The Cooper family has signed off the air for good.
After seven seasons, Young Sheldon aired its moving, two-part series finale on Thursday, May 16. Cast members including Iain Armitage, Raegan Revord, and Annie Potts paid tribute to their time on the CBS comedy, showing their love on social media.
Armitage, 15, who played young Sheldon Cooper, posted on Instagram, "I’ve always wondered what this day would feel like and now it’s here! Thank you for a wonderful ride. I will miss everyone so much and I want you to know that it’s been an honor to play this part, and it’s been a joy to work with people I love so much."
"I’m excited to see what’s next and I hope you’ll join me on the next chapter, whatever that is. ❤️ I truly hope you enjoy the finale. It was made with a lot of love," the actor added, alongside a photo of himself posing on a couch.
Revord, 16, who played Missy Cooper, posted a video featuring moments from their time on the show, alongside the caption, "Over the years I’ve watched a lot of my favorite shows have their series finales and one thing I always thought about is how heartbreaking it must be to say goodbye, never thinking about my own because it seemed so far into the future."
"Here I am on the day of my own finale heartbroken. I love this cast, our incredible crew, and these characters so much not having them in my life everyday seems impossible. But I’m also filled with wonderful memories, a beautiful childhood, a family forever, and gratitude," Revord continued.
"Thank you to those that have tuned in over the years and for loving these characters as much as we do. I hope you enjoy the finale tonight, it’s some of the most beautiful episodes of TV I’ve ever watched. ❤️"
Sharing a photo alongside Coach Dale Ballard actor Craig T. Nelson, 80, Potts, 71, who played Meemaw, wrote, "❤️Love and Gratitude for 7 great seasons #YoungSheldon."
Caleb Emery, 30, who played Darren, posted a grab of him and Armitage on his Instagram Stories, writing, "Congrats to this guy! What a run! Glad I was a part of it!"
Pastor Jeff Hodgkins actor Matt Hobby was among those posting about the finale, writing alongside two photos, "My first day at Young Sheldon, and my last day at Young Sheldon."
"I’m so grateful to have been a part of this wonderful story for 7 years. I will miss these kind, genius, loving people. I’m so proud that this will always be a part of my life. #youngsheldon," Hobby added.
Wyatt McClure, 15, who played Billy Sparks, added, "Bittersweet day today. Series finale of Young Sheldon is on tonight. Although the end is coming I have made lifelong friends forever."
"Get your tissues ready. Thank you to everyone on the show who made this the greatest 7 years possible. Looking forward to the next chapter!#cbsyoungsheldon #cbs," McClure added.
Melissa Joan Hart, 48, who directed a handful of episodes of the show, shared multiple snaps with the cast on Instagram, writing, "Bittersweet post about the series finale of @youngsheldoncbs tonight!"
"I had the absolute honor to direct a handful of episodes for this groundbreaking show with this incredible cast and so many icons coming thru the door as guest stars as well! What's a ride and congrats to all my friends on a show that made people laugh, cry and come back to appointment television! #YoungSheldon."
Nora guest star Kate Flannery, 59, wrote on Instagram, "Congratulations @youngsheldoncbs What a great run! Thank you @iain you are a smart, funny, and very kind soul. It was so great working with you. A finale is a graduation! Thank you for letting me be a small part of this lovely show a few short years ago. ❤️ You did it!!"
Vyvy Nguyen, who also guest starred on the show, then shared a cute clip on Instagram of her and Armitage having an "oink-off," writing, "I had the absolute best time working on the show, playing the mother to Tam, Sheldon’s high school best friend, and it’s been so fun to receive messages from people discovering it on Netflix. Congrats on seven wonderful seasons! #youngsheldon."
Jim Parsons, 51, and Mayim Bialik, 48, also starred in the show, reprising their roles from The Big Bang Theory, portraying adult Sheldon and his wife Amy, respectively.
In exclusive interviews with PEOPLE at PaleyFest 2024 in April, the cast reflected on the years they spent together filming the beloved CBS comedy.
“It's been very bittersweet. It's not an easy thing to know that something that's been so wonderful for us is coming to an end,” Zoe Perry, 40, who played Mary Cooper, said. “But I think I can speak for everyone that we're all just really grateful that we've gotten to tell this story, tell it for as long as we have, get to experience the audience reactions and how wonderful they've been. I think we're just so appreciative. Truly.”
Montana Jordan, 21, who played Georgie Cooper, described his castmates as a true-blue “family,” even when the cameras weren’t rolling as they did activities together outside of work. Revord in particular, bugged him “all the time” via text “to do stuff."
"I got two older sisters in real life, and on the show I got a little brother and a little sister, so I got the best of both worlds,” Jordan said, adding, “We've been a family ever since the first day we met — and we're still a family. Just because the show's ending don't mean we're not going to continue being a family. That's what kind of bond we got.”
Potts, for her part, grew emotional when PEOPLE asked her at the same event about her experiences working with Young Sheldon's younger actors.
"They were this big, and now look at them,” she said. “My God, they all turned out so beautiful and so sweet, and we feel like we had a hand in raising them … When we started out, they would sit in my lap and just play with my fingers and kiss me and tell me they love me all day long. That, and they still do actually."

hey there! i was wondering if you could help me with fcs for lucian bole, he's a harry potter side character and slytherin beater. basically any guy who looks under 22 and has a slytherin vibe would be a great help :3
Hi hun! I actually had a lot of fun looking for fcs for this one, particularly because we never really got to know Lucian Bole, and physical description of him is varied across different outlets. So, anyway, here are a list of actors that I think can play someone younger than 22, and of a “Slytherin-esque” vibe. (I wasn’t exactly sure how young you wanted him to be, so I just targeted my age range from 18-22 years old.)
David Mazouz (18)
Lucas Jade Zumann (18)
Nicholas Hamilton (18)
Evan Bird (18)
Mason Cook (18)
Caleb McClure (18)
Devin Druid (20)
Forrest Goodluck (20)
Nick Romeo Reimann (20)
Charlie Tahan (20)
Antoine-Oliver Pilon (21)
Asa Butterfield (21)
John-Alan Slachta (21)
Kodi Smit-McPhee (22)
Lucas Hedges (22)
Jacob Lofland (22)
If you can notice from my list, they’re mostly (very) underused fcs. I know most of these don’t have any gif resources, or any that are recent. If you want, I’d gladly make some for you. Just hit me up!
I hope this helped!

So since Lovely Little Losers has wrapped, Caleb has slowly been turning into Costa McClure. To top it all off, he's directing a version of Doctor Faustus. Avant-garde. With 5 actors. And a dance sequence, an escape sequence, an unrehearsed sword fight, maybe some levitation, and fake blood, which does not come out, at ALL. Art imitates life imitates art!
Because Doctor Faustus isn't hard enough to stage successfully, a different actor will be taking on the role of Faustus every night, having never rehearsed with the rest of the cast. Any of you in Auckland between the 30th May and the 3rd of June should get along to the Basement Theatre to check it out!

Second set of fancasting for Of Sand and Snow, again I decided to go with the characters ages in the books as I could and, as such, the actors from the show most definitely do not fit for this fic. Of Sand and Snow, which is going to be the first in a short series of fics, is set between 281-283AC so I chose actors/actresses who I feel better reflected the canon!ages (a few characters ages aren’t listed canonically so I made some educated guesses). If an age is not listed with a character then it means that character is no longer living. (Set I || Set III) Rhaegar Targaryen – Charlie Hunnam Elia Martell – Sibylla Deen Rhaenys Targaryen – Julianna Gamiz Robert Baratheon – Tom Cullen Stannis Baratheon – Jacob Hopkins Renly Baratheon – Cade Woodward Tywin Lannister – Philip Winchester Joanna Lannister – Annabelle Wallis Cersei Lannister – Lily-Rose Depp Jaime Lannister – Caleb McClure Tyrion Lannister – Hank Greenspan

Talks Machina Highlights - Critical Role C2E61 (May 7, 2019)
Hi, everyone! @eponymous-rose is out from a pain in the butt situation, so I’m stepping in to bring that average quality down a solid five or six points. Tonight’s preroll: guess who! No, literally, Guess Who:
Tonight’s guests: Travis Willingham & Marisha Ray.
Tonight’s announcements: earlier today, Ashley joined Taliesin for a Gail Force 5-themed action game episode of Mame Drop. VOD available now! On Saturday, May 18, Marisha will be DMing a live event for D&D Live’s Stream of Descent. Cool!
And now, Episode 61: Agreements
CR Stats! It’s been one week since Beau saw Dairon. Only one week, huh. Uk’otoa has threatened Fjord twice in the last week. It’s been 35 days since Fjord broke the second seal. Everyone marvels it’s been simultaneously that long & that little time, and Marisha & Travis both have a loooong drink. Brian has an electronic mug that keeps his drink warm. It has an app. It tells him when it’s at its desired temperature. Travis calls him Douche McClure, but holy smokes I want one.
Brian tells a story about how he thought Travis was falling asleep one episode, but he was pondering the mysteries of the universe “a la Liam O’Brien.” Marisha empathizes with the trap of being told by the internet to READ YOUR SPELLS, only to try to do that & miss the last round of combat, then to be told PAY ATTENTION.
There’s no difference between Fjord & Travis’s reaction to his depowerment (sheer terror). Marisha talks about how he missed a solid twenty minutes of gameplay afterwards from being so distracted. Travis says he was “movie breathing” too, so hard it was audible on the mics. (Laura has to tell him to stop breathing so loud in movies a lot.) Brian, who’s been with Travis in haunted houses & knows when he’s genuinely scared, realized how terrified he was in the moment even through the laptop screen.
Dani: “Uk’otoa is exactly the IRS.” Brian: “How about the IRIS?” Ugh.
Everyone points out Travis is cosplaying Steve Jobs tonight. It’s uncanny.
On Beau’s relationship with deities: she’s the only non-magic person in the party, and a lot of the other party members get their magic from very powerful beings telling them they’re special. Even Caleb was pulled to a school as a labeled prodigy. Now Beau is questioning why she’s “the average person in a group of extraordinary people.” Brian wonders if part of it might be her feeling like she gets her own strength without the need of powers granted by gods. Marisha’s exploring the powers Beau now has (that people saw in her earlier as a flaw, especially given her criminal past), possibly as something she might be remarkable for after all. She wonders if she should be talking to Ioun the way everyone else is talking to their gods.
Fjord fears his powers’ loss because of both his inability to hold his own with his friends and as his last tangible bond with Vandren. He desperately wants to reconnect with him (”You’re okay? Are you okay? I’m okay, if you’re...wondering...”). He also recognizes he’s a half-orc with a strength of 11 if he doesn’t have any powers. Brian: “Do you regret picking your class?” Travis: “I REGRET ALL OF IT!” Marisha: “I felt really bad, because as soon as the cameras went off I could see Travis was freaking out, and the first thing I said was, ‘This is why I never fuck with warlocks!’“ Travis: “I can do what you do! Stunning strike! Pap-pap! I got no nothin’!” He imagines his sword just flopping out at his feet in the middle of a tense ambush and having to wish everyone else well.
How does the Krynn dynasty recognition, the house, & the growing acclaim of the M9 affect the relationship Beau has with Dairon? She has no idea. It depends on how well Beau explains her perspective of it all being all knowledge. Marisha tells us that when Nott first exclaimed that blue cloth they found was Dairon’s, she secretly 100% thought it was as well, even when she verbally denied it.
Travis remembers none of this under the loud heartbeat in his ears at the time.
Travis, as a fan, loves the “Thunderlord’s” style of worship. Marisha likes the seamless relationship Caduceus has with the Wildmother. Brian has a hard pass on both “Travis’s thing” & the Traveler “obviously evil,” but also likes the Wildmother. Marisha wonders if Travis will lose his powers if they free & then kill Uk’otoa. Travis, almost crying: “I don’t know!!”
Holy smokes, guys, there are so many quick references and jokes in this one I can’t get them all. Seriously, this is so entertaining! Catch a VOD if you can.
Travis actually had no intention of talking to Wursh in the last episode. He only went there because Yasha came after him. He would have just wandered around if she hadn’t forced the issue. Marisha: “That’s a healthy way of coping.” Travis: “You’re saying that to Fjord, right? Travis is a very responsible person and a good friend.” He and Marisha are being SO SILLY TONIGHT, g’dang.
Reminder, GIF of the Week has been suspended; the replacement will be announced next week.
Beau’s generally forgotten about the precarious nature of their humanity in the Dynasty until Waccoh’s reminder. She’s generally headstrong, and it was a good hint she might need to rein it in a bit.
Fanart of the Week: @thealeksdemon with a gorgeous portrait of Fjord that is apparently nowhere else on the internet.
They’re doing another Space Jam??????? Whattttt??????
Beau thought the super-fried talking goblin corpse was a bit weird. It was also a little odd he carried the goblin for several hours on his back.
Marisha & Travis both miss a question because they were posing artfully. These two are so goofy.
Fjord keeps himself close to himself; he’s not comfortable with the recent leadership, as well as all the new powers. Beau is still thinking about Dairon’s instructions to avoid getting close to people.
Travis confirms Fjord shouts “Eldritch Blast” out loud every time. He’s dead certain the group will think less of him if he can’t pull his own weight. “They’d hold auditions! For the Mighty Eight!” He also mentions that he can’t take care of anyone without his powers. Marisha says they’d have offered to help him quest to get his powers back: you know, toss him in some salt water, let him get a little briny, leave him in there “not beyond the threshold of a revivify...” Travis: “Oh, wow, you’re trying to reset the hard drive!” Marisha: “Fuck, you guys, he’s BSODed.” She admits the plan might need a little R&D.
Is it worse when the check engine light turns on or off?
Beau is conflicted about participating in the military industrial complex. She’s aware it’s going to be used to kill families.
There’s an extended, hilarious aside where Beau tries to say the M9 have become the bad guys, but basically implies that Beau alone is just straight-up evil. It’s tear-jerkingly hilarious.
Fjord’s hesitant to tell everyone because he’s fallen in love a bit with his new self. He has no idea what his agreement (if there even was one) with Uk’otoa was/is. For Fjord, going back to being “normal” would be awful. “He still has work to do, too.”
Beau likes tweaking the noses of powerful people, she’s just trying to be more judicious about it.
Travis straight up quotes Jurassic Park over Liam guest-star-cuddling Henry. This episode is seriously amazing.
Travis says he “doesn’t know anything about an accent drop” as far as the breakdown last episode. Unclear if serious! He’s fascinated by the connection to Vandren as a past Chosen of Uk’otoa.
Yasha’s past reveal was an “oh shit” moment for Beau. When asked if this changes how Beau feels about Yasha, Marisha delicately says, “I don’t want people to overestimate Beau’s intentions towards Yasha,” but that she also doesn’t want to hurt people’s internal canons. Travis very directly tells her that she’s played it how’s she’s played it, and what people infer from that is on them. Marisha nods and decides she doesn’t want to add anything else.
Fjord doesn’t care that Beau’s wearing Avantika’s coat.
Being denied access to the library makes it 100% more enticing for Beau.
Fjord feels....goooood about having a new house/family as long as things stay the way they are (in re: his warlock abilities). Marisha recalls Fjord telling Beau to take care of her family because it was the only one she had...but now she has this new family that she likes as well. Only a few people know about her little brother, so it’s a weird family dynamic. Travis: “There’s the family you have and the family you choose.”
This is Fjord’s third family, since his first found family (Vandren) got ripped away.
We out! Is it Thursday yet?

LIW Review: Lovely Little Losers
Much as I love NMTD as my favorite adaptation of my favorite Shakespeare play, LBD for introducing me to the genre and the genre to the world, and so many other literary-inspired webseries for so many reasons, Lovely Little Losers will always be my favorite.
The premise is simple: Benedick, Balthazar, and Pedro (now going by Peter) from Nothing Much To Do are going to university in Wellington and living in a flat together with the lovely and awkward Freddie Kingston. Freddie and Ben decide to impose some order on the flat with a set of absurd flat rules that everyone has to follow, including a curfew, vegetarianism (and vegan Fridays), Ben getting to film everything, imposed flat bonding in the form of challenges, and the worst rule of all, no romantic relationships, aka no shenanigans.
The series is loosely based on Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost, but in reality there are only about five episodes that have anything to do with the plot of the original play. Apart from those moments, the inspiration mostly just creates the premise and the names of certain characters.
Plot overview:
Freddie, Benedick, Peter, and Balthazar sign a bunch of ridiculous flat rules that at first seem like a good idea and quickly spiral out of control. Then Beatrice and Meg decide to road trip to Wellington, where, due to The Rules, they end of sleeping in a tent in the back garden along with Kit, another friend of the flat. It’s hard to say more about the actual plot without spoilers, since it’s barely revealed what’s been going on until almost the end (starting around “SARDINES” and going until “FEATHERS”), so I’ll move on to my other categories.
Format:
All actual episodes are posted on the Lovely Little Losers YouTube channel, with Ben as the main (unreliable) narrator, Meg as secondary (mostly reliable) narrator, and other characters (such as Beatrice and Peter) occasionally filming/uploading videos as well. Fifteen videos are devoted to “Balth in a Bath,” which was all filmed on the same day in February but is uploaded sporadically throughout the year. There are also between fourteen and seventeen song videos, depending on how you define “song” (more on that later). There are also a few extras on other YouTube channels that, while not technically part of the story, help illuminate things considerably (the channel I’m referring to here is Zoos Job, though there are also two videos on the Nothing Much To Do channel).
How to watch LoLiLo:
This is ordinarily not one of my categories, but in this case it is very necessary. You MUST read the video descriptions, and also check the comments section, to have ANY idea what’s really going on here, and even then most of it’s going to be subtext. You can watch the series either in the order it was intended to be watched in or in chronological order (which ruins a little of the mystery but averts a Zoos Job marathon later on. Links to both playlists are below). Keep in mind that Benedick is the narrator of nearly the whole thing, and that he is editing the content to fit his own agenda – the one @beatriceeagle calls “Project Birdy-Fingers.” This means that two-thirds of the love stories in LoLiLo are almost entirely hidden from the viewers and once again need to be read through subtext.
Realism:
Off the charts dedicated. This series has a much more experimental style than NMTD – several episodes use more than one camera angle, nearly every episodes has multiple characters in it, and is frequently filmed over multiple days and edited into non-chronological order – but there is still always a reason for the camera to be there and always a reason, in-universe, for it to have been edited and uploaded the way it was. This dedication to realism made things that much more difficult for The Candle Wasters, but it also adds hugely to the value of the series.
Music:
As I mentioned above, many, many episodes of LLL are actually songs. The series has been referred to by many people as a “secret musical” because of this. 11 songs are almost entirely character development. “A Merry Note” was written by Shakespeare and was mostly The Candle Wasters being clever and making us think our ship had sailed. “Heaven in Her Lips” is a cute love song. “Stay” is secretly plot, though the lyrics also assist in understanding “one foot on sea one on shore one in the boiling hot lava,” which is the real first episode of LoLiLo. Then we get to the question of whether certain other videos are songs. “Berry Nice,” while a Balth in a Bath episode, is clearly a song. But what about “Beatrice and Ballads,” which is essentially the reprise of “Beatrice, You’re Vivacious”? What about “A Sonnet,” which, although not a song, is the inverse of “An Ode” and should therefore be included for the sake of symmetry? Of course, the numbers don’t matter, because the songs are amazing. The songs themselves were mainly written by Reuben Hudson, Elsie Bollinger, and Maude Morris, with some help from other writers, and are performed mostly by Reuben Hudson and Mouce Young, with help from most of the rest of the cast.
Representation/diversity:
Very strong. Several characters are not white at all (Kit and Jaquie), and race just generally is a non-issue. LGBT representation is also great, especially for a pre-2016 webseries: Peter is now openly bisexual, Balthazar actually uses the word “gay” to describe himself, Paige and Chelsey are a lesbian couple who have basically the only functional relationship in the whole series, and the sexuality of several other characters (Kit, Freddie, Costa, Vegan Fred), is never defined, though I headcanon them all as bi. Though there are no disabled characters, there are extensive explorations of mental health issues, though as usual for The Candle Wasters, this is largely in subtext. Also, people actually talk about money in this and have realistic issues with money, which is a nice change from every other webseries I’ve seen.
Film quality:
Fantabulous, especially since The Candle Wasters had an actual budget for this series. As mentioned before, there are even episodes shot with multiple cameras THAT ACTUALLY WORK. Yay for realism and quality combined is all I can say.
My three favorite things about Lovely Little Losers:
1) My two favorite episodes, “RUSSIANFUDGE” and “ACCOSTED”
2) Balth in a Bath, because Balth in a Bath is perfect and innocent and lovely and actually includes a lot of exposition and character/relationship development that doesn’t exist anywhere else.
3) The fact that I keep getting more out of it on every rewatch – and I have now seen this thing in full ten times, though it’s been more like twenty for some episodes (”TEA,” “RUSSIANFUDGE”), and I have no idea how many times I’ve watched/listened to some of the songs.
Difficult things about Lovely Little Losers:
On first viewing it can be almost impossible to understand what’s going on almost all the time, and it can be easy to skip things because the series seems largely plotless. Do not give up hope! There is indeed a plot, but you have to hunt for it. If you finish the series and still feel confused or dissatisfied, I recommend a rewatch and @beatriceeagle and @marydebenham ‘s LLL rewatch metas, which have been invaluable for many the confused/dissatisfied viewer. It can also be frustrating that certain things (like apologies) are never said on camera, but we can blame realism for that.
All I can say is, despite its surface flaws, LoLiLo is not only my favorite webseries but also only of my favorite pieces of literature of all time. There’s so much here, in character, in content, and in theme, and I could talk about it for ages more than I already have. Although on first viewing I had no idea what to make of it, I now give LLL a solid and glowing 5/5 stars.
