#callin it overworked and underbaked

the sound is something i yoinked from a website that used it as background noise, i couldn't track down the original source but it's labeled summer sounds with wind chimes.

my favorite picture of my dad, he died when I was 16. this is <1991 (we moved from this house when I was 11) but I don't know exactly when. he wasn't home much because he traveled for work and I have a really poor memory, so I have an especially strong fondness for pictures. I don't remember a lot of events but I can remember the picture.

to say I struggled with this would be a massive understatement. I'm not so much done, as mentally done working on it and I can't paint the face and dirt over again for the millionth time. even now I'm itching to fix the dirt! let it go, my friend.

(i, in fact, did not let it go and spent another 30 minutes torturing fiddling with the dirt 🤦)

I left out some of the painting process because it was too long and tedious and I couldn't use more than 20 clips and didn't want to edit it on my laptop just for that reason lol. I enjoyed doing some bits like the fence, trees, the jeans, his arm and watch.

my favorite little thing from this picture is his raybans that he always wore hanging almost invisibly on the chicken wire fence
