One more update (for now) from our Boro and Sashiko class at Camp STITCHES New Mexico. Check out those stitches!! GOR-GEE-OUSSS!! Seriously, it has been so thrilling watching this group of women (self named the Sashiko Sisters 🤣) develop their boro and sashiko skills. This is really stepping outside their comfort zones for some of them and y’all know how challenging it can be to try a new skill. These women have met the challenge head on and have achieved stunning results the past couple of days. Camp STITCHES New Mexico is half way through so we wanted to post some progress photos of our FAB group of students who have names themselves the Sashiko Sisters #girlgang ✊🏼These photos are their boro bags pre-Sashiko stitches with the @michaelmillerfabrics patches arranged and basted to the bag body.
