don't think we're home any more,’ he paused briefly to recall the events. I think Sonic and his friends broke the paradox prism, which created a path between the universes, but our relationship with this place is still unknown to me.’

You weren't any more reassured by these words. But now something is coming back to you. Sonic's questions about destroying the paradox prism. You understand now. To say you were worried about this austere world was an understatement. But Neo gives you a gentle pat on the shoulder, as he used to do.‘Don't worry, love, we'll come home.’ You could hear the gentle tone in her voice. As your relationship has progressed, Neo, it's become accustomed to a certain gentleness. You've shown her the meaning of a true loving relationship. And not a relationship where both parties want something in particular.

Neo glanced outside your alley to see a sinister sight. People with empty, pale eyes. Staring at the ground, as if terrified to look up. They were on some kind of conveyor belt, and it was as if he was looking at Eggman's robot factory.

He returned to your side, using his ability to disguise himself. Here, he certainly didn't need to assume someone else's identity to be able to walk around. So he camouflaged himself with his own identity, hiding only his robotic appearance. Then he handed you a circular object that you know all too well. A creation of your father's so that you could disguise yourself. You took it and placed it on the centre of your ribcage. Pressing the red button, you took on your Mobian form.

Neo is the first to leave the alley, already knowing where to go. You can see him moving forward, pushing the residents to get onto the conveyor belt. You remained dazed by the appearance of the buildings and the lack of soul in the inhabitants. You couldn't believe that this used to be Green Hills. You who had always known a green paradise. Now it's all so sad. Even though you know this world doesn't belong to you. You can't help but feel a twinge of sadness.

Although things aren't much better at home. You've been disowned by your father for your friendship with Sonic. And banished for having a romantic relationship with Neo. Although Sonic still considers you his friend, you can't see him any more without Neo getting angry. So you decide to live your life away from everyone as an outcast for love.

Once again Neo pulls you out of your thoughts and brings you closer to him. It was unimaginable what was happening in front of you. A gigantic building rose up in front of you. A golden egg. That's all you could compare it to.But then something even more striking happens. Your father's logo takes centre stage. You realise your connection to this world. Neo notices the fear on your face. He knows this reaction all too well. He once loved her so much. Now he doesn't want to see it again, especially not on your face.

You can feel fingers caressing your hand, a soft, discreet, hidden caress. With your fingers, you lace his fingers into your hand. Although his disguise might make you think he's a mobian, you can feel the coldness of death when you touch him.

‘These two are strange, don't you think?’ asked one of the five sitting in their respective seats.

‘I've never seen them before,’ said another.

‘Then bring them here, said the oldest man’

You could hear a buzzing sound above your head. You had thought of something like a bee, but doubted there was any sign of vegetation. This assumption was quickly cut short when you saw a yellow and red drone above your head.

Quickly realising what was about to happen, Neo pulls you by the arm, pulling you off the mat. His walking speed had increased as he tried to find a place to hide. Your escape was short-lived as large yellow robots surrounded you. Neo pushed you behind him to protect you. Already preparing for battle. But Neo's ability to fight without copying someone is limited.

‘Neo,’ you cried as a robot picked you up.’

Neo's world turns to emptiness, his spark is in danger. He didn't know what was happening in his body, but no more strength was reaching his legs. In his moment of vulnerability, Neo was caught by one of the robots at his back. Using his foot, the robot immobilised him. Don't struggle so I can catch you and save you. Hurling insults at the robots.

A glass wall, a blinding white light, that's what Neo hates when he doesn't have his spark near him. He didn't let go of his effort, to free himself from this cage. He hits hard on the glass walls, the more the man resembling Eggman laughs, the harder Neo hits. With tenfold strength. He who had always known lovely ladies who used him for their own lust. Wealth, power, and revenge. On the tip of his tongue, he could feel the word "love" in its own logic. He could tell you so, with affirmation. But he'd never make you too proud for it.

You were like him, caged against your will. Reminds you of your years with your father. Though they weren't quite him, maybe they were the same? That they are all the same.

You had gathered your knees to your chest and hugged them tightly. Your disguise device has since been destroyed. Not answering their question. Ignoring them, which frustrates them.

"Allow me to introduce ourselves. We are the Chaos Council, the rulers of this magnificent city," he said with such confidence.

No response from you. Then you heard an old man speaking. You didn't understand much, being in your thoughts. Something related to your memories. A giant metal ring hovered above you.You feel your body rise off the ground, a cry of surprise erupts from your lips. A magnetic force surrounds your wrists, keeping you within the circle. The window rises, and you step through it, standing in front of these five people.

"Well then, you don't want to talk, your memories will speak for you."

A screen descends from the ceiling to position itself behind you. Then a series of your memories come to them. Your arrival here, your discussion with Sonic about the Paradox Prism. Then something more personal. An event with your father in one of those old labs.

"Why are you so angry with me! You shout, a hint of sadness in your voice.

"Couldn't you choose someone else? Not like this Sonic, not like MY robot," he said, raising his voice furiously.

"Who would you have preferred, Dad?" you ask, cracking up, losing this battle.

This memory hurt your heart; it has been healed for a long time now. No more emotions for this memory.

But the next one he found was you losing every closed facet.

We can see you near the floor, in a large laboratory, your father sitting in his chair working at his desk. We can't see much; it's too dark for that.

"Dad, look what I've done," you said proudly, showing the object you created with your own hands. Your father turned around, pointing at the big bad Robotnik in the middle of the screen. The five of them were a little taken aback. A tear rolled down your cheek, earning laughter from the others."Daddy is very proud of his daughter, one day you'll be like your mommy and daddy." A female voice in the background rises up, "Sweetheart, stop bothering your father." The last memory of your mother alive. They didn't say anything again, not even laugh. Did they know a woman? No, of course not.

The circle lets go of you, falling to the ground. Your knees and left cheek ache. You look up to see them muttering under their breaths. Then one of them asks.

"Why were you banished from your home?"

"To love the man I love, the man you keep in a cage. And the man who isn't a man," you admitted sadly.

After explaining your entire story to the Chaos Council, they made the decision to keep you here. And to accept your love with the person you love. On the condition that Neo is the general of the robots.

Author note: I am not really confident idk what I am doing in this but I tried my best.

Family bond

It's been a few weeks or maybe a few months since my father doctor robotnick shattered the paradox prism. me and neo have been careful to hide from the doctors after realizing what happened to new yoke it's best not to confront any variants of my father... Not after I've made the bold decision to date what he calls 'his finest creations'.

Neo metal sonic and I have been exploring new Yoke for a while ever since we finally found a safe space to stay, we quickly learnt the pattern to my dad's crazy robots that rampage through the day so it's pretty safe for us to just go out in disguises, that's how its been up until today, I was sure the disguises were full proof barely any hints to give us away the slight suspension on the robots that were sent after us, but when sonic the hedgehog finally got here setting off alarms and getting me caught up in his messes again.

I couldn't remember anything after getting trapped, no clue where neo is or what they would do to him if they found out he was a robot, and I couldn't care less about sonic.. It felt like every 10 minutes I was brought to the councils base to be questioned none stop never replying to a single one frustrated them to the bone my father's variants could never agree on a fitting punishment and all the punishments they planned sounds like something straight out a nightmare I can't think of any way out of this situation.

"the council has finally decided if you won't willingly tell us what your up to and why your conspiring with that hedgehog then we'll just force the information out of you" the egg man variant with a red jumpsuit resemblance to a racers suit and a star for a zipper spoke up acting as the leader for this debate words filled with what I can only describe as hatred disgust and joy at the idea of forcing his way to an answer.

With just a snap of his fingers signalling 4 robots to go fetch something but only 2 returned with a device in hand, the doctor eerie smirk only grew as he held it in his arms the council all snickering to themselves as he took slow steps leaving me with the agonizing thoughts of what could happen to me if that device is put on.

It wouldn't take long for me to find out the answer as I feel my weight shift through the shackles, my head getting heavy nearly tumbling me over. The pain was just as unbearable as I thought shrieks of pain couldn't be helped but spilled out my mouth as they searched through my memories every good and bad thing that happened till now, every fight I've had with my father, every confrontation with sonic and his friends, every moment spent with neo metal sonic.

There loud snickers turned into shocked gasp at the new information of me being there daughter not moments later that the 2 other robots came back with a half dismantled metal sonic, the excruciating pain making it hard to lift my head but seeing that he wasn't destroyed was enough to put my mind at little ease.

"What took you so long, can't a guy find good help around here!" The oldest of the council spoke up in a harsh tone sliding his chair over to the robots "you fix him up and don't keep us waiting" he continued pointing to another robot and with quick mechanical steps they were gone with neo again leaving me with nothing but worry again.

As they turned back to their only daughter mixed faces of confusion, maybe disgust, or unwillingness to believe those memories. Each one of them had a different expression turning around to bicker one final time before my fate was sealed.

Nothing in the world could have prepared me for the aching pain and thumping of my heart as they turned back to me, who was silently on the ground chained, nothing could have prepared me for the familiar warmth of my father, the original eggman that made them collectively agree on the fact I am their daughter.

It didn't take long for them to untie me and shower me with affection until they had to make a say about neo, last I talked to my father about this we didn't leave things on good terms, maybe it was the fact they've never had a daughter in this world or the close bond between all of us that made them agree on letting neo metal sonic in our little family reunion but I do know after today the bond we had strengthen and that's all I really need to know to continue living in New Yoke with them.

I tried my best with Neo's personality (Even though he doesn't talk much) and I do call him Neo throughout.

In your own vehicle, you were next to your father, Dr Eggman as the others called him. Out of the way of the bots but close enough to get a good, close look at the rainbow crystal. That was until that blue rat showed up, which caused your father to turn towards you. “Y/N, get off the ground! We mustn’t let him have any chances.” Huffing as you listened to him, so now you were floating above everyone else.

Except for the bat, although a quick pass by the rotors have caused her to stay back, not wanting to risk her wings and the ability to fly. Either way you weren’t complaining, until your father finally grabbed the crystal. But even then you knew something was wrong, as the others shouted at Sonic, you yelled for your dad. “DAD!” Watching as Sonic got closer, “MOVE, STEP BA–”

It shattered, the crystal shattered. Luckily your vehicle took most of the hit but the light was blinding, but you were able to get a final glance at your father before passing out.

“Ughh…” Turning your head away as lights from above moved over you, being too bright as you woke up. Holding your head as you sat up, quicking looking behind you when you heard footsteps. Finding a pale blue hedgehog leave the shadows, clothes looking very familiar. “Y/N,” Hands helping you stand, “Are you alright?�� “Yeah, I think…” “I’ll try to explain, but let’s get somewhere safe… safer.”

As soon as you both turned to walk further into the alley, the spotlights from earlier shined down on you two. Not scanning past like earlier, “Unidentied citizens, alert, alert.” Barely able to see a small robot fly down, a rotor on its head. That one would be easy enough to outrun, right?

“You are in violation of city ordinance 34 C-2” Huh? Looking behind you to find two different, larger robots floating around. With even more in the entrance, “By the authority of the Chaos Concil, stand down or be disassembled.” Panicking, even surrounded by a bunch of robots Neo pulled you closer.

You could only guess what you looked like right now, unlike the group of Eggmen who didn't have to guess. They either stood or sat in front of the screen, something about you was… compelling, but they didn’t know what it was. It was like seeing a long time friend or family member after years of not seeing them. One stepped forward, sending a single instruction to the robots. “Bring them both to the Council.”

On the other end, you watched one of the robots eye switch slightly, zoning out before becoming normal again. At that it reached forward while one behind you did the same, both reaching out and grabbing you and Neo. No matter how much you struggled they kept a tight grasp on you both, only letting go when they brought you into a weirdly familiar building. You haven’t seen it before, sure, but the vibe was, very similar.

Even then the robots stood right next to you, though you and Neo were able to hold each other. “Look what the hedgehog dragged in!” Turning to find 5, no 3 men, 1 teenager and a baby, waiting for you two. “And it looks like he brought a little friend.” The blue haired one was eyeing you, and god was it uncomfortable, even through his sunglasses you knew.

“You Egghead, that’s not the right badger!” “Hedgehog! And you're wrong, we finally get our hands on him and you–” Yeah, you weren’t listening to that, and clearly not watching either. As suddenly lasers moved, scanning you and Neo quickly. The results automatically pulled up on a nearby screen, which showed the obvious, to you at least, not that the others realised.

“Hah, see! I was right!” “Shut up,” Finding it was the teenager, who was also engrossed in his device. “Just use the memory gun to find out if it’s really him.” Said gun was passed by one of the robots, “Of course, going through his memories, his life, we can find the things he holds dear and use them against him!”

Someone else took the gun, shooting it at Neo. Only for it to not work, it did shut off his disguise. The fur and clothes changed into his actual form, there was a quick moment of shock before the gun was turned on you. This time it worked, sending the screen into a flurry of memories. From your early life and into your teenage years, your father was in nearly every moment, up until the crystal that caused your current issue.

This also caused your mobian form to disappear, which also brought back your original clothing. Said clothing was so similar to the Councils. “Isn’t that a striking outfit?” “Well now we have t–” Words were cut short as they turned to the screen, it was Sonic running throughout the city. Maybe he could help you two get back to your original world, hopefully.

“Get these two to their room!” “Our room?” “Why yes, we can’t be having Council members running out and about in the city.” “Uh–” Catching Neo’s eyes, “Show us the way then.”

Separated Verse stuff

First!! The summary of the verse from the verses page!

Canon follows the same principle except the core idea of 06 wanting Iblis and Mephiles to recombine to be “whole”. As, unlike in canon, in this verse the two were always separate. Their combination is still called Solaris, however unlike in canon, Solaris is only the God of The Sun and “Protector” of Soleanna. Separated, however, Iblis is the God of Fire, Sun, and the Cycle of Life and Mephiles is the God of Time, the Moon, and Rebirth/Resurrection. Iblis, unlike his counterpart, he was fused with, has actual sentience that was always present in this verse and often speaks. It is only when first getting out of the wrongness of their fusion that he does not, as the separation, even if they were not meant to be one being, is still painful. The two, however, are entwined with each other in a different manner, meant to be somewhat of a two sides of the same coin similar to how Dark and Light Gaia work without the need for world destruction. As a rule, despite being somewhat cold, Mephiles is the more compassionate of the two of them, with Iblis more taking a survival of the fittest narrative since he does not focus on any form of repetition of the same life, merely the entire cycle as a whole.

And so ends that summary, now for a little bit more detail:

First off!! Yes you read these right, in this AU the thing that fucked them up was being fused as Solaris!! Mainly this was done by a differing experiment via the emeralds upon first discovering Soleanna, as the first Duke didn't want to have his city worship two deities and the two kind of came as a set even if they weren't fused together due to their specific motifs. Then, over time, Solaris became known as the "Sun God" but specifically of Soleanna, everywhere else, Iblis was still the God of The Sun that many knew, and so of course understandably people were weirded out by this difference.

Over time as well, the fact that they were two fused Gods became lost to time since this was before they would write down such records. Leading of course to the Duchess of Soleanna's death, and the Duke taking on the Solaris Project. They still refused, but the main voice refusing in this case was Mephiles, since Time was his jurisdiction and always had been, he didn't want to mess with the timeline just for the selfishness of one mortal. Leading to the project with them mistakenly titling Iblis as the "power" and Mephiles as the "mind". Them being separated and generating the same level of divinity is what causes the explosion this time as both of them want out. Granted, Mephiles considers combining with Iblis again during 06 just to have the extra boost having their counterpart would give them to allow him the ability to eradicate existence and the fact that they exist in all forms of time (something that Mephiles in this verse is entirely capable of but chooses not to do as it's not as useful unless being directly attacked by something aiming to try and end his divine existence in some fashion) is just a bit of a subconscious perk and something he takes advantage of.

Unlike in the games however, all defeating them does is separate them again, the same as sometimes you can do with fusion in Steven Universe. Iblis ends up trapped in the future, meanwhile, Mephiles, due to being the one who actually has the powers to do what Solaris was doing, ends up being sent outside of the flow of time as a form of punishment, and it doesn't lead to the events of 06 being entirely forgotten (as the cringe human x mobian smooch also doesn't happen as Sonic resurrects before the princess can do so do to being in such high proximity to Mephiles who rules over that specific aspect of things) and so when the white void occurs, it is the passage of time that causes the memory loss when encountered (and establishing himself back in the timeline is less a defeat Shadow and more just a get past him so he can get out of the area he has been locked away in). Similar to the Erased verse, Mephiles makes use of Shadow's shadow again to get out, but it doesn't cause as much pain to come back into the flow of time, just a lot of disorientation as he's flooded with all of the events that he has missed. As such he just keeps on the down low as he knows that Eggman clearly wants to control time, and he's not about to allow that to get anywhere close to happening.

Reworking on Villian Au Arc:

(The jist of it is more of a bad end where Saturn/Nathan didn't see humanity as he used to after escaping his world and took back control that he lost. Losing that gentle chance of humility, having grown accustomed to enjoying the gore and end of others not worthy. He has the powers to do so and the knowledge, escaping his world for a new one he has darker thoughts at work. For more power or just to invoke fear? That's his own decision to make.)

With vast knowledge on weaponry and botany for deadly and non deadly plants with his own magical skill set. He can slide through the cracks if things go awry for others, say go missing and are killed for crossing paths.

He'd observe you first see if you're interesting enough to keep alive just this once or boring enough to see what your intentions were for stepping foot where he lives.

He's bloodthirsty and rough but hides that under a gentle innocent demeanor of helpful suggestions and offerings, it's so he can get what he wants. Even when he sells things like poisons and such he only does it to get information or something of equal value.

In his mind people kept pushing and screaming that he was a problem his mere existence seen as monster, a threat and freak, so he's going to be whether the new world he's in deserves it or not.

So, I looked at Sonic x Epic AU’s and in most of them it displays him as Odysseus, which I agree with, however it got me thinking.

You guys know how Odysseus is the grandson or great grandson to Hermes? Well, I began to think about that sentiment and now I have a new idea about Sonic—one that ACTUALLY makes sense the more you think about it. That being—Sonic is Hermes son. So, obviously this isn’t canon, but it makes sense if you think about it

In recent events of Sonic (not counting the backstory that was given in early comics or Sonic Underground), Sonic claims his speed is natural and that as far as he remembers, it’s been him and tails (he knows Amy longer but like—that’s not the point here) anyways. Thats weird. Why would he not remember anything about his childhood with parents or at least bring up some distinct memory about them? Sure, it might be because of some bad thing, but I don’t think so, especially doesn’t make sense because how could he survive as a tiny hedgehog infant? And that’s when it hit me.

in case you don’t know, in Greek god fashion, baby Gods/demi-Gods typically grow up fast—especially in their baby years. They become conscious within hours or minutes (been a while since I’ve read it) and so they typically become young children within a few hours or a few days. They don’t really need to be taken care of, as their powers typically come rather quickly. This can also explain how he can defeat Eggman so fast without much training, even as a kid, as powers and abilities quickly develop. Speaking of powers, being Hermes child could also explain his super speed, because Hermes is a representation of speed, and he’s known for it as a messenger. This can also explain Some of Sonic’s personality (as my classmate once told me; some of your personality is DNA and the other half is circumstances).

Also, this makes sense again because Sonic seem to grow up fast. Mainly due to the classic verse into the modern. The classic dimension is considered the past. Although it has shifted into a bit more of ‘separate universe’, the general idea was it was the past. This doesn’t make sense. Why? Because of Tails and Sonic’s age difference.

tails seems to be four in this; that’s okay. However, in modern time, he’s eight. Only four years apart. That’s okay—what’s not okay is that Sonic is suddenly sixteen. Sure, he might be twelve in the modern universe, but you cannot tell me a twelve year old looks like that. In classic, he looks like he’s eight or nine, maybe ten, so it doesn’t make sense that he’s sixteen. Which would also tie into the ‘Gods grow up fast’ part of this. (Yes, I know in the original book of classic, he’s fifteen; however in recent times like Sonic generations, he’s portrayed as a younger version of Sonic)

And you could say ‘Why would Hermes go after a mobian instead of human women?’ And let’s be honest here; Hermes would definitely be intimate with a mobian. Heck, any of the Greek gods would. So don’t you dare even try and use the ‘Hermes looks like a human and they are Mobians’, Hermes could just transform into a mobian—HE WOULD EVEN BE IN HIS REGULAR FORM FOR THAT SO LETS NOT USE THAT AS AN EXCUSE

It would also explain why Sonic can defeat gods; why he can use chaos energy without much problem, and why he’s able to keep up with time itself. However, why would Hermes nor Sonic’s mother keep Sonic? Simple. In case you don’t know, the Gods don’t like the idea of their child surpassing them. Why? I don’t know, the Greek Gods just don’t want to be surpassed. And while I’m sure Hermes isn’t as petty (he is) he would still leave them. And Sonic’s mother probably didn’t want to take care of a child of a Greek God by herself (lets be real, Hermes left all the caretaking to her) so she abandons him and kinda hopes he dies (because that’s what happens in Greek stories when women don’t want a kid (abandon them or throw them off a cliff)) but it didn’t work, hence ending up with Sonic.

And my last idea on this? Sonic has no clue. He has no clue he’s the child of a Greek god. He has no clue he’s related to Hermes. He just kinda thinks he got this gift by luck; beats him on how he got it! And why should he care how he got it? He’s using it to save people! Why should he think about it? (It only encourages me that they never did a story about Greek gods nor have the Sonic crew ever visited greece (yes Sonic has been to Camelot but that story isn’t necessarily based on Greek gods nor was it in current times + it was probably an alternate universe if anything so it doesn’t count)

Anyways, end theory: Sonic is Hermes child and just doesn’t know it (probably not true but Sega’s never gonna have Sonic just have one consistent parent so I can imagine this)

I may or may not create an AU based on this factor; where Hermes hears of his sons great adventures and randomly decides to pop by and check on his son, let’s be honest that’s a Hermes thing to do to just show up announced without explanation and then dropping a bombshell.

How do you think Sonic’s friends would react to this, nonetheless Sonic finding out about this? Ya think Olympus would offer Sonic a spot?

Momentum belongs to me!

Seeing son1c's Shatter-verse Sonics inspired me so hard. I absolutely had to draw them and make my own.

So allow me to introduce Momentum the Hedgehog! Momentum was born on the faraway Christmas Island where he lived a pretty good life with a few other friendly mobians. However, his happiness was abruptly torn apart when humans arrived on the island. Not the Chaos Council, but arguably something worse.

You see, the Council weren't the only ones who decided to conquer this Shatterspace. There were many other groups of humans looking to start and expand empires. The one that landed on Christmas Island took one look at the mobians there and decided to enslave them.

Now of course, Momentum wasn't going to just submit to these humans. He tried to help his fellow mobians break out, but it didn't end so well. They all got caught and recaptured. Momentum’s human masters punished him for his disobedience, blinding him in one eye, and took precautions to make sure he couldn't escape again.

Eleven years passed and Momentum was broken and beaten down, becoming a shell of his former self. He was sold from master to master. Nothing changed . . . until the day the Chaos Council heard of his existence.

Desperate for a new source of energy and knowing Momentum was an alternate Sonic, they decided to buy him. They intended to have Momentum run and generate power for them with his speed. All was going to plan until Nine figured out that the Council was purchasing a 'secret weapon.'

Can Nine free Momentum? We'll see . . .

If Momentum and Bullet ever met, I think they'd both stay quiet. Neither of them asked for this life. I feel like they'd both feel like the other has a worse life and that they should be grateful for the hand life dealt then, as terrible as it may be. They wouldn’t really interact with each other, especially since Momentum doesn't talk at all.

i like to imagine underground is kinda canon in game verse (but like. Greatly Exaggerated. obviously all that stuff Didnt Really Happen) and that someday it'll come out that sonic ran away from home at a rlly young age and eventually Sonia and Manic find out abt and track him down. the idea isnt super fleshed out yet tho. some stuff is still thhe same, like the prophecy is still a thing and their mom has to give them up for. the. Greater Good? so they were sent to an orphanage. something happens that separates sonia and manic from sonic? maybe they all get adopted but sonic isnt having it and he runs away, or he ran away earlier at the orphanage. he'd b rlly young here, only like. Woof, idk, maybe like 7 or 8 at most? he finds ray and mighty and lives with them for a bit and then he finds uncle chuck and lives there with him, picking up from archie sonic's lore. uncle chuck is related to aleena, but sonic doesnt know. he just figures hedgehogs look similar sometimes.

sonia is rlly mad at sonic for leaving them behind, but she wants to find her mom and hates eggman too, so she trains to fight robots n shit and then tracks down sonic when she's older (idk, 17? idk how much older she is than sonic), taking manic with her. manic is chill. i imagine he was pretty young when sonic left, but since he always had sonia taking care of him it never rlly bothered him that much. they get adopted either by humans or by mobians who live on the continents, which is why they wear clothes and have different styled quills. they run into some of sonic's friends who help them track him down, like they meet uncle chuck and maybe mighty n ray? maybe even like. amy and the chaotix. most Definitely the chaotix, thatd b slay actually.

they find sonic again, eventually. manic is excited when he meets tails, sonia's on edge. tails is Also very confused. sonia hates him for reasons he can understand, but ultimately wasnt his fault, which is conflicting when youre 8 yrs old. manic is silly, but tails didnt expect to have Another sibling, let alone gain two at once, and hes mad sonic didnt tell him abt them. tails kinda figured uncle chuck was it. also manic looks a bit too mischievously at tails inventions and it sets him on edge a little. also tails sees sonia and sonic keep leaving to talk in private and he's mad he isnt included becuz its clearly about something important, which usually means some world-ending disaster is about to happen. i dont rlly have much story from there. they go fight eggman or unlock the. power of the. guitar necklace. and have to find their mom and fulfill the prophecy, etc etc etc. basically its an excuse for me to think abt sonia & manic AND modern sonic & tails at the same time.

can you please do a platonic chaos council x reader so the reader was from the prime verse and is the kid of eggman they was caught up in everything the reader is also dating neo metal sonic (sonic heroes never happened) so when the reader and neo metal sonic find them self's in new yoke city they go into hiding with neo using his shape shifting ability to disguise himself as an organic looking version of him self. now with the chaos council they see the reader and neo walking the streets but luckily the reader was using something that can disguise themselves as a mobian but the chaos council aren't folled and captured the reader and neo they are shocked to find out that neo is a robot and that the reader is human but what shocked them most was there memories because when the chaos council used a device that can look into others memories they find out that the reader is basically related to them and they all accept the reader into the chaos council and basically allow neo to date the reader (this is also basically a neo metal sonic x reader)

I WAS going to try and get one of the HC posts done and link it for ya', buttt- A thought came to mind and I decided to do something else instead. Welcome to cycle hell hotline, where you can have a peek at some of the choices as to what 'mutations' the cycle has been recorded to have by Annette and those that work with her on a regular basis. These are entirely writeable and considered verses, we just haven't quite written the posts for them yet.

'Brown Hero' is a possible cycle (and writable verse) known by the fact that Sonic never quite made it to the starting location of Sonic 1, sticking with Mighty and Ray as Christmas Island was going down and after. Maika, instead, was chosen by 'fate' (Really the Master Emerald) to take his place since it wouldn't work out otherwise. Maika 100% takes Sonic's role, getting to know his friends and enemies alike. However... She is nowhere near as resilient as he is, and Super Form is hard for her to maintain and control.

Another potential mutation/verse is known as 'Eggmanless', where the Doctor never quite got to the evil point of most cycles. Two possible routes an Eggmanless will take are either Sage taking his place, or Vinzent/Annette doing so. After all, most events are a requirement for those involved to grow stronger, so to lose them due to this mutation otherwise would prove the attempt useless. Eggman is (usually) a natural born beaver in this verse, and Maria/Gerald is not human either.

So then, moving on, we have a few other options here as viable, and interesting mutations to have been recorded. Ones that are considered to be sort of cursed knowledge to even most of the seasoned veterans of the cycle. These are recorded by one individual that isn't often seen.

Anyways, you have the 'Non-Mobians' variant, in which Sonic and Co. are all human, even Eggman. The only ones that are still in an animal-like form would be the Metals, though no one can really get Eggman to explain why this is. Maybe he doesn't even know. But what he does know, is that he's sick and tired of this highschooler constantly throwing wrenches into his plans. Let alone all the highschool drama he complains about while they're having their showdowns, it's ridiculous and incredibly embarrassing for it to be treated so casually.

Finally, we arrive at the mutation that no one dares to mention or recall, but it is still recorded as having occurred. A mutation so bad, that success or failure, the Master Emerald had seen to it that it had would have an incredibly low chance of ever occurring again. Things might get 'Dark, Yet Darker' with this variation, where everything has gone wrong because of constant sabotage, torment, and other crimes against humanity to occur. It is a great reminder that Eggman is not always Sonic's greatest threat to deal with.
