Resumen: las cosas con Ekko ya no eran como antes, y todo indicaba que pronto terminarían dándole fin a su relación. Pero cierto incidente con el hextech terminó dejando a la joven mecánica en un universo paralelo, donde su visión de la vida daría un vuelco de 180 grados.

Cuando Ekko despertó en aquella realidad alterna, no le costó demasiado entender que algo raro estaba pasando.

Estaba rodeado de conocidos, conocidos que se sentían como extraños. Y tenía la urgencia de volver a casa.

Creía que estaba solo, solo y volviéndose loco, pero entonces vio a una ____ más que risueña acercarse con Mylo.

—¿Cómo amaneció mi zaunita favorito?—la chica atrapó sus mejillas con una mano, dejando un beso en su frente—. ¿Listo para continuar con las prácticas?—

—¿____?—Ekko la miró confundido—. ¿Eres tú?—

—Creo que sí, bastante segura.—respondió con burla—. ¿Qué pasa, conejito? ¿Te sientes... bien?—

Entonces ____ los vio. Los garabatos de Ekko en aquel cuaderno le hicieron comprender enseguida lo que estaba pasando. Y bajo la confundida mirada de los presentes, la chica salió corriendo del bar.

Ekko salió a uno de los callejones linderos, sintiendo la asfixiante presión de todo aquello en el pecho. No estaba en casa, no tenía a su gente... Y esa no era su ____. O al menos eso pensó en un inicio. Pero entonces Heimendinger apareció, escoltado por la chica. Y enseguida lo pusieron al corriente.

—... ¿Cuánto llevas aquí?—la mirada de Ekko se mantenía en la chica del otro lado de la mesa, quien tallaba en madera unos pequeños animales.

—5 años, Masomenos.—lo miró—. Heim poco más de 3 años... Y tú unas horitas parece.—

—No te ves feliz de verme.—

____ dejó su lobo a medio tallar sobre la mesa, mirándolo con seriedad.

—... No pienso irme de aquí.—Ekko frunció el ceño—. Los ayudaré en lo que necesiten... Pero no volveré a esa realidad.—

—¿Qué...?—

La chica se levantó de la mesa, perdiéndose en el grupo de gente de la entrada y saliendo sin más.

—Ella ha hecho de esta realidad su hogar, joven Ekko.—Heim llamó su atención—. Pero estoy seguro de que si hablamos con ella, la convenceremos de venir a casa.—

Ekko no se veía muy seguro de aquello, pero no tenían otra opción. Volvería a su realidad con la chica. Sin excepción.

—En esta dimensión, Vi murió.—____ le mostró a Ekko las ruinas de aquel lugar—. Jayce tampoco está, y de Cait y Viktor tampoco sabemos nada... Lo más seguro es que ella siga siendo de la guardia y que Vik haya muerto. Recuerda que aquí no existen las hextech.—

—... ¿No intentaste volver?—

—Al principio.—la chica caminaba con curiosidad por el lugar—. Pero yo no soy tan buena como tú o Heim... Construyo lo que me indiques, no hago planos desde cero.—lo miró—. Solo me resigné a adaptarme.—

—Y ahora no quieres irte... ¿Dejarás a todos los que nos necesitan solos?—

—Mis padres murieron con el ataque de Jinx a Piltover, no tengo otra familia... Nada me ata a ese lugar.—

—... ¿Y yo?—

____ se detuvo frente a una pared en ruinas, notando un brillo entre las grietas.

—Te enviaré a casa sano y salvo ¿No es signo de lo mucho que te quiero?—

—Si me quisieras, vendrías conmigo.—la chica resopló con cierta gracia.

—¿Me harás un chantaje emocional? ¿Justo tú? Por favor...—Con sumo cuidado, ____ comenzó a quitar los fragmentos azulados de la pared.

—¿Qué quieres decir con eso?—Ekko se acercó nervioso.

—Lo nuestro ya no funcionaba... Hace mucho no lo hacía. Estábamos juntos por costumbre, pero ninguno de los dos quería admitirlo... tú y yo sabemos que si algo no funciona, se desarma.—

—Si, para repararlo y volverlo a intentar.—El chico la miró impaciente.

—Y lo volví a intentar, con el Ekko de aquí... Eres tú, pero esa faceta hermosa de la que me enamoré.—____ se sintió extraña al decirlo en voz alta—. No quiero dejarlo.—

—... ¿Me engañaste conmigo mismo?—la escuchó resoplar con gracia.

—No es engaño si son la misma persona.—

—Tú lo dijiste, no somos iguales.—

La chica no dijo nada más, se limitó a sacar los fragmentos de la pared.

—No quiere venir porque se enamoró de mi.—Heim miró a un Ekko frustrado, que realizaba cálculos en un rincón—. Cuanto más lo pienso, más loco es.—

—No es tan raro, el Ekko de esta dimensión es muy diferente a ti, joven.—aquello llamó la atención del inventor—. No me malinterpretes. No es mejor, o peor. Solo... Diferente.—

—¿En qué sentido?—

—Bueno... Aquí no estamos en plena guerra. El Ekko de aquí no tiene las prioridades que tú tienes.—Heim sobrepensaba demasiado cada cosa que salía de su boca. Ekko notó eso—. Tiene otro trato con ____... Uno más ¿Cariñoso? ¿Atento?—

Entonces Ekko supo por dónde venía el asunto.

—Bueno... Puede que no haya sido muy atento... pero estamos en épocas difíciles, Heim.—

—Tienes tus prioridades, como ya dije... Tu relación amorosa no parece serlo. Y si la joven ____ no se siente a gusto, es normal que se haga a un lado. Y no deberías juzgarla.—

—¡Me abandonará por mi otro yo, Heim! ¿Cómo se supone que lidie con eso?—

—si no riegas la flor, se marchitará... No te ofendas si no puedes revitalizar sus pétalos.—Heim volvió su atención al invento frente a él—. Si ella quiere quedarse, es su decisión. Al menos nos ayudará a irnos a casa.—

No, por supuesto que no. Ekko no se iría de allí sin ____.

—Un puñado de moras, fresas, hielo y un poco de azúcar. Vamos, adelante.—

Mylo activó aquella licuadora, y por fallos de la tapa, terminó haciendo un desastre. ____ rió emocionada al ver la cara de Vander llena de batido de frutas.

—¿Problemas técnicos?—Ekko se acercó a la barra, tendiéndole un pañuelo a la chica, quien secó enseguida los restos de su rostro.

—Se rompió el seguro, ya lo reparo.—____ lo miró risueña, y Ekko notó entonces lo poco que la había visto feliz en ese último tiempo—. ¿Cómo va el proyecto con Heim?—

—Pausado de momento, nuestra mecánica fue por algo de beber y no volvió más.—Ekko alzó las cejas divertido, y la sonrisa de la chica no hizo más que agrandarse. Ekko se contagió de esa emoción.

—Perdón perdón, ya vuelvo.—Ekko negó apenas.

—Reparemos esta licuadora, viniste justo por esto ¿No?—____ sonrió.

—Esto es delicioso.—

—¿Verdad que si? Yo bebía esto cuando era pequeña.—____ y Ekko volvían al taller de Ekko caminando a paso tranquilo, disfrutando del batido de frutas recién hecho—. Antes de ir al Consejo con mis padres, tomábamos batidos en un puesto de la plaza central... Era mi momento favorito del día.—Ekko la miró.

—¿Ellos aquí...?—

—Están vivos, sí. Yo estoy aquí como intermediaria entre ambas naciones... Tal y como debió pasar aquella vez.—____ lo miró—. Aquí, todo pasó como debía pasar.—

—Vi esta muerta.—

—Y por ello, Powder no tomó las gemas, no los atacaron los de Piltover... Fue toda una cadena de sucesos que desembocaron en esto... Nosotros reparando una licuadora para que Vander empiece a vender batidos.—sonrió con cierto pesar—. Perdóname por querer ser feliz en un mundo pacifista.—

—... Si tú te quedas aquí... No te tendré en casa.—____ lo miró sorprendida—. Asi que lo siento, pero te llevaré al hombro de ser necesario.—

—No creo ser tan relevante.—

—Lo eres, ni siquiera deberías dudarlo.—

—Tú me hiciste dudarlo.—

La chica estaba por entrar al hogar de Ekko, cuando el joven la detuvo.

—Lo lamento, ____. Sé que piensas que lo nuestro ya no funciona pero debe hacerlo...—las manos que sujetaban sus hombros subieron a las mejillas—. Eres lo único que me queda... No me hagas regresar a un mundo donde no estará la persona que amo.—

El rostro de la chica se tornó completamente rojo, y Ekko ya no recordaba la última vez que vio ese lado avergonzado de ella.

¿Tan mal estaban las cosas entre ambos?

—¡Los estaba esperando!—Heim abrió la puerta eufórico—. Creo que ya lo tengo.—

—Entonces... Solo entran.—

____ miraba aquella especie de portal preocupada.

—Corrección: entramos.—Ekko se paró a su lado—. Tú vienes con nosotros.—

—Ya te dije que no.—

—Y yo ya te dije que te cargaré como costal de patatas en caso de ser necesario.—____ lo miró frustrada—. No me iré sin ti, y si no nos vamos, nuestro mundo morirá.—

Las manos de Ekko tomaron las ajenas, presionándolas con cariño.

—... Aquí, Ekko es mi novio. Mi compañero adorable... Alli, Ekko es el salvador de Zaun.—____ frunció sus labios, intentando no romperse—. No quiero un héroe, quiero al niño del que me enamoré.—

Ekko unió sus frentes.

—Seré lo que sea que tú necesites... Solo quédate a mi lado.—

____ asintió apenas, recibiendo un beso en la mejilla antes de sentir como Ekko la guiaba al portal

hey!! i’m looking for RPGs that feature cute animal characters as playable characters. i’ll take nonplayable if they’re an active part of the story and are present throughout the whole game

some examples of the kind of characters i’m looking for: * poshul, pip, and draggy (chrono cross) * chu-chu (xenogears) * mog (final fantasy vi) * red xiii, cait sith (final fantasy vii) * myau (phantasy star) * morgana (persona 5)

examples of what i’m NOT looking for: * games where you play as a human and collect creatures to battle for/with you (pokemon, shin megami tensei, every game in the mon genre honestly) * anthropomorphic animal characters (freya from ff9, frog from chrono trigger), these are good just not what i’m looking for

Hey! Just found your page and I'm really enjoying all the in depth information. Apologies if this has been asked already- but I've seen on Reddit heaps that Clerith fans use Cait Siths prophecies as some kind of 'gotcha!' and... well.. I've actually only just played the remake recently and remembered the hectic shipping war... but isn't Cait Sith just a robot controlled by Reeve? Are they seriously assuming some Shinra suit has 'mystical abilities'. Like, am I missing something? Is there some kind of proof that Reeve is really a mystical wizard who is super into horoscopes? Lol.

Yep, Cait Sith is a robot with a type of ai brought to life because Reeve is an Inspire, which is a person with the ability to give life to inanimate objects and connect to them mentally. I low key wonder if he's distantly related to cetra, but there's very little info about his abilities or how they work.

Cait Sith is a liar, a spy and his prediction skill has been faulty since his appearance in Before Crisis, which crosses into CC, so I'd assume between 2-5 years his skills have been busted.

His predictions are pretty much pulled out his ass, but because they're so vague, they wind up fitting some events. So while some people went off about his first prediction being about Aerith, the fact is it's about the loss of Cloud's own ego when he gives Sephiroth the black materia. That's also stated in the ultis info about the scene in the whirlwind maze.

His second prediction is also misinterpreted because the "stars" that it's trying to align belong to a false persona based on Zack, so if Cait Sith's prediction refers to anybody, it'd be Zack and Aerith, not Cloud.

Cait Sith's whole deal is everything he says and does has a double or mistaken meaning because he's not just one character, he's two, so he has this duality happening. He also has to constantly manipulate and convince his allies he's a reliable party member while being a two faced spy, so despite the annoying and loud plushie exterior, Cait Sith has a lot of depth.

If cleriths wanna claim a lying busted robot that's on them. It's not like they played the game and understand the character anyway 🤷

i really wish 4 sum expansion on the reeve bein an 'inspire' in ff7.. obvis i no it was only ever conceptually but it kinda interested me.. in my hc inspire is a materia n i think dirge implies reeve n caits connection is mental in some way but honestly? cant rmbr and i dont care ab that game either way.. nyway mentally controlled perhaps but animated through materia.. ff7 og implies reeve directly speaks through cait (moving away seemingly fr privacy in the highwind to directly speak to heidegger & scarlet.. slipping n speaking accented (implying he speaks through cait literally n cait isnt just putting thoughts to word) in my head inspire is a materia tht animates where reeve is controlling it in a sephiroth esque way.. referencing his 'will' controlling jenova reeves 'will' controlling cait sith but he still has to speak for him... again im not a fan of doc or bcc.. kinda meh on cc (zack fair bias but cc plot hater) .. im largely making stuff up fr my own hcs sake but we kinda see ff7og jump btween cait n reeve so we know reeve isnt literally controlling cait so itz kinda my take on the mental link we no they have.. srry gonna b horrible here fur a sec my guy tht joined shinra n climbed the ranks with good intention and high hopes but became jaded by shinras internal corruption n was pushed to the brink after the plate collapsed i think the GS themed dolls n cait siths persona are a representative of who he is at his core and unfortunately its a little silly......... his scottish accent is a reference 2 his parents accents so we no cait sith is personal to Some degree.... god forbid a guy work a 9-5 n still be full of whimsy..i like WRO conceptually but im gna go out on a few hot takes n just shoot down what i absolutely hate

cool concept but i think the wro allocated shinra's (company and family) abundant wealth to construction (they oversaw edge's construction) but to alternative sources of fuel.. windmills in cosmo canyon solar panels in costa del sol hydropower in nibelheim the possibilities are endless.. barret directly oversees construction cait sith tells the party he evacuated midgar to the slums and we know marlene and elmyra fled to kalm presumably lots of others did too.. housing refugee support and renewable energy construction r priorities over a full military.. n listen i dont think its entirely realistic not to have anyone keeping people safe in a world with regular fiends escaped dangerous experiments and just general monsters but WRO doesnt have a "military" military.. just WRO force thats less militaristic and more.. task forcey.. anyway after shinra's fall i dont think reeve really needs cait sith outside of combat.. since i already hc inspire to b materia i think hed b a prolific materia user.. perhaps not the most fit to fight being in his 40s and having worked a desk job for a majority of his life....... but it would be funny if he used cait sith similarly to how lulu fights w her dolls......... and being (like lulu) black mage...esque.. the way aerith is white mage esque

The combat is satisfying and the story is surprisingly engaging for such a light-hearted game. Me: Bot: …But nothing can compare to the majesty of our own Princess [name]. She's got the charm of Morgana from "Persona 5", the playfulness of Palico from "Monster Hunter", and the elegance of Cait Sith from "Final Fantasy VII". If there was a game about her, it would be a best-seller for sure!

Idea: Persona users can hear their Personas in their mind when going about their daily lives.

This is unfortunate for any Wild Cards, because all the gods and monsters from various mythologies, philosophies, and cultures are all widely different from each other and often don't get along. When Joker isn't being pelted with constant questions and contradictory advice, he's staring off into space because all his Personas are fighting again and it turns out having Metatron and Lucifier equipped at the same time wasn't a good idea because they can't fucking stand each other.

Wild Cards are just the overworked parents of their games and their own Personas are at least 20% of the reason why.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY TIMES I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS BEFORE! :O!!

I absolutely adore this because you're RIGHT! Ren would have SO much going on in his head ALL the time especially as he gains more and more slots for Personas

Gosh imagine the chaos of having ALL the archangels in your possession + Satanael, Ren would not be able to get any sleep

And thinking of the other thieves they'd most likely be envious of Ren's power but he would be so done all day every day and just be like "you don't want this, trust me" and they'd be like ??? because they'd probably think that the only Persona Ren can hear is the one he has equipped but NOPE

I also drew a scenario because I love this idea so much (I wanted an excuse to draw the faves ♥)

Smt5 is rly good so far idk how overwhelming it might feel for newcomers or people coming from persona 5 but it seems pretty accessible?

Like it does throw you right in but i guess compared to like a long jrpg tutorial thats probably preferable xhshxjsksk

Im not the first person to compare it to pokemon and i definitely wont be the last but if you like pokemon and can handle something thats like really edgy all the time for no reason i would reccomend it its rly fun. And if you have a 3ds i would recommend smt4 and then smt4 apocalypse...although the map is so much better in smt5 zhvxisjdo
