Sorry for the belayed response; I decided to consult the old man for this one.

Yes, it is believed that there could be other megas out there that just haven't been discovered! There were some discovered in Hoenn, after all. It could be that were not looking in the right place, or that these stones are so rare that none currently exist.

We know that the mega stones are somehow fundamental to the process, but we don't know WHY that is. By all means, they're just rocks. Not even radioactive! I believe the organization that was once Team Magma is studying them, but they haven't found anything yet. Hell, we don't even know how they're all somehow perfectly round.

The only Pokémon ever witnessed mega evolving without a stone were Rayquaza, who some argue isn't a true mega but rather a primal form, and Mewtwo, who's just generally an affront to both Arceus and science. Mewtwo would be the best bet research wise, and its been spotted in Kalos, but no ones managed to capture it. Personally, I think the poor things had enough testing done on it for a lifetime...

I'd like to remind everyone that the "mega evolution is insanely painful and you're torturing your Pokémon" thing was a single paper by a Galarian scientist living in Alola who had never even seen a keystone in his life.

Mega evolution IS a strenuous process and one that must be trained for. Just like professional battling, or even some normal evolutions. You wouldn't expect some random skinny guy to be able to deadlift his weight; why the hell would you expect a random Pokémon you just caught to be able to mega evolve hassle free, if at all?? Your Pokémon needs to know how to use its new powers. That's also part of why trust is so important to the process! Your Pokémon has to feel safe!

It's not even that HARD to bond with most Pokémon, you know. Some berries and a dream go a long way. I've seen people who most people would consider a fundamentally bad person safely mega evolve their Pokémon; I'm sure you can handle it if you actually try.

But, you know, "BAD SCARY DEATH TIMES" is a lot more interesting to the media, so they latched onto that one single paper. Putting in hard work and dedication doesn't really get clicks.

If anyone is ACTUALLY curious about mega evolution, I'm happy to answer your questions; and if I can't, the professor probably can.

The character pulls and combinations are REALLY good, I'm delighted, I love being able to see everyone's creativity, talent, and personality shine through this!

Also here's my individual piece - Wes from Pokemon Colosseum dressed as Raziel from Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain because it's MY event and I get to do what I want to (lighthearted). Particularly proud of the perspective I managed on the sword's hilt.

And while I’ve yet to piece together the aggression chart I will use this as an opening to break down the relationship chart that started as an unholy consequence of me trying to fit calem into anime plots

Starting from the top:

Shauna having feelings for Calem is something that is laid on very thick in the firework scene. Anime wise I almost linked Shauna to Serena too but I ended up backing off the idea because I was lacking evidence.

Tierno, i don’t think i need to explain this much if you’ve watched the anime, his crush on Serena was something he was very open about.

Miette, I actually don’t think she had a thing for Ash, like at all, she does not try to pursue him at all in the anime she just likes to talk about it, it’s a tool to get under Serena’s skin. But that alone would make her a valued piece of the unholy love triangle amalgamation so I added her to the chart.

Calem, specifically, Rival Calem: okay I think I need to explain this one a little more blatantly. Calem’s character arc cannot exist without Serena. His entire journey is dedicated to her mere existence, and pokemon masters really hammers home how important she is to him. She is the blueprint to his every move and step forward because in his mind she deserves better than he can offer so he will fight to be better. The way he talks about her when she isn’t around is unapologetic admiration and I cannot ignore the writing on the wall. He likes her. He’s got it bad.

Serena, specifically anime Serena of course. Her emotional attachment to Ash isn’t just surface level like Tiernos attraction to her, being around Ash gave her the courage to be herself, to stand up to her mom and make her own future, to keep going even when she’s lost and lost hard. She used Ash as a moral compass to keep her head in the game and that only strengthened her connection to him. The end of the series kiss scene was far from unwelcomed, it was over due.

Ash….this boy is oblivious as shit. I’m sorry Serena was not sly nor slick she fumbled at every turn and you STILL didn’t know??? I and from what I can see, many other fans, have come to the only conclusion that Ash just doesn’t do romance. He has ignored so many clear cut love interests and left them one sided because he doesn’t recognize or want romance. He just wants to be the best like no one ever was, love isn’t on his mind, therefore he is clueless to the love induced war going on around him. He is an unintentional ladies man.

And ALLLL of that is just the information i collected from rewatching the whole of X&Y while also replaying through pokemon X and ALSO going through pokemas events. Its all connected, i haven’t done anything else with my free time, its all kalos baby. ALL KALOS.

SV ZORINA

Zorina started as a pokemon Scarlet OC (specifically scarlet bc thats the one I played). I have another OC paired with her who I will ignore for this explanation, but basically, she’s the Prototype AI before AI Sada where they experimented to make a fully functioning human out of code. But she was too “human” to be used for the Paradise Protection Protocol, even defied AI Sada to the point she ran away

Long story short — she was attacked and lost all of her memories, found by my other OC (former Sada intern) who repaired her, needed a place to stay, so Hassel and Brassius took her in as their own and hadn’t told her she’s not human

Anyways on to BW2 and XY OC, they’re pretty short in comparison to my SV OC since they’re new but yes

BW2 ZORINA

This Zorina knows she’s AI LMAO. A robot.. she’s basically made to be Colress’ assistant, and worships him like a god (or loves him as a father? But just doesn’t know what she feels yet?) for “giving her life,” and yearns to be human like everyone else. (Post-BW2 she’s still his assistant, but she mellows out a bit and becomes more like SV Zorina, coming to terms with herself)

XY Zorina

I don’t have art of her… she is just a super new concept

Basically, she was created by Team Flare with a bit of help from Professor Sycamore for Lysandre to create the perfect woman — young, elegant, artistic, and beautiful — for the whole perfect world and eternal beauty + youth thing. So among the Zorinas, she’s the most “super human-y” because she was made to be unblemished at all costs, you can’t cut through her hair, all that stuff. He is obsessed with her, to the point that he won’t allow her to go anywhere without him/supervision from a Team Flare scientist.

Her plot throughout the game is that she’s Serena’s/Calem’s rival who is secretly going out and battling the gyms behind Lysandre’s back, and she eventually gets caught. Because Lysandre is a control freak, the whole thing in Lysandre cafe is also an attempt to help set her free.

She was taken under Sycamore’s care post-team flare plot

The Leeanna Post

To start off, her full name is Leeanna Autumn Colette Turner, (but later becomes Woodrow due to her marrying Leon). Though sometimes she is called Lea by her childhood best friends Serena and Calem, Leon. (Pronounced: Lee-uh)

Her birthday is March 15th, making her a Pisces. She is native to the Kalos reigon, and was actually their Champion from the ages of eleven to twenty two. (More on why she left later)

When she was Champion, her team consisted of:

Leeanna is feisty, stubborn, impulsive, and sassy. But she's also quite clever, compassionate, loyal to those she loves, ambitious, determined, and quite a passionate lover.

She was born and raised in Kalos, being sent on a Pokemon journey by her parents despite not really wanting to yet. She never had the best relationship with her parents, especially since she grew up in nobility. She's a Baroness, and suffered quite a traumatic childhood. She developed claustrophobia at a young age, and strove to be a perfectionist to please her parents. She's an only child.

She's essentially the X and Y protagonist. She was the one to defeat Lysandre and take down the ultimate weapon, as well as defeating Diantha and taking her place. The only issue was that she never wanted to be Champion in the first place, and developed a terrible cocaine addiction at age seventeen.

Soon after her twenty-second birthday, her father forced her into an arranged marriage with a Count named Caspian, who she immedietly hated. He was cruel to her, telling her she would only be good as his wife. Naturally, she ran away to Galar soon after this to go live with her uncle.

But, this is where she meets Leon for the second time. They met before as children, since they both became Champions at a young age and saw one another at events. Leon was almost immedietly smitten with a celebrity crush, as Leeanna thought he was loud and annoying, even though he never told her about his feelings.

The two of them meet again and almost instantaniously hate one another. Their story is enemies to lovers, as I love angst >:3

But as time goes on, Leeanna replaces Opal as the fairy-type gym leader. You know what that means! She gets a new team, which is almost entirely female except for Espeon.

Sylveon, Primarina, Tinkaton, Alolan Ninetails, Florges, Mega Altaria, Alcremie, Espeon, and Dedenne.

She does eventually fall in love with Leon, and the two of them end up getting married. In the future, they have three children:

Dande (yes that is his name as a reference to Leon's Japanese name and also I just like the name) Who has dark brown hair, light tan skin, and golden eyes. He takes after his mother more than his father, and is a total mama's boy when he's little.

Auriella, who has tan skin, purple hair, and sea-green eyes. She takes more so after her father in personality, but did get her mother's sass.

Zinnia, who is pale like her mother, with light purple hair and golden eyes. She doesn't really take after either of her parents, being more quiet and reserved.

Here is a Pokemon Legends Z-A prediction which will likely be terribly wrong on release and is mostly me having fun!

You are Serena/Calem who got isekai'd/teleported away from current Lumiose City to the past. In this time period it's going under mass development to make it more livable and exciting for all. Spearheading this movement is Lysandre's Ancestor. She believes in making a beautiful city for Pokemon and people, and despises how the ugly selfishness of humans runs through the city at present. She also feels guilt for some of Lumiose's problems as her ancestor (AZ's brother) helped contribute to the war which created carnage.

She listens to your tales of the future Lumiose and is inspired - she asks you to help develop the city with her. You go out and research what Pokemon live where and how to best create environments for them in the city. You can upgrade each 'section' of the city which introduces new Pokemon into the biodomes. You can choose some of the plans for the city including the aesthetics of buildings and parks.

Opposing this movement is a group of socialites, mainly represented by Diantha's ancestor. The members of high society have little interest in making a city that promotes harmony with Pokemon, and want to continue making exclusive mansions, restaurants etc. Late in the story, they do some serious environmental sabotage that hurts the local Pokemon, and uh oh-!

Zygarde is here and the snake is PISSED. It starts wrecking the place in anger and you need to work with bizarro Xernas/Yveltal to stop it. Once you manage to calm it down a bit, many of the people and Pokemon who have benefited from your plan cautiously approach Zygarde and explain they love living there together. Convinced that you guys aren't screwing the place up for good, Zygarde leaves peacefully and reconstruction on damages begins (post-game!)

Also throwing starter predictions out there: Litten because black cats and Paris have a few cultural crossovers, Snivy because Serperior was designed based on the Rose of Versailles (and has a Fleur-de -lis), and Squirtle because France has both freshwater and marine turtles by its coast.

"You are a fool if you think you could ever aim a weapon like this properly." Eileen's voice is sharp. "To siphon energy from a Great One of Death, to turn its power upon the world. Oh, Yharnam would have loved you." She flicks her hand, barks a command in a tongue Lysandre won't understand. Yharnam's tongue. Maria the Absol howls, razor sharp winds billow around her and set forth. "Coloration and an ego the size of any Cainhurst. Truly, I would have paid money to see the church mongrels set upon you."

"Your words make no sense," Lysandre bites out, decidedly unhappy with how his Pokémon are faring. "This world does not have the resources to cope with all these selfish humans. When there is only one of something, it cannot be shared." He retaliates Maria's attack with a strike of his Mienshao. "The only way to make sure that everyone can have everything is to reduce the living beings using these resources."

"What about Pokémon then?" Calem cries out, loud enough the camera catches his voice.

"Pokémon... Shall no longer exist."

"Bloodmad mongrel." Eileen's Pokémon strike out, Lysandre's fall one by one. "Let this be known. This too, is hunter's work. A Crow to purge the mad and bloodhungry, so that the world may breathe and sleep easy." Lysandre's Pyroar falls, unable to support itself an longer. The man's fists curl, and he looks to the side with a grimace.

"The strength to protect, huh? But what are you really protecting? A tomorrow that will only end up being worse than today? You are as strong as ever. But... It's too late. There is no hope for you now! Go below and see for yourself."

"You are a fool. You will not see morning. I will make sure of that." Eileen is quick to bold down the stairs, the others behind. She thoroughly ignores the admin and grunt, leaving them for the children and other hunters to clean up.

The inside of the chamber is ominous. Dark red light pulses from cables, and a gigantic cocoon rests between them, clearly connected to the cave wall and the machine above. The moment Eileen enters, the cocoon begins to stir, as if Death itself recognizes her, recognizing her ilk. It shakes. Stirs. And breathes back to life. Slate stone grey leaves in favor of feathers, impossibly tiny and many and too perfect to be true. Ice-blue eyes open for the first time in eight centuries, cold as death's embrace. Eileen knows it too well to mistake it for anything else. The bird is gigantic. A looming giant.

And that giant moves. Feathers of deepest sanguine, all too much like the red dripping from trick weapons, flare up with unholy light. Red like the countless Blood Moons Flora had wrought. It screams, the sound a thousand death rattles and dying screams made manifest, stretches. The wiring and machinery above rattle, shake. A localized earthquake on brittle foundations. Rock falls, breaks. Eileen's eyes widen. The children! She runs towards the entrance, waving her arms. They cannot enter!

"STAY OUT!" The rocks fall. Something impacts her temples. Not good. Not good. The world grows dark. The last thing she hears is several voices yelling.

"EILEEN!"

Basic concept, before their journey begins Serena and Calem go to lumiose to help settle the eggs that will hatch into their starters, they stop at some cafe, they pick up something to eat, Calem knows his moms home alone so they get her something and in turn Serena goes home with him momentarily to drop it off before leaving to her own home.

Catrina, Calem’s mom, sees this shy girl who just moved in and has not grown to her future heavy swinging attitude yet- and doubts her capabilities.

And now I throw words at the wall and hope it makes a loose short one shot- no beta we die like Serena’s dad SPEED RUN IT.

The sky is only darkening, the clock keeps ticking, the wine in her glass draining with every turn of the page.

Louis often wasn’t home during the weekend. He’d leave for Snowbelle Friday, he’d come back home early Monday. Said training in cold weather kept him from getting rusty.

Normally she’d go with him- but she had a teenage son and only a moron would trust a teenage boy home alone.

His journey was right around the corner, someone had to see him off.

The chill of a dozing glaceon, the dim kitchen lights. And right before her nerves started to flare; the sound of the doorknob rotating.

“Hey mom.” he greets, as cheerful as her genetics would ever allow, a slight smile on his lips, wide for his standards.

Her gaze pulled from her novel, a brow raised at the company.

Fluffy hair and cheerfully shy mannerisms, a sheepish “hi” with her head held down.

“Calem” a greeting, “who’s this?” Straight to the point. No how are you, no hello, no niceties, nothing new.

“I’m Serena! I live next door…” her voice tried to hold its volume, it ended awfully pitiful.

Daughter to a rhyhorn racer, new to Vaniville by…almost a month now if she remembered correctly.

“Hm….it’s late, where have you been.”

Attention back to her son. Less a question, more a statement.

“We got caught in lumiose foot traffic.”

A reply given like a rhythm, the same song and dance the mother and son were far too accustomed to.

“Lumiose?”

“We uh…” again the girl next door opened her mouth, stammering only once. “We were helping the professor with a new clutch.”

Not cheerful enough to sound like a lie, just awkward enough to raise a brow.

“Right…your starter.” Singular, surely this girl wasn’t headed to be a trainer. She’s too meek to survive on the field, better suited as a coordinator than anything else. “You didn’t think to tell me?”

“You didn’t ask.” It’s the same response Calem would always give, it’s the same response Catrina would give if the tables were turned.

He got out of the house and did things, she didn’t ask, he didn’t waste her time bothering her. But a teenage boy, her son; going two towns over with a girl, the circumstances aren’t the same.

She’d address the girl directly. “And was your father aware of where you two were?” Dads were always protective of daughters, were they not.

“Oh my dads dead.”
