Would Scale ever poison your tea?
The answer is yes, surprisingly. And not ONLY your tea-he slips you every kind of poison in all of your meals, but only in the smallest doses so that you wouldn’t even notice.
They include the classics: arsenic, antifreeze, cyanide, etc…
There are also herbal poisons: belladonna, henbane and hemlock, just to name a few.
Some animal’s poisons, like that of the pufferfish and various kinds of snakes.
He even included some magical poisons, just to be safe.
Pinches of toxic powder and drops of diluted venom, all swiftly sprinkled and added to every meal, drink and snack you’ve ever had.
Ever so slowly, dose by dose, you begin to build up an immunity to as many kinds of poisons as he could get his hands on. One that was more potent than any paranoid king and queen’s ever was.
He was relieved, so relieved when you finally stopped feeling nauseous or woozy after a bite of food or a sip of your tea. At your questioning, he sarcastically replied that he was just glad the oolong tea that you steeped had stopped making you sick, and as you rush to defend the drink-which tasted perfectly fine before HE came into your life!- he takes the chance to examine your complexion.
No tinge of green, red, or any other suspicious color. The fact that you are yelling at him proves that your lungs work just fine, and that your digestive or cardiovascular system are both working perfectly.
He felt a sense of pride at his work. He feared that he wouldn’t have enough time to be with you to carry this plan out throughly, but everything turned out perfectly! And all he had to do was meticulously stalk you every single day, monitoring your eating habits and swiping it whenever your back was turned in order to add the ever-so-carefully measured poison.
As an assassin, he knew better than anyone how deadly dating anyone could be. And even though he protected you 24/7, every moment that he possibly can, it would never be enough.
So it wouldn’t hurt to take this extra step (even though he began this habit LONG before you guys began dating, as embarrassing as that was to admit…)
In the middle of your yelling fit, your voice suddenly died down as you see how unresponsive he was being. That was so uncharacteristic of Scale; usually, he would argue with you right back, but it was never all that serious, and you two would usually kiss and make up easily after. So THIS… this was frightening.
“Scale- is everything okay?” You asked, staring with worry at his pondering face. He looked up, and, realizing that he probably made you upset with his offhanded comment, smiled.
He so wanted to tell you what he had done, but he knew that you would probably not take very kindly to having your food spiked for such a long time.
So he kissed you, leaving you a little woozy once again.
“I’m fine! Promise… but I’M brewing the tea next time.”
As you hit his chest-and also pushing him away from you as a result, he laughed. Laughed with joy, and relief. He dodges your next attack and tackles you, all smiles and swiftness and strength.
You embrace each other, and he begins to think of which kind of tea he’ll brew for you next time.
#wish the game touched more on his deadly assassin aspect ngl#dragon boy deserves some badassary once in a while#also the concept of a killer slowly poisoning their lover so that they can build up an immunity is romantic as hell ngl#can also work for Cole but his methods are a little more…hands on#heh#blush blush#blush blush game#scale blush blush#blush blush scale#blush blush headcanons

I keep thinking about how both Jace and Aemond must have some serious insecurities about how they look. For Jace obviously it’s tied to his dark hair and bastardry. For Aemond it’s his eye. Certainly nobody could go through that kind of horrific injury at such a young age and not have long lasting physical and mental trauma from it.
So anyway I just imagine you cuddling with Jace one evening in bed or finding him on the balcony of Dragonstone and coming up to him and wrapping your arms around him from behind as he’s pouting after a tiff with his mom. And you run your fingers through his curly hair and kiss his head and remind him that you love his beautiful dark hair. And maybe that can’t fix the issues that may come from his parentage, but hearing your praise definitely helps him accept himself a little more.
Meanwhile I feel like Aemond would be sooo bad at accepting praise over his looks at first. He’s fine at accepting compliments on his swordsmanship or his excellent high valyrian. He’s been trained by Cole in the former and plenty of people have lauded him for his skills before. He can accept that kind of praise because he’s worked hard on those skills for years so of course he’s good. (Of course, when you praise him for these things, he stands a little taller and a little prouder.) But when you compliment his looks he falters. It must be a joke right? And you have to assure him over a long period of time that you really mean it when you brush your fingers through his hair and call him handsome. Or trace his scar gently with your fingers and call him beautiful.
Uuuugh I just need these boys to feel loved and appreciated and valued :(
You’re so right anon!!! I love all of these thoughts.
There’s nothing too NSFW in my answers so I won’t add a cut but there is implied sub!jace and sub!Aemond so bare that in mind before scrolling :))
JACE:
So obviously we all know Jace’s insecurity stems from people doubting his parentage and saying he’s a bastard because of his appearance. The response he usually gets from others he’s close to when these insecurities or doubts arise is to tell him that he has his father’s name and no one can prove he’s a bastard and Rhaenyra certainly won’t admit it to him.
So I actually think the best way to help Jace might actually be to acknowledge it? Everyone else tries to convince him otherwise or dance around it. Instead, you tell him that he very well might be a Strong bastard but that changes absolutely nothing to you because he’s still the same person he’s always been and you still love him.
The first few times you do this jace just rolls his eyes and assumes you’re just trying to be nice. But then he starts to speak more to you and engage with you and be vulnerable and then he starts to realise that actually you’re completely serious.
When those insecurities rear their head, you always pull him into your arms first and promise him that you will always love him. Then you like to run your hands through his hair and tell him how pretty he is, how you have the best looking husband in all the seven kingdoms.
That last part always gets him to blush and then he sort of just collapses against you and wraps his arms around your shoulder to keep steady. You let him hide there, holding him around the waist and the moment he starts to stand up again you pull him back and tell him to take all the comfort he wants.
AEMOND:
Yeah I fully agree about the praise. Aemond wants to badly to be praised, especially about things he’s insecure about, but he can’t believe it. The first few times he actually thinks you’re mocking him because he just can’t understand how you could possibly find any part of him attractive.
I think the best way to start is to sandwich a compliment he’s not used to between two compliments he is used to, or at least between between two he might actually understand. Now this method works very well for helping him open up and accept your praise, but also you’re giving him three compliments in short succession so he may malfunction for a moment.
The first time you did this he drops the flagon of wine he was carrying. He came believe how many night things he just heard.
I also think he takes things better when you’re touching him at the same time? Like you don’t just call him pretty, you trace his father with your thumb and kiss his nose and jaw. He’s practically jelly when you do this, entirely overwhelmed.
Aemond really struggles to understand why anyone would ever compliment his appearance, so it definitely takes a long time to sink in. What really helps is consistency, telling him all the time and never wavering.
At the end of the day, no matter how insecure he is, he still wants to please and obey you and so if you tell him he’s pretty then he has to get it because he won’t fight fight you on it.
I also think a big stumbling block in this process is the fact that Aemond can actually be really affected by those around him and what they say to him? He’ll act like it doesn’t affect him but then the next time you’re complementing him, he can’t stop thinking about the way someone earlier had insulted or judged him.
You start a rule where he has to tell you whenever someone says something bad about him to him. At first he's shy about it, mumbling whatever was said so softly that you can barely understand what he's saying.
But after a while he actually starts to love being able to go to you to tell you these things because he always get praised and kissed and it makes him feel so good.

It's actually WIP wednesday today. Have some short snippets from some things I'm writing. Some inFAMOUS things.
Festival of Blood extrapolation cause I can't fucking help myself. This is C-Virus 2.0. Help.
“Alright, now hold still. This might sting a little.”
Cole grunted in response to the pain as he felt the alcohol bite into the puncture marks.
“Zeke that really, really stings.”
“I did warn you.”
Zeke’s technique was rough, but thorough, ensuring the wound and surrounding skin was clean before a second round of pain hit as the antiseptic gel he began applying spared no mercy. He paused in his application, a chill swept through his body as he watched Cole grimace from the burning wound. Zeke turned his attention back to the immediate issue, refocusing on the job he had dutifully assigned himself. The surrounding skin had bruised deep violet and grey, broken up by lines of scattering dark veins spreading outwards, creeping and crawling under the surface, like vines reaching out for purchase.
“Where’d you pick up all this stuff anyway, Grey’s Anatomy? Nurse Jackie?”
Cole’s voice cut the stillness of the rooftop. The man had a knack for lightening the mood, but Zeke knew him too well. Cole was unsettled. This was his usual method for deflecting.
“I got it from Trish.”
Zeke held his breath, glancing up at Cole as he pulled open a packet of medical adhesives. Cole was silent and still, staring out across the city skyline, though he wasn’t looking at the fireworks and balloons that dotted the hazy gloom of the clear twilight sky. Zeke continued, “Back in Empire City, while you were in hospital. Had a lot of downtime, yknow? While the world was going to shit outside. It was getting scary, man. Figured I’d ask her to show me how to do stuff right in case anything ever happened.”
He lined up the patch, confirming it was the correct size before peeling the plastic protective film off and gently pressing it onto Cole’s neck.
“Didn’t think I’d ever need to.”
Before the thought could linger, the snapping sound of Zeke pulling off his gloves pulled Cole back into the moment.
“Okie-dokie Gary Oldman, consider yourself discharged. Be sure to give the Dunbar clinic a five star review.”

Forced Conduit Zeke (name pending)
Ok this is more a handful of notes but I NEED to get it out of my system or I'll explode. Ever since I hit the bombshell that Bertrand can create forced conduits by effectively mutating people I really, really, really wanted to see him do it to a member of the main cast. Now I understand why the game did not. But I'm the dickhead that wrote 23k words of Leon Kennedy being mutated by the C-Virus for the same reason so you can bet your sweet ass I'd do it again. Initially you'd think, sure, I'd hit Cole with that, and I sort of want to as more of a what if/one shot exploration. Less likely a full scale fic more just some fun noodling.
However. Hear me out. Ok hear me out. I love Zeke but he's a perfect candidate - he wanted powers, he's working undercover in the militia as a double agent, Cole's way too powerful to risk attempted containment and then mutating (the risk of him being too powerful a creature to control? What happens if they can't knock him out long enough for Bertrand to work his magic?) - what happens if Zeke is found out. Not only is he a double agent, he's The Demon's best friend.
He's feeding information to Bertrand's biggest threat and that just won't do. So naturally, what's a good punishment. What's a good way to send a message? What's a good way to drive home the point that Conduit's are monsters?
-
“You know the last time someone kidnapped and threatened my best friend, thing’s didn’t end so well for him.”
Bertrand has Zeke hostage, Cole shows up for a rescue, mirroring the mission from inF1. Zeke's in his militia uniform (conveniently) but this also reflects that he got caught. Bertrand talks about how he was good, but not quite good enough. He caught wind that there was a mole and the guy has resources, and this is the age of smartphones. Someone caught a photo of them together maybe, or a guard spotted something that lead to suspicion. Zeke never let it slip firsthand though.
Cole show's up, Bertrand threatens to shoot Zeke if he tries anything though. Cole's basically stuck watching. Bertrand has a monologue on the resources, time, energy it cost to rat out the mole. He's pissed off. Really pissed off. This would occur sometime after they found out he was making monsters, but before proof and confirmation was gained, so they were going by Nix's word and Cole's firsthand witnessing to Bertrand's personal transformation.
Bertrand continues to yap, but he keeps it vague. He talks about how he thought about doing what he’s about to do to Cole, but realised when he figured out Zeke’s connection and relevancy, he felt this would be more interesting.
Cole is helpless watching as Bertrand begins to corrupt Zeke.
“... promise me you’ll get that... sonova...bitch....”
After they’re done, Bertrand leaves a distraught Cole to handle a large, monstrous corrupted Zeke.
Cole has to fight him, mostly avoiding attacks, trying not to cause harm and damage, now grapping with the horror that every other monster he's killed was distinctly a person - seeing Zeke infront of him looking similar, acting similar, but knowing who he is/was. Cole manages to restrain him, hauls him via a boat out into the swamp where Nix first showed him where Bertrand's blast went off, figures he'll be safe here if he just chains him to a tree while he figures out: what the hell is he gonna do about it.
Kuo calls and Cole brushes her off the first time (maybe right after or as he’s fighting Zeke) doesn't tell her what happened.
They meet up later and he does tell her. She doesn't respond well. She comes from the angle of “put him out of his misery” - make the hard, but right call.
“I know this is a lot to ask of you, and we’ve already asked so much, but you need to be prepared to make the right call–”
“Why is it always up to me? I’m just some guy, I was nobody special!"
“Why does everything come down to me to make the tough decision? Why couldn't it’ve been someone else’s best friend? Someone else’s girlfriend? Someone else’s life?”
Cole spends a lot of time with Zeke, looking for a sign he's still in there. He plays his favourite song on an MP3 player wrapped in insulation tape.
“C’mon man, give me a sign, give me something I can work with here.”
“Just show me that you’re still in there. Please.”
Nix comes at it from the “you can keep him, like I did with my babies/pets” - he also flips out at this like “My best friend is not a fucking animal!” Kuo and Nix both have points, to be considered, he doesn't tell Kuo where he left Zeke cause he’s worried she’ll seek him out. This angers her. Nix figures it out, comes and checks in on how they're both doing. They have a heart to heart about things. Nix is more understanding, she knows what it feels to lose people close to you.
After a while of barely any progress, bouts of aggression, and growing concern, Cole starts to cave. He asks Nix again about how she bonded with the other swamp monsters.
"Show me."

can you do an analysis on how each ninja fights??
YES!!! btw this isnt just from my head, this is from a person who binged ninjago 50+ times and has been watching it since she was 3. i have watched it enough to come up with an analysis i promise
Cole:
Although he’s decently skilled at it , Cole does not like far ranged combat - its not his strongest suit. Mainly because he doesn't like far ranged weapons. However, when this type of combat is needed, he simply chucks boulders at whoever needs to be taught a lesson.
Cole is definitely the king when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. His strong body structure (awesome muscular build) enables him to throw harder punches, and on top of that he has his super strength that gives every hit he throws an added bonus (enemies really be flying all over the place when this kid fights). You can try to throw a punch at him but it would be like punching a brick wall. Cole is also a very powerful ‘kicker’, and has an excellent defense. Cole uses scythes/war hammers as his default weapons, and could use other weapons such as the ‘morning star'(yk, the big huge weapons with spikes on them, like the chain connected to a huge spiky ball. that would be so cool). Also, he could probably slay with gauntlets. Like cmon. Cole is able to use heavier weapons and hit harder because when it comes to physical strength, he surpasses all the ninja.
However, he is a tad little slow due to his size, but his skull breaking punches make up for it and more. He uses his elemental powers to his advantage, also throwing small but dangerous rocks at his enemies in between his punches, and sometimes finishing them off with a boulder punch ( a punch + a boulder. boulder punch. its super effective). Cole is normally extremely patient but on the battlefield he simply prefers facing enemies head on. He still observes them and make’s sure to know what he’s getting himself into. Not the most analytical in the team, but he certainly isn't lacking much in that department.
He works the best with all ninja, but especially well with Kai and Jay, since they compensate for his ‘slower’ attacks. Also, yk the small and tall fighting methods... (big uses hands and throws small in the air, small jumps of off big’s back, etc ) gotta love em. With jay, he’s more on defense to keep jay’s back covered. When cole is fighting with kai its like Cole trying to minimize a feral cats damage while also trying to maximize the feral cats damage ( hint: kai is the feral cat).
Nya:
Nya is the Queen when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. She also has a strong body structure, similar to Cole, and so she also throws some nasty punches. Although she doesn’t have super strength like Cole, to make up for it she fights in smooth yet harsh motions, using water to disrupt the enemies movements/slow them down so she can pinpoint their weak areas and break their noses. She is the queen after all.
Her default weapon is a spear, bc she likes to use pole-like weapons. Pole-like weapons such as spears and lances allow Nya to thrust forward with them, and have a long distance they can cover without having to actually stand far, unlike far-ranged weapons. This goes well with her water powers as water hits harder with increased pressure and is able to take any form. Nya could probably work well with whips too, or like form water whips. That would be cool.
She doesn’t like far ranged combat simply because its ‘boring’ for her.
Nya is a little faster than Cole, but she still isn't the fastest (more about that below). She tends to analyze enemies before attacking, or analyze them while attacking. Either works! She also tends to outsmart her enemies by appearing weaker than she looks, or looking at their fighting style and then adapting a counter-style (water is adaptable, after all).
Nya also works well with all the ninja. However she works best with Kai, Jay, and Zane. With Kai and Jay its also the small-tall method (Nya’s taller than both). With Jay and Zane she has elemental reactions, since water and lighting are more effective together (shock shock shock + more shocks) also they have chemistry + nya helps zane freeze at larger capacities, also both are super smart and are good at strategies. With kai, nya just works well . yk. reading eachother with simple glances. when together enemies being devoured within seconds. destroying whoever hurt the other. fun!
Jay:
Jay is not the best at hand to hand combat, but as a ninja he is obviously still not someone to be taken lightly. He cant throw hard punches, but he can throw fast punches. Lightning is not a slow force, after all! Jay may not be excelling in physical strength but he is arguably the fastest ninja.
His size also gives him an advantage, since he’s not heavy or tall, he’s able to double his speed and rapidly attack his enemies. He tends to tire out his enemies first, using speed and swiftly strikes them with lightning to take them down. You think he’s teleporting? Nah he’s just hella fast dude
Jay isn't very ‘analytical’ but does very well with limited materials; he can invent/create something that can get them out of any sticky situation, not quite perfect yet very effective! This is a skill that is unique to him, as he invents best with scarce materials.
Jays' default weapon is nun chucks. He doesn't really like any other weapons. He loves metal nun chucks because remember, metal conducts electricity. He can simply use them as a weapon, and then use his powers and so the whoever he hits the nun chuck weapon with ( or any metal weapon really) would get a hard electric shock. Ouch. He would also do really well with Chakrams (if ur too lazy to google it, they are circular weapons- kinda like circular boomerangs with sharp edges. ). Doesn't mind far range combat, and isn't bad at it either. He has no preference, as long as he gets to work with nya LOL
Jay works well with all ninja, especially with nya (reasons stated above) and works well with cole (also stated above).
Zane:
Zane is good in hand-to-hand combat, and his punches hurt quite a lot ( he has metal hands, after all). He would be ranked second when it comes to hard punches, very close after Cole and Nya. His body structure... is... well... metal.
His defense is the best out of all the ninja mainly because who would wanna punch a tin can (its certainly do able, but boy it hurts). Zane tends to do 100% analytical fighting, he estimates the enemies moves and studies how they fight. He is the most analytical fighter.
His moves are careful and calculated. He takes the next course of action based on statistics. However, this sometimes does not work when it comes to ambushes, or unexpected fights as there is no time to observe or estimate. That’s all right though, because Zane isn't entirely dependent on this, as he does have his powers to slow/freeze enemies down.
You wanna know how many enemies are left? Ask Zane, he can scan the area. You wanna know an enemies weak point? Dw, Zane can scan it for you. Thanks Zane!!!
Zane excels in mid/far ranged combat- he’s the best ninja for the job. His default weapons are shuriken's and bows, after all. He has the patience for it, and has excellent aim. If the ninja had guns, he would be a dangerous sniper.
Zane works well with every ninja, but has an advantage working with Nya (as stated before) and Pixal
Kai:
Kai is similar to Jay when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. He can throw punches, but cannot throw hard punches (he was trained to be a blacksmith though, so I’d say he’s a little behind zane). But he is extremely fast, closely second to only Jay. His biggest advantage in hand-to-hand combat is agility. Kai is the most agile ninja, and his immense flexibility (he is also most flexible) gives him an upper hand in many situations. He also has the best reflexes ; his nimble moves make him a hard target. You wont see a ninja ur gonna see a gymnast. A gym-ja.
Zane and Nya are the best logical planners, but logical plans need time and observation. Kai excels the most when faced with ambushes or fast-paced situations ; he’s always on his toes and his impulsivity becomes beneficial, since he takes quick action and takes advantage of chances that the other’s would never have noticed. He’s also as astute as Nya and Zane, just in a less logical, and in a more of a crafty way. He isn’t a patient fighter though, so he sometimes gets himself into... situations.
His default weapons are sword/katanas, and he uses them as an extension of himself; the best swordsman on the team. What’s that? You want kai to do far-ranged combat? Bestie, for kai, far ranged combat is just throwing fireballs from a distance. You might as well throw bombs at ur enemies. Kai doesn't do well with far-ranged weaponry. If Kai had short ranged-pistols, like one on each hand (like Jinx from Arcane or Kiana from Honkai Impact) he would also reign supreme.
Kai works well with all ninja, especially with Nya (stated above) , Cole (also stated above) , and Lloyd (lloyd works really well with every ninja, but he has patience and he helps kai think things through).
thats it for now! i’ll reblog and include lloyd in this after part two of s16 comes out, bc i wanna add his “oni-style”

Ninjobservation #2
Analyzing the Elemental Alliance as a group and uncovering the real reason the Time twins (Twims for short) were "traitors"
So I have rewatched Hands of Time for the 3rd time this past year and Me and my sister Purplefern (She has a ton of good Twims fics on Ao3 ^^) have learned a lot about the old elemental alliance (EA).
THE CLAIM
The EA were a strong clique that did not appreciate the Twim's general attitudes and personalities. Chen saw the growing discourse and manipulated both sides into turning on each other.
[[They be judgin' (””art”” by me) ]]
To start let’s look at all the Leaders of this Alliance
Wu
Wu back before his eventual growth with the ninja was a strict teacher. Morro ran away due to his inability to understand his problems (problems he may have caused with his teachings). He is generally harsh towards the Ninja in season 1, forcing them to train all day because they simply talked during his lesson ("Never trust a snake").
Due to being the son of the FSM he put pressure on himself to always be virtuous and leaderlike (believes he has to uphold order) and he takes this believed expectation of authority to heart. He is no nonsense, yelling at Libber (the Master of Lightning) for simply talking slightly off topic before an important battle. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, according to his own moral standards and does not waver on what he believes is in/appropriate.
Garmadon
Although less righteous than Wu, joining the alliance after the war began, he has also been seen as a strict and serious teacher. Because of the growing venom in his blood I'd argue he was even more strict, less in attitude but more in general rules of law and order. We see in Rebooted that Garmadon set strict rules for himself like "no weapons" to keep his destructive side in check and we know that Young Garmadon is so sensitive to rules as he claims that even reading another's mail is a crime. He joined as a leader and most likely upheld rules not just for the alliance but for his own sake.
Ray and Maya
We see little of them but they are both good friends- and Ray appears to be the right hand man-- of Wu They are such good friends that Ray is the one trusted with the Map to the Golden Weapons. From his tone and diction he seems very dogmatic and if he's anything like Kai, he's quick to assumptions and to attack people who he perceives as bad according to his own strict principles. He just feels like a stuffy guy. I don't have much on Maya but she's a good people person so she gets along with the others really well. Also she married Ray, so that has to say something. They both went along with the Time Blade plan.
Other Elemental observations
Except for Libber (Lighting), all the Masters are older than the Time twins. (Krux can fight in S7 so he's not older than 70. They are most likely mid to late twenty's during the war)
The EA is a pre-established group (Garmadon refers to them like they are a pre-existing entity in ToE flashbacks). They were two confident and arrogent twenty year olds strolling into a pre-established clique of old honorable fighters during a war. Not the best time for bonding.
Ice feels very much like Wu and Garmadon, considering he gave his powers to an analytical robot like Zane is saying a lot about him. He most likely does not tolerate "shenanigans", especially during a war.
They battle in a tight group
Krux and Acronix
These two act like they don't belong in the group. During the party celebrating the end of the war they are seen standing away from the rest and are genuinely happy to be recognized by Wu for their efforts. Although retcon, the two are not seen battling with the rest of the group. They instead most likely are so powerful (and impulsive and difficult to work with) that they are sent on duo missions to protect villages (They are also not the best followers).
It's also a nice parallel to our ninja in ToE. They stuck together like a family and were disliked and excluded from the rest of the EM's. The same could be said for The Twims since they always fought together and were similarly excluded.
Krux
Krux is a planner and a sassy dude. He’s stubborn and will tell people they are wrong to their face. The 16 personalities that matches him best is INTJ (the Architect). This analytical type hates people who are who they consider idiotic, do not participate in formalities, and are aggravated by heavy rules and restrictions made by someone else, especially someone they do not respect (which is most people).
Although we do not see him much as a young man we know that he is prone to grudges and will resort to less kind methods in sake for the means to an end. Definitely not someone Wu and Garmadon would like since they are trying to uphold order and keep a chain of command. But Krux believes in his own plans and his own chain of command. He is not good at small talk and would mostly stick with his brother during group events like meetings and parties, so in general his terrible social skills probably made him pretty unliked.
Acronix
Acronix is quick witted and heavily proud of himself. He won’t admit he is wrong and is very loud in general. This may be a side tangent but Acronix may have ADHD, which would not be understood back in the day and people would regard him as annoying or rude.
EVIDENCE FOR ADHD
-He is shown to stand in a position that suggests hand fidgeting (A LOT)
-Quick to anger over minuscule details
-yeah he's distractible but he's also quick to move through ideas/activities
-impulsive
- During their important battle back in time his attention is on the pretty fusion dragon flying around instead of listening to Kruxs plan of attack.
-His attention shifts to the destiny's bounty and he toys with the ninja despite saying right before he couldn't stay and fight Wu cause he had to meet up with Krux.
- in general he is constantly shifting from idea to idea, oftentimes leaving his original plans completely un-finished
He could have trouble paying attention to meetings and with his bond with Krux and tendency to quick action he would choose his brother's plan and strike independently rather than following whatever Wu is doing. This leads them to fight beside each other alone instead of with the main group, making the elemental alliance think they believe to be better than them.
In terms of Personality types he’s a hardcore ESTP (Entrepreneur). Like his brother, they are free analytical thinkers who do not respect higher authority simply because they claim to be the leaders and hate rules and regulations getting in the way of their progress. He says what's on his minds regardless of feelings and will defend his opinions despite others sensitivities. He is perceptive enough to pick up on small changes and habits but he is quick to share that knowledge (usually in a snarky remark). I doubt the alliance appreciates what he has to say when he’s blabbering about everything in such a rude tone.
MOE
Now this all may start to look like a silly “Hands of time did nothing wrong” theory. But there is a key factor in this that not many people talk about. The previous Master of Earth (or Moe for short).
We know that Chen manipulated Moe into turning against the alliance so it was not technically his fault. Chen could’ve said that because the serpentine rose from the earth he was entitled to fight for them. Heck he could’ve been 100% hypnotized by Clouse’s dark magic (His eyes were not swirly so it was not hypnobrai like is suggested in WOTD). He is most likely some lovable dummy who was easily swayed and a kind person to apologize once the truth about Chen is revealed (considering that he’s Cole’s grandfather). Moe as a person is fine. What is sketchy is Moe being easily forgiven and allowed into the alliance despite turning on all of HUMANITY. What he did could’ve hurt way more people. He fought with the snakes and attacked innocent people and powerless soldiers (like the rice farmers) and was off scott free! The Twims only fought the elemental alliance and Wu and Garmadon at the monastery. Not nearly as destructive.
They figured out that Chen made the alliance turn on each other after the war and forgave Moe for that, but isn't it strange that they never gave the Time Twins that same benefit of the doubt? We know from “Way of the departed” and general logic that Chen and Clouse helped tip them over the edge. Whether you believe this to be canon or not is irrelevant because if the EA knew that Chen was involved once why would they not assume he was with the time twins too? Seems like they already disliked the two and were just ready for a reason to punish them. All flashbacks we get are told from unreliable sources like Wu and Ray (who both were enthusiastically the ones planning to strip them of their powers.) Speaking of, let’s analyze this example of their “betrayal” shall we?
THE BATTLE IN QUESTION
This is the flashback we get of them fighting against the alliance. The first time you watch it all you really know is that they are fighting against the EA, when Wu is describing their arrogance and the danger of their powers. How evil right? To attack their companions like that? But there is a lot wrong with how Wu phrases the fight and how it actually goes down.
They have Bamboo staffs.
A weapon that is primarily defensive and not a good weapon of choice for a planned ambush or assault. They are non lethal weapons. And Acronix is said on LEGO.com to be quick to learn any weapon so someone as adaptable as he is would not intentionally bring something so weak to a fight unless he had been forced to improvise.
Always on the defensive.
Someone as tactical as Krux and skilled as Acronix would never let themselves be on the defensive like this if they had the first blow. We see that Ray has the first attack in the flashback. Although Acronix is known to jump in without thinking he has his brother who would not just go into a fight just to lose. And even if they did end up on the defensive after having the first strike Acronix has his powers. He would’ve brought both of them out of a situation if things got too hard (which he is known to do in battles HE starts). But they clearly did not start this battle.
They are surrounded.
These two guys with nothing but staffs are encircled? Krux as a planner and Acronix as a quick witted warrior would never let themsleves get into that position if it had been a battle that they had started and had been planning to win. This framing makes it feel like they are being ganged up on.
In a remote location.
The battle takes place on a gravel road no where near a major city. If they wanted to take over wouldn’t they strike somewhere more populated? And if they were attacking the EA...they would have attacked the EA directly. They were probably just walking and talking and got ambushed.
Chen?
Very possible that Chen sent an “anonymous” note to the EA telling them of the Twims plans to attack. They are arrogant, have openly hated Wu’s leadership, and don’t gel with the group so of course they would take a tip like that and attack someone they don’t like. It’s possible they had ideas of taking over the EA but the world seems a bit out of their morality range until provoked.
Now that they have been attacked the two form a real plan to overthrow these fools who don’t like them and have unfairly attacked them (just like Chen had been telling them they were likely to do). They bring real weapons (swords) to an important location (the Monastery) to fight the specific people they do not like (Wu and Garmadon).
The Punishment
Ok so these powerful elemental masters are going to attack the EA. They were once allies and they are too powerful to defeat with their powers. If only there was a way to temporarily suspend their powers so they could talk this out and have an understanding of each other and perhaps uncover Master Chen's involvement-- since the Hands of Time were semi-sensible war heroes who were the sons of a previous master of time who presumably responsibly used the element without issue (and was most likely a samurai since Krux says their helmets are samurai helmets)... sigh too bad there is not such a material… oh wait.
WHAT ABOUT VENGESTONE???
These fools really decided that destroying an important element forever, and violently ripping it out of its users was the only option? There were generations of time elementals before them that had the element. They could throw vengestone nets at them or fight until they get knocked out and then vengestone cage them. But they don’t want to know why they betrayed the alliance. It was not because the element was too dangerous. It was not because they had to strip them of their powers (cause there are less lethal ways of doing so). They just did not give these two any mercy.
CONCLUSION
The Time twins are hard to work with and stuck together no matter what. The alliance is very strict and dogmatic which both Krux and Acronix would hate being trapped in their day to day alliance meetings and group mentality. Chen used their egos and their exclusion to his benefit to keep the fight going after he was banished and sent a letter to start up conflict with the EA. The EA did not like the Twims so they were ruthless and did not give them the same mercy they did for Moe (They also are not Elements of Creation. Wu would do anything to protect the main 4 but he’ll punish these punks).

nothing up my sleeve: ch 3 research notes
Mixed with a little bit of meta for funsies ;) FYI that more background research for nothing up my sleeve can be found here.
The February 1963 portion of this chapter makes a few references the nonviolent direct action philosophy of the Civil Rights era. Since this is super important to me -- and, I recognize, a very easy thing to fuck up -- I wanted to take some time to dive into how I’m tackling this and some of the background research involved.
Everyone is probably familiar with the broad strokes of the Civil Rights movement: Rosa Parks & the Montgomery bus boycott, sit-ins at Woolworth’s lunch counter, Ruby Bridges & the Little Rock Nine, the Freedom Riders, the Children’s March in Birmingham & Bull Connor, the March on Washington, etc. Even if you maybe don’t know the names, you know the images that go with them.
But! The majority of these actions took place in the Deep South. Segregation was its most entrenched, most brutal, and most violent in states like Alabama and Mississippi, so national organizations like MLK’s Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) focused their efforts there.
Neighboring Texas, meanwhile "did not represent such a desperate situation... in fact, Texas ranked first in the number of black voters among southern states” [Source]. So with the SCLC, CORE, SNCC, and NAACP busy with the Deep South, desegregation in Texas was mostly left up to local organizers -- like Allison & Ray’s fictitious SJCC -- until around 1964.
All of this is to say that, as the story starts to focus a little more on Ray & Allison’s activism, its important to me that my writing draws from real first-hand accounts specific to this time and this place -- not cliches or generalizations. And I’m doing a lot of work to find that information!
I’m actually going to take a second to bitch about one unexpected wrench in the works: it turns out Selma -- the site of MLK’s famous 1965 march to Montgomery -- is located in Dallas County, Alabama. This makes googling Dallas-specific information SO DIFFICULT YOU GUYS. ARGH.
Ok so now that I’ve provided some of the high-level background, here are some actual research notes:
I name-dropped the Majestic theater protests, which were efforts in 1961 to desegregate the Majestic Theater in downtown Dallas (still there today!). Aside from department store sit-ins, theater sit-ins were some of the first organized nonviolent direct actions taken in Texas during the Civil Rights era. The method for doing so actually originated with college students in Austin! Source.
CORE stands for the Congress of Racial Equality, who pioneered the use of nonviolent direct action in the Civil Rights era. This included training activists on nonviolence, which was an incredibly brutal process. You can see their training syllabus here -- I highly recommend reading through it, so much of it is still relevant today. CORE (and the SCLC, for that matter) technically didn't come to Texas until 1964, but I've decided to fudge the timeline a little bit.
I know the term "throw hands" feels quite recent, but it's actually been around since the 60's! One of the references I found was in the book "Seize the Time," written in 1969 by Bobby Seale (co-founder of the Blank Panthers, and coincidentally also from Texas so I feel the slang is extra legit).
"Old Man Segregation is on his deathbed; the only question is how expensive the South is going to make the funeral" is from an MLK speech made in Austin, TX in March 1962. In another speech given in 1965, he had a VERY interesting addendum: "Old Man Segregation is on his death bed, but history has shown that social systems have a great last-minute breathing power. The guardians of the status quo are always on hand with their oxygen tents to keep the old order alive."
The songs that play in the car are “You Don’t Know Me” by Ray Charles and “Ramblin’ Rose'' by Nat King Cole, both of which were top of the charts in 1962. Are the lyrics maybe a little bit on the nose? Yes, absolutely. But I regret nothing.
The dish that Allison fucked up was Julia Child’s beef bourguignon, because Julia Child’s The French Chef debuted on American television in February 1963 to massive success. But then the whole chapter ended up being about sibling stuff instead, and I never figured out how to drop “bourguignon” into the conversation. So here you go.
Meta-wise: By the time we meet Allison in the show, she's fully committed to the nonviolence movement with Ray and doing a great job of muscling through some horrendous racist bullshit. BUT. Homegirl is still a 21st century black woman who's been dropped into the Jim Crow South, and a deadly child soldier who spent her youth solving all her problems with violence. Sooner or later she is absolutely going to try and cut a bitch. I wanted to spend some time dwelling on that learning curve.
Will add to these with time -- or, more likely, break them out into a separate post -- but for now I need some sleep. Hope you enjoy!

Riverdale 5x13 - Reservoir Dogs (Spoilers)
Quite an episode. And without Jughead for two weeks. But I’m guessing that’s because a lot of next week’s episode is going to be Jughead heavy and Cole was probably filming that during this time. First off, I want to say again how I appreciate how seriously Riverdale is taking the issue of PTSD in soldiers and how, in the US, not enough is done to help them when they return.
I will also say that, while I wasn’t thrilled with Frank returning at first, I’m starting to change my mind. What I like about him is that he’s a former soldier, he knows exactly what’s going on. But it feels different then Fred. Fred was a father teaching his son, with Frank…it’s sort of fatherly, but it’s not as much teaching in that it’s…counseling? I’m not sure how to explain it.
I’m not too surprised that Bingo was actually a human. In fact, this reminds me of the last Episode of the old M.A.S.H. tv series, which I’m sure was the point. And it’s no surprise that Archie, not being able to handle the fact that he has to leave someone to die, isn’t able to process that and so his mind changes Bingo into something else, something he can handle a little better. It’s not unheard of. And I’m actually interested in where this is going.
Cheryl’s, and now Kevin’s, storyline…I’m a little uneasy with. There is a reason for this, but I’m not convinced that my reason is the reason they’re going for so I’m going to skip this for now. Also, Veronica and Reggie start a business (is she still teaching?).
And, finally, there’s the Betty and Tabitha's storyline. So, I noticed people saying that they actually haven’t put a name to what’s going on, that these are sex workers being killed. I do find that interesting, but it’s also could be because of some censer rule that I don’t know about (Oh, you can’t say sex worker on a teen show at 7pm or some stupid shit like that). But it is very clear that they are going for a storyline that shows how sex workers are seen as disposable in society. The truckers know the girls are missing, they don’t care. Hiram knows there are bodies in his swamp, he doesn’t care. Glen, when Betty first brought this to his attention, brushed it off as a few girls with problems. In this episode, when Betty pretends to solicit the truck driver, it turns out to be a sting operation. Now, obviously, Betty pretending to be an FBI agent is wrong (although wouldn’t they have taken her badge when they quit?) and she is extremely lucky that they didn’t arrest her for pretending to be an officer. But Betty is right about one thing. She is right in her statement on how Glen is treating this case. Why? Because instead of focusing on truckers who solicit sex workers, he’s more interested in entrapping and arresting the sex workers. Because, of course, if the sex workers weren’t there, there wouldn’t be a problem right? It’s a great way to assure a community that you’re dealing with a problem, without doing a damn thing.
This leads into several bad choices Betty makes tonight. Look, I’m going to say this, I don’t have a problem with Betty and Tabitha trying to find the killer as it is clear no one else truly is. And I can understand why Betty has problems believing that law enforcement will be able to help or even care to help when they catch the trucker. If you go back into the first few seasons, there are several times where Betty does actually turn to the police or an authority figure for help, only to be ignored (Keller, Alice) or to find out the authority is already compromised (Weatherby). And, yes, she always skirted the line between right and wrong in previous seasons (because the whole show is about the morally grey area) …but clearly her methods are out of control, she’s putting herself and others in danger and she is taking the law into her own hands. So why is Betty doing this?
Folks, I cannot stress how much Roberto said this season is about trauma. And, yes, women can experience trauma and they can experience PTSD. And before anyone says they know that, well after some of the comments I’ve seen recently, I’m beginning to question if some people do. Betty was trapped in a hole for two weeks, basically waiting for a man to kill her (her story could also be a lot worse, I’m just hoping that the story doesn’t go there). And sometimes, like Betty, people don’t get the help they need for their trauma. That’s not to say that nobody’s tried, but their methods aren’t working. And the way Betty talked in her therapy sessions? It doesn’t sound like she has come to terms with the fact that she was a victim, or rather, that it’s ok for her to be a victim. That while she may have made a mistake, that doesn’t excuse or justify what happened to her. Understanding that being a victim is not shameful or your fault is the first step in surviving. So, instead of having the emotional breakthrough she needs to heal from what happened, Betty is fighting her demons by going after the same type of person who hurt her. Again, she is doing it in the worse way possible, but she can’t see that. I guess the best way to put it is that Betty is, mentally, still in that hole and in a perpetual survival mode. Her sister’s survival, the women’s survival, her survival…kind of one in the same. And when you’re in survival mode, yeah any method sounds reasonable to you. Anyway, it looks like
Jughead and Archie will be getting help next week, so I’m hoping that Betty does too.

Engineer and her Soldier trope for the Touch prompts. Either Sojourn/Mina for Hand Holding (3,8,45,19,37). Like a budding relationship during routine maintenance for her prosthetics. Or Symmpharah for Kiss (9,48,4,3,6). Like their first time of intimacy taking place behind closed doors. (Also didn't get to answer this for last ask game, but Scandalous by Prince is a good song for Sym/Pharah
Ahh you know I love Symmarah but I'd never considered Sojourn/Mina! That could be some fun dialogue!!
3. cold hands in warm hands
8. squeezing hand for comfort and encouragement
----
It was late morning in Overwatch's cybernetic research lab.
"You know I'm extremely busy right?" Mina walked over with her multitool kit before pulling out her chair across from Sojourn and sitting down.
"I know you need to see human faces at least once a week," said Sojourn, leaning her chin in her other hand, her prosthetic arm extended on the table..
"Mm... seems excessive," Mina said crisply as she pulled several small pliers, and screwdrivers from the kit. Sojourn snorted.
"You could've shoved one of your labtechs with me," said Sojourn, smiling.
"And then you'd be back three days later saying they didn't do it right and we'd spend at least an hour doing calibrations."
"Is that so bad?" There was a warmth to Sojourn's voice, not a dismissal of Mina's time or effort, but a little quip of 'I like seeing you and I know you like seeing me, even if the only way to drag you away from your tinkering is more tinkering.'
Mina pressed her lips together before gingerly running her hands down the sides of Sojourn's forearm, pressing two asymmetrical catches, opening a panel in Sojourn's arm with a short hissing whirr and click. She huffed a little, "Well... I will say it's nice to work on something I know will work."
"Hitting a rough patch with the baby?"
"She's not a--"
"You're calling it a 'She' again."
Mina furrowed her brows. "To answer your question," she said a bit pointedly, as she worked, "I would say I'm still adjusting to the personnel shifts."
"Is this about the new security we gave you?"
"You mean the ex-con suspended agent who took one look at my monitor and said, quote 'What's with the matrix shit?'"
"Come on, he's not that bad--" Sojourn laughed a little.
"No... he's not.." Mina admitted, "I guess I'm just bitter that I feel like we're being put in the same basket.
"Mina, we've been over this--it's just a temporary assignment to keep Cole from sulking around the base and keep Reyes from sending him on any unsanctioned 'vacations,'" said Sojourn.
"And why is that my problem?!" said Mina, "If Jack actually put his foot down with Reyes and they didn't play this 'plausible deniability' tango, I'd be--" she caught herself and huffed, "When we ended the Omnic Crisis... I thought it was a new chance not just for me, but for AI. I thought everyone understood that we needed to know more about artificial intelligence if we were to prevent something like the Crisis from happening again!" she sighed, "But the further along I get in this project, the more I'm Doctor Frankenstein. Getting shoved to higher security labs. Everything classified. Everything quarantined. I... I keep getting this terrible feeling that once this project's finished she--I mean it's... going to be shoved somewhere where it can never see the light of day. But I can do good with this. I know I can do good with this!"
Sojourn glanced off. Her mouth opened for a few moments and she moved to say something comforting.
"I know..." Mina said with an eye roll, continuing to methodically work through the circuitry on Sojourn's arm, "With all the fear still going around about omnics..."
"Jack's just not sure saying that Overwatch is working on a top-secret hyper-intelligent experimental AI when the Crisis is still fresh in everyone's minds is the best PR move--especially with the Blackwatch mess with O'Deorain," Sojourn finished the thought, "If you want me to transfer Cassidy, though, I can take care of that--"
"No--" Mina tucked a stray bit of hair back, now soldering in the new artificial carpal tendons, "He's... actually helpful--I mean granted, not in any programming capacity but... the AI is remarkably receptive to him," she chuckled, "I guess she's excited to have someone to talk to other than me."
"There's that 'She' again," said Sojourn, listening to the quiet fizz of the soldering iron. With the nerve responses in her arm turned off for maintenance, she couldn't feel the heat of the solder, but to be honest, one of the reasons she came to Liao for adjustment on her prosthetics was the fact that, despite using engineering tools to maintain them, Liao always made Sojourn's prosthetics feel like her body, not just a piece of equipment that just happened to also function as an arm or a leg.
"She feels like a 'she,'" Liao smiled, now cleaning out any metal filaments that flecked the interior of the prosthetic during the maintenance, "Well with the proper security clearances, I could bring you by to meet her, sometime."
"I'd like that," said Sojourn, "Plus, then I can reassure Jack you're not working on any Ultra-killer-deathbo-GYAH!" Sojourn suddenly flinched hard, one eye squinting shut and the other watering in pain at a sensation that could only be described as '10,000 beestings on a funny bone that is somehow also a vibrating tuning fork.'
"...sorry, should have given you the heads up that I was re-attaching the nerves," said Liao, glancing up.
"And...I probably... shouldn't have said... the ultra-killer-deathbot... thing..." Sojourn winced out between gritted teeth.
"Oh I know you didn't mean it like you thought I was working on an ultra killer...anyway--I'm just saying stuff like that doesn't even phase me anymore," said Mina with a shrug, "But I appreciate the thought."
"Mm!" Sojourn's eye was still squinted shut in pain as she eked out a nod before clenching and unclenching her prosthetic hand with ease, "Works like new!" she squeaked out.
"The sting will fade, it always does, just give it a few seconds," Liao gently layered her hands around Sojourn's fist, the movement like a flower closing at night. "Breathe..."
Sojourn took a few steady breaths as she sank back in her seat a little, pushing the ringing memory of the pain from her mind.
"...I think I know the other reason you come to me," said Liao, lightly running her thumb over Sojourn's prosthetic knuckles, "If you went to the regular infirmary, all the recruits would find out you're a big baby."
"Oh that's just mean," said Sojourn.
"But I'm right," said Mina.
"But you're right," said Sojourn with an eye roll.
#Mina liao#sojourn overwatch#liaojourn#...i don't know if that's the ship name but it's the one that makes the most sense to me#'sarah is the nerve reattachment thing from FMA' yes yes it is it always from FMA#overwatch

Hey so I really like your Hometown Glory au and the image of the elemental masters interacting with Lloyd is just in my mind so I written some drabble
(Submitted by @sombrerokiwi)
When Griffen bumped into the kid on the boat ride to the island he thought that the kid was one of the worker’s sons or something. A bit odd that their boss would let him run around in a boat but considering that he literally is in a boat full of elemental masters, it wouldn’t exactly be the strangest thing to see. A little concerning but nothing dangerous exactly happened to them so far besides some warnings and taunts all between them.
So it was shocking to find out that this kid is apparently the master of energy.
What Griffen was focused on was the fact that Chen let them compete in the tournament.
Don’t get him wrong, he was totally going to sweep the competition away and beat all the competitors at their own game. However, letting a kid into this? That’s just wrong.
All the other champions are already older than twenty and then they have to fight this kid who clearly has very limited training? Yeah no that’s not happening. He isn’t going to beat up a kid because he was caught up in this mess.
If ever he is going to face him, he is going lose. Winning is great and all but he isn’t going to beat up a kid.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
Kai wasn’t here for the tournament at all, he was here for Nya. All he wanted was to bring Nya home and forget all this tournament of elements BS.
That all ended when the ship left and when they were basically stranded here once Zane left.
He wasn’t sure what he was expecting in the tournament. Fights obviously of course. But other than that he doesn’t really know. And everyone else was an elemental master so who knows if he truly has the advantage or not.
A thirteen year old being announced as one of those masters wasn’t something he would have ever expected. I mean who lets a thirteen year old into what basically is an illegal fight club?
When the first event rolled around he went and last saw the kid being helped by the invisible guy. To be fair it was more like the guy purposefully dropped his blade in front of him and then stole another one from Cole if he remembers correctly.
Kai just barely got through by beating the metal elemental master Karlof.
It was clear to everyone that Karlof was the loser here. What was not expected however was for him to fall down a trap door to who knows where!
Kai thought that the losers just kind of just either get sent home or are benched somewhere in the area, not dropped down below!
“Hey hey Chen what exactly is under the trap door?! Do we get thrown to out deaths or something or do we just get thrown into cells?!” shouted Jay
Chen looked at him with some annoyance. “Well why should I tell you? If you keep winning and not lose then you would never need to know what exactly happens!”
No one liked that answer. There were murmerings all about and some are glancing at the kid with worry.
Kai may not want to participate in this tournament but right now it looks like he has three goals in mind. First he needs to find a way off this island if things ever go to hell. Second is to protect Nya and make sure she doesn’t get disqualified. And third is to find out more about the kid and protect him.
Nya can protect herself and Kai knows but he isn’t about to turn a blind eye at her and now that there is a kid in the mix, he isn’t going to let a thirteen year old get hurt in this place.
He may not like the kid but he is still just a kid. No one really in this place feels great about the idea of beating up a spunky overconfident kid.
Later he finds out his name is Lloyd and it turns out that underneath his spunky persona, he is actually a really good kid. Cole and Jay sooned joined him, Nya, and Lloyd at their table. During their time eating Jay talked about how he would tinker with some electronics when he was young, how Cole would basically be the strongest person anyone would have met, and how Lloyd would talk about how his training lessons and something about how his uncle and mom know almost everything about Ninjago.
At that short time the group seemed to have decided to protect the kid at all times. Kai isn’t sure about the others but like hell is he going to let this kid get hurt.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
Chamille wasn’t sure what to make of this Lloyd kid.
On one hand he’s a kid and beating up children is generally frowned upon.
On the other hand she really wants to win
When first meeting him she thought he would immediately be disqualified first round through and through. Of course then Paleman pitied him and nudged him towards a jade blade and he advanced.
Then Karlof fell down the trap door and that puts a new perspective in things.
For one this means that the losers would be either given death or worse and now everyone is just being real paranoid with each other and making allies with each other and waiting to backstab the other when the time is right.
This also means that if the squirt loses it means that they are probably sending him to his death.
Chamille wants to go and teach him that he isn’t that much of a hotshot as he thinks he is but at the same time she doesn’t think death is the best method to teach him.
As the rounds went by and more and more people get disqualified, everyone just sort of held their breath and hoped to not fight the kid. There is even some talk of finding a way off this island after some rumors fly around that this competition isn’t what it seems. And to be honest, after hearing that the kid is actually competing with them, she is starting to believe that.
Lloyd may be the so called Master of Energy but it took Chamille years to fully master her element. Lloyd is no older than thirteen and she doubts he even scratched a surface of his power. Maybe he is as powerful as everyone else but he obviously doesn’t have control over it.
Of course Chamille was the unlucky one and has to be the one to be pitted against him.
Chen says that they have to beat each other at Thunderblade and if he thinks that situation makes it better that she is competing with a literal kid then it really doesn’t.
Everyone took their respective teams however there is some more people at Lloyd’s side than hers and really, she can’t blame them. It’s a rigged fight. I mean pitting a child against an adult is something that isn’t exactly considered fair.
So she slows down a bit and everyone on her team seem to go a little easier on him. She wants to win of course but she still wants to give him fair chance at least.
Then one of them starts talking about how Chen is planning to steal their powers for his own goals.
At first she thought really it’s just something to get her to lose. She wants to win first and foremost and she already gave Lloyd a fighting chance when he had it and if he couldn’t catch up then shame on him. She’s in it for the glory.
They kept trying to convince the others still and now her own teammates seem to try to sabotage her as well.
She would have still called it BS if it weren’t for the fact that the kid started to beg to listen to them and to stop the tornament for the sake of surviving and keeping their powers and stopping Chen.
There was some desperation in his eyes that made Chamille realise that Lloyd was not lying and was telling the honest truth. They both decided to win together and stop Chen once and for all.
Chen tried to rigged the competition but luckily she is a master of Forme, and as such she can trick Chen into believing that she herself is Lloyd.
The moment they realised that she wasn’t Lloyd, Clouse started to do some weird magic stuff on Lloyd holding him back. And then Tox decided to just tackle Clouse to stop it. Stupid move if you ask her but if it works, it works.
At one point both she and Lloyd got the buggy and started to get the same amount of points. Chen of course kept trying to rig the competition but she doubts that at this pace, there is anything able to stop them.
The moment the race finished they both won. Everyone started to gain up on Chen and take him down and let them go home and stop his plans.
Chen of course was quick and presses one of the trap door buttons.
Griffen however is quicker. Especially since he is the elemental master of speed.
He pushes both Lloyd and her out of the way and falls into the abyss down below.
Chamille’s not sure what Chen is planning but by god she is going to kick that guys ass for thinking that he can steal all their powers and get away with it.
——————————————————————————————————————————-

Tomato Soup
So I wrote this little thing that totally isn’t me projecting my issues with food onto a fictional character no way, so hopefully it’s not terrible because it’s not super proofread. TW: mentions of unspecified ED, hypoglycemia, noncon “repairs” done to Zane. Enjoy, I guess.
------------
Zane loved to eat, until his father decided that the budget couldn't quite feed a family of two. ... Zane used to love to eat.
Zane's earliest memory of food being an issue to him was when he was barely even a year old. His father sat at the table, hunched over brass and copper coins, occasionally glancing at his son with a slightly worried expression. Zane was busy sorting their books, the task having kept him busy for the better part of the last two hours while his father said he had some "grown-up things" to worry about. Eventually, his father called out to him.
"Zane?" His father asked, voice strained. "What food do you have cataloged in our pantry?"
"Three cans of tomato soup, two sleeves of crackers, various spices, and one box of penne pasta. Speaking of which, I am getting rather peckish, I think I will go have some of the-"
Zane went to stand to go towards the cupboard to grab a sleeve crackers when his father stopped him.
"No!"
The android froze, recoiling a little in surprise as his father stood as well.
"Father, is everything alright?"
Julien smiled wearily, gently tugging on Zane's arm to move him back towards the workshop.
"Of course, Zane. Everything is just fine."
"Then why are we going back into the workshop? You only bring me back for repairs if something is wrong," Zane stated before a different train of thought hit him and he jerked away. "D- Did I do something wrong? I'm sorry if I was not efficient enough when I was organizing the books, I'll do better, I promise!"
"Stop fussing, you don't need to worry," His father consoled him, but Zane still dug his heels in enough to make his hesitation known. "You will be fine, I promise."
Zane was still stammering as he was pushed down onto the workbench and was powered off, world fading away as his mind still panicked.
...
Zane blinked, his eyes adjusting to the light. He shot up straight, the memories of what happened right before his repairs making him quickly check his vitals for information.
Energy: 78%
Hydraulic Fluid: 89%
Vision: 100%
Audio: 100%
Hunger: -
Zane blinked, and tried again to access his hunger. Nothing. He looked over at his father, who looked slightly guilty but overall relieved.
"Why can't I access my hunger level?" Zane tried to ask with a level voice, but it ended up coming out choked. Julien shook his head.
"Don't worry about it, Zane."
And so he didn't. If his father wasn't concerned, then why should he be?
He tried to eat a cracker afterwards just to test what he believed his father had done to him, and he held back tears as what used to be a salty treat felt like cardboard melting in his mouth. He closed the sleeve, and set it back on the counter, resuming his task of organizing the library, but this time the actions felt a little more hollow.
So he watched as his father ate his soup and crackers, and just had to sit there and pretend to smile as he remembered how he used to enjoy the flavors dancing upon his tongue.
-----------------------------
Zane was relaxing on his own bunk in the Monastery reading a rather good book when Cole gently knocked at the door, Jay poking his head out from behind the taller's back. Sensei Wu had set out to find something or other, leaving the three behind to their own devices while he was gone.
"Uh, Zane? You doing ok?" Cole started, eyebrows furrowed in worry.
"Yes, why wouldn't I be?"
"Well, uh," Jay stuttered, and Zane merely blinked as his friend tried to figure out his words. "Cole and I were talking, and we both realized that we couldn't remember you actually ever eating in front of us. Or at all."
"We're not mad or anything!" Cole was quick to butt in before Zane could speak, hoping to prevent any misunderstandings. "We just want to make sure you're not starving yourself or anything, because that would be really bad."
Zane stared in confusion, wracking his brain for anything to respond with.
"Why would me not eating be bad?"
"You could die!" Jay sputtered, and Zane felt some sort of sick feeling start to brew in his gut. "Please, just tell us if something's wrong, you can trust us, right?"
"I do trust you," Zane answered, for that he knew for certain. Cole and Jay looked like they were about to cry, and Cole reached out to gently tug Zane off his bunk. He was sandwiched in a hug between the two, Jay clinging to his front while Cole mirrored him from the back.
"Please, just eat something," Jay pleaded quietly, and Zane was incredibly unsure of how to respond besides a simple nod and a gentle hand rubbing at his friend's back to soothe him. Cole buried his head in Zane's shoulder, which wasn't hard since he was slightly taller than the blonde.
"I would prefer not to..." Zane began, but trailed off as Cole squeezed him tighter.
"I don't know what's going through your head right now Zane, and I don't need to know, but we're here for you. You don't need to change for anyone, yeah? Besides, you need the energy to train anyway."
Zane nodded along despite not knowing that they were talking about, but he could infer that whatever it was was a very serious issue. So he held his friends as they dragged him to the kitchen for him to choke down a granola bar, which seemed to calm them down enough where they stopped clinging onto him, but not enough where they wanted to leave him alone.
-----------------------------
When Zane and his brothers sat pouring over their jar of coins to pay their rent, Zane felt a gross feeling return to his stomach. They had resorted to buying sandwiches from a shop a few blocks over because they never had enough money at one time to buy enough groceries to support them, so single servings seemed to be the most viable option.
Since discovering his android origins, Zane had discovered how to turn his taste back on, and had also figured out that eating did give him an energy boost, but never his hunger. So he ate mostly as an extra, something that was nice, but not necessary. So it was no surprise that when it came time to order dinner, Zane shook his head denied needing anything.
The ninja took his word for it, and weeks went by with Zane only eating by stealing scraps from the restaurant he worked at to keep his energy up as much as he could, but even he could feel his performance slipping as his body was forced to run on low amounts of power. More of his blood was staying in his core to run his heart, leaving him pale and shaky, and his eyelids felt perpetually heavy, like they were being held down by weights that kept increasing by the day.
The issue reached its apex, however, during a quick training session he had managed to sneak in with Lloyd between shifts. They were sparring, the android of course not using all of his skills on the child, but he could tell something was off. Zane was stumbling, his footing unsure and his blocks were sloppy. Before he knew it, he was on the floor, and Lloyd was shaking his shoulders out of fear before running out of the room to call Jay, the android's vision fading around the edges.
He tried to sit up, but doing so made his head spin and his gut curdle with nausea, so he curled up into a ball to ease the ache, eyes squeezed shut before he blacked out in the middle of the training room floor.
...
When he opened his eyes once more, Jay was worriedly peering down at him.
"You awake?"
Zane nodded slowly, and he felt something being nudged at the corner of his lips.
"Eat this."
Zane tried to look over the best he could, and to his morbid amusement, it was another one of the granola bars that Jay loved to force upon him.
"You just passed out from the robot equivalent of low blood sugar, you gotta eat something buddy. I'll grab you some fruit juice or something in a bit. It helps humans, so it's worth a shot on you."
Zane slowly sat up and backed against the wall for support, and methodically chewed the snack with measured bites, Jay texting something to someone quickly before putting his phone away to sit across from the Ice Ninja.
Once Zane was done eating, Jay decided to strike up the conversation that the two knew was coming.
"Zane, you gotta eat. I know the first time Cole and I thought something was up it was just because you didn't need to eat, but your body isn't used to this. You're hurting yourself."
"Just let me adjust to it, and I'll be fine."
"No, I'm not letting you do that. You're eating with the rest of us and that's final. Kai's dropping off a carton of apple juice in a bit, and we're getting food tonight. You're going to rest, because I'm not letting you pass out while training again. What if you had done that on a mission?"
Zane had no answer, and nodded his head meekly as a sign that he understood. Jay stood, and held out his hand, Zane accepting the invitation to stand, also very grateful that Jay didn't mention how he stumbled upon landing on his feet.
"Y'need to trust your body more, you're getting too caught up in your own head," Jay said softly as he sat Zane down on the couch, sitting down next to him with a slight bounce. "You're not a burden by needing to eat, buddy."
The android sighed, and rested his head on Jay's shoulder, his eyes still burning and his mind quickly following suit.
"Alright, you can use me as a pillow," The Lightning Ninja smirked, and wrapped an arm around Zane's waist. "I'm waking you up when Kai gets here, but then you can go back to bed, ok?"
Zane nodded sleepily before fully relaxing into his friend, exhaustion taking ahold of him with an iron grip as he fell asleep, Jay keeping him warm all the while.

AWAE 2x9 rewatch: thoughts and reactions
This review is dedicated to Dalila Bela, who turns 19 today. Happy birthday!
After a long wait, there she is at last - Muriel Stacy, decorating her new home with potato stamps. What a lovely way to show she is a kindred spirit. She’s basically like an older Anne.
Marilla and Anne utter the same words upon passing Miss Stacy, who is cycling in the opposite direction at top speed - ‘My heavens!’ - except their intonations are so different. Marilla is shocked at the sight of the unconventional-looking stranger, while Anne is in awe of her, and especially the fact that she’s wearing trousers. I don’t think the women of Avonlea, be they progressive mothers or not, won’t be so fascinated with her, though.
And again, Miss Stacy acts exactly like an older Anne, going on and on about potatoes and tardiness and motorbikes before she’s even caught a breath. I can’t wait for Anne to finally meet her. And that concludes the cold open.
I don’t care what Prissy and Josie, or their mothers, say about Miss Stacy- I’m with Anne on this one. They shouldn’t judge their new teacher before they’ve met her up close. She’ll warm her way into their hearts, I’m sure. I actually know it for a fact.
I simply cannot believe Billy brought a gun to school and is openly proclaiming he’s about to kill an animal, a living being, with it. And it’s not just any animal - it’s the fox, Anne’s fox. What has it done to him that he’s so personally violent towards it?
Again, Gilbert alone is the voice of reason (unlike season 3 Gilbert, who is the most confused individual I’ve ever seen and has the eyebrows to prove it). ‘There’s no fox here, so how about you put the gun away?’ It’s as if he speaks for me.
Who does Billy think he is, calling his teacher ‘little lady’? He’s lucky she’s not Phillips, otherwise he wouldn’t get away with such disrespectful behaviour.
Once again Anne uses the exact same words as someone else, but with a different intonation. Prim and proper Tillie’s ‘Oh my goodness!’ is one of disapproval (which she’s not to blame for, that’s probably just what her parents have taught her), while Anne’s is an expression of pure admiration and fascination. [Side note: Let’s put things into perspective, though - what would you think if your new teacher showed up to school with no bra on, on her first day at that? I don’t really know what to think of corsets anymore, so I’m not sure how to take this. You tell me.]
What, now Matthew and Jerry, two of my favourite AWAE men, want to catch the fox too? I understand it’s stealing people’s chickens, but hey, a fox must eat too, and it’s not like it can get its food in another way.
What’s happening to Bash? Is farm life not his speed? I’m worried about him, I hope he’s alright.
For this next scene, the introductions, I’ll insert a note from when I first watched this episode. I notice I’ve been doing that a lot lately, but well, it seems I’ve got quite a lot of first impression notes on this season written down, so why not make them public now, here where it’s appropriate? Here goes:
And, just as I was fascinated, things got dramatically bad. Anne wouldn’t stop saying quite private things about everyone who spoke, and Miss Stacy reprimanded her for spreading gossip, resulting in her being unable to come up with words to describe herself (the method used for introductions was everyone would use words starting with their initials to describe themselves. I really wanted to know what Anne would have said about herself, as nobody else seemed to struggle much with the exercise (although I myself always do when asked to do it).
Alright, now I’d like to add something to this. When Ruby describes herself as ‘romantic’ and looked for a G word for ‘Gillis’, I could swear she thought of a certain young man right to her left - heck, she even looked at him before quickly blurting out ‘girl’. Well, yeah, she is a girl. But she’s also defining herself through Gilbert too much. I hope she knows how much potential she has beyond him. Besides, he only has eyes for Anne. I wish we’d got another season so we could see how far Ruby and Moody go. I liked them, but we saw too little of them together. #renewannewithane
Ok, but... it was like Miss Stacy just finished Anne’s sentence. ‘Ruby has a crush on...’ ‘Gilbert Blythe?’ Well, yes, but that’s not what we’re talking about. See, I’m noticing details I did not deem significant enough to note down the first time around. This is what rewatches are for.
Rachel Lynde needs Marilla’s help. That’s a first. Oh, well, it’s rumours, what else. She’s against Miss Stacy. I really don’t like her right now.
No, seriously, what is happening to Bash?
Of course, what the mothers of Avonlea fail to see is that, female or not, trousers or nor, corset or not, Miss Stacy is much more capable of teaching the young minds of Avonlea school than her predecessor. Or at least she’s much more willing to educate them properly. Of course she’ll tutor Gilbert. And Anne will soon find her way into her good graces. I hope. Nay, I know it.
‘Appalling, stupid, clueless...’ this is what I hoped wouldn’t happen, but it happened anyway. Now Anne is beating herself up for the scrape she got into by complete accident. Gosh, I hope someone can fix this.
From my old notes: And again, Cole knows how to fix things, and he does so, brilliantly I would say. Also, with the way he goes out into the nature, raises his hands and shouts out “Come to me, Muse!”, I can totally see him being a pagan... and who’s to say he’s not? I mean, Anne has the makings of one too, remember the Beltane ritual in season 3?
Rachel’s only job seems to be to stick her nose in other people’s business. She has no right to go around asking about Muriel’s marital status and whether she wants to be an old maid. But as anyone who’s watched the full series knows, this will be carried over into season 3.
Seriously, Rachel right now reminds me of Anne earlier with all the gossip, and I see now why she (Anne) made such a bad impression on Miss Stacy. Unfortunately, she (Miss Stacy) cannot assign Rachel Lynde an essay.
Anne’s mind is all taken over by the fox... so much that she’s fallen asleep over her papers... and now, disaster after disaster lead to a small fire, which grows into a bigger fire. If Anne’s essay burns in it, I’ll literally cry. I know a thing or two about lost work. Why, half of this very post I had to write a second time after my computer decided to restart the page with the unsaved draft open. But hey, this is not about me.
So I guess they’ve figuratively and literally forced Miss Stacy into a corset. That’s sad. But I see she’s not giving up on her unique identity.
Oh, great, now the found brothers are fighting. I guess it turns out Bash’s problem is he’s inexperienced in farming and he needs help, but Gilbert is pursuing his own future now and doesn’t seem to care all that much. I feel bad for Bash. But we know Gilbert will stay at least another year and Bash will figure farming out by the time he has to leave.
Ah, I see Anne is feigning sickness so as not to go back to Miss Stacy after yesterday’s fiasco. Well, I’d do the same if I were her, but I’m not quite sure that’s the best solution to the problem at hand. Marilla’s suggestion seems much better to me. Going together so Anne has someone to vouch for her... reasonable and concerned like a true mother.
I see Bash is trying to figure out horse-riding on his own. It looks tough. But he can manage it.
It’s a shame Jerry won’t help Anne with the trap... but well, he was promised good money, and his large family is so poor... the ends sort of justify the means here. Still, Matthew is not in the right to plan on skinning the fox for money.
Gosh, things are heating up between Shirbert. Anne seems to be all the more determined to find and develop her vocation now that Gilbert is working on his. And he doesn’t seem to care much about her feelings right now, being so busy studying and all. But I wonder how this whole thing really makes him feel.
Hey, there are the potato light bulbs! The first science lessons Miss Stacy teaches the class. And they never forget it. How inspiring!
Hey, I just realised something. In her ramble in the cold open, Miss Stacy mentioned that you can use potatoes for a lot of purposes... well, here’s the second one she demonstrates in this episode. Stamps and... lighting a bulb.
Marilla, who took up Miss Stacy’s offer to stay and observe, seems to be a new supporter of the young teacher. See? If people only gave her a chance and saw what she does and how she does it, she might soon be a hit in town. But no, some choose to condemn her instead, as if she’s ever done them wrong. Just like the fox. Except the fox stole some chickens. Miss Stacy is perfectly innocent.
And... poor clumsy Moody had to ruin everything just as Rachel and the ProgressiveTM mothers came in. Too bad. But hey, it’s him who recalled this very first lesson later on when they were graduating, isn’t it?
Hey, Bash has gone to see Mary. Things are getting serious. I guess.
Alas, the mothers are not too pleased with how the lesson turned out. Luckily, Marilla was there to see the whole thing from beginning to end and can support Miss Stacy in front of the rest of the women. And it seems Gilbert and Anne are ready to step in and defend her as well. On their second day with her. That speaks volumes.
Oh, so he’s visiting Mary to talk about Gilbert. But he also talks about himself and his idea to go deep into farming. His story is truly an inspiring one. And also, he’s staying with Mary for supper. As I said, things are getting serious.
Anne decided to show Miss Stacy the story clubhouse... nice. But she’s made another blunder in doing so. She’s forgotten Cole is hiding there from his parents. And now they’ll force him into farming again... as my younger self said when I saw this for the first time, ‘this episode is one of the most devastatingly dramatic ones of this series – ever. What a way to lead up to the season finale’. I think that says it all.
Ah, yes, nobody told Gilbert that Bash wouldn’t be home for supper this evening. Too bad... now he’ll think Bash has run away on him. Meanwhile, Bash is having a good time with Mary. But there’s no way for Gilbert to know that. How unfortunate.
One shot, one gunshot and... wait, it seems the fox has not been killed yet. But the poor clubhouse... Billy is the worst person in this series, hands down. I can’t even. I’m crying. Real tears. Right now.
See, Anne’s blunder was not telling Miss Stacy about Cole. After all, she swore her to secrecy. But it was a blunder nonetheless because Miss Stacy takes her duty as a teacher more seriously than her promise to Anne. If only she’d known the full story... Cole might have been saved.
Miss Stacy riding with Harmon Andrews... I wonder what Rachel, aka the Avonlea yellow pages, will make of that.
‘Sometimes you just have to use your imagination.’ This is powerful because it comes from Marilla. Also, perhaps this is the hidden sense of humour that L.M.Montgomery talked about in the book, which I’m currently rereading.
I can’t, I just can’t. Now Cole feels betrayed by Anne, and Anne is devastated about the clubhouse.... and the women of Avonlea are against Miss Stacy, and Matthew disappointed Anne... can nobody be happy in this episode? It’s truly tragical and devastating. I should not have opted for rewatching it right before going to bed, on a school night at that. How will I sleep now?
Gosh, Cole really has had it now. I’m not saying Billy Andrews did not deserve it (he did and he does), but violence is never the answer. Still, I guess it’s justified now. Too bad it will probably lead to even more trouble for Cole. See, even he’s scared of what he’s done. He surely didn’t mean for it to go that far. And to the creators - this is no way to end an episode.
Let’s sum up: we meet Miss Stacy; intonation matters; the fox is in danger; Billy the bully has a weapon now - how bad can things get?; Bash struggles with farming; Anne accidentally makes a bad impression on a kindred spirit; appalling, stupid, clueless; ‘Come to me, Muse!’; Rachel Lynde sticks her nose into things that are not her business - what else is new; potato light bulbs; Bash visits Mary; the clubhouse is destroyed; Anne accidentally betrays Cole, leading to dramatic consequences; a disastrous ending to a devastating episode.

Frontier Brain Trivia
Facility Trivia:
~The idea of Lazarus' Frontier Brain being similar to the Gym Challenge came to me as I thought Lazarus would want to think outside the box.
~Yes, a lot of the members are female. That was intentional because I thought it would be funny for Lazarus to recruit a lot of girls by accident.
~Lazarus is the mock Champion of his Battle Frontier, it was decided that because he created the idea and he is the owner of the facility. The others can challenge him for his title, but they have no desire to take his title.
~There's no order to battle the mock gym leaders but most challengers are recommended to battle Midnight first since she has everyone battle using Rental Pokemon.
~The order to battle the mock Elite Four are Lydia, Holly, Gracie and Priscilla in that order.
~Each member has a specific room and battle field they and their challengers battle on that matches their personality, theme team or type.
Midnight's Trivia:
~Midnight uses rental Pokemon because of how much her father influenced her when she was younger.
~If I were to give Midnight a proper team, she would probably use Pokemon with high speed as a reference to Marley being the Speed Stat trainer.
~Midnight was given a Gothitelle as her only Pokemon because of how Gothitelle's design is based off of the Gothic Lolita style.
~Midnight will sometimes doze off at random times due to not getting a lot of sleep.
~Midnight doesn’t get a lot of sleep due to her wanting to have all of her machines in working conditions.
~When she refuses to sleep, Gothitelle will pull her away and use Heal Pulse to calm her down enough to fall asleep.
~Midnight’s Gothitelle is a little taller than a normal Gothitelle, she’s also a bit darker than a normal Gothitelle.
~When she isn't battling or training her rental Pokemon to battle, she's either tinkering with inventions or helping Lazarus' assistants with repairs in the Battle Frontier.
~Midnight’s room is based off of the Gothic Lolita style but there are computers and a machine that disputes rental Pokemon to both Midnight and her challenger, her battle field is a standard battle field.
~Midnight’s favorite color is black.
~Midnight’s favorite food is Pelmeni and her favorite drink is tea.
Hana's, Iclyn's and Priscilla's Trivia:
~Hana, Iclyn and Priscilla are based off of the trope "Beauty, Brawn and Brain". Hana is the beauty as in the games some Beauty trainer class used Grass type Pokemon. Iclyn is the brawn as her birth father stars in action movies. Priscilla is the brain as Psychic types are known for using their heads.
~The idea for them having different parents came from how with someone thought that having Sabrina combine her Psychic abilities with Erika's good nature and Brycen's natural strength, they would become strong trainers.
~Sabrina, Will, Brycen and Erika were okay with the idea and everyone agreed to train each child separately so each of them could focus on one ability.
~How Sabrina was able to get Erika pregnant is something both of them refuse to say.
~Hana and Iclyn are mock gym leaders because their parents are gym leaders.
~Priscilla is a mock Elite Four as a bit of a reference to how the Psychic type was overpowered in Generation one.
~Hana's team from weakest to strongest is Lurantis, Leafeon, Lilligant, Tsareena, Victreebel and Serperior.
~Hana’s Leafeon looks a lot different than a normal Leafeon, she has sharper and narrower eyes due to her aggressive nature, her leafs and fur are a lot darker due to being in the sunlight a lot and the leafs on her head and tail are sharper than normal Leafeons.
~Hana’s Serperior left her previous trainer because their training method didn’t sit right with her.
~Hana’s Serperior has a scar on her back from a battle when she was with her old trainer.
~Hana’s Lilligant has freckles across her face, she was embarrassed about them as a Petilil but when she evolved she learned to like her freckles.
~Iclyn's team from weakest to strongest is Alolan Sandslash, Glaceon, Alolan Ninetales, Dewgong, Weavile and Beartic.
~Iclyn’s Beartic is a foot taller than normal Beartic.
~Iclyn’s Glaceon always has her fur spiked up mostly to avoid being touched by others.
~When Iclyn’s Alolan Sandslash first met Garnet’s Kantoian Sandslash, he was very confused as he never saw a Kantoian Sandslash before and thought something was wrong with him.
~Priscilla’s team from weakest to strongest is Alolan Raichu, Jynx, Hatterene, Mr. Mime, Slowking and Gengar.
~Priscilla has a Gengar as a reference to Ash’s Haunter in the anime.
~Priscilla’s Mr. Mime’s battle style is a reference to the Pokemon Adventures Manga where Sabrina’s Mr. Mime created a house from barriers during its battle against Bugsy’s Heracross.
~When they aren’t battling, Hana is talking with the other girls and having tea with them, Iclyn is training and honing her ninja skills and Priscilla is meditating with her Psychic type Pokemon.
~Hana’s room is a garden/greenhouse that’s full of flowers, berries, flower arrangements, perfumes that she makes, aromatherapy bottles and some tea. Her battle field is the grass field.
~Iclyn’s room is basically a room full of ice, training equipment and various ninja skills, as well as posters of movies her father starred in. Her battle field is the ice field that includes a pool and stream of water so Dewgong can battle on land and in the water.
~Priscilla’s room is a fancy theater-like room that includes colors like dark pink, purple, indigo and gold. Her battle field is a plain field.
~Hana’s favorite color is pink.
~Hana’s favorite food is Kaiseki and her favorite drink is matcha tea.
~Iclyn’s favorite color is white.
~Iclyn’s favorite food is onigiri and her favorite drink is water
~Priscilla’s favorite color is dark pink.
~Priscilla’s favorite food is Karaage and her favorite drink is green tea.
Garnet’s Trivia:
~Garnet’s appearance and personality is a bit of a take of how when Ruby was when he was five before the Salamence incident.
~Garnet having a team based on Pokemon who benefit from weather is a reference to how the concept of weather appearing in the over world of the games started in Generation Three, where Hoenn made its debut.
~Despite how different they all are, Garnet gets along with his younger sister and their father and he always watches his sister when she’s performing in a contest.
~Garnet and his mom often go and play around in forests when they have the time to.
~Garnet often acts as the group meteorologist when all of them are training outside, they trust his judgement since he’s the one who has a team based on weather.
~Garnet’s team from weakest to strongest is Glalie, Sandslash, Tangela, Castform and Goodra.
~When he isn’t battling, Garnet is often catching up with his family or spending his time in the forest befriending wild Pokemon.
~Garnet’s room is based around the different weather effects and seasons, one corner being spring and having light rain, one corner being summer and having strong sunlight, one corner being fall and cloudy and the last corner being winter and hailing. He also has a machine that creates a lightning effect that will go off sometimes. His battle field often changes to the rock field, the grass field, the water field or the ice field for each new trainer he faces and he allows the challenger to pick the field they battle on.
~Garnet’s favorite color is crimson red.
~Garnet’s favorite food is Yaki-udon and his favorite drink is soda pop.
Clarice and Cole’s Trivia:
~Clarice and Cole being twins that master Ghost types is a reference to The Shining and how some horror movies have creepy twins.
~When they’re about to face a challenger, they’d say together “Come battle with us” while holding hands.
~Both Clarice’s and Cole’s eyes are fine, they wear the eye patches for fun and to make themselves look more intimidating.
~They both like wearing clothes that are similar to each other that match their colors such as Clarice wearing purple with a black secondary color while Cole would wear black with a purple secondary color.
~Clarice was born three minutes before Cole.
~Clarice and Cole aren’t afraid of Ghost type Pokemon and Ghost type Pokemon love being around the twins, even wild ones.
~As they do double battles, the pairs are Mimikyu and Golett, Alolan Marowak and Cursola, and Gourgeist and Trevenant.
~Clarice’s Mimikyu has a lot of disguises he’ll put on. So far he made the Eeveelutions, baby Pokemon like Cleffa, Togepi, and Smoochum and other cute/popular Pokemon like Clefairy and Jigglypuff.
~When they aren’t battling, the twins either spend their time together, go out to find Ghost type Pokemon to play with or play pranks on others at night.
~The twins’ room is based on a haunted room that includes floating furniture (thanks to the wild Ghost types who use Psychic or just make the furniture float on their own), old toys that they played with as kids, will-o-wisps (again, thanks to the wild Ghost types) and their room is a bit dim, mostly to give their challengers a challenge during a battle. Their battle field is a plain battle field.
~Clarice’s favorite color is purple.
~Clarice’s favorite food is sour Mushroom Medley curry and her favorite drink is lemonade.
~Cole’s favorite color is black.
~Cole’s favorite food is Decorative curry and his favorite drink is lemonade.
Sophie’s Trivia:
~Sophie’s team being based on Pokemon known for dancing was based off of how Rudy would teach his Pokemon how to dance and Melody doing a traditional dance on Shamouti Island.
~Sophie will often give Lazarus a kiss on his cheek when she sees him.
~There’s no romantic feelings behind each kiss, she just does it to say hi to him.
~Sophie enjoys singing as well as dancing but she still prefers to dance more.
~Sophie still does wish to be an official gym leader sometimes, but she’s still happy that Lazarus gave her a spot in his Battle Frontier.
~Sophie’s team from weakest to strongest is Spinda, Oricorio, Hitmontop, Galarian Mr. Mime, Kirlia and Altaria.
~Sophie heard that her Altaria can mega evolve but she isn’t looking into having Altaria mega evolve.
~Sophie’s Spinda has a star shaped spot on her stomach, a small spot on her nose, one spot on her left eye, a spot on her right cheek and spots on the tip of her ears.
~When she isn’t battling, she’s either dancing with her Pokemon or hanging out with the other girls.

Could you write some headcanons about Jason, Brahms, and Tiffany being with an s/o that was abused by an ex? //I loved reading the ones you wrote about Michael, Thomas and Bubba. You're an awesome writer!//
A/n: I sure can! Sorry for the hold up on this request, I hope you like it! And thank you, you’re a sweetheart! (I also took my best shot at making this gender-neutral, I’m going to try to do that more with my headcanons.)
Warnings: Mentions of past abusive relationships, flashbacks, angst.
. . .
Jason Voorhees
It takes you a long time to tell him, you’re unsure of how he’d react. You knew how badly he was treated in his early life, but what you experienced was quite different. You weren’t sure if he’s really understand.
You can only hide something so impactful for so long though, especially if it still resonates with you. It takes a while to see Jason as harmless as he really is to you, and sometimes he scares you. It’s hard to get used to the idea that the same harm that comes to those teenagers will never extend to you.
Your relationship is a work in progress for a long time, building that trust. There are still accidents, you have your moments where you feel like you’re back in that horrible place with your horrible ex. Your first freak out is a disaster, for both of you.
Jason is freaking out that you’re freaking out, and he doesn’t know what to do. It hurts him to watch you panicking and apologizing, not letting him near you, but it hurts him more not knowing he can’t help you.
Once you finally calm down and you tell him it’s okay to come close to you again— to which he is incredibly relieved— he’s at your side in a half-a-heartbeat. His natural instinct is to check for injuries, and you should let him, even if you know there aren’t any.
Once he’s sure you’re not injured, you let it all out, everything that happened between you and your abusive Ex. It takes a few deep-breathing techniques in-between sentences to get it all out, but he is always patient with you.
Jason doesn’t take the news well, he’s flipping tables and knocking over things in his rage. You try not to equate this anger as the same as your Ex’s, because you know Jason would never hurt you, like they had, no matter how angry he got.
He hates it, hates knowing what that monster did to you. How it’s still affecting you. But, one thing he does know, is that you’ll never have to feel like that again. Not with him around, protecting you.
Jason is even more adamant about keeping his victims far away from you, not knowing how you could react to other people. What if one of them ended up being your past abuser? What if one reminded you of them? Of course, these thoughts are irrational, and the possibility of you ever running into your Ex again are staggeringly low out here in the woods. But still, he can’t help but worry…
He’s the absolute best safety blanket out there by the way. Whenever you’re having a bad day, having flashbacks or recalls, or simply don’t feel okay that day, he’s there. If comfort-cuddling is your thing, then you’re in luck! Lieutenant Teddy Bear Jason reporting for duty ma’am/sir!
. . .
Brahms Heelshire
Well, you’ve all seen how Brahms reacted to Cole being in his house, treating Greta like that. But he was in his element that time, Cole was a problem he could deal with personally since the asshole was in his house. Your abusive Ex wasn’t in his house, most likely not even in the state or country, which meant he couldn’t do anything about it.
So instead he’s just angry, furious that he can’t strangle the life out of whatever awful person found it alright to treat his s/o that way. He’ll probably be this way for a long time, even apologizing to you on several occasions for not being able to kill the monster that still plagues your nightmares.
Brahms tries to be gentler with you now, knowing firsthand that trying to force you into anything results in you falling into a panic attack and not letting him near you for hours. If you lock yourself in the bathroom, he’ll probably sit outside the door until you’re ready to come out, saying that he’s sorry first. And the proceeding to play with his toys outside the door with his child’s voice, something he knows calms you down, even if only just a little.
Soon your episodes and nightmares start to become less and less frequent as Brahms learns how to deal with the situation. He’s more likely to know just how to get you smiling again after a bad night terror, and always lets you cuddle up next to him after he’s gently calmed you down from a panic attack.
No one would suspect it, but Brahms actually makes a good caretaker himself, he’s acquired some of your compassion and has put it to good use! Brahms is observant, he had to be after years of living within the walls, which means he often studies how you soothe and comfort him. This allows him to apply similar methods in helping you when you’re upset.
But, I will warn you, Brahms will likely never let you talk to another person again unless it’s a really close family member. Your past experiences with an abusive lover have led him to believe he can trust no one around you, he can trust no one to not hurt you as they did. If you thought Brahms was possessive before, you haven’t seen shit yet. He doesn’t even like you talking to the new grocery boy, be wary of showing him you’re uncomfortable in any way around him or you might have to invest in another.
Also, if there’s anything Brahms hates more than you ignoring him, it’s you keeping things from him. So if you’re truly not feeling okay, and you need somebody there, just tell him. You won’t regret it he promises, he won’t make you tell him what’s specifically wrong If you don’t wanna talk about it, but he’ll insist you letting him snuggle up with you on the sofa and keep you “safe” anyways.
“Please, Don’t be sad, Y/N. They can’t hurt you anymore.”
. . .
Tiffany Valentine
If any of you haven’t noticed, Tiffany has a very cookie-cutter view on how relationships should be. Her mother taught her straight that no one should ever put their hands on their partner with the intention to hurt them. Remember all that stuff she said in Bride about the man having the decency to do the dishes when his wife cooks for him? It’s something like that. And obviously, she didn’t take Chucky’s shit when he was treating her like it.
So, Tiffany is 100% against any and all domestic abuse and will wave her sign proudly in a protest. Which means she hates your Ex in short, dangerously so. If she knew them, she’d kill them. No hesitation, no ‘ands’, ‘ifs’, or ‘buts’ about it. She’ll try to pry a name out of you, and if you want your Ex gone, I implore you, please do tell.
But if you’re moralistically against it, do NOT tell her a single thing, no matter what she says or promises you. And she’ll beg, to the point where you’ll want to tell her, but whatever you do, don’t! No matter how much you hate them, and no matter how much she wants to be-rid of them… if you want them alive, keep your lips sealed.
Once she’s over it, it’s full on mother hen Tiff. Firstly, she’s gonna want to know whatever she’s ever done that could have possibly reminded you of your Ex in any way. That way she can stop doing it. You’ll have to reassure her that she’s done nothing wrong and that you trust her.
After that, when she’s pulled herself together, she’s gonna be your best friend, your girlfriend, your shoulder to cry on when you need it, and anything else you need her to be for you. You’ll have to playfully remind her that all you need her to be is her gorgeous, spontaneous self.
She’s always happy to comfort you when you have flashbacks, reminders of your Ex, or nightmares. Even if the things she’s done are nightmares in themselves, she’d never hurt you. Don’t ever be shy to ask for a hug or to cuddle, she’s always all for it! And if you need her to be the big spoon so you can feel safe, then she’ll oblige you.

Dragon Age: Inquisition, day 12.
Right, time I stopped putting off Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts; the game already says I’m overleveled.
So, who to bring? Hm, I think Cassandra, Cole, and Dorian make the most in-character sense. I’ve used all of them before except Cole, but, well, what can you do.
Anchoret blessedly doesn’t look bad in the red thing. I still don’t understand why they didn’t stick with black like in the concept art, because I’m still scarred by how godawful it looked on my Adaar.
Cool, cool, Anchoret took about 2.7 steps into the courtyard before getting called “rabbit”. Orlesian nobility sure are terrible!
This is one of those quests where I play with the wiki open and stick closely to what the walkthrough tells me, a) because it’s complex enough that I doubt my ability to successfully complete it if I do it cold and b) because the wiki’s method is a reliable way to end up with 100 Court Approval and in a position to do what the hell I want when it comes to resolving the quest, which is a delightfully satisfying way to stick it to those snooty Orlesians.
Huh, pretty sure Yvette has different outlandish stories depending on whether you went for the Templars or the mages, nice.
There’s a direct line to be drawn to some of the war table material, but it was the handling of Cullen in this quest specifically that got me thinking “oh, that poor thing, I’ll have to give him nice things on another run” the first time I saw it. And so, here I am.
*does the Sexual Harassment And Assault Don’t Suddenly Become Hilarious When The Victim Is A Man Who Can Defend Himself dance*
Sometimes I can’t help but wonder what might have been if Cullen had been left in the hands of his original writer throughout the series—if he’d have been brought back at all, if he’d have been taken in anything like this direction, and if so, what a writer with such a history of bringing incredible sensitivity and thoughtfulness to her portrayals of characters working to fix the terrible wrongs they committed in the past (hello, Wynne, Isabela, and Blackwall) would have made of a new and improving Cullen. Would I accept a worse Isabela and a worse Blackwall in exchange for a better Cullen? No, I don’t think I would. But I am curious.
Anyway, Anchoret is Not Happy with Cullen’s little crowd of admirers, more because he’s clearly not happy than for jealousy reasons, though there’s some of that too. Sadly for her, actually doing anything about them, particularly the way she’d like to do it (i.e., by waving a sword around and telling them to fuck off) would probably seriously damage the Inquisition’s work here and almost certainly lead to Josephine and Leliana arguing over who should get to murder her. So, do nothing it is, no matter how much it pains her. I’m not projecting, you’re projecting.
Oh, hey, I hadn’t been Morriganed at in some time.
“Elves have no place in politics,” said directly to the elf you brought here for political reasons, Gaspard? Really?
Well, that was long and complicated. Time to stab Florianne.
“You can’t hurt me!” Cole, baby, yes she fucking can. Use a damn healing potion.
Cullen’s balcony scene is very sweet, yes.
I know I just gave Leliana a big boost by elevating Briala, but it’d make at least as much in-character sense for Anchoret to support Cassandra for Divine. I won’t complain too loudly if I end up with Leliana again, though.
Let’s see, I think I’ve still got time for a little more pain tonight. Let’s go talk to Blackwall.
It was one thing to play through the dog conversation with a big ol’ himbo who 100% Did Not Get It and thought Blackwall was just down on himself. Anchoret, though, is a smart girl who’s gotten as far as “Blackwall is trying to expose some kind of wretchedness that goes far beyond the dog thing” but lacks the context to figure out what. She has a sneaking feeling she won’t like it, though. And trying to get him to speak plainly by showing disbelief that this was really about the dog...didn’t go well.
...yep, she doesn’t like it. At all. But he’s still her guy, he probably doesn’t even have the nastiest history of anyone in the Inquisition, and the Orlesian government owes her several massive favors right now, and also what the fuck even just happened.
Morrigan, please tread lightly when talking to Anchoret about elven stuff. Please.
And I’ll have to mop the rest of this up in the morning, as it’s very late.

Wedding Series Q&A #1
Jin x Reader
How long have you been together?
“It’s been eight and a half years now,” Jin answered, looking over at you with a small smile.
“And we’ve been married for four and a half of those eight and a half,” you added with a laugh.
How did you two meet?
“Jin’s brother actually introduced us to each other,” you smiled.
“My hyung knew her from some classes that they took together in college and he thought that she would be good for me so he set us up on a date,” Jin elaborated.
What were your first impressions of each other?
“Well, I thought that he was extremely handsome, obviously,” you laughed. “There was a moment when I did doubt if we’d be compatible because he seemed to be a lot sillier and carefree than I am but it worked out.”
“I thought she was beautiful,” Jin beamed. “She was a little reserved at first but she eventually opened up to me and I found out what a beautiful person she is.”
What was our first date?
“She had her own apartment at the time so I went over there and I cooked dinner for her,” Jin replied.
“It was the red velvet cupcakes that he made for dessert that really got me,” you giggled.
Who said ‘I love you’ first?
“I did,” Jin stated.
Jin, how did you feel about being your wife’s first?
“I didn’t find out that she was a virgin until we had been dating for three months and I was a little shocked at first,” Jin admitted. “After she told me, she actually gave me some space to think about if I still wanted our relationship to continue or not.”
“I didn’t want you to feel like you were forced to stick around,” you interjected with a shrug.
“But you also know that I’m not the type of guy that’ll leave you just because you didn’t want to have sex,” Jin replied, giving you a pointed look. “I assured her that I wanted to be with her and once we had been together for two years, she made the decision that she wanted to have sex.”
“Still one of the better decisions I’ve ever made,” you added.
“I took the honor of being her first very seriously and I wanted to make sure that she was as comfortable as possible and that she wouldn’t regret her decision in choosing me.”
“And this is exactly why I chose him,” you smiled, wrapping your hands around his arm as he set his hand on your knee. “I knew that he would take care of me and he has every since.”
What song did you choose for your first dance and why?
“We danced to ‘L.O.V.E’, the Nat King Cole version,” you smiled. “We choose that because we thought it was a classic and it allowed us to be our normal silly selves as well.”
What aspects of your life have stayed the same and what has changed since getting married?
“Honestly, nothing has really changed for us,” Jin said. “Things have pretty much stayed the same.”
What are some of your favorite things to do at home as a family?
“I love it when Jin comes homes from rehearsals or recording and I’m in the kitchen making dinner and Kaiden is sitting at the counter coloring or doing whatever and Jin’ll come in and kiss me and then hug Kaiden and he’ll ask him about his day and it just,” you paused, shrugging your shoulders. ”It’s just the picture that I always envisioned when I thought about my future family.”
“Jagi,” Jin teased, leaning over and kissing your cheek. “My favorite is in the mornings because Y/N gets up before me most days and she’ll go wake up Kaiden, if he’s not up already, and then Kaiden will ask her permission before running into our bedroom and jumping into bed with me.”
“Wait, how do you know that he asks permission first?” You wondered.
“I’m not always asleep in the mornings,” he admitted, making you gasp and smack his arm playfully.
What was the lowest point in your relationship?
“I’d definitely say that it was when we were going through our infertility,” you answered.
Jin, did you feel a bit upset that the other members were getting pregnant easily while you and your wife were struggling?
“Not necessarily upset, but it was getting harder and harder to be happy for them as time wore on,” Jin shrugged.
What has been the impact of Jin’s celebrity on your relationship? Like did Y/N hate it at first, have a hard time adjusting to it, etc?
“Uh, it hasn’t been as difficult as it’s had the potential to be,” you admitted. “We’ve had a few incidents of privacy violations over the years but it was never anything too bad.”
“Y/N has been really great about handling all of the attention that comes along with being with me,” Jin praised, making you blush lightly. “I’m really grateful for her.”
What do you argue about the most?
“Our biggest arguments were when we were still trying to get pregnant,” Jin said. “Since we’ve gotten through that, we don’t really argue much.”
“And whenever we do, it’s usually just about petty things because we’re upset or tired or stressed,” you explained.
Were there any arguments about who's last name to take? Were either of you adamant about taking or not taking the other’s last name?
“There weren’t any arguments because I wanted to take his last name,” you revealed.
“We’re both extremely traditional in that sense,” Jin smiled.
Have the two of you ever fallen out of love? How do you work on your relationship after having Kaiden?
“I don’t think I’ve ever fallen out of love with him,” you mumbled, looking over at him. “Have you?”
“Of course not,” Jin shook his head. “And we try to spend as much time together, with just the two of us, as we can. It’s not always easy or doable, but we try.”
Who needs more alone time between the two of you and what do you do in that time?
“I think we actually prefer to be together whenever we can be,” you replied. “We don’t get much time together as it is so whenever we do have free time, we like to spend it together.”
“Sex and sleeping take up most of that alone time that we have together, though,” Jin laughed.
In what ways are you two alike? In what ways are you different?
“We’re both very traditional, in terms of how we wanted to build our family and raise our children and things like that,” Jin stated.
“We are different in terms of how we like to deal with our emotions,” you added. “Jin tends to try and laugh things off while I prefer to talk them out.”
Since couples become alike after some time, what habits of each other have you picked up during your relationship?
“I ramble and talk in pout whenever I get upset or excited about something now,” you laughed, making Jin scoff loudly.
“You don’t get that from me.”
“Whatever makes you feel better baby,” you smiled.
How often do the two of you have sex?
“These days, like once or twice a week,” you shrugged.
“The frequency can vary dramatically depending on what we have going on at the time,” Jin nodded.
What method of contraception do the two of you use ?
“I’m currently not on any contraceptives, since it took so long for me to get pregnant in the first place,” you chuckled. “And I haven’t gotten pregnant again so,” you shrugged.
What do you like the most about each other?
“I love how positive he always tries to make things,” you grinned. “Even if it’s the worst thing, he can always find the bright side in it.”
“I love how caring she is,” Jin answered. “She’s an amazing mother to Kaiden and a great wife to me and I’m so lucky to have her.
What has been the most special or memorable moment in their relationship?
“For me, it would be the look on her face when she held Kaiden for the first time after her c-section,” Jin smiled at the memory. “She had been so scared when we found out that she’d have to have a c-section but when she had him in her arms, all of that just melted away and she looked so at peace.”
“It’d have to be our wedding for me,” you nodded. “The way he looked at me when I pulled back my veil will always stick out in my mind.”
How did you know that Y/N was the one? And vice versa?
“I knew he was the one after I let him take my virginity,” you revealed. “I had never felt that way about someone before and I knew that it wasn’t just the sex. I loved him,” you looked over at him, making him smile at you.
“For me, it was after I went on tour for the first time in our relationship,” he stated. “Something about the distance made me realize how much I missed her and just how much I really cared for her and then I realized that I always wanted to be with her,” Jin replied, looking over at you. “She completes me,” he added, leaning over and kissing you gently.

🎁🔨 🖕 please and thank you!!
Thanks so much for the prompt! I had so much fun writing this and honestly, I might make a part two just to conclude what happens next! Hope you enjoy :)
Versace on the Floor (MCD Modern AU)
~~~
"Hayes, my boy! We did good tonight!"
Champagne glasses clinked together in the room full of suited men. The business deal went well. Hayes Enterprise now had global domination. It was something only the business wits of Levi 'Walker' Hayes was capable of.
His sleeves were rolled up, suit jacket thrown to the side as he drank his bubbly. It was a hard couple of months coming up with the best deal for his company and their Asian conglomerate. It was all for the better, though. He became close to the CEO of their business partner Nam Jung-woo, often having dinners and discussing topics of similar interest.
Needless to say, they've become chummy in their time together.
They were in a cocktail lounge, the renowned and revered King Cole Bar at the St.Regis hotel. It upheld the sophistication of the past hundred years while having a modern edge within the walls. Behind the men sitting on the barstools was the grand mural of King Cole bringing remembrance of the grand king from the old rhymes.
Like the merry soul, they were smoking cigars in victory.
After some cheer, there was silence as they downed the champagne. The only sound was the soft voice of a woman singing on the other side of the lounge.
Rolling his neck, Hayes was glad to finish with the tedious business deal. Now he could take the weekend off for himself. You can never really stop working for a day as a CEO, but at least he would be able to breathe and do whatever he wanted for a couple of hours.
And boy, did he have some ideas in mind.
He watched his shorter but equally as handsome business partner take a smoke, blowing out rings.
"You know, I'll miss working with you, Hayes. You're cutthroat and know what you want. I need more men like you in my circle."
The taller man smirked, taking a smoke of his own, "Likewise Nam. Let's hope we have more business dealings in the future." It was bound to happen. If Hayes Enterprise was going to hold into its top spot without question, he had to stick with Jung-woo.
"Maybe you can come down to Korea, and I'll show you the amenities we have to offer. For now, though, I have other ways of showing you a token of my gratitude."
Thick brows knitted together in confusion, watching his friend walk out of the room for a moment. His ears perked, hearing the pretty voice from the dark corner of the room, but he couldn't see the woman's face.
The melody was light in her voice, soft and sweet, parallel to the ambiance of the room.
By giving me all you got
Your love has captured me
Lost in the sweet words, Hayes didn't take notice of his friend's reentrance, with some special guests.
Before him, thirty women of all creeds and shapes lined up. Blue eyes watched all the women dressed up in sexy lace lingerie. He feasted on the display before him.
"As a gift, my friend, I am offering you any woman you see here before you now. You can do like you to her, whether that would be just for the night or for as long as you like. Please, take your pick."
Walker gave slow steps assessing all the women before him. They all gave sultry eyes, some touching him as an act of enticement. It seemed that all were willing to bend to his will.
Even if they had no clue what that would be.
His lips stretched in a sly smirk seeing the enticing curves of each woman. They were all tempting in their own right, but none good enough to fulfill the desires he had.
By the end of the line, he shared a smug look with Jung-woo before his ears tuning in to the sweet melody once again.
Needing you more and more
Let's give love a try
Hypnotized by the voice, he walked towards the dark corner where the band players were.
With the snap of his fingers, the light shone brightly over the band. A dainty hand rose to cover the unknown face of the singer.
Her skin was pale, creamy in tone. The lace and silk dress clung onto her slim yet shapely form, small shoulders exposed for his viewing.
Dark hair was up in a messy low bun. Wispy bangs flew on her face. When her hand went down, he saw her dark eyes, an abyss of wonder shining forth. Her petite nose was up. Supple lips painted red.
Her eyes weren't on him, and his blood boiled. All the other females in the room were still staring him down, all willing to give him the attention a woman ought to give a man, to show their sexual prowess ready to bend to his command.
Thick fingers went to rub his lips, staring the girl down before she finally acknowledged his presence.
Who was she to not take notice of him?
Her pretty eyes only looked at him for a moment, like he was just another person in the room for her to sing to.
"Her."
"What?" His friend came towards him, eventually also watching the girl before them.
"I want her."
The nervous laugh from the shorter man was not what was needed. "Well, Hayes, I meant from the women we provided over there. She-she's just a singer that was hired."
Gritting his teeth, he turned to his business partner, "You said I could have any woman I want, to do as I please with." He pointed towards the girl, "I want her."
Amid his command, the girl stopped singing. He was close enough for her to hear, and now there was fear running through her blood. The band also stopped playing for the moment.
Jung-woo sighed. He gave a brief gaze towards the girl on the stage. His father warned him about Walker Hayes. He's a man who gets what he wants, regardless of the methods to obtain it.
Without much choice, he nodded. "Alright, just give me a minute."
He rounded up the other women to leave the room, pulling the small woman from the stage along with him.
Walker was conversing with the other men for a while, waiting for his prize.
He didn't receive it until the end of the night.
With everyone long gone, he went to his floor with a pissed mindset. Did his friend break his word?
Tapping his foot impatiently, he watched as two figures walked towards his room. Mr. Nam was dragging the girl down the hall.
She was feisty.
Perfect.
Her eyes were full of anger watching his friend with hateful eyes. Lips twisted in a frown as she tried to pull out of the grip.
"As promised, here she is." She was thrown to the larger form of Walker Hayes, the famous businessman who was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by Forbes magazine only a month prior.
He held onto her tightly by the waist, not giving her the ability to make a fast run for it. Fear made a home in the pit of her stomach as the famed businessman's nose dove into her hair, taking in the scent of her strawberry shampoo.
Fingers bit into her waist.
"It's time to take my leave. I'll see you soon, Hayes." The two men shared a firm handshake before the shorter man left.
He pulled her into the grand hotel room, decorated with modern furniture within the spacious area. There were dark blue undertones against the gold. The night expanded along the big glass windows giving a full view of the nightlife in the city.
The young girl was still donned in her outfit, the slinky silk she borrowed from her friend.
Her eyes watched as he locked the door, starting to pull his tie off as his eyes dance on her form. Legs tremble in the tall heels, her ankle twisting as she tried to walk backward. She wasn't used to this get-up.
Lust filled his dark blue gaze seeing the terror in her doll eyes.
"P-please. I don't know what this is, but this is a mistake. I-I'm not what you think I am."
A mirthless laugh escaped him, "That's what you all say. Always trying to be coy and innocent until it's time to get down to it."
"No, I am not a whore." Tears rolled down her soft cheeks as she kept walking back, and he never failed to move forward.
Jenny was only covering for a friend that night. She needed the money, and a night as the St.Regis Hotel was bound to give her a good payday. That, and nothing else.
She should've known it was too good to be true. She knew his eyes were on her from earlier in the night, no doubt like the sound of her voice. She thought she was free after seeing the women before him earlier.
Why did he choose her in the end?
Her back hit the wall, and he crushed her with his large frame. Thick fingers went to her slim throat, encircling it with a mild grip.
"Methinks the lady doth protests too much."
She didn't look him in the eyes, but her voice was still strong. "That's wrong."
"What?"
With a little courage on her side, she responded, "The line is, 'The lady doth protests too much, methinks'. What you said is wrong."
She gasps, feeling his fingers tighten around her throat, looking into his angry eyes.
"What are you, a smartass? Don't try to get one over me, you stupid bitch."
Strong arms flung her to the floor. She struggled to catch her breath.
She crawled away on her knees, wanting nothing more than to leave with her dignity intact.
"Where are you going?" He pulled her back from the hair, her bun becoming loose. Long hair tumbled over her shoulders, a cry escaped her lips.
He pulled her backward, back hitting the floor as he climbed on top of her. Her chest moved in hasty breaths as he pulled her arms above her head, holding both of her small wrists in one of his hands.
"Let go!" She struggled to move, fighting against him as he tried to keep her legs down.
The slap echoing in the room was enough to put her in a momentary daze. Her cheek became red. The hit was hard enough to cause a bruise.
Using his silk tie, Walker tied her hands together behind her back. Tears decorated her cheeks. Her smudged lips trembled from his heavy gaze.
Maybe they needed to slow down for a moment. He pulled her up and pushed her to the bedroom. She fell on the large, plush bed only a few could afford.
"What's your name?" Her brows creased, wondering why he suddenly wanted to know, but the impatient look on his face gave her little time to wonder.
"Jenny. Jenny Lee."
"Well, Jenny- pretty name- who are you? Not every prostitute knows Shakespeare off the top of their head."
"As I said, I'm not a whore."
"Let me be the judge of that." His arms crossed to show off his biceps, standing above her with his shadow overcasting her.
"I'm a college student, an English major. Knowing Shakespeare is a given for that field. I'm only here covering for a friend. She's the one usually singing."
She watched his unknown expression, knowing there's a possibility he wouldn't believe her.
Walker watched the big eyes of the girl before him, innocence radiating off her. He knew she was telling the truth. She was too scared to lie to him.
A woman of class, how nice.
He watched the dip of hidden cleavage rising under her dress, the blood rushing down him from the thoughts of taking her right in the room.
"Please, let me go. I won't tell anyone what happened, I promise. I don't want your money. I want to go home."
Sobs filled the room as he watched her turmoil.
Did she detest him so much that she wanted to leave without asking for compensation? Did she want to forget him so quickly, the most sought out bachelor of the past five years?
He moved on top of her, strong hands-on ether side of her small form. She watched his cruel eyes fill with amusement.
"That's the thing, Miss Lee. You're mine now. My friend promised me any woman I wanted in that room, and here you are. Now, be a good girl and don't fight too much."
His fingers danced on her collarbone, eliciting a gasp from her pretty lips.
As a last attempt, Jenny did something she never expected herself to do.
Her mouth moved before she had time to think it through.
Another slap was on her face as he wiped the spit off his face. How dare she?
Her fighting him started to become a bit tiring.
Angry and filled up with all the stress that burdened him for months, he finally let it all go.
Cries were heard throughout the large suite as his fists went down on her.
Strikes were on her face, her stomach, and her chest. She gasped for air as she knocked the wind out of her. Her heels broke as he slammed her to the floor again, this time kicking her down with his leather shoes.
"Stop!" The was the only word leaving her lips for minutes straight, each time becoming a bit more straggled than the last. Blood flooded out of her lips. Her left eye started to form a dark bruise when he punched her face.
"You stupid bitch." A punch for every word. His kicks were hard, stepping on her at one point to show his authority.
Her body battered, she did not fight when he decided to pick up her limp body, pulling her through to the main room and slamming her onto the glass window.
"Why don't we give someone a show?" His strong fingers pulled her dress off like a piece of paper. Next was her lace bra and panties. Her body was pressed onto the glass, open for the viewing of many below them.
He pulled off his shirt, rushing to take off his pants as his body burned for the release he desperately needed.
She gave a strangled gasp as he forcefully entered her dry walls, ripping her apart. He pulled her tied up arms above her head as he wrapped her legs around him, hips meeting in harsh thrusts.
Walker eventually let her arms free, knowing she wouldn't fight him anymore.
Her hands wrapped around his broad shoulders, scared to fall in his fast pace.
No thoughts came to her mind as he had his rough ministrations.
Her body violated, blood mixing with his fluid.
Jenny cried into his shoulders, salty tears mingling with sweat.
"Don't cry. I know you like it." His hands encircled her small waist as he went slower, drawing out the ordeal.
He made sure she released before he did, her legs quaking as she rode off her high. Walker soon came after, his seed overflowing outside her small hole.
But it wasn't over, far from it.
By morning, she was sore and out of it. With the bruises all over her body and the energy taken from her, Jenny was tired. Her eyes closed before dawn, and she woke up to the fragrance of scrumptious foods.
Her eye still swollen, she struggled to open them as she saw Walker Hayes's tall body with a plate of food in front of her.
"I thought it would be best to order some breakfast. You'll need the energy again for later." Her gut reeled at the thoughts of what he had in store for her.
She was hungry, and it did smell good.
Digging in, she didn't take notice of his stare as she scarfed the food.
"For someone so small, you have quite the appetite." His hand went towards her face.
Out of instinct, she pulled back, but he only wanted to remove a piece of food hanging on the corner of her lips, eating it instead.
Her cheeks turned red from the intimate action.
Swallowing her food, she started back with her pleads.
"Please, Mr.Hayes. I-I need to go home now."
He frowned at her words.
"Did you learn nothing last night? You belong to me now. Wherever I am will be your new home."
He got up, still naked from the previous night's excursions, retrieving an object from the desk draw.
Her pale skin turned paperwhite, seeing what it was.
A leather choker with an emerald gem hanging in the middle.
Her fingers were quick to hide whatever was at hand.
Walker hooked the necklace on her slim throat, satisfied with the look.
Small fingers turned the gem around.
Property of W.Hayes
Tears fell, seeing what he said was finally coming to pass.
She belonged to him.
He kissed the side of her jaw, moving toward her lips. They were warm on hers, using teeth to bit down on her supple lips.
Hands were quick to grope her breasts, tugging on her as his lips moved down to her neck, marking his territory.
At the moment, he was lost in her body.
Now was her time to strike.
Using full force, she pulled the knife from under her and aimed it at his face.
A pained grunt escaped him, his hand covering his face in pain.
He had no time to stop her from running, mind on the profuse amount of blood on his hands. He couldn't see out of his left eye. His lips were ripped open.
All Walker saw was her naked body running.
Jenny picked up the remainder of her clothes, nothing salvageable. Panicked, she picked up his discarded shirt and pulled it on. She didn't care if people saw her running out like this.
Her focus was to escape, to run back to her home.
"Get back here!" She heard his footsteps coming towards her, but she was out the door.
She ran towards her freedom beyond the lavish walls of the hotel.
Beyond the clutches of the man, she didn't realize became infatuated with her.
Walker fell on the floor, the pain on his face overtaking him. He went towards the hotel phone, calling an emergency and his assistant.
Even in his pain, there was one thing he knew for sure.
He was going to get her back. It wasn't the end for Jenny Lee just yet.
That, he promised.
