I want day trips out of camp. i want art classes with rachel. i want to be a fly on the wall during nico’s therapy sessions. i want more percy, annabeth, and Grover hanging out. i want it all. if anyone has a well-written fanfic like this, i NEED it

I'm calling it right now, these are NOT the actual character's severed heads.
Don't worry, nothing happened to them. No one got decapitated.
I trust the show at this point to say that these AREN'T just there for the scream energy and nightmare fuel and there's actually something plot significant to the episode going on here.
And it DOESN'T involve any of these characters ending up like this.
MY THEORY is that these things are fake. They were made by the ghosts of the mansion as an IMPRESSION and THEORY on what the Digital Circus characters are actually like. Kinda like an exaggerated campfire story.
"This is what these Digital Circus freaks are like!"
So my theory is this: As much as the Circus Gang is afraid of the ghosts, the GHOSTS are afraid of THEM. Because they're 'humans' technically, and they're just trying to protect themselves from a myth about humans. (I mean how would they know what real life humans are like? They're NPCs. Their only intake is that humans are these freakish cartoon characters)
AFTER ALL, we did see in the trailer that there are human corpses here. So who knows what happened.
I think these are just there for the aesthetic (I mean, THAT'S A GIVEN, it's world made by Caine) but also to tell a story about these ghost NPCs and their poor experience and exposure to humans.
We also see in the drawer that Pomni opens up that it's all drawings of HUMANS.
And who would give these ghosts this impression?
THE TAPE RECORDER.
It's my strong belief that this thing is indeed, ALIVE, and using it's 'video knowledge' to paint these false narrative delusions for the ghosts to make them act this way.
And this seems like something that plays a factor on the adventure as well. With Kinger and his pillow fort. (Which, obviously, SHOULDN'T BE THERE)
That also makes sense for Kinger and his more schizophrenic traits as a bit of a therapy session for him to not only understand his trauma (whatever it may be) and also find ways to discern the 'full picture' on what's real and what's not.
Now I am not schizophrenic, so anyone who is, please clarify that experience.
I ALSO think this may be HINTS to the outside world. I HIGHY doubt there'd be any exposure in this episode aside from lip service hints, but if THIS is the NPC's depictions of humans. And they were created by CAINE. Who's to say this is how CAINE views humanity from the outside? (I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream) And THIS is why, with whoever humans enter the realm, he is as controlling but also ATTEMPTING to 'Help' quote on quote as he is.
This could also reveal some stuff with his Zooble therapy session as he tries to understand them.
ANYWAY, CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS THEORY TO BE COMPLETELY INCORRECT ON FRIDAY! CAN'T WAIT!!

RDR2 Incorrect Quotes pt. 31
Bessie: Oh, you’re such a handsome young man! Can you give us a big smile?
Little John, who had a shitty childhood & doesn’t know how: 😬
Bessie: Oh! Ah - please don’t do that again. Ok-
Thomas the Swamp Boatman: You people have issues.
Arthur: Well of course I have issues!
Dutch: *drowning Bronte*
Arthur, pointing to him: THAT’S MY FUCKIN’ FATHER!!!
Arthur: Hey man, whatcha doin’? Whatcha up to?
Francis Sinclair: Nothin’ big. Just, uh, practicing my time traveling. So-
Arthur: Sorry, did you say time traveling? Like traveling-through-time time traveling?!?!?
Francis: In fact, the love of your life is gonna walk through that door in three, two, one-
Charles, opening door: Hey, I’m sorry, is this - is this the therapy session?
Arthur: The love of my life is a man?!?
Francis: . . . Oh, have we not gotten to that part yet?
Micah: It’s sad to see you slowing down, Cowpoke. Tell me, is it the TB?
Arthur: Maybe it is the tuberculosis. But then how pathetic are you? That you can’t best me at my worst!
Dutch: The money is what I want. That is where my loyalties lie. That is what my priority is!
Hosea: Not the person who raised your children?
Dutch: Don’t bring the boys into this.
Hosea: Alright. NOT THE MAN YOU MARRIED?!?!?
Dutch: I REFUSE TO BE BLAMED ANY LONGER FOR THIS GROTESQUE MISALLIANCE!!!!
Arthur: I don’t talk about feelings, Hosea. I don’t have any, I’ve never seen one. I’m a night-stalking, train-robbing outlaw, and a campfire tune-singing machine. I don’t feel anything emotionally except for rage - twenty-four-seven, three-sixty-five, at a million percent. And if you think that there’s something behind that, then you’re crazy. Goodnight Hosea!
Hosea: Arthur, it’s morning.
Arthur, looking into the sun bc he didn’t realize: Hsssssssssaahhhhh!!!
Young John: I have a question.
Young Hosea: Alright, shoot.
Young John: *shoots the ceiling* Alright can I ask it now?
Mr. Grimshaw: If I were a gardener, I’d put our two-lips together.
Susan: Aw, thank you!
Dutch: If I were a gardener, you’d be my Ho.
Hosea: Thanks.
Hosea: It must be so nice to be rich instead of, say, having to develop a personality.
Mrs. Braithwaite: Shut up, Matthews.
Hosea: Buy my silence, Catherine.
Charles: I have this strange urge to do something stupid.
Arthur: I’m stupid, do me.
Charles:
The Gang:
Arthur: I said that out loud.

Prom Night Dream (Joe Harper - Band of Robbers)
Pairing: Joe Harper x Reader
Summary: When Joe finds out you missed your prom, he takes it upon himself to give you a redo.
Rating: Fluff
Words: 2.9k
Main Masterlist | Other MGG Characters Masterlist
An I decided I needed more Joe Harper in my life and I needed this little goof to fix the fact that I missed my own prom (yes, I used my own experience and this is my therapy)
“It was one time!”
“Or two or three.”
You laugh as Tom hits Finn on the arm. The group was sitting around a campfire after a long day, drinking a few beers and telling old stories.
Tom just got outed for kissing Finn when they were kids. He needed practice, he said, and as a woman who (even drunkenly) has kissed Tom Sawyer it was practice well spent.
“It was practice!” Tom shouts. “Clover tell them!”
Clover was the nickname Tom gave you when you were kids. It came around when Tom and Finn would get in trouble, but when they were with you, you always got them out of it. They considered you their lucky charm.
Their 4-leaf clover.
You point your beer at Tom, smirking, “I may have kissed you Sawyer, but not Huck. So, if I were to say if the ‘practice’ was well worth it or not, I'd need to kiss Huck.”
“Wait, you kissed Tom?”
Joe looked at you with big sad puppy eyes, you wanted to resist hurting him, but you couldn’t lie to those eyes.
Recently you had become sweet on Joe Harper. He was always so genuine that he came off a little slow, but you didn’t mind. You loved that sweet innocence he gave off. Even if he never really saw you in that light.
Reluctantly, you fessed up to the group.
“In high school yeah. We were both drunk after Homecoming and I was already sad about how the night ended, so I figured I would get something out of it.”
“And that something was a steamy make out session with yours truly!”
You roll your eyes at Tom. It may have been a good kiss, but it also ended with him dry humping your leg and cumming in his pants. That little nugget you were going to save for when Tom Sawyer was really annoying.
He came close right now, but not enough.
“And now I know to thank Huck for that kiss.” You blew a kiss to Finn, which he caught and pressed to his lips. “Whenever you want a real one Clover, you know where to find me.”
While the group laughed at your play flirting, Joe stared at the fire, his eyebrows creasing together in thought. He didn’t like the fact that you kissed Tom before and he didn’t like that you had a bad night.
“What…” He started, licking his lips and adjusting in his lawn chair, “What happened that made you sad?”
Joe really didn’t know that he would be picking at a sore spot for you, a spot that never really closed.
You take a swig of your beer, tension very evident in your shoulders. You knew you were going to tell him, you never could deny Joe Harper, but if you were going to retell this story then alcohol would be your best friend.
“When I was a junior in high school, they put on the homecoming dance for just us. And I hadn’t been to a dance since middle school so I was excited to go, but no one asked me. I know what you’re thinking ‘why didn’t you ask anyone?’ Well back then, if you can believe it, I was the weird kid that no one liked.”
Tom pat your knee, offering you comfort while you were baring your soul.
“We liked you.”
“Thanks Huck.” You chuckle. “But back then neither of you would have been caught dead at this dance. Not the two pirates.”
You wave off the sorry looks on their faces.
“It was fine. Really. I ended up going with a friend of mine, doesn’t really matter who he was, but for the story it does matter that this friend was gay. We went as friends. Got all dressed up, we went out to dinner, got pictures down by the water. Then we get to the dance.”
Reliving these memories were hard for you. For most it may seem like nothing in the grand scheme of things, but to you it was everything. Especially at the time.
“He left me all alone to go chase around some straight guy. My friend really didn’t know how to take no for an answer, or even a beating for that matter. The entire time I sat at a table, watching the others dance. My other friends that went tried to include me, but in the end they had their dates and I was alone.”
“Why didn’t you just leave?”
You shook your head. “Couldn’t, Ben. I was his ride home. So, I waited around until the end of homecoming and then took him home. After that I called Tom, since I knew he could get the alcohol at the time, and I met up with him. An hour and a couple of beers later, Tom and I were making out.”
“I can’t believe he just left you like that.” Ben shook his head. “That’s not cool.”
“That took a depressing turn.”
You smack Tom, half out of trying to lighten the mood and half because he was dick. The rest of the night after that was a little tense, but soon you were able to make everyone forget about your little homecoming mishap.
Well, almost everyone.
By 1 am everyone was passed out on the lawn and you were tasked with putting out the fire.
“I’m sorry for asking you about that.”
You jump a little at the sound of Joe’s voice. “I thought you were asleep.”
“No, I just had my eyes closed. I wanted to wait for the right moment to talk to you.”
“Joe, you really had no way of knowing. It’s okay.” You continue to put out the fire, continuing to feel warmth even as the flames go out. Turning around you see Joe behind you and you smile. He was the source of the warmth.
Why didn’t you know him back then? Sure you wouldn’t have asked him out, and you were sure Joe wouldn’t have asked you either, but you can imagine that if you were to go with him, he wouldn’t have left you.
“What about prom? Were you able to get redemption?”
And then he decides to open the wound more. Again without knowing, but once he saw the sad look in your eyes, he figured it out.
“Oh..” He shrank. “I’m sorry.”
“You really need to stop saying sorry, Joe. There were things you didn’t know about me and there are things I don’t know about you. It’s just natural.”
You meant for your words to comfort him, but it seemed to have the opposite effect. His eyes sadly looking down as he fiddled with his fingers. You reach out to take his hands into yours, trying to calm him down, your thumb unconsciously rubbing his knuckles.
Joe’s breath hitched, his cheeks flushed. And while you would like to think it was due to your touch, you knew he had alcohol in his system so of course his face would be flushed.
“Seriously, don't worry about it.” You squeeze his hands before letting go. “Now! Let’s round these hooligans up and try to get them home.”
A few weeks had passed since that night and honestly you hadn’t given it another thought.
You went on with your days, working at the local library, having lunch with Finn, getting your car checked out by Ben and Tommy, and knocking back a few beers with Tom.
The only one you hadn’t seen was Joe Harper.
“Where is he Tom?”
“Who?”
“Joe! I haven’t seen him for a few weeks now.”
“Aww,” Tom cooed, reaching out to pinch your cheek, to which you smacked his hand, “Are you having a bandana shaped hole in your heart?”
He knew the answer. Everyone but seemingly Joe Harper himself knows that you are sweet on him. You huff, turning back to the shelves where you were currently putting away books. “You know what Tom. Why are you even here?! I am on the clock and I know you are.”
“Oh yeah. I came to ask you to chaperone the school prom with me. They are having me, Tom Sawyer, watch over the teenagers this year. It's bullshit, but everyone on the squad has to do it.”
You hum. “So why have me help you? What if I got plans that night?”
“Doing what?”
The silence you gave him was all the answer he needed. Honestly fuck him for assuming, but he knew you too well that you only had six friends, and they all hung out. You flip him off before continuing out of the row of books and to your desk, Tom’s confident annoying ass following behind you.
“Doing what?”
“Don’t make me out you, Mr. Cum in Pants.”
“I hate that you always come back to that.” Tom rolled his eyes at you, “So you coming? You get to dress up.”
You sigh, knowing you weren’t going to say no originally and dressing up did sound fun. “Yeah okay.”
Tom cheered before you shushed him, reminding him that he was in a library, and he gave you all the information for the event.
Which took place that night.
You stared slack jawed as he jogged out of the library.
Leave it to Tom Sawyer to tell you this shit last minute and now you have to remember if you had any nice dresses in your closet.
A night to remember.
A cliche theme, but one that always feels right for prom night.
Gold paper balls hang from the ceiling on strings, fairy lights running alongside them, black and gold balloons line the dance floor, some students kicking them up into the air and laughing.
You stand to the side of the dance floor, admiring with envy the fun they seem to be having. Finn stood beside you with a cup of punch in his hand. He cleaned up nicely, a white button up shirt and black slacks.
“You look amazing by the way.” Finn lifted his cup to you.
You look down at your simple black dress, it clung to you body and stopped right before your knees. It was honestly the classiest thing you had in your closet on such short notice, but you appreciated the complement nonetheless.
“Thank you, Finn. You look very nice too.” Your eyes roam over him. “Sexy.”
Finn laughed at you, but his cheeks were flushed under your gaze. If you weren’t so in love with Joe Harper, Finn Huckleberry would be the man on the top of your list.
Speaking of Joe, you still hadn’t seen him. Glancing around, you hope to find him helping out, but also not holding on to a lot of hope. “Have you seen Joe?”
"Harper? No, I haven't, but I'm sure he is around."
“Around?”
Finn jumped. Almost as if he wasn’t supposed to say that, his eyes darting around. They landed on someone and he quickly motioned them over.
Becky bounded over, quickly putting both her hands on your shoulders. “Hey! I need you to come with me.”
“Huh? Wha!” You barely get to question what was going on before she pushed you away to the door and down the hall to the girls bathroom. “What are you doing???”
Becky only smiled and opened a stall, a large cover hanging from the door. She unzipped it to reveal a white princess dress and your eyes widen at it.
“Hurry and put this on.” Becky takes the dress from the hanger and hands it to you.
You take a second to understand, but quickly snap out of it when you feel Becka unzip the dress you were currently wearing.
In a whirlwind of tule and makeup, you see yourself in the mirror.
The white wedding dress, the crown on your head, the white mask Becky placed over your eyes.
“Is this…?”
The smile on her face tells you everything you need to know.
Three weeks ago, you and Becky were at a coffee shop when a bunch of girls came in talking about prom, their dresses, dates, everything.
“So I heard you didn’t get to go to prom.”
You freeze. “Tom?”
She nods and you swore the next time you saw him you were going to kill him.
“No I didn’t.”
“If you had a chance to or if you could do it now, how would you want it to be?”
“Huh?” You look at her from over your coffee, eyebrows pinched together in confusion, “What do you mean?”
Becky looked a little sheepish, but quickly tried to recover. “L Like for example! If I missed my prom and my partner wanted to recreate prom I would want it to be like a movie! Or like a romance book.”
You understood what she was saying, but didn’t understand where this came from. You drink some more of your coffee and think it over. A ton of scenarios flashed through your mind, being dressed like sailor moon, getting dressed up and just dancing together in your house, but there was one that stuck out to you that you had loved since you saw the movie.
“There was this movie I watched as a teen,” You start, “It’s called ‘A Cinderella Story’ and it starred Hillary Duff. She was going to a Halloween party, but didn’t have a costume, so her coworker lent her her wedding dress. She went as Cinderella with a crown and a mask to hide her identity.”
You sigh and look out the window.
“Well eventually she finds herself in a gazebo that is covered with white flowers and candles and other lights. There is where she finds her prince charming. He’s dressed so charmingly and they dance to the song ‘I’ll be’ by Edwin McCain played by some musicians that happened to be nearby.”
“That would be my perfect prom.”
“But who?” You turn away from the bathroom mirror to see Becky holding the door open.
“Come find out.”
She leads you through the halls, the click of your heels building anticipation, and out to the back of the school. There are two rows of lights leading up to the most beautiful sight you have ever seen.
The gazebo was decorated with white roses and hanging plants, fairy lights surround the grounds and up the columns and they mix with the glow of the candles.
And in the center of the gazebo, waiting in a princely outfit of black and gold, hands clasped behind his back probably making sure he doesn't fidget with them (the cutest nervous tick you had ever seen on a man) was Joe Harper.
His usually messy hair was missing his signature bandana and tamed down and to your surprise you couldn’t see his toned legs with the black dress pants on. Everything about him looked out of a dream, yet not like Joe at all.
Becka steps away from you as you make your way up the steps on the gazebo, Joe breaking into a shy and awkward smile.
“Joe,” You breathe, “You… Look so uncomfortable.”
He frowns at you, brown eyes looking sad that you weren’t impressed, which you were more than impressed. You were stunned, speechless really, but as much as you loved him in this look, it wasn’t him.
Before he could say anything you reach your hands up to his hair, raking your fingers through his soft strands and ruffling it to its usual messy style. You smile up at him. “Where is your bandana?”
Stunned, Joe reaches into his prince jacket to pull out a bright red bandana and you take it from his hands to tie it around his head.
“It’s a start, but there is my Joe.”
“Y your Joe?” His cheeks flush, a slight smile on his lips, not realizing how good it was to hear you say those words. “I like that.” He extends his hand towards you, which you gladly take.
“Me too.”
Joe pulls you close, resting his other hand on your waist and you place your hand on his shoulder. The sound of a violin playing the beginning of I’ll Be has you shyly tucking your head into his neck as he slowly starts to sway with you.
“I can’t believe you did this for me.”
Joe chuckles, his breath tickling you. “I would do anything for you, Clover. I love you.”
You waited for years to hear him say that and your imagination couldn’t beat the real thing. Blinking to hold back your tears, Joe lifts your head and closes the gap between you two, his lips softly touching yours.
Kissing Tom Sawyer was different than kissing Joe Harper.
And if you had to pick, kissing Joe Harper was infinitely better.
His lips may be cracked, but you didn’t mind when he held you like you were the most precious thing in the world.
When you finally pull apart, you smile as Joe moves forward for more. You needed to breathe, so you peck his lips to satiate him.
“This is everything I wanted and more. Thank you, my prince. I love you.”
Joe smiles and rests his head on yours, swaying you more as the music continues to play. “I love you more.”
The two of you continue to dance for the rest of the night, even when the music stops and your friends, who were on the sides watching their hard work play out, had left, completely content in each other's arms. Never wanting the night to end.

Even though Vlad and Ji Ho thoroughly charged the Bond and Ji Ho feels amazing as always after they made love, the sky is still grey. They (almost) all think Caleb is so hot and amazing, but Ji Ho is dreading his ingame wedding with him. He fears this will tear Vlad and him even further apart. They worked so hard to be together. But Ji Ho will trust Tiny Can. He's the therapist after all. Maybe Vlad will save him like he did on winter solstice, when Caleb wanted to claim him, and it all will be well in the end? It won't help staring into nowhere. It's time to leave and get this over with. Ji Ho took a last glance at sleeping Vlad, sighed and left.
Since Jeb and Kiyoshi don't sleep well since Jack and Saiwa left, they are already sitting at the canal. Jeb was fishing. Ji Ho: "I'm leaving for my first therapy session. Wish me luck."
Jeb hugged him tight: "Good luck. It will all be well in the end, hm?" Ji Ho: "It will, right?" Jeb hugged him a bit tighter.
Ji Ho left. And before Jeb and Kiyoshi went to work, they set up a little goat party place 🎉 just as requested ^^' Little Goat has always the freshest spring water on tap ⛲ They can't wait to have the other goats back here again 🐐
Saiwa and Jack already waited for Ji Ho. Everything is set up for Ji Ho's first Therapy Game session because Jack and Saiwa didn't sleep well either.
So they went upstairs and Ji Ho put on his computer glasses and the robo arm. First Jack and then Saiwa hugged him tight. Saiwa felt bad that Ji Ho enters the game before him, their leader. Saiwa: "I'm so sorry. I should have gone first to ensure that it's safe." Ji Ho: "Don't say that. It's ok that we take some of the burdens off of you. We are a team, right? That's what we promised each other , hm?" Saiwa hugged Ji Ho a bit tighter. Ji Ho had the scent of Jeb all over him. A mix of campfire, herbs - and bliss. Saiwa nearly cried. He misses Jeb so much. Ji Ho tapped Sai's shoulder 3 times: "I can't breathe, Sai..."
And then Ji Ho finally, finally entered his Therapy Game!

Night Light - Will Solace
@solangeloweek
Solangelo Week 2023 Day One!
words: 705
summary: Will Solace adores Nico di Angelo
read on wattpad (and more!)
Will looks over at Nico who is studiously organizing his supply cabinet. A smile pulls at his lips watching his boyfriend; in one of the rare moments where he seems at peace. He remembers Nico telling him he likes “mind-numbing” activities because he could focus on one thing at a time. Nico feels him looking and turns his eyes to him. “What?”
“Nothing,” Will replies, turning back to his supply list. The two are in Wills “office” room–the only private room he allows himself in the infirmary–going through the supplies and seeing what needs to be restocked. Will propped the window open, letting the summer breeze air the room out. (New York I’m sorry you’re in a dystopian society now.)
“Weirdo,” Nico teases. The Cocoa Puffs are jumping excitedly around the room, pleased with the good weather, making happy little trilling noises. Will chuckled at them.
“Are you almost done?” He asks, tearing a sheet off his notepad to give to Chiron.
“Almost,” he replies. One of the Cocoa Puffs walks, waddles, glides? Moves; to help him, picking up small boxes of cleansing supplies and handing them to Nico. Will watches with a smile stretched across his freckled face, “Thank you.” Nico affectionately rubs its little head. He stands and it returns to the others, joining their chorus of trills.
They interlock fingers, Nico glances over his shoulder, making sure the Cocoa Puffs are following safely behind on their walk to the Big House. Wills rubs his thumb over the ridges of Nico’s knuckles. He thinks back to when Ncio gifted his ring to him; how good it felt, still feels, that Nico trusts him that much. “You’re glowing, Nightlight.” Will smiles at the nickname. Nico bumps his shoulder, wrapping his arm around his waist. Will slides his arm over his shoulders.
“I love you.” Will tells him, leaning down to kiss his forehead.
“I love you too.” He replies, tipping his head up, nuzzling Will’s chin.
Will fives his list to CHiron while Ncio goes to visit Mr. D, who is undoubtedly giving him a therapy session. Thanking him, and assuring him that the supplies will be delivered to the camp, Chiron follows Will’s eyes to Nico–who’s running his hand through his hair in a way that puts butterflies in Will’s stomach–and Mr. D. “I’m glad to see him caring for a camper.”
“Yeah.” Replies Will, half absentmindedly. Chiron notices and chuckles.
“He seems happier,” he states. Will turns back to him, not noticing Mr.D’s eyes on him. “You both do.”
“Thanks Chiron.” He hears Mr. D tell Nico to find better things to than bother him and the two leave. “What an affectionate guy.” Will jokes once they get back outside. Nico laughs, Will loves his laugh.
After that night's campfire they both go back to Nicos cabin. “I love sleepover night.” Will giggles, throwing a blanket across Nico’s bed.
“Is that what we’re calling it?” Nico asks, dropping a pillow over the corner of the blanket before flopping down on his bed.
“Yes.” Will replies, plopping down beside him now that the bed nest is complete. Nico smiles at him and brushes a piece of hair from Will’s eyes.
He shifts to turn on the chosen movie of the night before laying back down. The Cocoa Puffs followed in suit, scaling the bedframe to cuddle around Will and Nico. The blonde reaches down, absentmindedly scratching one of the Puffs heads. He gazes at Nico, immersed in the movie already. He looks so content, so at peace, he’s petting the head of the antlered Cocoa Puff, who’s curled up on his stomach.
A warm love spreads through his veins like an injection. It’s the same feeling of love he feels every time Nico comforts him over one of his own nightmares, or when they go on their walks around the camp.
Will looks at him, the darkness he’s learning to love through him, the beautiful parts that Nico di Angelo embodies.
Once again, the pale boy feels his stare, turns to him, blinks through dark eyelashes. “What?” Laughing.
“I love you.”

Stray thoughts about The eighth sense, in no particula order, now that I’ve finished watching:
- The parallel of the therapist and the diner boss? Like this last ep’s scene where Jaewon sat with her and she got answers out of him so casually, it made me think back to their very first appearances on screen, it struck me then how their faces, first the therapist and then the diner lady were cut so close after one another, that I had to rewind a moment to check if they were the same actress at first glance. The function of an experienced older lady friend who is willing to listen to your stories, interested in the youth and their problems, and all the ways therapy/emotional work for growth can look like with a support system? Especially for young men maybe?
- the shots of the therapy sessions mirrored in those glass orbs, that give the association of small bubbles? like small bubbles outside of reality, a mirror to it, focusing some aspects for Jaewon, but being a small enclosed world nonetheless? We see the therapist reflected in those, reachng out, handing over prescriptions? It does feel like a limited reach and inflence, when she is in there, in contrast to when she moves freely in the room like in that last scene of hers with Jaewon, behind him and provoking him from the side, much more an interaction.
- the ocean metaphor with all its facets, if the ocean is life, or emotionality, we have all the variants for Jaewon: the fish tank in therapy as a tamed confined ocean safe to look at, the wild and dangerous waved of the real ocean, that Jaewon surfes and that make him happy, that he seeks out. The Han river and how he dips his toes in in that last ep, reconnecting with waters, emotions, a body of water that is closer within reach...
- in that context also the song Yoon Won sings at the campfire at the beach? about life tossing you inside the waves but that’s okay you will get through it’s just what life is, you can fall, it’s a part of it, also foreshadowing
- Jaewon’s secret photography account as a sign to us that no, his hope and dreams are not dead, just well hidden, but there’s actually a person still under that depression-paralyzed rigidity and frozen exterior
- how Yoon Won’s display of emotionality, there in the club room, her close up tears and struggle is what shakes Jaewon out of his rigor? How the therapist said ‘you are so caught up in your own trauma that you forget others’, and then we see the pain on Yoon Won’s face as she voices her struggles that must be a close mirror to Jaewon’s own emotional inner struggles and monologues, and suddenly, from out of the frame Jaewon reaches in, emphatically responsive in a way he could not fully be with Jihyun a moment before, where he still sat robot like, just holding out to preserve his armor because, not being able to allow that connection just yet, Jihyun is too close still to his own trauma and warped need to protect, but underneath his depression Jaewon is empathic af, and the sincere responsiveness in his reaction then, that maybe is as important for accessing his own healing as it is important for Yoon won?
I’ll surely think of others, but. Man.

ok folks, inspired by This Post (thank you for inspiration and ideas, @agent-p-94/@generalized-incompetence!), i present to you:
brotzly fake dating couple's therapy au; in the form of tumblr messages/a campfire story/an unwitten fic rundown
me: the thing is, they'd PASS
within 10 minutes of knowing each other they'd get so PISSED OFF it'd fill up an entire therapy session
just "YOU NEVER SHUT UP" and "YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME" and "I'VE NEVER MET A DUMBER PERSON" and "I'M SICK TO DEATH OF YOU CRITIQUING MY MUSIC TASTE" and "YOUR DRIVING SKILLS ARE GOING TO GET US KILLED I SWEAR TO GOD" nonstop rapid-fire with therapist barely able to squeeze a "gentlemen, please!" inbetween
and then they'd stumble out of the building and LAUGH, laugh so hard they'd be clinging to each other near falling to the ground, todd croaking that this is the best stress-release activity he'd done in YEARS, dirk clutching his stomach and crying and highlighting the best of todd insults
both would admit this is the BEST first date ever and schedule the next therapy session
every time they'd spend like 10-30 minutes getting to know each other better, and then full 45 just kvetching, sometimes just YELLING at the top of their lungs to their hearts' delight at the therapist office
agent: The best of Todd insults!!! Omg
They just argue nonstop anyway it's just a space to do that
me: and one day dirk would bring in rings, just plain metal ones (but no one has to know), justify that well, if this is a marriage ruse we might as well up our game, right? but he'd be weirdly skittish and self-conscious about it, like he's overstepping an invisible boundary; but todd would be *down* for it — he would be down for most of dirk's stupid bullshit, it's been so long since he's done any proper good shenanigans, since his life was even half this fun!
and then he'd try on the ring and laugh again because it *doesn't fit*, and dirk would get half-jokingly defensive that he didn't know his size!!, and todd would let him take the measuremnts (bc for what purpose would he know his own ring finger size), and dirk's breath would catch holy and uncomfortably
next time, dirk would get him a good, fitting ring, and it'd make weird things shift in his stomach
agent: OR it would be the RIGHT size, holistically
And he's like well I have to wear it now
And maybe they actually stumble upon something real in the middle of it - Dirk is going full monologue about the dishwasher and he says something and todd stops yelling back and looks unusually affected and is like wait...really? And then they just stare at each other for a minute and Todd is like ...I never knew that. And then they stare some more. And then the therapist is like ummm our time is up? I'm just gonna... Go? And then they're really quiet on the drive home but the next morning they have a new understanding
me: DIRK LETTING HIS TRAUMA PEEK THROUGH AND TODD ACCEPTING IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY
it's silent the whole ride, but just before he drops dirk off (dirk had been BANNED from the wheel since their first date/session) he goes "so, this..... [dryly, as not to disturb, sums up dirk's thing] it's real?"
dirk, usually so talkative, just helplessly shrugs, then shakes his head at himself, then somberly nods a few times, confirming that yes.
todd puts a hand on his knee and goes "dude. this is messed up. i'm so sorry."
dirk just nods some more, tearing up, because even though the words are simple, he's never heard anyone say them, never dared to share, and it hits him so deeply and painfully to be finally validated
he stumbles home, and cries for the whole evening, and feels lighter than usual afterwards
agent: The tragicomedy of falling in love with your own husband...........
me: i think for WORST results they agree it's just a fun platonic thing for shits and giggles before they meet up for the first time
and like, in the therapist's office they're this TERRIBLE couple who HATES each other, and outside of it they're just two guys being dudes, and romance, even fake, exists only in glimpses and doorways, and when the pit of longing opens, there's utterly nothing to stuff in it but stolen glances.
farah is the same therapist's normal patient with actual mental health issues she's trying to work through, and when they meet her in the waiting lobby for the first time they UTTERLY FAIL to convince her that their shtick is real, so they resort to *begging* her not to sell them out, and even though she's really on the fence about the whole thing and is unsure if it's morally okay to do, she gives in to dirk's Professional Puppy Eyes
after a while she gets unashamedly invested and demands they fill her in on the newest lies
maybe in one of dirk's bluffs/"attempts to hone the backstory" he invites himself to todd's apartment to better learn his habits and where he lacks in his homesteading
("well, when do i get to learn what chores do *you* fuck up?" todd asks playfully
"oh, just all of them!" dirk answers nonchalantly
in truth, he just doesn't want todd to see his barely lived-in, depressinly dirty short-term rented apartment. in the time dirk's been here, this city hasn't started feeling any more like a home.
in truth, dirk posted that stupid craigslist ad on his first week here, drunk and lonely and in mood for hijinks and out of his mind desperate for human connection; todd was actually looking for some simple one-off jobs to earn some quick buck, but couldn't resist a Stupid Idea when it dangled itself in his face)
todd gives him a quick tour, dirk half-heartedly criticizes the 3 dirty dishes in the sink and the mildly overflowing laundry hamper, and then for most of the evening they drink beer and play card games with todd's trusty ratty 10 years old deck that misses a jocker and a two of hearts (they decide to forgo the twos altogether) but overall is fine, dirk teaches him a couple of weird local games he'd picked up over the years, then tries to do card tricks but gets half of them wrong, they laugh a lot, todd makes grilled cheese, dirk says that if they ever feel the need to add a dash of appreciation into their sessions — just for some contrast and zest — then he'll admit that he *adores* todd's cooking, todd smiles bashfully and says man that's just some grilled cheese it's not that big of a deal
they pass out on the couch together, and dirk wakes up with a sore neck, sour mouth, and entangled limbs, and feels so at peace and right, and doesn't move, wishes for todd to sleep for longer, just so they could stay like this
then they find out todd doesnt have a spare toothbrush, so dirk has to make do with some gum while todd apologizes profusely
todd's got a shift in the late morning, so they do an awkward half-hug with back-patting, and dirk leaves
when dirk's getting himself a late breakfast at the corner store, he almost buys himself a toothbrush to keep in todd's apartment; then discards the thought; then buys it anyway, but tells himself it's a spare one for his own home, for when he'll need to throw the old one out. he never brings up the toothbrush thing around todd.
also he thinks it's a shame he couldn't brush his teeth, because then he could've kissed todd without worrying about bad breath; he discards that thought even quicker and farther
during one of the sessions, todd accidentaly makes a comment that actually gets to dirk, that makes him feel self-conscious and inadequate and upset
after they've done for the day, dirk asks if this is how todd *really* feels about him?.. todd says no, of course not! all of this is in good fun, just a friendly yelling match. he'd never say *anything* with an actual intention to hurt dirk; now that dirk brought that comment up, todd's never going to repeat it
"you seem like a good guy, you know? i genuinely like you," todd says
dirk feels very very warm
and maybe they sometimes spend time after the sessions too, and sometimes even on free days, just hanging out, relaxed and having fun, enjoying the company
and maybe one day it goes a little too well, and dirk gets a little too brave, and admits to todd that he's started feeling some kind of romantic interest, and asks if he would maybe like an actual date some other time
todd snaps at him.
tells dirk that he's only seen glimpses of todd, that these joke-sessions and little hang-outs show almost nothing of the real him, that he's a *mess*, that dirk doesn't know what he's getting himself into and should back off, that todd's a horrible person who's not worth the trouble
dirk tries to get to him, but todd gets even more defensive, even more closed off, pushes him away, makes that awful painful comment he'd promised he wouldn't say.
they don't show up for the next session.
dirk mops by the building on the scheduled day anyway, because he dislikes his routines disrupted when it's not him doing that, and because he's got nowhere to go, and because he secretly hopes todd will come around anyway (he doesn't.)
he meets farah after her actual session: she's had a Bad one today and is distraught, and dirk suggests they get hammered together. farah thinks it's an unhealthy coping mechanism, but after all of 15 seconds of deliberating she agrees
then she cries into his shoulder about her family and expectations and failed police exams and that she's a *failure* and will never get better, and he shakes her by the shoulders and near-yells that she's AMAZING, and fuck her family, and all cops are bastards anyway! she gets affronted and mentions her brothers and father, then realizes those people Are fucking bastards, then laughs and agrees with dirk and cries some more
dirk spills his entire conundrum, start to finish, only 5 useless tangents for the length of the whole thing which is not too bad of a ratio by his own measures, and farah tells him that todd's bullshit is Bullshit, capital B! if therapy taught her *anything* is that any person is capable of change ("you don't need to change yourself though," dirk pipes up; "YEAH, IM FUCKING PERFECT!" farah answers triumphantly), that this is just stupid excuses for excuses! (yeah!) and if dirk thinks that *farah*, with All her failures and fuck-ups, is not a lost cause (of course not!), then neither is todd! (damn, you're making a point!)
they swap some more personal stories, farah almost has a lesbian crisis in front of him but decides to throw up instead, and they leave the bar mostly in good spirits
dirk sleeps all of it off, but the next morning, even though Severely Hangover, he is no less determined.
he stakes out todd's apartment building (he did drop him off the first time; and even though he doesn't remember the adress for shit after all this time, he Luckes Out [after stubbornly cruising the general area for two hours straight])
and confronts him. tells todd that their friendship has been meaningful for dirk, no matter how little todd might think of it. (todd winces. he doesn't say it, but all of this was close to his heart too; he never meant to come off like he did, save for coming clean as an asshole; he *does* care about dirk, rather unreasonably much.) that dirk doesn't ask todd to give *him* a chance, but give *himself* a chance. that no person is irredeemable.
todd is eerily quiet. he invites dirk in, makes him some tea. sits silently at the table for a few minutes. and then, it all spills out: what he'd done to his band, to his *sister*, to himself; what a true actual hopeless horrible Asshole he is. he gets almost angry halfway through, voice rising, — either at dirk or at himself, it's not clear. dirk sits it all out. tells todd that is isn't the worst it could've been. todd begins to snap at him, but bites his mouth, and just buries his head in his arms, hiding. his head is so very heavy. dirk gives him a small solemn lecture about how past perfomance is not a predictor of future results, how it's never late to just *stop* being an asshole. how he's dirk's friend, how he's been kind to him, and dirk trusts him to continue to be kind, to build his life forward. ("*kind* to you? after i'd said that [hurtful thing] — the second time, *deliberately?" todd is bitter and baffled. "i forgive you for it. that's what friends do." dirk says like it's obvious). dirk places his trust in todd. todd struggles to process all that, he just lies on the table neither crying nor breathing; dirk talks to fill up the space, and to make good use of his trust. he tells todd all about his childhood trauma, in great, visceral detail, like he's pulling his guts out; he starts crying halfway through. todd hugs him really, really hard, and doesn’t let go for a while.
todd promises he'll come clean to amanda. dirk promises he'll start looking into therapy for his cptsd. they promise to each other they're friends, best friends.
they come in for the last fake-session with that therapist, just to tie a pretty bow on this whole thing: to tell them they're finally getting divorced, and will not require their services anymore. poor person breaks with an actual heavy sigh of *relief*.
dirk starts seeing a new therapist — not this one, thankfully; farah recommends him an old one she used to work with. she couldn't quite find a good rhythm with him, but she thinks he might be a nice match for dirk. he ends up being exactly that.
todd isn't yet ready for therapy, and dirk is accepting of that. amanda's not talking to him anymore, and he's *not* taking it in stride, but he's holding up as best as he can, and dirk holds his hand through it.
they do have an Actual Date with Romantic Intenstions — it goes remarkably well, even though they bicker for half the duration of it. it's all in good fun <3
they don't wear the rings anymore, but keep them as a memento; both feel weirdly sentimental about them. dirk does finally buy a new toothbrush for himself to keep in todd's apartment.
farah does end up having a lesbian crisis in front of her therapist, the one that todd and dirk have been torturing. poor soul.

HAPPY STS!
If you were to do an “Anniversary Story”, for a (insert number of years of writing stories, songs, ETC), what would your “Anniversary Story” be about? What would you include in the story?
RAMBLE ABOUT IT!
Happy STS!
I think i would do some kind of "10 years later" type deal with the characters just being found family together and happy and joking around and just getting to be happy in general.
For FSF, it would look like a bunch of them visiting each others houses/castles and relaxing together. Probably at Raven's parents' house because that's were the best food is and the inn is big enough for all of them to stay for a while. Lots of stories by the campfire and just being happy together. They're all older and still affected by the trauma they experienced, but they're happy.
For TCIO, it would look like the hero team training a new generation of heroes in their much bigger and highly advanced hero guild base. No action or danger really, just them being happy together and messing around and fighting over something stupid. Nickelle would reluctantly be going to her court mandated therapy sessions because she's going back to prison if she doesn't XD.
For Galaxy Destroyer, it looks something like the crew settling down on a small backwater planet somewhere, relaxing while they let the kid play in the sun. Maybe taking up some small jobs to make money and keep dangerous people away while they live out their lives on the little farm and the kid knows what it's like to play freely in the sun. Something cute like that.
Thank you @helathorloki !

So if Taylor Swift did a secret session for Folklore this is how I think it would go. First she invite about 50 swifties in the woods in Tennessee by her beautiful mansion. She would have a bright fire burning with high quality wooden stools in front of the big campfire. By each wooden stool would be a wool blanket with tissues and hand warmers, a blue tin cup, and finally cardigans. After everybody had a sit, she come out and in a beautiful long dress with a cardigan and her hair up in a messy bun but with some golden ringlets coming out in a fashionable way. She would have two pearl bracelets on one wrist and a jade bracelet on the left. Taylor would be holding a glass of champagne and smile and wave at everyone. One of her assistants would pour hot apple cider for everyone in their blue tin cups and offer maple cinnamon cookies to everyone, which Taylor baked herself because she is a fantastic baker. Taylor would make sure everyone is warm and cozy, and immediately stopping of anyone is not. She would sit in a big wooden chair with a gray big blanket draped on it. Taylor would continue to play her whole album Folklore and personally hugging each fan if they staring to cry at a specific song and offer them a cinnamon gum drop or a box of tissues. At the end she would have a personal therapy session with each fan, with wine for fans over 21 and hot chocolate or apple cider for minors. In my opinion, Taylor would be a great therapist, she is so loyal, considerate, and offer great advice. What do you think of this secret session idea?

Review: Ainsley Costello’s newest pop anthem ‘People Pleaser’ finds confidence in bold sound and putting herself first
Nashville based pop artist Ainsley Costello has made quite a splash since her musical debut in 2019, finding her feet through more indie and folk-y tracks made for lighthearted dance and singalongs or campfire memories. But now that we enter 2024, Ainsley has really began to solidify her sound that’s perfect for fans of Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift and MUNA, delivering catchy hooks with bold sound and a unique presence of her own.
Perfect for releasing bottled-up feelings and freeing yourself of emotions that can feel debilitating, ‘People Pleaser’ is one hell of an anthem to belt out as loud as possible, finding some solace in the fact you’re not alone in the restrictive internal need to please everyone around you. While the topic might be on the heavier side, nothing about the sound is anything close to that, opening through the bubbliest rising pop beats that are eager to draw you in and get you swaying along. With a dreamy guitar riff, clashing drums and whirring synth backing sounds, everything about the sound is easy on the ears and progressively building from the beginning, setting up an atmosphere that’s at first a little intimate before crashing into one hell of a chorus. Releasing all these difficult thoughts, Ainsley cathartically bursts open wearing her heart on her sleeve with a sound that matches her confidence and frustrations perfectly. With thrashing drums, guitar strums and a low riff, the sound is dominant and loud, finally eager to gain your attention for something that’s for no-one but herself — a moment than in itself is utterly monumental. Ainsley’s vocals match the energy throughout too, at first timid and held back but she definitely comes out of her comfort zone for the choruses’ much-needed outburst, really showing off powerful, empowering vocals with some serious range and agility.
The lyricism is deeply resonant too, exploring such a difficult internalised struggle with not just the ability to make it catchy and fun, but also with some serious insight and depth to it too. Through the opening line there’s no doubt where she stands, admitting ‘if it was what you’d like I’d do it, even if I was not into it’, never wishing to stand up for her own wishes, simply moulding herself to suit those around her. Reflecting in the pre-chorus, she continues ‘I’ve been asking my therapist if I’m a people pleaser’ , the question alone seeking reassurance of some kind too. Everything about it feels rooted in the desire to be what everyone else needs, afraid of what may happen if she simply exists as herself. It feels personal as every word lingers, clearly hesitant and pained with some of her own experiences too, but that just makes it all the more impressive as Ainsley finds her way to the other side. Later down the line, one of the most prominent lines really emphasises that fact, questioning ‘will you hate me because of it? let me check with my therapist.’ With something so universally relatable, it’s impressive how much ‘People Pleaser’ can both comfort anyone, and simultaneously feel like an experience that’s so clearly Ainsley’s in itself. Her words cut deep and carry so much behind them, but that makes them all the more powerful as she burns brightly in her own right.
Adding her own thoughts to it, Ainsley adds “People Pleaser is an empowerment anthem. It’s about reclaiming your self-worth and setting boundaries. But it’s also a fun ride, it feels like leaving a cathartic therapy session and coasting down the PCH soaking up the sunshine with the top down. It’s a confidence booster song for sure”.
Keep listening to everything ‘People Pleaser’ has to offer here, it’s a slice of indie-pop you’ll never get enough of.

On quiet months when Essek and Caleb have found nothing morally dubious to get up to, the meetings are roughly half self parody
Caleb confesses to giving 4 different students B- on their essays because he didn’t want to read them (Beau declares this Base Treachery and demands punishment. Fjord and Caduceus overrule her)
Essek will, with great solemnity and purpose, confess to grand and terrible deceptions he’s been pulling on everyone he meets (Caduceus is the one to twig that he means using Disguise Self so no one knows who he is)
30% of Caleb’s actual real dilemmas have to do with his two exes, Astrid and Wulf, and how he’s in more contact with them now and they want him to do Wizard Crime
These sessions devolve into Caddy Led Relationship Therapy and Jester, Yasha, and Kingsley are called in to enjoy the ongoing drama
Essek refuses to do anything but watch and grin at Caleb while all his friends methodically rank his exes by fuckability and argue about where on the scale they need to be for him to do evil with them
Once, for a joke, Caleb brings Astrid before the Wizard Morality Committee. Some undecipherable shenanigans later, she is a regular for dinner at Beau and Yasha’s more than Caleb is
Only Caduceus dares tell her she’s Doing A Bad; Beau is a hopeless lesbian under all that step on me energy and Fjord, while telling himself he’s totally not scared she’ll give him the Look, only nods silently and looks stern while Caddy does the talking
For some reason this makes Caddy her favourite
Eadwulf BEGS to go before the council next month and spends the entire time shamelessly flirting and “confessing his sins” to Caduceus and Fjord
Jester encourages this wholeheartedly by telling Wulf all of Fjord’s favourite positions
The committee only has actual serious business when the boys have been off in Aeor and are considering the implications of resurrecting particularly fucked up ancient magic
(Veth’s reports on these occasions are still exaggerated to either make it seem much better or much worse than it really is, whether she was present or knows what’s happening or not. She seems to believe her only role is comic relief, not the occasional war crimes)
Veth is the one who gets actual rulings from the committee most often, usually in the form of Caduceus telling her that no they should not be using Fireball to light the big campfire at the end of camp
She insists this is not a magic ruling and she doesn’t have to listen
(Beau reminds Caleb that if he casts the Fireball, he does have to answer to the committee)
I gave myself a new Critical Role headcannon in part 2 of my M9 wizards trying hard not to treat Ashton like a specimen comic: The Mighty Nien Wizard Morality Committee.
Now that my brain has a new toy, it won't let me rest until I flesh it out.
The Wizard Morality Committee meets each month at the Mighty Nein get-together. It is comprised of Caduceus, Beau, and Fjord.
There were a few bumps in choosing the members.
Yasha recused herself.
Kingsley decided this was above his paygrade, and he'd be over there drinking instead. Plus, he's in charge of Jester distraction.
Veth is not allowed to pass judgement because she's often the one being yelled at. (Yeza may or may not be an informant)
Jester was considered, but wasn't allowed for two reasons. 1. There was an underlying fear that she might agree to something she shouldn't because of the pranking opportunities. 2. Both wizards are so worried about what Jester thinks of them, there's no way they'd be completely honest. No one could figure out how to say that to her or curb her enthusiasm. The official reason is that "but if you join, we'll have an even number. And it needs to be odd, so there can't be a tie." Kingsley quickly picked up on the real issue and started in on how boring the whole thing sounds anyway and pulled her into figuring out what fun things they could do while "the boring people are talking." No one knows for sure what Jester does/doesn't know about why she's not on the committee, but she seems happy with it.
Veth's condition for allowing them to tell her what to do is that they can only weigh in on magic matters. They have no say in alchemy or fluffernutter.
There is a very high probability that this will turn into a series of jokes with one of the above pictures being the punch line. Open to suggestions of what morally dubious research (or not-age appropriate camp magic lessons) the two or three are up to.
