can you write where you secretly adopt duke for calâs birthday? please đĽšđŤś
Birthday
(okay so for the sake of this fic Covid-19 started in January of 2020 not March)
word count : 1260
warnings : none!
enjoy!
<3
Calumâs birthday was coming up and you desperately wanted to surprise him with something big, but you had to try and figure out what.
He deserved something huge, and while money wasnât an issue for the two of you, you still had to pick a reasonable thing to get for a gift. It took you a few hours to come up with something, but eventually you picked one. Calum had been desperate for a dog since you two had moved in together, but since he was always running around and on tour, and you had a busy job as well, having a puppy just wasnât going to work.
The dog wouldnât get the attention and care it truly needed, despite whether or not you cared for the dog. But now, you were both at home, due to Covid-19, and nobody was really going anywhere. It was a perfect time to get a new animal, and you weren't the only one who thought so. You had seen Calumâs camera roll, and it was filled with dogs and puppies of all breeds. So, you decided, you were going to get him a puppy.Â
It wasnât going to be easy to keep it a secret from him, but you went to an animal shelter the day before his birthday, and spent so much time with all of the dogs. It wasnât until you got to the very last one that you felt a strong connection to him. He had been there for five months, and his age was estimated to be about one year old. His name tag on his cage read âDukeâ, and when you read his estimated age, you were happy to see that he was a younger dog, which was what you were looking for.Â
He was black and white, and very fluffy, and you knew Calum would fall in love with him instantly. So, you went up to the desk to start filling out the adoption papers. When you were talking about which dog you wanted, you learnt that he was already house trained, which was a wonderful thing to hear, because as much as you wanted a dog, you were dreading cleaning up poop from around the house until he was trained. You paid his adoption fee, they put a travel leash on him, and now, you and Calum had a dog. But where was he going to go for the night? You smirked, calling up Ashton, knowing he had a soft spot for Calum.Â
âHello?â
âHey, Ash! Can I ask you a favor? But you have to keep it a secret.âÂ
You could pretty much hear him raise an eyebrow before he agreed, humming an affirmative.Â
âI got Calum a gift, but I need you to keep it at your place overnight because he canât see it until tomorrow.âÂ
Ashton sounded a little hesitant, mostly confused.Â
âYou canât wrap it?âÂ
You laughed, trying to cover it with a cough but miserably failing.Â
âNo, I canât.âÂ
Duke chose this moment to see a squirrel on the side of the road, losing his absolute mind barking, and of course, Ashton heard.Â
âDid you get him a dog?!â
You smiled, petting Duke on the head and getting him to hop down from the window.Â
âI did. So, can you keep him for the night? Heâs already house trained.â
Ashton sighed, but you could hear the smile and knew he was relenting.Â
âYes, bring him over.âÂ
âOkay, thanks! See you soon.âÂ
Before getting to Ashtonâs house, you stopped to get him a water and food bowl, as well as some dog food. The shelter had given you the brand that they used to feed the dogs, so you picked up a bulk bag of that, making sure he had everything he needed. You also got him a bed, a soft fluffy one. Arriving at Ashtonâs, you walked up to the door with Duke, and he sat right outside with his tongue hanging lopsided out of his mouth. As Ashton opened the door, you could see the last of his resolve fade away as he immediately crouched down to pet him, picking him up in his arms and cooing at him.Â
You unloaded the things, helping Ashton set it up for the one night, and laughing when Ashton just waved you off, promising you he could handle it. After about an hour, you left, feeling that Duke would be safe and loved for the one night before you brought him home the next morning.Â
âÂ
The next morning, you had woken up before Calum, and had gone to pick up Duke. Ashton was quite reluctant to let him go, but you promised he could come over later to celebrate. He was currently outside, and you were setting up Dukeâs things in the living room. His bowls were in the kitchen, but his bed was right next to the couch. You went to wake up Calum, smiling as his eyes opened and he sat up, yawning.Â
âHappy birthday!!! I hate to wake you, but I need a little bit of help this morning.âÂ
You didnât need any help, you just were incapable of keeping the secret any longer. Calum smiled, even wider when you pressed a soft kiss to his lips, laughing when he tried to pull you back into bed with him.Â
âAww, come on. Itâs my birthday, youâre not going to cuddle with me?âÂ
You grinned, pulling yourself free.Â
âTrust me, youâd rather get up.âÂ
This piqued his curiosity, and he got out of bed, sleepily following you to the kitchen. You acted like you had no idea what was about to happen, smiling as he just followed you around like a lost puppy, pun intended. You had a few gifts wrapped on the table, noticing him eyeing them like a small child. You pressed a kiss to his cheek, moving behind him to fill Dukeâs water bowl. Calum hadnât realized it yet.
âBefore you open anything, can you let the dog back inside? I forgot to do it before I came and woke you.âÂ
Calum was used to dog-sitting for his friends, this phrase being not completely unfamiliar to him, and so it took him about thirty seconds to realize what you just said.
âYeah- wait. What?!âÂ
You smiled as he basically sprinted to his sliding porch door, his hands clapping over his mouth when Duke sprinted over to the new human being, his new owner. Calum immediately dropped to the ground to pet him, laughing and smiling as Duke licked all over his face, spinning in excited circles as Calum petted him. Calum picked him up and walked back inside, disregarding the open door as he looked at you in shock.Â
âYou- you got me a dog?! You got us a dog?!âÂ
You smiled, pulling out your phone and taking a photo as Calum held the dog up to eye level, setting him on his head and posing in the kitchen, smiling like an absolute fool. You picked Duke up off of Calâs head, holding him for a selfie with the three of you.Â
âHeâs ours? Like, forever?âÂ
You nodded, handing him back to Calum as he set him down and watched him spin from excitement.
âWhatâs his name?âÂ
âI got him from the shelter, his name is Duke.âÂ
If Calum smiled any harder, his jaw mightâve broken.Â
âI love him. Best birthday ever.âÂ
Calum spent the next three hours teaching him tricks, and if Duke ate his body weight in treats, all it showed was that he was loved.

emergency contact | calum hood x fem!reader
FUCK this took so long and took so many twists and turns but i have finished lads
summary: you end up in the hospital after an accident, only to find that your emergency contact number hadnât been updated. you are yet to find out if itâs a blessing or a curse.Â
word count: 8.9k
warnings: self doubt, talking down about oneself, she/her pronoun usage, swearing, breakups, angst, drinking, car accident, hospital mentions, injury mentions, mentions of weed, partying, fighting
author's note: it might be rushed at the end and there's no set timeline of events, so it might not align with the true events IRL.
i also would like to say that we support girls here! no hate toward anyone, girls support girls!
In defense of yourself, you hadnât expected to be back in Los Angeles so soon. Nor had you anticipated an accident like this to update your contacts on your phone. It was on the back of your mind, yes, but you had intended to change your emergency contact list on your phone for events like these. It was something youâd remind yourself occasionally, only to push it off for the next day, then the next day, then forget about it altogether.Â
And perhaps you were too cowardly to change the list. You didnât admit this to another soul since it had been nearly a year since the two of you broke things off. Your friends time and time again had persuaded you to put yourself back on the market, to get over the musician. But how could you? You had dedicated the best years of your life to him, nearly six of them. You thought you were going to marry the man, but life had other plans.Â
That being said, you still loved him. The small act of removing him off your emergency contacts list felt so final to you. Like that was the end of your sad little love story with him. Truth be told, it was the end. It was the end from the moment you broke things off with him. You were just too stubborn to admit that to yourself.Â
It was your doing, wasnât it? You were the one to tell him it was over. He had just gotten back home from their tour and went to greet you with open arms. You had been wretched enough to deny him that, pulling away immediately. You ignored his eyes when you told him you were tired of your lifestyle. Of waiting on him like a dog for him to come back from tour. Of relishing that one month of being together like it was the last thing on earth, only for him to leave once again for tours or writing retreats.Â
And most of all, you were tired of not feeling enough for him. In the world of popular and beautiful stars, why did he stay with you? Calum never made you feel so ordinary, not on purpose, at least. You had nothing to offer him other than your love. You feared that wouldnât be enough in the end. The more years that passed, and the closer the possibility of marriage became, you thought it would be better to let go of him first before he ended up resenting you for not choosing someone better when he had the chance.Â
You didnât listen to his pleas for you to stay. Or his professions of love for you, or how his promise to leave the band entirely if it meant you staying. You felt so cruel to let someone who loved you so much go so easily. He was willing to give up his music for you, so how could you ever claim that you were second best to his music?Â
But that was the very thing, you were afraid. He loved you so much that he was willing to let his entire life go for you. You couldnât let him do that to himself, to let go of his happiness. But you had enough self dignity to know that you deserved more out of life than waiting in an empty home to fill up again.Â
â
Calum wasnât sure what to make of the phone call he received just a moment ago. He never thought heâd hear your name again, much less be summoned to the hospital to see you.Â
âMate, why are you still here?â Ashton asked, tucking away his drumsticks. âThe nurse called you a half hour ago. Arenât you going to see her?âÂ
âI donât know,â Calum uttered truthfully. âItâs been so long since I last saw her. It was probably a mistake, right? Why would they call me up?âÂ
Michael rolled his eyes from the couch where he was tuning his guitar. âBecause youâre still down as her emergency contact,â he drawled sarcastically.Â
âThanks for pointing out the obvious,â Calum deadpanned. âI mean, why would they call me and not her parents or something? Or her new boyfriend,â he muttered under his breath.Â
Luke approached the group from the bathroom, running his fingers through his hair. âEasy there, tiger,â he teased, grasping Calumâs shoulders from behind. âOne might assume youâre jealous.â The youngest of the group quickly dodged the bassistâs shove, laughing while doing so. âTo calm your worries, no, she doesnât have a new boy in her life. And her parents moved to the east coast three months ago so they canât come over.â
âWell arenât you the stalker,â Ashton snickered.Â
Luke shot the drummer a glare. âIâm not a stalker,â Luke defended himself. âIn case you actually wanted to know, I still keep contact with y/n. At least Sierra does for the most part. Though, last time I heard she was in Boston.âÂ
âBoston,â Calum spoke up in confusion. âWhatâs she in Boston for? And how did she end up here?âÂ
Luke clicked his tongue, a knowing look on his face. âIf you want to know, you can ask her yourself,â he sang in an annoying tone.Â
Michael set his guitar down and stood up in defense of his friend. âWhile thatâs true,â he began. âWhat about..you know?â
âWhat about âyou know?ââ Ashton piped up. âThereâs no harm in Calum going. She could really be hurt and need someone with her. If what Luke said is true and youâre the only nearby emergency contact, itâs better safe than sorry that you go to her.âÂ
The boys shared a look with each other. In their heart of hearts they knew it was a bad idea to let Calum go, especially after everything that had happened. But a selfish part of them wanted their best friend back, so what harm was in that notion?Â
âIâll go,â Calum finally relented. âBut sheâs coming with me.âÂ
â
When Calum arrived at the hospital, he wasnât sure what he was expecting. The doctor explained it was a car accident, and although you were recovering okay you still had to be observed after minor surgery. A part of Calumâs heartstrings tugged at the thought of you alone and afraid during the accident, thinking he could have done something if you hadnât broken things off, but he pushed that feeling down. Itâs been a year; youâve probably gotten over him and heâs started a new chapter of his life without you.Â
Calum followed the nurse to the recovery room where you were still unconscious. At the sight of you, he instantly lost all air in his lungs. Frozen, the bassist stood before you with a mix of emotions flooding through his face.Â
It was as though you were entirely different but still the same in some way. Your face, albeit bruised, looked more peaceful than Calum had seen of you. Hell, even before you broke things off you always had a furrowed brow or frown of some sort. It broke Calumâs heart to know that he was the cause of that stress.Â
Calum sat down beside you, instantly grasping your hand like second nature. It was just as soft as he could remember, and your nail polish was chipped and stained the skin surrounding it. Calum chuckled to himself, a tearful smile on his face. He knew your nail polish was your own doing, seeing as you had always asked him to paint your nails since he had âmore precision.âÂ
âOh y/n,â he whispered, his voice cracking slightly. âWhat the hell did you get yourself into now?â
âWouldnât you like to know.âÂ
Calum jerked back to see your eyes staring back at him. âHi, stranger,â you managed to crack a smile. âWhat brings you to this hospital?â
Calum choked out a laugh, his thumb grazing against the top of your hand. âOh you know me,â he said. âAlways hanging around these parts whenever I get the chance.âÂ
âYou idiot,â you snorted, shaking your head and wincing in pain.
âEasy now,â Calum reached over to cup your cheek. âThe doctor said you have a mild concussion and a sprained ankle, but nothing a bit of rest canât fix.â
Your hand met his on your face, instantly warming to his touch like nothing had changed between the two of you. âWhy are you here, Hood?â you asked curiously.
âYou tell me.â Calum pulled out his phone and showed his past calls list. âI got a call from the hospital saying I was your emergency contact.âÂ
You dropped his hand and covered your face in embarrassment. If your headache wasnât killing you, the sheer embarrassment was. âOh my God,â you groaned. âIâm so sorry, Calum. I had meant to change it but I never got the chance andââ
âItâs alright,â Calum calmed you down. âRelax. Iâm not mad or anything. If anything, this gave us a great opportunity to reconnect and catch up on things. Itâs been what, a year?â
One year, three months, twenty eight days, and twelve and a half hours, the both of you thought subconsciously. But whoâs counting?Â
The both of you were. Clearly.
âSomething like that,â you lied smoothly. âHow are you? How are the boys? Iâve kept contact with Crys and Sierra, but I havenât had a chance to meet with them both. I was actually planning on shooting them a text as soon as I landed here, but obviously I havenât had the chance.âÂ
Calum laughed at your blunt humor. He missed that a lot about you. âIâm alright,â he replied. âThe boys are great, too. They send their love, by the way. Weâve been cooped up at the studio writing and producing music, though you probably expected that from us.â
Ouch. Was that a dig toward why you broke up with him? âNaturally,â you grinned. âDo I make a special feature in this album? The trashy ex that broke up with the bassist as soon as the tour ended? You best get back to the studio, Iâm sure this whole debacle has given you something to write about.âÂ
âYou are far from trashy,â Calum countered, continuing the light banter. âAnd Iâm not going to throw your dirty laundry out like that, I have some taste, you know.âÂ
âOh come on,â you pressed. âThat hoe called me back, gave me a heart attack,â you sang terribly, making Calum cover his ears. âOh yeah she broke my heart, thatâs not even the start-â
âOi, quit that!â he laughed. âLeave the songwriting to me because good God that was terrible. Any more of that and youâd put me in the hospital bed next to you. And please do not call yourself a hoe. Thatâs worse than Luke calling Ash âdaddy.ââÂ
Once your laughter had died down and you ran out of lyrics to spew, a comfortable silence filled the room. His chocolate brown eyes rested down at your joined hands.Â
âThank you, by the way,â you spoke to break the silence. âFor coming. You didnât have to do that.âÂ
âFor my trashy ex?â he teased, a smirk dancing along his lips. âIâd do anything.âÂ
God why did you break up with him? He was perfect, still is. Why does he still tug at your heartstrings and make you weak with one smile. How could you still feel this way after a whole year? Do you still love him-
âBabe, there you are! This place is a maze, I could barely understand the nurseâs directions.âÂ
You turned your head so fast, you nearly got whiplash again. Standing before you was a beautiful girl with the most luxurious beach waves and tan that every girl dreamed of.Â
She bent down to kiss Calumâs cheek swiftly, making your breath hitch without you realizing. The girl smiled at you, taking your hand -that Calum instantly dropped at the sound of her voice- and squeezing it. âYou must be y/n,â she concluded cheerfully. âIâm Tia, Calumâs friend.âÂ
â
âThey are so not friends,â you grumbled to your friends, days after the initial encounter.Â
Your friends chuckled at your gray demeanor, each of them taking sips of their coffee or bites of their breakfast. After being discharged from the hospital, the band and their significant others thought it would be perfect to catch up with you during brunch. You had agreed, eager to learn about everything you missed, especially the new couple.Â
âYouâd be right and wrong, n/n,â Michael replied, setting his mug down. The group was significantly more relaxed to talk about the subject considering Tia needed to take a phone call and Calum insisted on accompanying her. âThe way theyâre friends isnât the same as how heâs friends with usââ
âSpeak for yourself, baby, Calum keeps my bed warm whenever Sierraâs out,â Luke teased with a wiggle of his eyebrows. Sierra rolled her eyes playfully, elbowing him in the ribs.Â
âAnd Luke keeps mine warm when theyâre both gone,â Ashton chimed in without missing a beat.
Michael sent the youngest and oldest members a glare before continuing. âAs I was saying,â he huffed exasperatedly. âTheyâre in the weird phase between friends and dating. They met a little after the tour and were friends for a while. It was Tia that made the move on Calum, like, two months ago.â
Noticing the stark difference in your facial expressions after hearing Michaelâs explanation, Crystal came in to quickly finish the story. âHe hasnât confirmed or denied anything, but they have been on a few dates. Heâs taking it very slowly.âÂ
âThatâs..nice to hear,â you slowly began. âBut the more I hear about her, the more guilty I feel about feeling this way.â Your shoulders caved in as your friends shared a concerned look. âShe seems sweet, and Calum and I are old news. It was my own decision to break things off in the first place.âÂ
Sierra reached for your hand, squeezing it gently. âWhy did you break things off with him?â she asked in a quieter voice.Â
You couldnât help but notice how the rest of the group leaned in to hear your answer. âYou mean Calum didnât tell you?â you inquired the boys.Â
âHe just said it was mutual,â Ashton raised his hands up in defense. âI didnât know you broke it off with him.âÂ
âWhy didnât you tell us she broke up with Cal?â Luke whisper-shouted to his partner.Â
Sierra only shrugged her shoulders. âI thought you knew,â she responded, her hands grasping around her mug as she took a sip.
âNo one knew,â you settled. âAnd itâs going to stay that way.âÂ
The group let out shouts of disapproval that were instantly quieted once Calum finally returned and took a seat. âWhatâs the fuss about?â he asked curiously.Â
You shook your head, taking an overly healthy sip of your mimosa. âOh you know,â you sighed. âTypical group shenanigans, as per usual.âÂ
âWhat kind-?â he pressed before being curtly interrupted.
âWhereâs Tia?â Luke cut in, saving everyoneâs necks for the time being.Â
Calum took in a draw of breath after stealing Lukeâs cup of coffee, much to the singerâs distaste. âOh you know,â he copied you teasingly. âManager calls, as per usual.âÂ
âSheâs been getting plenty of calls lately,â Crystal commented.Â
You tried to not show immense interest in the conversation. After all, you didnât know much about Tia and the group had been too distracted to show you her Instagram profile, damn Michael and his random tangents. In the meantime, you absentmindedly twirled your straw between your thumb and forefinger as the conversation continued.Â
âTiaâs getting a lot of public interest, what can I say?â Calum responded. âHer videos are getting more views every day. Her managerâs been calling her nonstop since companies keep reaching out to offer brand deal after brand deal.âÂ
Ashton let out a hopeful sigh. âImagine having a brand deal set for life,â he pondered aloud, setting his salad fork down. âIâd adopt more goats and expand the garden.âÂ
âCool it, Old McDonald,â Michael snickered. âI canât imagine the band doing brand deals. Remember One Direction and their Pepsi commercials during the Super Bowl? Louis hated them.âÂ
The table laughed, recalling the memory. Recognizing your confusion regarding Tiaâs profession, Sierra leaned in. âSheâs an Instagram influencer and interior designer. She went to school for design but has branched out since. Last time I browsed her page she was doing promos for some yoga company.âÂ
âGreat, so sheâs perfect,â you grumbled to yourself, quiet enough for only Ashton to hear since he was right beside you. The drummer snorted, elbowing you roughly.Â
Calum, thankfully deaf to your comment, nodded along to Sierraâs explanation. âSheâs great,â he hummed.Â
Your heart clenched at his words, but a hopeful side of yourself couldnât help but perk at his courtness. Of course, it could be just to spare your feelings to not speak much about her. But a selfish part in your mind wondered if it was because she wasnât his missing piece, the way that you fit perfectly for him.Â
Stop that, you scolded yourself. Calum is no longer yours, you made sure of that. You were the selfish one who pushed him away. Why do you continue to torture him when heâs finally happy, no thanks to you. You canât continue to pull him back, thatâs why you broke up with him. And here you are, falling back into old habits.Â
You blinked back your tears, the tears you had so desperately fought back since the day you broke up with him. You didnât deserve to shed these tears when you caused the problem in the first place. Instead, you sucked in a breath and maintained your rigid composure. Itâs better than falling apart, which you more than desperately wanted to do at the moment.Â
ây/n, you alright?â Calum asked, breaking you from your trance.Â
You jumped slightly, lifting your head to face the group. Forcing a smile, you nodded. âPerfectly fine.âÂ
â
You werenât sure why you were called here. After becoming mutuals on Instagram (and thoroughly stalking her pristine profile) Tia was quick to invite you out for yoga. You werenât too keen on attempting yoga with a certified instructor, much preferring to save face in front of the already perfect girl. However, you found her nice and sweet enough to befriend despite the heartache it caused you.Â
âIâm really glad you agreed to come with me today,â Tia told you honestly as you finished your session for the day.Â
You settled yourself onto the mat, easing yourself into a simple stretch. âIâm glad you offered,â you replied, grunting at the ache panging slightly in your ankle. You were careful not to apply extra stress on your injured foot since it was still tender to the touch at times. âIâve been eager to relax, especially after that accident.âÂ
âAnd you deserve it,â Tia reassured you, beginning her own routine. âYogaâs good for recovery and stress, Iâve always tried to convince Cal into joining but he wasnât the most graceful learner.âÂ
You giggled, recalling how clumsy the bassist would be. âYeah, Iâd leave that to Ashton.âÂ
Tia nodded in agreement. Her fingers danced down her leg as she continued to stretch. Even as jealous as you were of her, you had to admit she was graceful in everything she did (and you were sure of it with a simple browse through her Tiktoks).Â
The two of you stepped out of the yoga studio, mats in tow as you continued to talk about random nonsense. On the walk back to your friendâs house -you had been staying there for the time being-, you came to realize that Tia was as genuine as they come and found it very difficult to dislike her out of jealousy.Â
âSo you know how Cal and I met,â Tia began, referencing the story of how the two met at an awards show. âHow did you and Calum meet and get together?âÂ
Your mouth went dry. She knew you and Calum were a thing in the past? âI-â you stammered.Â
Tia laughed at your sudden awkwardness. âIâm not dumb, you know,â she joked. âI knew about yours and Calâs past. He talks a lot about you, you know? More now than ever now that youâre back.âÂ
You had to stop the butterflies forming in your stomach. âHe does?â you catch yourself saying instantly.Â
Tia nodded, uncapping her bottle and taking a sip of water. âOh yeah, big time,â she answered. âItâs really sweet to know that you made such a big impact on his life.âÂ
Your cheeks began to warm at her words. âHe did the same,â you responded with full honesty. Tia patted your shoulder and grinned. âTo answer your question, I met Calum a little over ten years ago, once the band started getting famous. I was just a senior in high school when they moved to L.A. I interned at their studio and thatâs how we formally met.â
Tia gave you an impressed nod. âYou guys got history,â she mused.Â
You couldnât help but smile. The memories of the past always brought a smile to your face. Dyeing Michaelâs hair and staining your bathtub red, constantly buying Ash bandanas whenever you came across one you knew heâd like. Luke coming to you when he had writerâs block, and Cal crawling through your bedroom window whenever he felt homesick and wanted someone to talk to.Â
âWe do,â you agreed.Â
Turning a corner down the street, Tia continued to ask you questions. âWho asked who out?â she questioned. âThree years of being friends turned partners was clearly not an overnight thing.âÂ
âIt wasnât,â you said. âIt was Calum who asked me, but it took a whole lot of convincing from the boys.â You laughed quietly to yourself, recalling how he asked you to be your girlfriend.Â
You heard music playing softly in the night air. You had been studying nonstop for your college finals and hadnât seen the outside of your dorm all day. You hadnât called the boys in a while either since theyâve been touring the world after releasing Sounds Good Feels Good. You were significantly proud of them but youâd be lying if you said you didnât miss your boys. Now, hearing the soft guitar strumming from outside your window made you feel more longingful for them than ever.Â
Especially Calum. You had a soft spot for the bassist, everyone knew that. You spent the most time with him when you interned at the music studio. He trusted your opinion above everyone elseâs, and reached out to you the most while on tour. To say you had a little crush on him would be an understatement. The boys teased you relentlessly and teased Calum much more. They always said it was a matter of time until one of you would cave in and confess to the other. But they were wrong. Youâre here in a small college dorm with no air conditioning single as can be while the boy you loved was halfway across the world.Â
âThinking of you,â you texted Calum with a heavy heart. âAnd the boys, ofc :PâÂ
You set your phone down and attempted to go back to studying when your phone pinged again.Â
âYou donât have to feel so blue, n/n,â he responded. âLook outsideâ
You hopped out of bed and opened your window as much as the old rusty thing could go. On the campus grass were your favorite boys flashing lights from their phones at you. Calum was resting on Ashtonâs shoulders, waving at you with the wild boyish smile you loved with your entire being. Michael and Luke were beside him, Michael playing the guitar and Luke grinning and filming.Â
Concentrating hard, you recognized the sweet melody. It was the very song you wrote with him, Beside You.Â
âShe sleeps alone
My heart wants to come home
I wish I was, I wish I was
Beside youâ
Your heart did somersaults at the presentation before you. You had always begged Calum to sing more for the album but the boy was too shy. It took some pushing but you helped him get his confidence up. Taking a cardigan, you ran out of your hall and joined the boys on the lawn, tackling each of them into a hug.Â
âWhat the hellâs wrong with you!â you shouted out with a grin. You didnât care if your yelling woke up your peers. Your boys were here in the flesh.Â
âWe missed our girl,â Ashton told you, giving you a strong bear hug.Â
âOne of us more than the rest,â Luke added with a cheeky smirk.Â
Calum had long been off Ashtonâs shoulders, awaiting your hugs he missed so much. You, on the other hand, hesitated to do so.Â
âCome on!â Michael playfully shoved you. âWeâve come all this way, give the boy a hug!âÂ
Your face was on fire. The extra pairs of eyes made you embarrassed. Calum took an extra step forward, his hands bashfully in his pockets.Â
âDidnât you miss me, sunshine?â he asked you, awfully shy now after his confession of love. He was nervous he put you off and that he read the signs wrong.Â
âI did,â you whispered back, equally shy. âBut I think I want something more than a hug.âÂ
The boys let out whoops and cheers of joy as you decided to bite the bullet, grabbing Calum by the loops of his jeans and pulling him into a kiss.
Once you had pulled away, Calumâs lips formed into a dazed smile. âBe my girl, sunshine?â he asked you softly.
You pressed your lips against his once again, though this one was much shorter. âI was always yours, Calum.â
âWhy did you and him end things, y/n?â Tia asked you, bringing you out of your thoughts. You seemed to be stuck in a trance these days, always pondering over the past and what could have been.Â
You chewed the inside of your cheek, truly at a loss of words. What could you say? That you had been selfish and pushed him away so that he wouldnât end up hurting you first? That you drove the knife deep into Calum, twisting it in every way shape and form out of self preservation? There was no other way to put it than that in your mind.Â
âTime heals but also kills,â you told her with a broken smile. âCal and I decided to put ourselves out of our misery and end things while they were good before it got worse.â It wasnât completely a lie. Sure, he had no say in your ending things, but you spoke the truth about putting him out of his misery.
âDo you still love him?â she asked.Â
You glanced over at her. Her eyes shone in the light, curious and innocent. She didnât know the pain you both had endured that landed you in this position.Â
Yes, your heart cried out. You love him. You love him with your entire being, thatâs why you let him go. Because youâd rather kill your soul every single day of your life than stop him from reaching his life goals. If you had to go through that awful night that you broke your own heart again, you would, just to ensure that he is happy.Â
Even if that meant that he would be happy with someone else.Â
âHeâs my first love,â you told her tearfully. âOf course I love him. But I am not his love, and that is okay with me. Life goes on, and so should I.âÂ
The two of you stopped in front of your friendâs house. Tia took your hand and squeezed it. âI really do appreciate you coming along with me today,â she said earnestly. âAnd Iâm glad I got to hear about you and Calâs history. It really puts things into perspective.âÂ
You smiled back at her. âThank you for having me,â you responded. âI hope my words havenât changed anything between the two of you. I meant what I said; him and I are in the past. I truly want the both of us to move forward and grow in our own separate ways.âÂ
Your butterflies in your stomach turned into fierce wasps, stinging you sharply. Lies, your heart hissed. Tell her you love him and still want him.Â
You forced the bile rising in your throat down. Tia, blind to your inner troubles, continued to speak. âThatâs actually what I wanted to ask you,â she chuckled nervously. She grabbed your other hand, bringing them together.Â
âI wanted to ask Cal to be my boyfriend,â Tia confessed.
Crack. There goes your heart.
Tia seemed to notice the dip in your lips and immediately retracted. âBut I donât want to overstep or anything!â she rushed. âYou and Cal have history, Iâm not stupid enough to deny it. And thatâs okay, thatâs no oneâs fault. If you still love him and want him, Iâm not going to get in the way. Calum, well, itâs clear he loves you, too. Iâve heard countless amounts of stories about you to not get the memo. I really like Cal, I do. But that canât go up against love.âÂ
This was your chance. To right your wrongs from the past and take back what you truly wanted. Calum. You could take this moment to run to his house right now and take him back, and youâd have Tiaâs full support. Zero guilt.Â
But why did it hurt so bad?Â
No. You made your bed, you have to sleep in it. It doesnât matter if the bed was built of blades of self doubt and hate, you have to slip into the sharp sheets and let it pierce through your skin. You created your own mess. It is you alone that must deal with it. Not Calum, and surely not Tia.Â
Youâve made enough problems for everyone as is.Â
You mustered enough strength to let go of Tiaâs hands and instead cup her cheeks. âTia, honey,â you whispered calmly. âOur love is in the past. Iâve missed my chance, and I have learned to live with it. Iâve seen the way Calum looks at you, and thatâs something that can blossom into something beautiful. Thereâs no need to dig up something that has already run its course.âÂ
Tiaâs lip trembled at your words. You nodded carefully. âYou donât need my permission or anything to date Calum. You donât owe me anything. You both deserve to be happy, and clearly you make each other happy.â
âAre you sure?â Tia asked. âI promise you, it wonât hurt my feelings or anything if you still want him.âÂ
âNo, Tia,â you reassured her, despite the burning feeling in your chest. âPlease, make him happy. Make him happier than I could ever make him. He deserves that much.âÂ
â
Two weeks have passed since your encounter with Tia. Last thing you heard was that the two were very happy indeed, but you didnât hear if they made it official. You had plenty of dates with the girls, but you insisted on changing the subject whenever they brought Calum up. You feared that if you heard about him one more time, you might burst into tears or do something stupid.Â
You finished up your work from the office in your friendâs house. Grateful to be able to work from home for the time you stayed in L.A., you had to admit that sitting on a chair from 9 to 5 made you quite sore. Eager to stretch your legs, you decided to take a walk to the local park.Â
However, it wasnât any random park. It was the place you and Cal used to have endless dates when he was back from tour or the studio. Youâd lay on the blanket he took from his apartment at the time and stare at the stars. Back when you both didnât have much, youâd snack on soup crackers you took from each time you went to the diner across the street and share a can of Coke Cal took from the vending machine after work. So many secrets were shared at this park, and so many memories were made, too.Â
âIâm glad to know Iâm not the only one who still frequents this place.âÂ
You jumped to see the last person you expected at this place. Calum gave you a bashful smile before sitting beside you on the grass. You took in the last hour of sun beaming down your skin before the sky went dark, closing your eyes and tuning out the sound of the infamous L.A. traffic.Â
âHow can I not?â you quipped. âThis park is the only place in L.A. that isnât stuffy or gross.â
Calum let out a laugh, quietly agreeing with you. âSo what brings you here, Hood?â you asked, nudging his shoulder.Â
The bassist could only shrug his shoulders. âCould say the same about you,â he hummed. âSometimes I like to sit here and write music. Other times I just sit here and listen to the ambiance.â You nodded, crossing your arms on your chest and making sure to keep a safe distance from him. His touch was mesmerizing, but you had to remind yourself that he was no longer yours.Â
âThis place reminds me to stay grounded,â he told you truthfully. âWhen I get too in my head, I always go here, even after we broke up.âÂ
You dropped your hands to the grass, braiding the blades absentmindedly. âIâm glad,â you spoke up. Calum looked over at you, awaiting an explanation. âItâs too good of a place to let go after a silly little relationship.âÂ
âIt wasnât a silly little-â Calum fought back.Â
âLetâs not talk about it, Cal,â you sighed exasperatedly.Â
Calum instantly frowned. âWhy not?â he pressed. âYou never seem to want to talk about the good old days.â
âBecause it wasnât âthe good old days,ââ you insisted, lying through your teeth.Â
Calum let out a stubborn huff. âNow thatâs a lie,â Calum shot back. âBut whatever, I wonât push.â A pregnant silence took over the two of you as Calum tried to find something to say. âHave you found yourself a new boyfriend yet?â he decided to ask.Â
âCalum-â you began.
âYou said not to bring up the past,â Calum argued. âThis is the best I can do.âÂ
You shook your head at his words, giving in nonetheless. âNo, I donât,â you answered.Â
âAre you not ready for one?â he asked.Â
âI-â You took a moment to find the right words. âI need to work on myself before moving forward with someone else.âÂ
âWell, I donât get that,â Calum commented with a snort. âYouâre perfect, what could you possibly work on?â
You choked out a dry laugh, though there was no humor behind it. âQuite a bit, Iâd say,â you confessed. âCalum, I was a mess, I still am. I canât put someone through that again.âÂ
âYou didnât put me through anything,â Calum persisted. âAnd now that you mention us, I canât recall anything that you did wrong in that relationship. It was all me.â
âNo Calum!â you raised your voice, standing up abruptly. He quickly followed, standing up to meet your frustrated, tired eyes. âIt was me. And Iâm tired of you insisting otherwise.âÂ
âYou said that I was always gone,â Calum reminded you, his voice matching the same volume as yours. âI donât see anything that involves you in that.âÂ
You threw your hands in the air. âBecause I was needy!â you exclaimed. âAnd I was pushy, and I hated being alone all the timeââ
âBut Iâm right here!â he yelled back. You took a step back in shock. He was never one to raise his voice at you, even when you fought in the past. It was your throat that got raw in those arguments from having a shouting match against yourself and losing hopelessly. âGoddammit y/n Iâm right here. And I promised you that night that I would always be here if thatâs what you wanted.âÂ
Tears began to stream down your face as you pulled your hair in anger. âYou donât understand, Calum,â you cried out.Â
âThen help me understand!â Calum took a step closer to you, taking your hands in his. His brown eyes were desperate, searching yours for an answer. âPlease, sunshine, let me in.âÂ
For a moment, you almost faltered. You nearly gave in at his sweet words and use of that old nickname. But Tia remained in the back of your mind, and guilt sunk in once more.
You released yourself from his touch, looking away from his eyes. âYou canât call me that anymore,â you whispered to him. âI canât, Calum. I just canât.âÂ
Calum watched you back away hopelessly. ây/n,â he sighed.
âIâm leaving for Boston in two days,â you told him. âIâm sure Ash told you that already, though. I overstayed my welcome at my friendâs house. I should start packing.â
The bassist followed you to the gate of the park. âBut I feel like we should talk about this,â Calum pleaded.Â
Your fingertips grazed the gate, the cool metal sending shivers down your spine. âIâll see you at the party, Calum.âÂ
âÂ
When you told the boys the date you were going back to Boston, Ashton jumped at the opportunity to throw you a goodbye party. In addition to catching up with you and spending every moment available with you, the boys insisted on planning the âbiggest party of the centuryâ for your departure.Â
âI still donât see the necessity for all of this,â you told the three boys with a shake of your head.Â
âTrust us,â Ashton said with a wild grin. âWe all need this.âÂ
So here you were, casually sipping your cocktail in the corner of Ashtonâs home while their exquisite rager took the house by storm. Sierra and Crystal stayed by your side throughout the night, insisting to keep up with each other while you were away. This time, you made sure to not end contact with them the way you did last time. Tia had also been in the group but left some time ago to deal with something.Â
âAre you sure you have to leave?â Luke asked, pouting dramatically. âL.A. isnât the same without you here, n/n.âÂ
You ruffled his hair playfully. The singer was always a little brother to you, no matter how close in age the two of you were. âI do, bub,â you said in a sorry voice. âI donât think my boss could stand another week without me in the studio.âÂ
âThen move back to this location!â Michael proposed, raising his glass and nearly spilling his drink on the floor. âTransferring wouldnât be a bad idea, would it? The studio would love to have you back, producing and doing whatever else you do.âÂ
You laughed at Michaelâs drunken state. You were having a lot of fun relishing in the last few moments with your friends before leaving them once again. You almost didnât realize the shouting that was going on in the dining room of Ashtonâs home.Â
The entire group ran to the source of the noise to find Calum standing on the dining table with Tia pleading for him to get down.
âCalum, babe, please,â Tia shouted. âYouâre causing a scene.âÂ
All guests turned to see what was going on, especially to see why the bassist of 5 Seconds of Summer was shouting complete intelligible nonsense.Â
Ashton ran towards the edge of the table. âMate, you need to get down,â he begged hurriedly. âYouâre not thinking straight, you need to get down before you get hurt.â
âNo,â Calum insisted, his words slurring slightly due to his inebriated state. âI need everyone to listen to me.âÂ
Someone had managed to find the speaker and turn it off so everyone could hear Calum. Your heart was beating out of your chest, not from the alcohol buzzing through your system, but because of the drunk boy standing before you.Â
Calum raised his cup to the crowd. âIâd like to raise a toast to the girl who broke my heart,â he announced sloppily. âThe âheartbreak girlâ herself, y/n l/n.â Calum clapped loudly. He was the only one who was clapping while you stood there in shock and humiliation. âI loved you, you know?â he sniffed. âAnd I bloody well still do. Tiaâs great, though. Absolutely nothing wrong with you, Tia, I hope you know that. But youâre not the one. y/n right here, sheâs the one.âÂ
His brown eyes, red from drinking and smoking God knows what, teared up as he looked down at you. âBut what I canât figure out is why wonât she love me?â Calum threw back the rest of his drink and winced at how strong it was. âI was getting ready to propose to you, you know?â he told you. âI had the ring in my pocket, and I was just waiting for the perfect moment.â Calum chuckled to himself bitterly. âGuess I fucked that up tremendously.â
âCalum, stop,â you pleaded.Â
âWhy should I?â he asked you incredulously. âYou didnât stop packing your things when I asked you to. You didnât stop running when I chased after you in the dark. You didnât stop when you booked that flight across the country to run away from me.âÂ
Tears were streaming down your face now. âIt wasnât like that, Cal,â you cried. âW-we broke up for a reason-â
âAnd thatâs what I canât wrap my head around!â he shouted. âYou barely gave me a reason! You told me you never saw me anymore. I was willing to make more time for you, to end my career for you, to get down on one knee and be with you, and that wasnât enough! There had to be another reason-â
âThere wasnât, Cal!â you sobbed. âSo drop it, please.âÂ
Silence spread throughout the whole house. No one moved an inch, too shocked to make a single sound or move. All that could be heard was the sounds of your messy sobs that you failed to keep in. Cal dropped his cup and gestured his hands at you.Â
âThe Heartbreak Girl, everyone,â he announced with a broken sigh. âHope you enjoyed this one hell of a show, with your heartbroken host, Calum Thomas Hood.â
You ran out of the house as fast as your feet could take you. The air was brisk in your lungs, but you didnât care. You couldnât care when the man you loved poured his heart out to you, only for you to squash it like it was nothing.Â
ây/n!â you heard a voice call out for you. You whipped around to see Tia, scrambling to catch up to you. In the back, you could see the band -minus Calum- and their significant others peering out the glass door to see what was going on.Â
Tia grabbed your hand tightly. ây/n, fuck, Iâm so sorry about Calum,â she apologized, swearing profusely. âI donât know whatâs gotten into him. First we were talking about our relationship then-â
âPlease, donât bring up your relationship,â you cut her off, roughly shaking your head. âI know I gave you my blessing, but please I canât bear to get my heart broken again.âÂ
âYou donât understand!â Tia pushed. âWe donât have a relationship to begin with! y/n, I never asked Calum to be my boyfriend, I just couldnât. I couldnât interfere with a love as great as yours and his.â
You stumbled backwards. âWhat?âÂ
Tia nodded, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. ây/n, you and Calum are endgame, donât you see? I only talked to him tonight to explain that you still loved him. I guess he was too caught up in the alcohol to think rationally.âÂ
âTia,â you said, voice dripping in disappointment and dread. âThat wasnât your secret to tell him.â
âWere you going to say anything?â she shot back. âYou werenât, so I had to take matters into my own hands. n/n, Iâm a firm believer in fate and second chances. This is your chance at making everything right-âÂ
âBut I canât!â you cried, ripping your hand away from hers. âDonât you get it? Iâm the one thatâs killing him! I put him through hell and I canât continue to do that. Why canât you see that Iâm a fucked up mess that ruins everything I touch? I love Calum, Iâll never stop loving him, but Iâm not blind enough to not see that my love is torturing him slowly.â
You pinched the bridge of your nose in frustration. Tears reappeared in the corner of your eyes, but you were too tired to wipe them away. âIâm never going to be enough for Calum,â you confessed. âThatâs why I broke up with him. I canât watch him waste his life away on a girl thatâs only going to disappoint him. Iâm not like you, Tia. Iâm not perfect, or beautiful, or smart, or anything remotely interesting. And one day, Calum is going to see that and realize he missed his opportunity to find someone good for him, someone that he deserves.
âI donât deserve him, Tia,â you finished in a broken whisper. âI never will. So Iâd rather fade into the background and be a distant memory than become a face he canât stand to look at.âÂ
âThatâs not true,â Tia insisted, tears gracefully falling down her beautiful face. ây/n, you have to believe me when I say thatâs not true.â
A car drove down the street, approaching the two of you. You let out a sigh of relief, recognizing it as your uber. âI donât have to believe you,â you replied, opening the car door. âMy word is all that I need.â
â
Calum woke up the next day with a pounding headache. He groaned aloud, sitting up on the couch and cradling his head. He wished he was drunk enough that night to forget everything that happened, but he remembered every single detail. From the beat of the bass from the stereo to the way your dress hugged your curves he loved to kiss and hold.Â
He finally pushed you away, he realized. And for good, this time. Calum felt dread and regret rush through his system, and all he wanted was to crawl into his bed and sleep his life away.Â
âYou know grumbling isnât going to cure a hangover,â Tiaâs reprimanding voice rang through the living room.Â
Tia. Calum jumped up to face her where she had been leaning against the door frame.
âOh Ti,â he sighed, covering his face in embarrassment. âIâm so sorry for last night, I must have humiliated you. Iâm a right idiot, and Iâm so sorry I put you through that.âÂ
âOh shut up,â Tia laughed, walking over to him and sitting him down. âI canât say that I wasnât hurt, but I also canât say I was surprised with how things turned out.â Calum hung his head low, ashamed of his behavior. He never wanted to hurt either of you. âCal, you donât have to be so sullen. Itâs okay, thereâs no hard feelings or bad blood between us.â
When Calum couldnât bring himself to respond, Tia decided to take it a step further. âI always knew you loved her,â she confessed. âThatâs why I brought it up to you last night. I wanted both of you to work things out. She really does love you.âÂ
Calum let out a bitter laugh. âShe sure has a way of showing it,â he muttered. âTia, donât make me feel worse by feeding me lies. It hurts enough that I hurt both of you, donât make it worse by saying that bullshit.âÂ
âIâm telling the truth!â she fought back. ây/n still loves you, she told me that herself.â
âThen why did she break up with me?â Calum retorted. âIf her love never left the table, where was it when she broke things off? Correct me if Iâm wrong, Tia, but I donât think thatâs how you treat the people you supposedly love.âÂ
Tia screwed her eyes shut, heaving out a sigh. âShe loved you so much, she thought you deserved more,â Tia finally explained. âShe let you go so that you could find someone better, someone who makes you happier.âÂ
âThat doesnât make sense,â Calum shook his head, eyebrows furrowed in thought. âHow could she think that? No one could be better than her, um, no offense.â Tia snorted at the last part. âIf anything, I thought I didnât deserve her.â
âWell youâre both idiots,â Tia deadpanned. âYou two clearly love each other more than life itself but were too blind to see you were perfect for each other.âÂ
Calumâs shoulders caved in as he drowned in his thoughts. His hangover headache was piercing his skull but he couldnât care less. He couldnât process why youâd ever think so lowly of yourself when he praised the ground you walk on.Â
âHow can I go back to her and repair things when I never realized she was hurting?â he asked. âWhy would she ever want me back when I wasnât there at her lowest? All the signs were there. She stopped calling me every night to talk about her day while I was away. Sheâd dodge my Facetimes with bullshit excuses that I failed to point out.â Calum huffed to himself, beating himself up critically. âWhat makes you think I wonât fuck up again when she needs me?â
âBecause youâve learned from your mistakes before,â Tia told him, rubbing his arm soothingly. âAnd you can learn from them again. Thatâs what I like about you, Cal. You always made an effort to better yourself, no matter the challenge. And if you truly love her, youâre going to end up fine.âÂ
Calum smiled softly at Tiaâs words, raising his chin to look her in the eyes. âI love her so much,â he whispered. The bassist took her hand, squeezing it affectionately. âIâm sorry things didnât work out with us, Ti,â he apologized genuinely. âI really do hope you find someone who is willing to lay down their life for you.âÂ
âIâve watched two lovers reconnect like no time has passed at all,â Tia smiled back. âTrust me, I have the groundwork laid out for whatâs ahead of me.âÂ
Suddenly, Calumâs phone began to ring. Lunging towards the arm of the couch, Calum pulled his phone off the charger and read the caller ID. Eyes wide, he looked at Tia who gave him a knowing look.Â
âIâll start the car.âÂ
â
You opened your eyes, immediately squinting at the bright light. You were met once again with the familiar feeling of a skull splitting headache and aching ankle.Â
âMust you always get yourself into these situations?âÂ
You turned to face those brown eyes and cheeky smile you adored. Calum shook his head in disbelief, taking your hand in his. âI thought you said youâd change your emergency contact,â he said in a scolding tone.Â
Your face was on fire at his words. âI forgot,â you told him honestly.Â
Once again, you ended up in the hospital with similar injuries to what you received at the beginning of your trip. But instead of a car accident, youâd clumsily fallen down the stairs on the way to your Uber to the airport. Luckily a neighbor next door heard the ruckus and loaded you into the Uber straight to the hospital.Â
âOr itâs fate,â Calum suggested, resting his hand on the side of your head.Â
âCalum,â you tried to counter.
He stopped you instantly. âI know why you ended things,â he simply told you. âAnd I think I deserve a say in it.â Closing your mouth, you let him speak. âYouâre wrong, y/n. You do deserve me as much as I deserve you. And I love you no matter what. I donât need a famous celebrity as my partner when I have you in my life. None of that superficial stuff matters to me, y/n, you know that. And I know that for as long as I live and you forget to change your emergency contact list, Iâll always come for you.âÂ
Your heart fluttered, and you allowed yourself to feel hope for the both of you. âBut what if someday down the line you want more?â you asked in a small voice.Â
Calum blinked away his tears. âWhat more can I want?â he said in response. âYouâre all I want, y/n. Iâm so sorry I ever made you doubt that.âÂ
âDonât apologize,â you laughed, tears beginning to fall, too. âIt was my stupid brain that made me doubt in the first place.âÂ
Calum leaned in, his lips brushing against yours. âSo is that it?â he asked. âAre we done doubting? Will you finally come home, y/n? Be with me forever?âÂ
You raised your hand to cup his cheek. He instinctively leaned into your touch. âWith you,â you told him surely. âIâm always home. Iâm yours, Calum Hood.âÂ

Piece of Cake
Luke Hemmings x reader x Calum Hood
Summary Luke doesnât think you like him, but oh does Calum know you do, and so he decides to interfere for both of your sakes
warnings = MDNI! includes smut, use of weed, blowjob, facial, slight angst, clitoral stimulation, exhibitionism
The last thing that you had ever expected whilst opening for 5sos during their post covid tour was for anything romantic or sexual to happen between you and one of the five members, of course that hadn't stopped you from dreaming lustful images, but never had you thought the opportunity would arise. That was until one evening when you were sat on the tour bus, Michael and Ashton had ventured off to spend time with their significant others, leaving you with the bassist and lead singer. You were sat on your bed, Luke and Calum were in the living space, you were rolling a blunt, licking the paper so that the contents would remain inside without quarrel without spilling out.
They were talking about music and other nonsense, whilse you were planning to get high, and you were rather glad that you hadn't even lit the blunt or taken the puff from it when you became the topic of their converse. Perhaps it was rude to listen in on their private conversation, especially when they had gifted you with a ride along on their tour to expand your own fan base, but it was impossible to help yourself. You were curious, that was all, and very intrigued.
âSo about y/n?â There wasnât much to the question that Calum was asking Luke, you could only imagine that the blondâs head perked up in as much confusion as your own was. âAre you going to make a move man, every time sheâs up on that stage or she simply walks through the room youâre drooling more than your dog does.â Your head tilted in pivoted hope, however you werenât going to make assumptions without a word being directly said to you⌠right? That would be absurd, especially considering within the spotlight that your career granted it was easy for rumours to be misinterpreted or spread throughout the media. However, this was the source that you were listening in on, and subjectively you chewed your own bottom lip as you awaited the response of the man whom was undergoing a friendly interrogation.
A long and drawn out sigh elevated from Lukeâs lungs as he leant his curl rooted hair back, burning his eyes as he stared up at the ceiling lights that were built into the tour bus. âItâs not that I donât want to man,â at least that was a comforting statement to feed your awaiting nerves, âbut I feel like I have to remain professional. Not to mention, she probably isnât interested in me anyways, have you seen how well her and Ash get along? If she were to want one of us, it definitely wouldnât be meâŚâ There was a seasoning of self sympathy behind his subjective words, of which formed a crack within your heart from hearing them. His undirected accusations were a harm to his own mind, inflicting his own doubts, and you could see how he could perceive your friendship with his band mate that way.
You and Ashton got along insanely well, he was the first one that calmed your nerves the first time that you were scheduled to perform before them. But the two of you were just friends and that was all. The entire conversation that you were intruding on with your hearing distracted you from the task that you were currently attempting to perform, and thus the joint that you had just glued together with the stick of your saliva escaped your grip as you fumbled and tumbled out of your bunk and onto the floor between the set of stacked beds. âShit.â The curse spewed from your mouth as you instinctively reacted to the accidental slip of your fingers, and then your heart froze. You hadnât wanted to make a noise, however now it was too late, and all you could do was hope that Calum and Luke had been oblivious to the sound of your voice.
âY/n?â Calum cautiously enquired on your presence, the sound of his foot falls nearing closer and closer to your solitary destination, and instinctively you held your breath, not wanting to give your accidental agenda away to the bassist or the lead singer that had been discussing you and your status quo with each member. Softly the doll grey curtain of your bunk was pulled aside to reveal your embarrassed expression, Calum inquisitively staring down at you from the height of which he stood. A rosey warmth bruised the high points of your face as there was no doubt that your deposited hearing had been noticed, and so had the joint that you had configured. Cal plucked it up off the carpeted ground as he smirked at the circumstances that you were under, and thus with his sweet brown eyes he convinced you to crawl out of your bed, his large and tanned hand guiding you from the placement of your lower back.
He lead you into the entrance living space of the bus, where Luke was nervously planted, rubbing his painted fingernails gently along his bottom lip and diffusing his instinct to chew on them. With his cobalt eyes he sent harmless daggers towards you, his long legs taking up a length of space on the floor, the opposing limb folded over the knee of his other, his ankle tapping the air as he awaited for the tension to break. âOh Luke, calm down mate, y/n overheard everything but donât worry, I could see when she slipped down from her bed ho wet her pretty pink panties were. Isnât that right sweetie?â Cal squeezed your ass which was facing him, the flirtatious notion making you jump in the oversized shirt you wore; he was embarrassing you in front of Luke, but the other man seemed shy to the appeal that was ongoing before his eyes. âCome on girl, tell Lukey that it was all for him. Tell him that he made you all wet, you could even show him how soaking your pussy is underneath that layer of cotton.â
A whine slithered out from your submissive throat, you felt vulnerable and the butt of the joke that Calum was telling, without the intention of a pun, but admittedly you were loving every second of it. But it wasnât just Luke that had caused a sweet and slick river to flow between your legs, which was strange considering that he was the one that you liked. The way in which Calum degraded you before him though had you riled up, needy and desperate for someone to touch you, and it didnât matter which one of them did it. âY/nâŚâ Luke spoke your name so delicately, there being a a quiet innocence behind his tone. Immediately your head snapped up to ogle at the man, an alert and doe eyed detriment reflecting in your hungry expression. You were all too focused on the blond so that you were late to notice how Cal veered closer to your sexually appealing form, his hand slipping upwards on the back of your thigh, rising up to the centre of all of your desires over the thin cotton that protected your vulnerability from seething eyes that intended to pry at your most intimate parts.
He continued his sly yet indiscreet movements until the pads of his thick fingers were callously prompting across your lightly clothed bundle of nerves, causing staggered breaths from leaving your mouth. It was difficult to focus on only the pleasurable feeling that Calum was making you feel, as Lukeâs wide eyes were ogling at your glowing form, his pupils flickering from between your blushing face and where Calum was attending to tease the both of you. He was provoking his band mate, luring him into finally make a move, however he had yet to grow the courage to do so. Luke was in a conflict with his own mind and what his pants desired, he chewed stagnantly on his lip awaiting for the impulse to do something kick in. âAw Y/N, did you hear him say your name sweetie?â The bassist teased you, withdrawing his hand from toying with you which made you whine from the extraction. He leant his mouth right by your ear, and whispered into it, âwouldnât it sound better if he moaned it?â And you believed it, and you were even wetter from simply imagining it.
It was as though Calum were hypnotising you, and without your own will to do so, your feet fell in footsteps closer to where Luke was seated, and you succumbed to the cushions of your knees, staring up at the man that you lusted after as Calum stood as your shadow and brushed his fingers through your hair. The notion was a gentle one, until he gave it a harsh tug which hitched your throat back so that you were looking into his dark eyes. âIâve made you feel good Y/N/N, now why donât you do the same for our friend?â He was pushing you, convincing you to pleasure the god like adonis whose knees were resting against your collarbones, and you were easily sold. And thus you unbuckled his belt and loosened the tightness until you could slip the leather material out from the loops, feeding the teeth of his flyer to your hands. Without any haste you pulled the zip down, and tugged the tight denim from his upper legs, only to discover that he had opted to go commando that morning.
And by gosh you were enamoured with the sight that was in your face; he was erect and wantonly weeping from his tip for attention, and you werenât going to deny his famine. And thus you engulfed the head of Lukeâs large and veined cock into your mouth, greedily humming from the warmth of skin that filled your mouth. âOh fuck Y/N!â Luke gasped, his mouth gaping open as he tried to ground his pleasure, and he tousled your hair in his hand. âFuck, your mouth feels so good.â Each word that he spoke only gaged you to attempt to bring more of his length into your mouth, choking from your efforts. And you only choked more as you felt another pressure again on the back of your head, enforcing you to take more down your throat even though your survival instincts tried to reject the intrusion. âSuch a good girl, making our Luke feel good. And you can always make him feel good now you know how he feels about you Y/N/N. This cock is yours to suck, this big fat cock thatâs making your eyes water.â
Luke moaned simultaneously alongside you from Calumâs dirty words, the sound of your gagging and Lukeâs light and vocalised moans being the distinct sound that filled the room in the tour bus. There was a tight feeling that was pulling from the insides of Lukeâs balls, he was getting extremely close and he shocked the both of you when you unexpectedly pulled your lips away from his cock to get air, as ropes and ropes of his white seed decorated your face, the warmth of the liquid bringing you a sense of fulfilment and gratified euphoria. For a moment it felt like it was only you and Luke, taking turns to exhale heavily as you came to grips that this wasnât just a dream, it was a reality. A hot, dirty and sweaty reality. However everything hit you when Calum released his hand from your head, his voice filling your ears intermittently. âLooking good Y/N. And my work here is doneâŚâ Calum joked, metaphorically dusting off his hands from the gruel that he had to cause to finally bring both you an Luke together.
He slowly vacated the room with little words more to say, leaving you and Luke in your own comforting isolation. âSoâŚ?â Luke laughed with the emission from his lungs, stroking your hair away from his cum that still covered your face. âSoâŚâ He repeated back to you, a content and calm smile endorsing his features. âDo you want to maybe be my girlfriend? Iâve liked you for a long time, and I never had the guts to say something until, well, this.â You reciprocated his smile, tentatively nodding and forgetting all about the joint that you had been rolling, maybe you wouldnât need it to feel at peace tonight, because Calum with his sexual interference had helped you come to it. âOkay, we can discuss the details of our first date after we get cleaned up. Fancy a shower?â He teased yet endorsed your interest, and soon the pair of you were off to the small and confined bathroom to get âcleaned upâ as boyfriend and girlfriend.
