I have a deep penchant for 80s inspired synthwave music. We’re also very fond of Swedish enchantress Cajsa Siik here at IHM. Is it any wonder that we’ve fallen as hard as we have for this remix of her beautiful ballad White Noise by Forêt de Vin? The producer coins his remix “1988 edit”, and it certainly takes us back to the awesome decade with its swirly luster and dreamy synths. Cajsa Siik’s voice is as gorgeously lissome as ever on this welcome re-work. You can listen to the original via Spotify, here.

New Audio: JOVM Mainstay Cajsa Siik Releases an Atmospheric and Slow-Burning New Single
New Audio: JOVM Mainstay Cajsa Siik Releases an Atmospheric and Slow-Burning New Single @cajsasiik @BWSFY
Throughout a significant portion of this site’s 10+ year history, I’ve managed to spill a lot of virtual ink covering the Umea, Sweden-born and based, singer/songwriter and cellist Cajsa Siik. Since the release of her full-length debut, 2012’s Contra, the JOVM mainstay has released two more albums, including 2017’s DOMINO, an EP and a handful of attention-grabbing singles — and she’s released…

[Listen] CAJSA SIIK @CajsaSiik — #Domino
[Listen] CAJSA SIIK @CajsaSiik — #Domino
We first wrote about Stockholm, Sweden based CAJSA SIIK in 2014 when we found her rumbled cortification “adorable and hypnotic…”
She has since been described as a mix of Daughter, Kate Bush and Bats For Ashes.
We thought her vocals on “Relentless Delight” were “wonderfully sparged – as if fed through accompaniments like a bubble diffuser…”
Following on from her highly acclaimed 2014 sophomore…

Sweden’s Cajsa Siik never fails to enthrall me with her breathy chiffon form of ethereal alt pop. New song White Noise is Scandipop enchantment to the max, a melancholic twinkler and scenic marcher reminiscent of fellow indie artists Ofelia K, Skott, and Kyla La Grange with the charismatic whim and caprice of Kate Bush. White Noise is taken from Cajsa Siik’s upcoming third album Domino set to drop early summer. The single is out now on iTunes. Stream via Soundcloud below.

Cajsa Siik Spins Melancholic Pop Into "White Noise" @CajsaSiik This might be the first time we've heard of Cajsa Siik, but the Swedish singer has been quietly killing it in Europe for a while now, her first two albums receiving critical acclaim that could be heard from her native Stockholm to the airwaves in Berlin.

Cajsa Siik - Talk To Trees
Cajsa Siik seems to bounce around between folk and pop and all places in-between. Love the breezy vibe and tempo of her latest, Talk To Trees, that makes one want to skip along the sidewalk (at least, mentally) and see if you can stop yourself from singing along to the refrain.
