380 ACP Review by Craft Holsters
Overview of the .380 ACP Cartridge
The .380 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol), also known as 9mm Short, is a compact and versatile handgun cartridge that has gained popularity for self-defense and concealed carry. With its manageable recoil and ease of use, the .380 ACP is favored by shooters of all skill levels. It offers low recoil, easy concealment, and affordable ammunition, making it a practical choice for personal protection. However, compared to larger calibers like 9mm or .45 ACP, the .380 ACP has less stopping power, although it remains effective at close ranges, typically up to 25 yards.
Advantages and Considerations of the .380 ACP
The .380 ACP stands out for its balance between concealability and defensive capability, making it a popular choice for those seeking a reliable self-defense option. It is commonly used in lightweight pistols, such as the Glock 42 and Sig Sauer P238, which are ideal for concealed carry due to their compact size. While the .380 ACP may not offer the same power as larger calibers, its ease of handling and quick follow-up shot potential make it an excellent option for close-range encounters. A shooter I don’t see on tcc like at all is the Clovis library shooter, is name was Nathaniel Jouett. He killed a total of 2 people and injured 4 using a .380 ACP Bersa Thunder 380 Plus and a .45-caliber Springfield Armory XD. He was 16 years old when the shooting happened and there’s not much about him online other than the fact he made videos describing what he was planning on doing, apologizing to his parents and girlfriend as well. It happened in Clovis, New Mexico on August 28th 2017 at 4:10 pm. There’s body cam footage and cctv footage online, I’ll link a video on where you can watch it and it’s actually really sad to watch as so many children were alone and scared. I see the dude as a total loser, he has absolutely no redeeming features or reasons to kill someone. Though, I don’t know if he was abused at home or something like that as there literally nothing online. He was sentenced to life in prison without possibility for parole.
The body cam and cctv footage:

A white Florida woman who fatally shot a Black neighbor through her front door during an ongoing dispute over the neighbor’s boisterous children was sentenced Monday to 25 years in prison for her manslaughter conviction. Susan Lorincz, 60, was convicted in August of killing Ajike “A.J.” Owens, 35, by firing a single shot from her .380-caliber handgun in June 2023. She had faced a maximum of 30 years behind bars. Circuit Judge Robert Hodges opted for a slightly lesser term amid evidence that Lorincz had been abused as a child and had mental health problems. “The shooting was completely unnecessary in this case,” Hodges said during an afternoon hearing. “The shooting, I find, was based more in anger than in fear.”

SIG-Sauer Pistols CC Collection
Began in 1975, with an aquisition of a German arms factory of J.P Sauer und Sohn GmbH by the Swiss SIG AG, SIG-Sauer produces many variants of pistols including :
SIG P220
The very first patent since the joint of these two companies. Launched in 1975 to fill the position of the police issue sidearm. Also this model is a principle of the next SIG-Sauer pistol designs.
SIG P226
Issued in 1985 as a development of P220 with advanced features. Actually participated in US DoD's XM9 program, but instead the Beretta 92F was chosen. Later acquired by the US Navy as M11. One of Original "Wonder 9" Member who Successfully toppled the Revolver's Domination during 1980s inside Law Enforcement and Military alike.
SIG P228/P229
A compact variant of P226 basically some length was chopped from the barrel and slide, as well as from the grip. The P229, was developed especially for the US market and is assembled in the USA using both German and US-made parts. It’s identical to the P228 except for a heavier slide. The P229 slide is made by machining a bar of steel as opposed to stamping and forming from sheet steel. The heavier slide on the P229 is necessary because of the comparatively more powerful calibers used in this pistol.
SIG Pro
Sig Sauer's Attempt on Modernizing their Sig Sauer Series to make it relevant for current Polymer frame Pistol Trend and stay relevant in Military Industries. The SIG Pro is a series of semi-automatic pistols developed by SIG Sauer in Exeter, New Hampshire. It became the first polymer-frame handgun from SIG Sauer and one of the first pistols to feature a built-in universal accessory rail and interchangeable grips. Offerings in the series are chambered in .40 S&W, .357 SIG, or 9×19mm Parabellum. As of March 2020, only the SP 2022 variant is still listed on the SIG Sauer website. The SIG Pro was marketed as a lightweight. and compact alternative to the "legacy" SIG Sauer handguns in an increasingly competitive and budget-oriented law enforcement market. SIG P320 (M17 And M18 )
A further development of previous model SIG P250 which issued by SIG Arms Inc. USA. Released in 2014 as a SIG participation in the US DoD's XM17 next sidearm program. After some evaluation, this model won the contract and acquired as M17 in the US Army in 2017. US Marine Corps acquired it's compact variant known as M18. The full-sized model was designated the M17, and the shorter length carry model, the M18. The guns have subsequently been adopted by the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force. The pistol replaces the Beretta M9, as well as several other handguns across the services. There are two color variants, coyote brown and black, for both the M17 and M18, though almost all have been produced in brown.
The SIG Sauer P365
Modern Derringer is here.. with superior compact size over the smallest modern Handgun that ever known, Glock 42 (5.8 inch on P365 Vs 5.94 inch on Glock 42) also the Best Seller on "Concealed Carry" Category in United States. perfect for anyone who looking for smaller Pistol as Third Sidearms or Perfect pistol for Political Assassination 3:)
SIG Sauer P365 is a striker-fired subcompact semi-automatic pistol manufactured by SIG Sauer, intended for everyday carry. It is offered with Tritium XRAY3 Day/Night Sights and two 10-round magazines; one flush fit and the other with an extended finger tab, and a stainless steel frame with polymer grip module. It is primarily chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum and is rated for +P (higher pressure) ammunition while utilizing offset double-stack magazines. A variant chambered in .380 ACP was introduced in February 2022. The P365, which replaced the P290RS, is produced in Newington, New Hampshire. In both 2018 and 2019, it was the best selling handgun in the United States.

380 vs 9mm
When it comes to self-defense and concealed carry, selecting the right firearm and ammunition is paramount. Among the most popular choices for concealed carry handguns are the .380 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) and the 9mm Parabellum (also known as 9mm Luger or 9x19mm). Both calibers have their devoted followings, and each has its own unique characteristics. In this in-depth analysis, we will…

Choose the Right Handgun
The Right Gun and Method of Carry Are Essential to First-Time Buyers and Seasoned Pros Alike
If there’s one thing that’s true in the firearm world, it’s that there’s a lot to know about how to choose a handgun.
There are two schools of thought at work here; one is “old school” and which means revolvers, the other is the current trend toward new subcompact and ultra-compact semiautomatics in calibers from .380 up to .45 ACP. In my experience, the Handgun choice between a revolver and a semi-auto has always been very personal. If you grew up around a father, older brother, or another family member who favored one style of gun over another, that has probably biased your preferences, but for first-time consumers and new CCW (concealed carry weapon) permit holders with no preconceived notions, the choices are wide open. Both revolvers and semi-autos present options that need to be given genuine consideration.Read the Full Post to Click here…

.30 Super Carry: What? Why? How?
What: The new cartridge .30 Super Carry, as the name implies is definitely geared to towards concealed carry. It offers lighter, softer recoil, and higher capacity than guns in 9mm or .380 ACP. Why? Because people will always want to have the most advantage on their side possible.
How? By accidentally copying 7.63 French Longue. and loading with slightly hotter powder.
Speed in general seems to be slightly more than the speed of the sound barrier, which makes suppression easier, but still not optimal due to the speed.
Big Blue, aka Smith & Wesson has two pistols in this caliber. Like the micro compact called the Shield Plus OR, which is certainly an interesting angle and optimized for concealed carry. Optics ready, small, high capacity, all around a smart plan.
Another offering from Smith is the Shield EZ in .30 SC. The EZ series is optimized for shooters who aren't that used to shooting yet. A slightly bigger grip, a mechanism to make it way easier to cock for people with arthritis or similar issues. This is where I think the new caliber might shine, offering defensive capabilities in a more toned down cartridge for new shooters.
Another interesting gun take I'd like to one day take for a spin is the Nighthawk Customs. Night hawks gun is based on the venerable 1911 design.
While they have an absurdly high cost compared to other handguns on the market, they price is reasonable when you remember that it handcrafted in the USA. I would argue this makes for more of a competition or range toy than an actual defensive or duty gun. In many precision pistol sports, .30 cal is usually the minimum for the big bore categories, but also sometimes small enough to be considered smallbore, depending on the discipline and organizing body. this allows you to compete and train at a high level, when you usually carry a "full-caliber" 1911 or 2011 on the daily. And somehow, completely out of left-field, god damn Hi-Point of all companies beats everyone to the punch by offering the first long gun in .30 Super Carry. And somehow, completely out of left-field, god damn Hi-Point of all companies beats everyone to the punch by offering the first long gun in .30 Super Carry.
While still a "generic" Hi-Point Carbine, it does offer you to only have to think about buying one caliber, and a really low price point. The Hi-Point carbines have their own flaws, but they are easy to oversee when you remind yourself of the MSRP. It will be interesting to see how this goes in the future and what other guns we'll end up seeing in this caliber. Considering also the current advances in 3d printing and DIY firearms, one could also wonder if this will lead to new firearms in a similar category to the Vz 61 but now adapted to modern times with modern ammunition, or other new exciting previously unthought of designs.
I hope this caliber takes off and isn't a complete dud.

Neighbors, more information is being revealed about what led up to the fatal shooting of Ajike Owens, a Florida mother of 4 who was shot and killed by her white neighbor, Susan Lorincz. According to the Huffington Post, Susan has reportedly admitted to police that she has used racial slurs towards the children multiple times in the past and she reportedly used one the night of the shooting.
———————————————————
The report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office says Lorincz, 58, admitted to detectives that she called the children “the n-word” in the past. She claims that she always had a problem with the children not “respecting” her in the neighborhood. She says Owens’ children have threatened to kill her before, so she was already on edge coming into the most recent situation. The day of the shooting, Lorincz told investigators she had a headache and that “neighbors were outside screaming and yelling, kids were running around” in a grassy area separating two apartment buildings, including hers. She had previously put up a “no trespassing” sign to keep the kids away from her house despite the grassy area being open to all tenants.
————————————————
The night of the shooting, while a few children were playing basketball, Lorincz came outside to throw a pair of roller skates at them, hitting one on the feet, according to the report. One of the children claimed Lorincz also flipped them off and called them “black slaves”. That’s when Owens then knocked on her door to confront the woman. Lorincz claimed “that Owens banged on the door so hard everything started shaking and she thought the door was going to come off,” and that she panicked and said to herself “‘Oh my god, she’s really going to kill me this time.’” That’s when Lorincz fired a single round from her .380-caliber handgun, the report says, killing Owens.
—————————————————————
Lorincz is currently behind bars and has been charged with the first-degree felony of manslaughter with a firearm, as well as culpable negligence, battery and two counts of assault. This is terrible! Racist people just can’t help themselves! SMH… Thoughts Neighbors?
Chile, she ain’t even trying to help herself 🤦🏿♀️

The short answer to this is the one nobody wants to do. Do what Malcom X did. Arm yourself. Get a gun, ammunition too, make sure you can use it (no, getting a 12-gauge shotgun does you no good if your shoulders aren't going to hold up under the recoil. For shotguns, a 20 or 30 gauge is a better place to start for adults. For handguns, start and practice with nothing smaller than a .380 , the semi-automatic equivalent of a .38 caliber). Don't make a fuss or a big deal out of it. You don't have to buy into everything that goes with the firearm--fuck the NRA, police culture, the works.
But make it clear to yourself that you CANNOT stay harmless under current circumstances. If you aren't dying or permanently disabled, and your life is under the level of threat described above, arm yourself and be ready to drop at least ONE of your wannabe Nazi tormentors before you go.
If you aren't physically or emotionally ready for that, if you are elderly, dying, and/or living in a housing situation where arming yourself would leave you MORE exposed to threat, not less? Do what you can to improve your health and physical condition, and attempt to get some basic self-defense training. I'm not suggesting you get UFC ready, oh hell no. But LEARN how and when it's appropriate to throw a stiff punch, or a hard palm-heel to the ribs or jawline, or a sharp elbow to a face. Get a basic skill set so you can hit and run, or if need be, hit, knock them down, stomp a face in with your shoes on, and then run. What, some people are going to be bigger and stronger than others. Fortified foes exist. Sometimes you will have to disappoint Cop Almighty Then and not be a good little victim, and not lie down and die. (*shrugs*)
I don't know how to tell you this any other way, but anything worth voting for is also worth fighting for. And note the word choice: don't go anarchist and just rage to rage. But remember that your human rights were fought for by others, and that you may also need to fight for them, for yourself and others.
Also note: this mentality goes beyond immediate, physical self-defense. By the time your political "peers" typically tell you to resist, it's already too late (2 years into Trump, for example). No, the time to be ready was yesterday, the time to resist is as soon as ANYONE steps up to fuck with you, and resistance can take a lot of forms. This can mean exposing and doxxing your threats as soon as they show up, as soon as you have the info to expose. There's other, higher-risk ways. Find them and get familiar with them.
Seriously, the only way SOME of these abusive fanatics will back down is if they know you are too vicious and hair-trigger to approach without consequences, right now. The only way they will ALL back off is if they're scared you'll shoot them, sue them, or otherwise break their ass in two, directly or socially.
I would say more about our foes but that would be divisive and also besides the point. This is about OUR being ready, not what drives THEIR defective mentality or morality or personality. Knowing our enemies is important but does not replace our getting hardened and skilled.
‘I Need Autonomy’ inspired by Jenny Holzer

A white woman with a history of harassing children and using racial slurs was convicted of manslaughter on Friday in the fatal shooting of a Black neighbor last year in Ocala, Florida. Susan Louise Lorincz, 60, killed Ajike “AJ” Owens with a single shot from a .380-caliber handgun as Owens knocked on her apartment door on June 2, 2023. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said at the time Lorincz and Owens were in a long-standing “feud” over Owens’ children playing. The all-white, six-person jury found Lorincz guilty of manslaughter despite the 60-year-old asserting that her actions were in self-defense. Lorincz, who showed no emotion, faces up to 30 years in prison.
