some clarifications on the options below cut 👇

calm sunny days can refer to both warm days and cool days - whichever you prefer (or if you're a fan of both).

i would rather foggy and overcast be separate, but i don't have enough poll options (sad!). however they are both rather moody. feel free to clarify if you only like one or the other though.

some cool looking clouds include: nacreous clouds, horseshoe clouds, lenticular clouds ... maybe even those bright colorful sunsets. point being you love a nice aesthetic clouds (i do too).

for tornadoes ill accept waterspouts (since -spouts are just a term for non-mesocyclone tornadoes). landspouts also exist. i dont think dust devils (and other -devils) really count here, as even though they are vortexes they're not considered to be tornadoes.

severe thunderstorm warning stuff can refer to: hail, strong winds (such as those formed by derechos), and mesocyclones which don't spawn tornadoes but look cool anyway.

space weather is. technically meteorological as well. i also just learned that there are things known as space tornadoes??? there are also space hurricanes. both can spawn auroras. if your favorite weather occurs on a different planet you can vote here as well. :)

forgive me if i missed your favorite weather, there's quite A Lot that can occur in the skies and its challenging including everything. :') i admittedly couldn't really squeeze in rainbows anywhere, despite really liking them.

We're gonna get hit by The Big One™ tomorrow, but today has absolutely perfect weather. It's like 70 degrees out right now, the first cool day of the season. Scattered clouds, no rain, no wind, it's not particularly humid, it feels really nice. I've never considered that "the calm before the storm" is a real phenomenon.

The weather in the wild west Highlands of Scotland was changing again, and Algy knew that there were gales and a great deal of rain ahead, so he decided to retreat to the relative shelter of his assistants' garden, where he would find it easier to take cover, if that should prove necessary in the coming storms.

For the moment, however, it was relatively calm, and although the sky was largely covered in drifting grey clouds, which promised showers at the very least before the morning was over, the sun occasionally burst through to provide a few moments of glowing October light.

Algy found himself a perch in the tangle of vegetation overlooking one of the baths supplied by his assistants for the use of his wee feathered cousins, and paused to listen to the natural world around him. The wind was sighing very softly as it passed through the trees and shrubs, the robins were singing their autumn songs, as they were wont to do on a calm morning, some sparrows were chirruping cheerily to each other in the bushes, and the resident pair of hooded crows in the big spruces nearby were cawing to each other lazily from time to time.

As he concentrated on all the different sounds, another red leaf drifted slowly down to the ground beneath his feet, and Algy was inevitably reminded of a poem by Rober Frost. So he began to recite:

O hushed October morning mild, Thy leaves have ripened to the fall; Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild, Should waste them all. The crows above the forest call; Tomorrow they may form and go. O hushed October morning mild, Begin the hours of this day slow. Make the day seem to us less brief. Hearts not averse to being beguiled, Beguile us in the way you know.
