i worked long and hard on this piece so reblogs are greatly appreciated ^_^ !!!

1. scrapbook formatting ; i've had this headcanon since the early days of c!aimsey that she keeps anything they can keep their hands on in a big , big journal/scrapbook . everything from flowers to drawings to daily journal entries . and this entire piece is just a mishmash of things they've collected over the years !

the spools of thread and pin cushion are a little callback to another hc i have that bloom taught their self to sew from a young age to repair damaged clothes :-)

2. c!guqqie's drawing ; this part is a little drawing i imagine cguq gave caims not too long after they met ! i tried my best to replicate guqqie's style while putting my own spin on it . the stickers were added by cguq , as shown by the Attempt at making them weathered .

3. photos and polaroids ; c!aimsey takes a lot of photos , much like cc!aimsey does ! so i made sure to include a handful

first off , past friends from the bearsmp : in order we have c!bear and c!bill on the top row with c!neptune and c!moonzy on the bottom . no other comments to add i just miss them :'-)

okay i realize now that this one doesn't make sense in the canon timeline , but i enjoy drawing c!ranboo much more than ghostboo so .....

and that's what i hc c!ran's handwriting looks like ! they used a glitter gel pen ^_^

and the c!guqqie polaroid is definitely one of my favorite parts of the entire piece . she just looks so happy here :'-))) . the butterfly is a small tortoiseshell butterfly , which are native to ireland . just for funsies bc cc!guqqie is irish lol

4. michael's drawing ; this one is another personal favorite ! i feel like i nailed the look of a child's drawing pretty well ^_^

this one is also up to interpretation . can michael see c!guqqie's ghost ? idk ! that's up to you ! (and those blurry dots are tear stains hehe)

5. c!aimsey playlist receipt ; this part was inspired by those spotify receipts . except i made this one by hand with a few songs from the official c!aimsey playlist made by aimsey themself . yeah it was pretty tedious but i'm proud of the outcome

6. extra bits ; stickers , stamps , and tickets to fill the empty spots ! adds to that scrapbook-y look too

7. c!aimsey info card ; no closeup for this one because i Did Not draw this part ! if i remember correctly , early bsmp members had a little passport-like infocard to go along with their addition to the server .

Something practical to say huh? Well, he's not wrong because Adam is currently mid-jam session on that axe shaped guitar of his, and the most practical thing that follows his mutilation of a melody is the obnoxious battle cry of a guitar solo without pesky lyrics to distract from the "-nyAHNANA NA NA BANANANUUUUUAHHHHH!!!" 'Practical. Progressive. Pussy Peril. Adam.' T-shirt sales guaranteed.

Though it would take some kind of feat to distract him from his duties in drumming up more vibrations via high-strung strings and swirling them into the whirlwind of a pillar busy picking and assembling small pieces of the Goetian manor like peeling skin off a sunburnt back, a display of growing multiple beast heads certainly fit the minimum requirement to turn his own, half cocked and banging in place along with the beat. Oh yeah...just imagining how hard an act of headbanging would fuck with four thrashing points, the angel dips a golden wing tip into the swirl of his churning twister of sound and window glass and rides the pillar up higher escalator style for a better gander of those drooling maws from above. Aw! The bottom one on the left...was that a cleft lip? Adorbs.

"Funny you're so ON about ~dignity~ when you're over here giving all this HEAD. Lemme guess- this is your circumcision 'trauma' story talking~?" A tsk is interrupted by the blast of magic from below. He might as well have settled over an air vent with how it inflates his robe into a parachute and shoots him upwards with a jerk of jarring turbulence, leaving him momentarily as fucked as Mary Poppins. Annoyed gaze flicking down at the source, he flings the neck of his guitar downwards once he takes up the task of royally fucking the environment again with his thunderous set of strumming to fling more sound waves at the staggered beast, its snowy feathered companion, and the fuckwad that thought it cute to blow him off course like a dandelion seed. That just left-...someone unimportant, he's sure!

Considering there's literally OWL DRAGON heads to pspspsps at, which he does by flinging the beast's round of testy sound waves at, a particularly screechy one to mimic the four sides of its snarling. "Or are you just trying to get AHEAD of me here~!?" Practically preening his strings with each forward flick of wrist, he chuckles as the weight of the axe suddenly drops his forearms just a tad with the added weight of its swelling. Though the party just getting started gets postponed with the swoop of black feathers bursting up by his blindside.

It's with a startled shove of his shoulder that he interrupts the neck-bound slash, catching it at the crook between collarbone and shoulder cap in a spurt of golden blood that splashes Caim's obsidian feathers a shade of iridescence. It's a quick shock and an inconvenience that he issues a shrieking hiss and a fierce beat of golden wings against his attacker to both slap the other away with the edges of his primaries and issue a backwards gust, and to gain altitude near the newly formed, thrashing heads that made up Paimon's four sided murder boner. "You fucking...BITCH." He snarls down at Caim, making sure the next few sonic booms from his renewed playing finds their way towards her. Birds were birds...if he could flip them over their own ass in the air long enough, then they'd get to taste exactly what he was cooking with the unrelenting symphony at his talon tips. "Giving head sloppy as that, girlie? Well your form's shit! Here ~ " He clucks, nodding horns towards the thrashing necks of the beast before them all. "Let me show you HOW IT'S..." Another burst of growth in his axe plumps it further as he waits in the twisting winds of the pillar before beating his wings to shoot out towards a different pillar to climb...the neck of one of Paimon's heads. The 'unassuming but quirky' one. Robes brush the feathery fury of whipping shadows as he spirals up the base midway, he pauses in his plucking to grasp the very end of his axe's neck and swing the momentum of his full body weight into a vicious spiral of his own.

Thomas Laveau was a God damned genius for that one. All hail the stone boobie gods slash beehive fortresses.

It was on to a new day though. It was babysitting day. That's what Flotsam was referring to it as even though they were getting grown adult visitors because of the way Caim spoke of them as his children. It was the chimera boy the Hellbird had a real protective demeanor about. He had a boring name, Adam. But, the demon was often religiously symbolic like that. Valerie recalled meeting the kid shortly at Caim's dinner, but it wasn't like they got to know him. Valerie also recalled him being rather quiet and moving like he was in pain and having a cover on his nose.

"If he has the other guy to watch him I wonder why Caim wants us to watch him too?"

The other guy. That was Silvain, the one that actually wanted to come see the Titanic display. Much like Bastien, much like Eeyore, Silvain had a hobby of similar mindsets. Silvain was a self professed tragedy collector. He would tell almost anyone he met he collected tragedies if they asked him what his hobbies were. The Titanic was one of his favorites. So of course when Caim mentioned his dear friends the Laveaus going Silvain suddenly needed to go too. This caused a whole ruckus in which Caim found himself simply calling Flotsam right up about it. Watch my people. I got shit to do. Where Flo found himself saying okay then. Cool. Sure thing.

Silvain and Adam are best buds and have been for years. Caim doesn't trust them alone or as far as a ten foot pole. This is why he loves them. Their chaos is grand, but with both their lives so fragile Caim doesn't want their souls getting into another demon's hands when they croak, not for a second. So this overprotectiveness has to do with their soul contracts, and one lack thereof. Flotsam doesn't understand any of this, but what he does know is they feel they owe that demon a big debt for helping them with the gender change and having kids, so a little babysitting for a day for the guy's chimera kid and his pale friend with the red eyes while they're at a museum doesn't seem like such a big favor to him. What's a little extra company?

The two were conversing outside the museum waiting for Laveaus as instructed when Flotsam caught the sight of them. They were both so different. If they hadn't come from Nola their appearance might have given them a double take.

While Adam was working the kink out of his shoulder Silvain approached. He handed Flotsam a letter with Caim's seal in wax.

Flotsam glanced over at Thomas and decided they should open it before going further in case it was instructions for the day. He broke the seal and leaned so Thomas could read it at the same time as him.

"Dear Laveaus,

Thank you for taking care of my family today. I'm counting on you to see their bodies get back to me. If for any reason they should perish in your presence pray instantly to alert me. Do not hesitate. Hesitation is bad.

Silvain knows Adam's medication schedule. If for any reason something happens to his pack with his supplies due to damage or human or supernatural interreference, pray. This is the fastest way to alert me of any emergency.

If for any reason Silvain perishes without Adam I've attached his medication schedule in case you have to continue without him.

Flotsam's lip drew down and had a hard time not laughing, but he held it in. "Fun." His eyes shifted over to Thomas passed his kids again. "So, who's up for Celine Dion cheesiness all over true remnants of historical tragedy?"

Two of the newbie hands went flying up like me, me, me. Then little baby hands were waving around. Maybe it was a coincidence and weren't really doing it for that, but Flotsam decided they were.

Drakengard Self-Insert

2 - when in canon does your self insert come in? do you have a scene in mind for your entrance?

Kaden isn't introduced until Caim and the party get close to the Forest of the Seal. Kaden was in the midst of actually…getting married to an elven man although Kaden didn't really want to marry them. The elven man didn't want to marry Kaden either but there was a lot of chaos and blood-consuming every aspect of the land and these days happiness was hard to come by. (Self insert did the whole Yuna marry Seymour for a moment of happiness bit) except it didn't get that far. Before Kaden could even get down the aisle they bolted but they strayed too far and the imperials catch them. Safe to say, Kaden would not survive the encounter. Weak and covered in blood they now lock eyes with another man, a man who cannot speak. it was Caim. He tried to assess the wound but they were too dire. Caim's facial features said it all. Kaden was dying. (Caim cannot do anything about it so he basically just leaves them to die in the forest lol. Then of course Calix finds them and the pact is formed.) Kaden doesn't meet Caim again until just after the forest bit and he's shocked to see them, that is until he learns that Calix saved them.

YES! Thanks to the pact with the Drake Calix Kaden has these special abilities: Nature Manipulation: The ability to control and manipulate elements of nature, such as plants, vines, and possibly even the weather. Enhanced Physical Abilities: Increased strength, agility, and endurance, making Kaden more formidable in physical combat. Communication with Nature: The ability to communicate with and understand animals, plants, and other aspects of the natural world. Regeneration: A heightened ability to heal and recover from injuries faster than a normal human could. Environmental Affinity: The ability to blend into and be protected by natural environments, making it easier to hide or evade enemies. Def a side character, I don't ever really like putting my self insert into the shoes of a main character. Kaden is there to support their friends and they are there when needed but most often than not they aren't really a main focus in canon! (Although they are slipping into villain territory if they aren't careful… please see 16 lol)

So they secretly really love "consuming" let's call it that.. lol They don't tell anyone because they can play it off as "having to survive" but they actually have a serious hunger that never really goes away even if they are full. They secretly love the bloodshed it gives me an adrenaline rush like nothing else and eventually someone is going to catch on because it's getting a lot harder for them to control but for now, Kaden is happy to keep it a secret.

6 - does your self insert have any pets?

YES! Kaden has of course the cutest more adorable ball python! His name is Ebenezer Squeezer or Eb for short lmao Kaden also has a doggo named Ghost, she's a German Shepard~

7 - would any other characters (besides your f/o) have a crush on your self insert?

I'm gonna say Josh Birk (and by extension probably Matt) just because in universe Kaden does really enjoy Nyte Blayde they aren't a huge super fan like Matt is but they still like it a little more than the average person. Kaden actually doesn't like Josh or Matt xD maybe as friends but never anything more than that because they think Matt's weird and Josh is too full of himself. lol

12 - how would the fandom view your character?

I like to think they would view Kaden in a positive light. Maybe at the start they aren't very fond of them but over the course of the game fandom warms up to them because they go through a lot of character development. They go from some weak person who cannot fend for themselve to save their life to being able to kick ass and voice whenever things aren't right.

Caim the Puppeteer!

(If you're interested on some info about him just keep reading)

Keeping things short: - Caim is an old overlord that has been missing for around 100 years, he showed up after the last extermination and no one is truly sure why he left. - He was known as the puppet overlord, often controlling the people he made deals with; adding to that, Caim's also very famous for his masks - Caim can be often seen walking around the city with either his minions (which are just little puppet creatures) and making a party out of everything - He's basically just a powerful goofball that's scary smart and loves toys
