~ My Dream about Calliope ~

Last night I had a dream about Calliope and Kratos. Calliope was very fond of the horses and loved playing with them. She was also forcing Kratos to play with her and see the horses but he looked tired and didn’t want to. He was a little bored to play with her and she looked enthusiastic.

So yeah. That was it.

“After Calliope mostly recovers, Lúnda takes initiative to help her gain a weapon by going to the Lady of the Forge. Despite still calling herself Diana in order to protect her identity, Calliope has grown to sort of trust the people who have been taking care of her. Meanwhile, Freya goes on a small quest with Kratos, as tensions rise.”

Not me, absolutely NOT ME imagining Kratos waking up before Lysandra, gently waking his wife up brushing his lips on her forehead and his fingers on her side, maybe hoping for a steamy "let's start the day in the best way", her chuckling and hiding her face in his chest while rubbing her leg against his own...

Just to be brutally cockblocked by their own daughter that bursts into their room super-excited because "daddy please you promised we'll ride horsie today, please please please", all while showing him her best puppy-eyes.

And so they did.

Despite she had accidentally ruined the mood between his wife and him, Kratos would have never got angry with Calliope – that had been an accident. Even if Lysandra had laughed at his stunned face when he had looked at their child happily running out of their room, excited like never before, because her father would have brought her outside to ride his big, black horsie for the whole morning. She had kissed his cheek, a silent promise in the meaningful look she had thrown at him.

But he was a man of his word, after all.

He held her tight with an arm, while Calliope clung herself on his chest like a little monkey, no fears in her heart even when her father made the steed sprint at full speed – Lysandra close beside them on her own horse. Her father’s (and mother’s as well) arms were her safest place on Earth, after all.

A follow up to my previous fanfic, where Kratos had indeed promised Calliope to spend the day together riding his horse.

I personally like the idea of Calliope clinging on her father, instead of simply sitting in front of him on the saddle.

I can't draw and colour horses to save my life LOL.

And I really need to try to improve on background, gods know how much I hate them T_T

thinking about greek saga kratos again. thinking about the (canon) fact that he knows how to play the lyre but won’t. thinking that maybe he really enjoys music but couldn’t pursue it because of his spartan duties. thinking about calliope and her flute that kratos carved for her, and how in greek mythology calliope is the muse of music. thinking a lot.

Some loose sketches of Atreus and Calliope, doubling as pose studies! All of them are from my post-Ragnarok AU where Atreus rescues Calliope from the Underworld, and they go on a little adventure on their way back to Midgard XDD One of their stops is Rome, hence Atreus wearing some Greco-Roman garb!

The third sketch is when they finally reach Midgard; Calliope is wearing a fur cloak similar to Kratos’ from the beginning of the game! And it looks like they’re about to get into a fight with some nasty creatures loll
