one that purveyors of gaalee are very familiar with in fanon lore but i believe this to fit in nicely with canon while filling gaps: gaalee friendship developed predominantly via letter writing. reasons why i think this fits with canon 1) gaara manages to develop solid friendships with a lot of people in konoha with what is visually very little actual in-person interaction time. it stands to reason that there's behind the scenes friendship development. 2) he's the president at fourteen like he does not have time to spend on wandering the local mall like a lot of us oldmanyaois did to build our social circles, plus, he's got access to allllll the military communications options. and hawks are fast 3) we know there are multiple canonical messenger hawks! and their whole purpose is cross village communiques. of course they're all sending notes lets b so fr rn

height difference: lee is, in my head, taller than the canon suggests, and gaara is shorter. reasoning: ok look you've all seen this panel and you're telling me gaara ends up only like 4cm shorter than lee? Go To Jail

yes yes we can all discuss how they're all mid teens and have growing time but listen. gaara spent his entire childhood being effectively mentally tortured by shukaku and also his village's effective abandonment. do you think he had a well balanced diet? if we want to get scientific there's several studies that discuss how poor nutrition in childhood leads to lifelong consequences, and just because kishimoto didn't address this doesn't mean I Won't thank u. and i haven't even gotten started on the not-sleeping-thing. conversely, lee's probably been on Max Gains Training Diet since he was like. what, 10? tldr, i'm simply massaging their canonical heights in favour of what Actually Makes Sense Fucka You

i have another one for lee i think fits in this level that many of you may know from my magnus opus fight club: lee is--whether certified or not--definitely qualified to be a physiotherapist, and i think he'd volunteer at the hospital helping patients with mobility related injuries. reasoning: PLEASE in order to be a brilliant taijutsu specialist he has to have like the most intimate understanding of how the body works. that's his whole area of expertise. and i think that even post-op as a sand-squished teen he would have needed tons of therapy, and rock "paragon of virtue and chivalry and whatever" lee would absolutely feel like he needed to provide some sort of assistance to the hospo staff and help the other patients. because that's what a good shinobi would do. dattebayo

level 3:

yall know what time it is its LANGUAGE HEADCANON TIME based on, once again, all of @sagemoderocklee's fantastic lore. i think lee speaks 3, which for me are a) some form of shinobi common b) whatever the land of fire's local is, and c) something unique to team gai that's heritage based. in tgod i call it nishitsuchigo. i think gaara speaks [large number] on account of being mr sand president sir and thus becoming to some extent a diplomat, plus all those night awake? polyglot challenge speedrun. and the gaalee aspect of this is that gaara can speak all three that lee knows, so they can use that heritage based one to talk shit about their coworkers what who said that.

gaara's hugely into gardening. i think this is a fact in the databooks and we all know the screencap where he's holding the flowerpot but extending on this into truly fan-created lore i think he's definitely overhauling all of suna's food supply chains by going ham on greenhouses and very precise water allocations etc etc

lee grows his hair out after neji's death. this one is, again, well distributed across fandom because everyone, of course, is right relieved emoji. but ignoring bort entirely, lee would definitely do something to honour his friend/teammate, and i think that would be something like growing his hair out, since i don't think he'd change his style of dress and he can't learn neji's jutsu. and he's had long hair before. bring it back kishi u bastard

1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?

You lmao. As I've said, big part of why I'm actually writing it down! Re: the way I wrote it though, I've basically always written stuff with lots of POV switches, I like to see the differences between people's attitudes and levels of knowledge. If I ever write a story where everyone in it starts with all the same facts, I've probably been replaced by a pod person

2: What scene did you first put down?

I write chronologically, so that first scene with Ariel and Bethany was the first thing I wrote

3: What’s your favorite line of narration?

Ariel wasn’t the sort to leave things up to chance any more. Anyone could have seen, and anyone could have turned them in, so there were no fireballs or ice storms for them. No mage’s staff. In Kirkwall, it was all down to daggers and luck.  Sometimes that luck seemed too good to be true. Sometimes Ariel moved faster than a person really ought to be able to, and sometimes the idiots trying to kill them tripped over thin air. Only the paranoid would call that magic.

4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

When Justice in his chapter 1 section remarks on Wade and Herren being soulmates with

“I do not see it. This doesn’t happen to spirits,”

mostly because I immediately said "Ha, incorrect" to myself lmao. Justice himself obviously, but using Wade and Herren was an extra joke because idc what the creators said, if Herren is a desire demon in Darkspawn Chronicles, I believe that it's true for every timeline

5: What part was hardest to write?

Can I say the chapter I'm working on rn? I am being very picky about the first meeting because it's pretty essential in a soulmate au

6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?

I've never written for this ot3 before, or actually published anything for Ariel or DA2 as a whole. It's fun to get into Kirkwall! Also there are some pretty big time jumps between scenes, which I have done before but not in stuff that follows a set plot like a video games, so it's neat to kind of work into the spaces in an existing timeline

7: Where did the title come from?

The song Out There from Hunchback of Notre Dame lmfao. I'm just glad it wasn't actually called omg they were soupmates at this point

8: Did any real people or events inspire any part of it?

Not really

9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

Not for the overarching plot but I did have a Lot of back and forth over certain details like Anders and Karl's relationship, when different scenes happen and from whose POV, where this story ends, etc

10: Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story?

because I love them <3 more seriously, because I love Justice, and I'm sad he's barely a character in DA2, especially because he's so interesting about love in Awakening, and I wanted him to be an equal part of the story. Also because they're the weirdest option in a soulmate au, so I get to poke at the "rules" of the genre

11: What do you like best about this fic?

writing Ariel is so fun! purple Hawke you will always be an icon

12: What do you like least about this fic?

Balancing the different POVs has been stressing me out a little, I know it doesn't actually matter that much but I do want them to be at least roughly equal

I don't listen to my character playlists while writing, because I can't write and hear lyrics at the same time, so I've just been putting on youtube mixes of fantasy writing instrumentals lol

this is the fic that got me to commit to small daily increments of writing instead of waiting for inspiration to hit, which we've all heard plenty of times but finally hit me on this one

So I wanna ramble on alittle bit about my playthrough so :

I went really hard fighting red templars untill 3 in the morning the other day that when i went to sleep i dreamt that i was personally ass deep in red templars killing them lol

Also i managed to get my Vivian approval with my inquisitor up enough that she doesn't insult her looks anymore (although i'll miss that it was my fav thing lol that low approval cut scene is so funny "Vivian why is my furniture being moved around? Cause i wanna piss you off ofc my dear inquisitor i hope you seethe when you can't find your shit at night hehe" I LOVE HER) my inquisitor is extremely pro mage freedom so it didn't go well with her at first but they both started to warm up to each other once my inquisitor started sitting for judgments

Vivian really likes the way Keres deals with things!

Speaking of Vivian imagine my surprise when i go online to see fan art of the most gorgeous woman i have ever seen only to be met with hate

People call her annoying and a bitch for being realistic when Wynn also did the same type of "questioning your choices and thier impact on the future" the only difference is that Wynn's wisdom was due to her age so she was kind and motherly but Vivian's wisdom is due to her experience with unforgiving harsh society ofc shes gonna be no bullshit to the point with you

Emily was never interested in drama because she knew damn well she was the drama

Wherever Emily goes she has to know every little detail about everything thing interesting or she will explode

A waitress goes to her table where a cat pops up next to her and sits on her lap

“Hello I would like a mango boba tea with a mochi donuts please?” Emily asks and the waitress writes it down

“Okay and would you like to donate a dollar to charity?” The waitress asks

I have not been watching SEC filings of major corporations until just today. It was... wow. Stocks at all time highs, but every company has executives dumping stock at a ridiculous rate Ive never seen before.

Very short term interest rates suggest a soon & swift drawdown of stocks, which could result in possible bankruptcies across a variety of industries.

If you have ANY money tied up in the stock, bond, or other savings market do 2 things:

1) If you own a fund which uses a diversified investment approach (ETFs or most retirement funds), then call the company who owns it & ask about the global economic outlook, and see what info you can get before doing anything hasty

2) If you hold individual shares in a company stock, then watch those press releases, SEC filings, and stock prices like a HAWK. I would do the same for whatever company you have a bank account with. Call them if you are unsure about what the implications of a financial crisis would be on your account

The strong golden and orange hues fill the sky around you. You comfortably yet tensely sit on your patio furniture with a strawberry lemonade in hand, admiring the view. It had been another long and tiring day and this is the perfect remedy for it. Your eyes scan the world around you for any signs of your favorite hero and you sit back and take a sip when he hasn’t arrived yet.

It was a strange meeting, of course. You were relaxing on your balcony and happened to have a clear view of s a criminal in a case he was working. He spotted you after apprehending the villain and went up to get your information. You greeted him with a glass of your cooling and calming lemonade and he’s been hooked ever since. You were hooked too, but you never thought anything would come from it so just friends is a good start.

Hawks, known to you as Takami Keigo, had never considered relationships a viable option for him. All that began to change when he found himself coming up with excuses to see you. He would just be in the neighborhood and wanted to stop by. Hours after his patrol had ended he would still be sitting and chatting with you.

The golden orange switches to a purplish blue as night begins to fall. You try to resist the urge to call him as he told you he’d come find you today. You’re about to give up hope and when a soft breeze grazes your cheek and you’re sure it’s not from the wind.

You look up and see Hawks perched on your balcony with new artificial wings. Your smile widens as your put your drink down and walk up to him. “They look amazing! How do they feel?”

He smirks at you then and holds out his hand. “Wanna test them out? Go for a flight around the city?” You eagerly want to to his suggestion but hesitate when you remember his popularity.

“I don’t wanna endure the wrath of your fans,” you softly say. You’re about to pick up your drink again until Keigo catches your arm.

“Maybe I want them to know about you. You have captured my heart after all, dove.”

Your jaw drops from his confession before it turns to a giddy smile. You run into his arms and he’s quick to catch you, giggling with you as he presses a soft kiss to your cheek.

This is so funny to me because Enji really is so protective of reader. Like it does not matter how old you are, you could be 70 and walking with a cane and Enji will still think of you as his sweet 3 year old baby.

So like imagine when poor Enji walks into your room because he wanted to share the pint of ice cream he got from the store, only for that ice cream to literally boil into his hand as he watches his baby angel being gently attacked on the lips by the blonde rat he always knew was upto no good.

Enji actually lifts you up and throws you over his shoulder, and then begins yelling at Katsuki, flame beard on and threatening that he will burn his bleached ass if he's still in front of him in the next ten 30 seconds. Katsuki thinks he's joking, thinks that's a bit of an over reaction, but when you're yelling at him from over Enji's shoulder to get out of there rn, he knows shits about to hit the fan.

So as Katsuki hauls ass out of there, you're trying to distract Enji so that he doesn't chase after your explosive bf. Once Katsuki's out of sight, Enji immediately focuses his attention on you, smushing your cheeks in his hands as he tilts your head left and right and looks you all over, asking if you're okay, if he hurt you, how he's gonna call Katsuki's parents and sue them if Katsuki so much so as looked you the wrong way. Now you could be standing there, saying that it was you who kissed him, you who initiated it all but your words would fall on deaf ears, Enji would be just there, washing you mouth with soap as he tuts pitifully that his daughter got attacked by that dirty ass, hoe ass, scum of the Earth.

random fact: i used to be in theatre……… even had a solo in one musical!!! and i also got the role of margot frank in my school's production of the diary of anne frank. this play is probably my favourite thing i've ever done; to emulate the claustrophobic feeling the frank family had during their time in the secret annex we made a huge number of presentations to smaller groups of people and when the frank family moved to the annex, the audience got up on stage w us, sat in benches around us and the curtains closed behind them. so it was a small, confined space and we had to up our acting game even more cause they could see everything more closely. it was the most intense experience i've had and it made me fall in love with art even more

I recently read a cook book, and a lot of the recipes in it were popular dishes from the Golden Age. Under Kamui's pressure, I was able to make something called, 'Banana Bread'. So, I thought you could give it a try.
