In 1970, I made this piece. It was displayed, positioned as in photo, in the center of the huge galley at Bradford College. There I acquired my sense of the meaning of "conceptual art," under the tutelage of Doug Huebler and Don Burgy. Each box is plywood, 6.5" h x 8.5" w x 5 "d. They all are nailed shut and locked. Tne piece is called "Three Stages of An Idea." #1: The Idea; #2: The Execution of The Idea; and #3: The Ramifications of the Execution of The Idea. Thus, the process for making my work was laid out. Several people got it back then. All of my Art Professors did. This piece is a culmination in my learning. Afterwards, I went to @calarts @calartsalumni. Feeling so very blessed lately: one of my best and most badass friends moved back to my state, I live 1 hr from the coast, I have an air-conditioned home (& an awesome landlord), adorable sweeties for pets, amazing friends, and a super supportive & empowering relationship!!
