Ishgardian Nobility - Osric grew up in and around Ishgard’s nobility. After several years away he returned to the fold and only recently stepped away after his divorce. If you’ve spent some time within those self-same circles you may have come across him from time to time. 

Military Service - As was expected of him, Osric was part of the military force defending Ishgard, a former Dragoon, prior to abruptly leaving under undisclosed circumstances. If one was part of the service during the same time period there’s the off chance that you’ve crossed paths.

Wandering Mercenary - After leaving Ishgard, Osric worked with different mercenary groups without settling with any particular group until the last four years. This led to him meeting a significant number of people, albeit only briefly, as he rarely stayed in one place for more than a few days.

Changing Paths - A recent near death experience, his divorce from his now ex-wife, and the birth of his children (all within a handful of months) have led Osric to re-evaluating and making some changes. He’s moved away from fighting on the front lines and has moved towards a supportive role - in either developing and training troops (which he was assisting with prior to the divorce) and now in breeding and training wolves to assist in battle or simply for protection.

In-game RP or Google docs (or whatever platform one prefers to use rather than Google docs) is preferable - Discord can be utilized as a last resort if necessary.

Active and clear communication (For a variety of different reasons, whether that’s in regards to boundaries and preferences or for scheduling purposes -ie - my work schedule can be a bit hectic and clear communication makes setting things up, especially in game things, much easier.)

To engage and collaborate, with the main goals being character growth, engagement and really…to have fun.

I know they're going to change Sophie I just hope they don't change everything about her. If they want to make her queer that's cool. But I will be mad if they decide they go the Strong Female Not Like The Other Girls path. That's not Sophie. This girl punched her abuser because she got sick of her mistreating her daughter.

I understand and I'm sure they won't change her personality that much, Sophie is such a resilient and kind character.

honestly don't want to get into this conversation other than to say that there is something about losing the trust of the audience and never getting it back that Bridgerton needs to work on. With time and a lot of space, I've come to understand that what was done to Michael obliterated the trust that both sides of the discourse had towards the showrunners. Which could have been avoided if there was some sort of build up towards the reveal of Michaela being a woman, maybe John could have talked about his female cousin, or maybe we could have seen some mention of a female Stirling in previous seasons.

The thing about Penelope as a love interest, is that there was a lot of build up there to position her as a love interest. Simon was introduced directly as the main romanceable character of S1 and Kate's appearance, was foreshadowed all the way to the end of s1, to the point where her appearance in s2 was expected and welcome. The show has worked to establish a void that needed to be filled in the lives of Anthony, Colin and Benedict that foreshadowed the appearance and personality of their love interest in the course of 3 seasons.

Francesca, had none of that. Furthermore the appearance of her future love interest, without any foreshadowing or previous build up, obliterated the trust the audience had in the show, when it came to future love interests. Springing a jack in the box love interest 'surprise' is only good if the surprise is something the receiver was actually looking forward to, because you let off a hint here and there. This surprise had about the same effect as a surprise marriage proposal from a person you're not sure you want to spend the rest of your life with (No shade to Penelope tho).

I keep hearing things like 'will Sophie be changed to Cressida?' or 'Will Sophie even be a woman?' and a lot of other things that basically boil down to the same question 'What will happen to Sophie? because the showrunners just proved we can't trust them anymore' and my honest reply is that, like all of you, I don't know either. There is a lot of uncertainty, that has been growing and growing ever since the show started changing major plotlines in s2, and culminated with that sucker punch to viewers trust in s3. You all have a right to be worried, I am too, for all we know Sophie could be changed into Cressida, Sienna or Theo, they could bring in Hunter Schafer to play Sophie just as they could Brandy Norwood, Manny Hacinto or Camilla Cabello. The possibilities are endless, some people will like it some will not, the common denominator is that those endless possibilities were created by breaking the viewer trust in the show's capabilities of making a book accurate adaptation. Some of you are okay with that some of you are not.

Either way, whatever they do will be what Nextflix and the Bridgerton showrunners want, depending on a multitude of factors (timing, money, covid, many script rewrites, money, which executive got dismissed and which got hired in the HR department, did I mention money), factors that, as has been proven time and time again, have nothing to do with the viewer wishes.

So if you're one of those viewers who has seen the stars align and with your wishes and the wishes of the showrunners powers that be, congratulations.... you've hit the jackpot, and all future Bridgerton seasons will be exactly as you want them to be. Oh.. do I hear a smidge of uncertainty from you too, dear viewer who was completely satisfied last season and got everything they wanted?. What do you mean you also don't trust the show to deliver on what they promised in s4? I'm sorry I can't help you, must be some sort of fluke in the matrix.

As for the rest of us, who have gone trough our share of highs and lows, and especially to the Benophie nation, all I can say is to stay strong and hope that good things will happen in the s4 production. We got 2 years, Sophie may not be what we all expect, but we will love her anyway, or at the very least, we will support whoever the show casts as Sophie.

But wait, I hear you ask, who's Humperdinck? only a fool would forget to cast the villain! but do I look like a FOOL to you??? Villains in Muppet Movies are always played by humans! I'm open to suggestions but I think it would be fun to have a traditional Lanky White Man With Strange Cheekbones And Long Black Hair play Humperdinck. Benedict Cumberbatch, Adam Driver, Chris Pine With A Wig, and Tom Hiddleston are all viable options.

I know you're ready to criticize me, but imagine Piggy about to stab herself since she can't be with Kermit, only to hear "there's a shortage of perfect pork loin. It'd be a shame to damage yours." Or watching Kermit fight Gonzo and Fozzie, then do a battle of the wits with Rizzo. Statler and Waldorf bickering about how much they hate Humperdinck and whether Kermit is worth reviving. After he's revived when he's too weak to move, only Kermit's head is puppeted so his limbs flop wildly.

Alternatively maybe it's short for Euphrasie, the French form of Euphrasia, "good cheer" in Greek

Mirtala - possibly related to "myrtle", as in the plant; compare Spanish and Italian "Mirta"

Queepie - I don't think this is a real name but "queep" is a way of writing out a bird chirp

Cassie - usually short for Cassandra, possibly derived from "to excel, to shine"

Helmut - possibly "whole mind" or "whole spirit", potentially "brave helmet" (Proto-Germanic or Middle High German)

Lucrecia - alternate (predominantly Spanish) spelling of "Lucretia", an ancient Roman name potentially meaning "profit". Notably Lucretia was the name of a Roman noblewoman whose tragic death was said to have sparked a rebellion that led to Rome becoming a republic. WARNING for sexual violence and suicide if you choose to look that up)

Bob - short for Robert, "bright fame" (Germanic)

Mithra - "oath" in Avestan (an Old Iranian language); the name of a Zoroastrian deity of light, justice, and friendship

Rokel - potentially from "Rockel", a German habitational name or a name meaning someone who bakes with rye

Gristol - not a real name but compare "grist", unground grain that's been separated from its chaff (the inedible parts, the word chaff is also used figuratively to mean something worthless or unwanted), used in the phrase "grist for the mill" meaning something is useful (particularly knowledge, experience, or information)

My dream ending for Spy x Family would be world peace with White Haired (due to stress) Loid and Bob Cut (work accident) Yor being a real couple under the Briar name and having a real wedding ceremony. Agent Twilight getting the recognization he lowkey wanted and becoming the new Handler. Thorn Princess can finally retire and take a break.

Then in the future Damian marrying Anya and joining HER family because he is happier with them. He also becomes a great politician who is focused on children’s wellbeing, Anya takes care of multiple orphanages and he takes care of neglected children. She is his secret weapon for success and he just offers her everything she asks for.

Their goal is to make a world where children don’t cry. They created scholarships for orphans with potential who would love to study in Eden and they act like parents for the first meeting. They are that power couple who is very famous and well loved by the people, Anya’s bubbly personality always compliments Damian’s sophisticated image.

They are backed up by very important personalities like the Blackbell’s heiress or Benedict is-a-good-fella.

Damian’s views are very different from the Desmond party and his father is not happy and ostracized him. Demetrius is secretly happy for Damian and chooses to leave him alone for his piece.

By joining the Briar family I don’t mean just Anya, Bond, Loid and Yor. I also mean Franky, Fiona, Yuri (and his family), Sylvia, Becky and everyone who is very attached to Anya, including Henderson. Even Camilla and Dominic are part of the family. They are all this one big clan that have a lot of influence in Ostania and Westalis.

Damian inherited a large property from Melinda and he decided to use it as a main residence for his entire family. There’s enough rooms for everyone whether they want to live there or they’re just on a vacation. Yor got her own garden and she grows vegetables she can cooks with her husband, they tried to make their own wine. Franky works on his technology stuff. Sylvia walks the dogs every morning and spends a lot of time with the Briar children. Auntie Camilla comes every 20th of the month to enjoy the pool with Auntie Becky. People just come and go, the mansion is always loud and busy. Uncles Emile and Ewen visiting with crazy gifts for everyone. Old man Henderson scolding and being grumpy every time he sees a lack of elegance.

Yor and Loid are the coolest grandparents ever, in comparison of how strict Damian and Anya can be (ironically). They adopted children and got two biological children accidentally but they don’t treat them differently. Funny enough, the biological children are not academically smart at all and collect Tonitrus bolts like badges of honor. Their eldest child is extremely mature, smart and composed, admires his grandparents and is insecure about going back to the orphanage.

Anya’s younger sibling is raised alongside with the new generation babies because Loid and Yor had a small drunk smooching session. The kid came very late and have a huge age gap with Anya, he has the Briar siscon syndrome. He has a 2-3 year gap with Damianya’s eldest child and gets kicked in the butt every time he tries to act like the uncle of the kids.

Damian is a busy man, so is Anya. Fortunately, they realized how they neglected their kids and fixed their schedule so they can spend a lot of time together.

Melinda visits Yor a lot and slowly tries to reconnect with her son, who is still a tsundere, but she’s glad and relieved to see how Yor never failed to take care of him as if he was her son.

Anya’s favorite moment is the supper during holidays, they have this large table full of food and everyone just eat together. Debating, getting drunk, silly competitions and laughing at loud. Pure bliss. She’s grateful and often cries in her parents’ arms.

how'd he kill his father and why?

what did his dad do?

How and why? The sharp end of a lance through the chest and for threatening his sister. (It was at the end of a duel, it wasn't as though Kenward had no opportunity to fight back, the man having been a Dragoon himself. Osric just happened to get the better of him that day.)

As for what the man did - that's where things get a bit more complicated. The short version is that he made his life a living hell, interfered at every possible turn, and attempted to have him killed a handful of times.

Osric was an 'oops' baby.

His mother, Camilla, was engaged to Kenward's brother, Benedict - it was an arranged marriage for business purposes. She had no interest in Benedict, but as he was the older of the two Slater brothers - he was the one the arrangement was made with...that didn't stop her from engaging in other activities with the brother she wanted - Kenward. Something that Kenward was all to happy to encourage and participate in (there was no love lost between the brothers and, well, he was getting something out of it too). All fine and good until Camilla found out she was pregnant before the wedding could take place.

Fortunately, Benedict was more concerned about appearances than he was about punishing his brother or his bride-to-be, so the time table was moved up, and no one was the wiser when the newlywed couple welcomed an heir very close to nine months after the wedding.

All fine and good - except now Benedict views Osric as a constant reminder of the affair between Kenward and Camilla, Camilla views Osric as the source of many of the issues within her new marriage, and Kenward, well Kenward sees Osric as a headache - had the boy not been conceived no one would have been any the wiser and all would have continued as it was.

Not that much changed - the affair continued, with Osric's sister, Edalene also being a result of the affair - but she could be played off as Benedict's. (No one could every prove whether she was Kenward's or Benedict's. Not even Camilla was entirely sure.)

All the while, anything that could be done to make things a little more difficult for the then child Osric, was. At the time he didn't understand why he was isolated the way he was - trotted out for formal affairs and then kept away the rest of the time, but as he got older and started to hear the staff talk, started to ask questions, he started to understand.

And then Camilla and Benedict died...and he got their will. A will Kenward helped piece together.

He was to enlist - a noble in Ishgard, it was expected...and when he died in the line of duty, as it was all but expected that he would, the house and all it's holdings would pass to Edalene. The only reason he hadn't been removed earlier was so that he could make a 'noble sacrifice' to improve the standing of the house.

And Kenward was going to make sure it happened - or try to.

Osric, ever the dutiful son, did enlist (despite Edalene's protests) - and rose up the ranks fairly quickly, eventually obtaining the rank of Dragoon, after which he was assigned a patrol near the village of Bleakpoint. (This was done at Kenward's behest, though he didn't know it at the time.) The village had been infiltrated by a group of heretics - and one evening after returning from one of his patrols, the group approached him (he's grown close to one of the women) and ambushed him. He managed to kill them all...but they almost killed him, leaving him bleeding out in the middle of the Coerthan Highlands.

He would've died had he not been found by a passing patrol - who wasn't supposed to be out that way. They happened to make a detour because they heard the fighting.

He was returned to Ishgard, barely alive, and several days later it was Kenward who was in charge of his interrogation - who essentially told him that most of what he believed was a lie and that the very city he was fighting for was built on lies.

It was at that point that Osric made the choice to hand the house over to his sister's care (a knock down drag out fight if they've ever had one...and they've had a few, especially recently) and to leave Ishgard.

Kenward got what he wanted - Osric was out of the way and Edalene was in control of the house...for a time.

Fast forward several years, the Dragonsong War ends, and Edalene and Osric reconnect and Osric slowly starts to re-engage in the running of the house.

Osric receives a notice from Kenward asking to meet and discovers that the man still has intentions of trying to leverage Edalene (and the house), because in the end there was no care for either of his children, it was always about what he could get out of the name and the house, and while Osric may not have always been the most present of older brothers, he simply won't allow Kenward to continue to do as he pleases (or really - at this point he's tired of Kenward breathing).

So they tried talking, that doesn't work - they end up fighting, and Kenward ends up dead because the man over estimated his own ability and underestimated his son's...a recurring theme.

And that is the longer drawn out version of what his father did.
