I might've added the BG3 Art Book to my dnd assets stash
It' 100% does not have things like the 5e players' handbook + 5e’s character sheet, several gm guides, critical role's explorer's guide to wildmount, baldur's gate and waterdeep city encounters, 101 potions and their effects, volo's guide to monsters, both of xanathar's guides, a bunch of other encounters, one shots, and class builds
In no way are there any pdf’s relating to any wizard who may or may not be residing on any coast
(Edit that I’ve moved the folder to the new link above! So if you catch a different version of this post that link won’t work anymore!)

I will likely never use it but now I want to make a grief domain cleric that's primarily for a healer's build...and uses a nerfed version of the banshee wail spell from pathfinder at higher levels.
#excuse me but ive got nothing to do at work today so i think im going to do it...#campaign: no story here#s/o to that despair domain homebrew that's inspired it

It's looking like there's a growing divide between Campaign watchers and Tlovm watchers in terms of like. We're here for the characters. 12-episode seasons aren't. They can't be. I'm already making peace with everything we'll lose in the Mighty Nein show, and I know I will enjoy it for what it is but I also know that almost nothing that made the story so special will translate to the screen, because turning it into a show automatically means (in this day and age) that plot must be the number one priority. They've already come out and told us it's going to be different, the characters we know and love but new stories.
Because that's how this has to work. And I feel bad for campaign one lovers, because while it is certainly the easier of the two to translate to a big, overarching story, even though it's a more "traditional" high fantasy story with easier archetypal characters, the archetypes and the plot aren't what cemented most people's love for the campaign. So much of the love for critical role is stored in the interpersonal dynamics and the payoff that comes from hundreds of hours of tiny interactions that one day become cornerstones of development and even affect or dictate the plot.
There's no room for that. There's no room for Bard's Lament in a story that cannot afford to remove and replace a main character. A lot of tlovm is for people who have been here for all of campaign one. Most of it, however, isn't. It's for a new crowd. While CR may have creative control, you can bet your ass that there were months and years devoted to figuring out how to map a character-focused love of the show into a plot that hits the right beats to be viable in the show market.
And it worked. Tlovm has consistently high viewing numbers, and its popularity has brought and will continue to bring new people into the universe who have never interacted with CR previously. That's not a bad thing - imagine finishing your favorite show and discovering it has another FIVE HUNDRED HOURS of the equivalent of behind the scenes content. That's incredible for these newcomers. But man, it is in many ways a loss for us.
#Tlovm spoilers#In some ways it's like looking into a dark mirror#And this is again with a story that's relatively easy to plot with clear arcs and themes#The mighty Nein was a sandbox that was entirely character driven in terms of where they went and what they did#It has a few loose arcs but even the fact that molly died so early#The fact that he haunts the remainder of the show#That's going to be lost. Its impact on Yasha and on beau who spends the rest of the campaign looking for a chance to do what he did#The fact that his death tied narratively into Caleb getting the spell for their hut - their home - and nearly crying#Knowing he had a way to keep them safe after they lost one#None of that is plottable#I'm losing my thread of thought and I have to work but. I don't even know if sad is the right word#Because CR has gotten so far. So much further than anything of its kind.#There is much joy here and I will adore seeing the Nein#But it's okay to acknowledge that capitalism strips away the ability to focus on the heart of critical role#And that's why the live play media is so special#That's literally what makes it special and what makes the story so impactful#Critical role

#one of our campaign's players didn't have time & desire to continue with us anymore which is a shame#she was a good friend and we were a really tight knit group once. It has been a though year seeing her slowly go#but the DM @artist-rat decided that we will continue without her nevertheless so Rhiam's story doesn't end here <3#c: Rhiam#story: Heartland#dnd#ttrpg

So I had a bad feeling that our DM would make Knashthra a creation of a Black Book and last night confirmed it and I can't decide if I want to kill him or not.
#on the upside the ppl were real which was another concern of mine#what if they were all made up by the book too. you know?#cant decide if them being subtly influenced by the book is better or worse#anyway so i think im going to kill my dm#campaign: no story here#campaign: the coming of the dark

I’m really really curious how Pike’s arc is going to go in the next couple of seasons.
By this point in the campaign she was rebuilding the Everlight’s temple in Vasselhiem. She’d reconciled, working along side her goddess to help bring some worship back.
In the show, shes rejected her. She doesn’t wear her symbol around her neck anymore. We already had the reconciliation, Pike wasn’t forced to choose anything, only to be true to herself. But, after the conversation with Zerxus, she’s rejected Sarenrae again.
I’m so so curious where this is going later. Pike’s relationship with the everlight is such an important piece of her character and has had a pretty significant impact as far as C3. What’s the plan for the show now? Pike seems to be of special blood, something the Whispered One needs for some purpose (as teased by Zerxus). Is pike going to need to make up with her goddess? Have we abandon her completely? Pike’s powers don’t seem to have gone away?
Can’t wait for season 4.
#I’m not particularly pro or anti god in C3. I’m just here for the fantastic story#this has been such an interesting change in the show over the tabletop. HUGE implications for pickle later down the line#personally. i like the changes to the show. it would be a little boring if it was just the campaign again#there’s so many new characters and so much new lore from later games. it’s fun to be kept guessing#lovm spoilers#lovm s3#lovm season 3#tlovm season 3#tlovm spoilers#critical role tlovm#critical role spoilers#critical role campaign 3#critical role#critical role downfall

sorry if this is a dumb question , I’m new to twisted wonderland. I was wondering if you knew what dates classify as early to mid to late [month]? i like sebek’s armor card but it says it’s not coming till late November. Are there specific dates or timeframes i can look forward to?
hello! 💚💚💚 it sounds like you're on Eng and my experience is with JP (so if I'm wrong, somebody please correct me!), but assuming they work similarly -- when they say "late" in the month it's usually closer to the end of the month, like from the 20th or later. vagueness is unfortunately the norm there!
the tricks to get a better idea of when exactly an event will happen is 1) events are listed in the order they'll come, so seeing where it falls in relation to characters' birthday events can tell you that it will happen either before or after a specific date, and 2) check the end date/time of the currently-running event, because most often the next event will start right after, with a short maintenance inbetween (this doesn't count birthday pickups, because they have specific dates they gotta cover so they just run at the same time as other events). there's the occasional exception, but it's usually a safe assumption!
I checked the Eng news and it looks like you'll be getting a joint exam event that'll end on the 25th at 10:59 PM PST, so I'd guess 7.6 and Sebek's armor pickup will start a few hours later once the maintenance is done! fingers crossed that's correct, I am VERY excited for you guys to get this one :D :D :D
#twisted wonderland#joseimuke games are serious business#like over here we got a training camp that ends on the 22nd so i am hanging all my hopes on getting 7.11 then#🤞🤞🤞#also tangential but this is how i discover that eng gets like#actual site updates with announcements of game updates and events in the news section#what on earth#the jp website updates once every million years and it certainly doesn't keep a nice organized record of anything#like the last three updates are one in september to talk about upcoming merch#one in june apologizing for an audio glitch and asking people not to harass the voice actors about it (yikes people)#and one in april inexplicably announcing the main story progress campaign (this may be the only in-game event to be acknowledged on-site)#if you want any info on past events you either gotta dig through the twitter archives (horrible) or go to fansites#props to whoever is running the eng site. that is such a nice resource to have#call me smuckers because i am legit jelly right now

is this overkill for a stupid silly iterator story? Yeah absolutely. But i meant to make a more simple map and got too into it... this isn't supposed to be 100% realistic but more give a general feel for the regions and Vibes

I still can’t believe marvel had Steve tell Natasha he could only really see himself with someone with ‘shared life experience’ (5 seconds after they literally kissed) and then had the two of them practically glued together for literal years (in this movie and in every other movie after it), only to not even seem to consider them as a potential couple/love story
#name another example of that whole ‘kissing so we don’t blow our cover’ thing where they don’t get together afterwards#not only did they have over a decade of shared life experience#neither one of them ever got paired up with someone who comes close to that#make it make sense#they were in love idc#marvel’s commitment to halfassing most of their love stories and expecting us to care about them will never not annoy me#like we need relationship development here#they started off so well with pepperony#and it all (mostly) went downhill from there#catws should’ve been a soft launch for romanogers that led to them getting together in aou or another later movie#I mean it felt like one anyway#then iw was all like “they’ve been on the run together for two years and now they won’t leave each others sides#they’re giving off major couple vibes this whole movie#then it seemed like they realized what they did and were like#wait does that mean we left the two alone at the compound for five years#oh no not the *implications*#umm wait I guess Steve abadones her now#like what was that bs#just let them be together#also let’s start a campaign for James Roger’s to join the mcu’s young avengers#just while we’re at it#romanogers#steve rogers#natasha romanoff#captain america#black widow#stevenat#capwidow

actually you know what
can we not tag Downfall as EXU: Downfall
this is a part of campaign three, not a separate series. this is critical to the storyline of this campaign. there’s a reason its episodes 99, 100, and 101.
it’s not exandria unlimited.
it’s campaign three.
edit: YES it’s standalone, but it is inextricably linked into this campaign !! its still not exu — both can exist!!!
#critical role#downfall#gripes that no one else gives a shit about#the bells are HERE they are watching WITH us#this story WILL impact the rest of the campaign to an unknown degree#its c3!!! this is what matt meant by all bets are off!!!#it’s not exu

Character Sheets and character creation →
When creating a character, there’s a lot of questions you ask yourself. Whether it’s an original character or one you’ve been playing for a long time, using a character sheet to get to know your character better can always be a nice idea. With it’s help, you’ll be able to think about things you didn’t necesarily thought about, and ask some important questions to yourself that might activate your character’s voice, or help you to get your muse back with them. Everyone has their favorite character sheets, some people prefer to have a lot of questions, some others like it a bit more vague, so here’s a masterlist of the character sheets I found on various websites and found quite interesting, plus some other things that could be used to help you see, for example, how other character view yours.
Blank Character Sheet (+370 Questions)
Abridged Character Sheet (100 Questions)
Big-Ass Character Sheet
Character Creation Form
Character Sheet by Jody Hedlund
Creating a character Bio Sheet
Character Analysis Worksheet
100 Character Development questions for writers
Create a Character Profile
Character Development Worksheet
Original Character Bio-Sheet
Character Chart for Fiction Writers
A Character Chart By Charlotte Dillon
Fiction Writer’s Character Chart
Detailed Character Sheet
Character Sheet Template
Character Twenty-Question Worksheet
In-Depth Character Sheet
Character Worksheet
Character Interview Sheet (First Person)
Background Questionnaire (First Person)
Characters Perceptions (How do other people perceive your character?)
With these sheets, you could also try to find your character’s Jung and Enneagram Type or use the Moral Alignment tool. All of these things can be really useful to get a better grip on a character.
Then, if you’re trying to create a character, and do not have many ideas, or get stuck, I’d suggest for you to roam around TVTropes, which gives you a lot of tropes used for character creation. Maybe you could try to mix a few of these and create an original character?
Or, if you’re a skillful writer and know how to make your character different from another, make a list of characters in fiction you happen to find interesting and why. Try to keep it short. Then, maybe, try to mix and match things from two or three characters, take a character and change their backstory, to see what would change. Play with them to inspire yourself and create something new, original and truly yours.
Oh, and here’s a little guide to Mary-Sues and OCs, just in case you want to make sure your character isn’t going to become a Mary-Sue or a Gary-Stu
And last but not least, this article about building fictional character definitely seemed interesting to me, and is full of many other links that could guide you during the creating of your character and help you file one of these sheets.
