Born in Texas to Californian parents, raised in Texas, educated at UT, moved to California, getting a doctorate from Cal. California and Texas are the two major political and cultural poles of the country (sorry New York, "The South", "The Heartland" and every other pretender to the thrones). Electorally, any party that could win both states in a Presidential election would be unbeatable. Culturally, they both have world scope. They also [set textbook policy for most of the country](https://www.thedailybeast.com/t-is-for-texas-textbooks). As major metropolitan AND rural states, I find they have a lot in common (not that they might admit that). In any case, I want a flag for folks like me that don't want to choose. We want it all. We want Texifornia. So, here' what I came up with. All elements are compiled from the SVG files on Wikipedia (which are built to the legal standards for each flag and public domain, incidentally). Plus, Texas already gets the major parts of the layout so maybe we leave Monarch alone. On the other hand, the jackalope is a Texas icon, so a jackaloped bear would make a certain kind of sense. I found a video talking about the Goth and Industrial section at @amoebarecords! The one thing I miss the most about this place was this section after they took this down I stopped going and got a spotify account. Although the dude is speaking more about industrial and folk bands such as Death in June, Its important to remember this , if I could I would sign a petition to the Aoemba to bring back this Isle again since it was Important part of my life and among others.
