Cindy Lauper - The Goonies 'R' Good Enough (Music video)

WWE Hall of Famer Captain Lou Albano reprises his role as the father of 80s pop icon Cindi Lauper in this music video for her song from the Steven Spielberg hit movie The Goonies.

The video starts out reminiscent of a live action version of Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling cartoon with Lauper and her family struggling to pay the bills on their service station when a limousine of heels turn up to repossess the property.

The heels consist of Former WWF champion Iron Shiek, Intercontinental Champion Rowdy Roddy Piper and The Hollywood Fashion Plate "Classy" Freddy Blassie, they are soon followed by Former WWF Women's Champion The Fabulous Moulah driving a truck with former WWF tag team champion Nikolai Volkoff sat on the back milking a fake cow for some reason.

Former AWA women's champion Wendi Richter also features in the video as a flower seller at the service station.

After a brief scuffle outside the family resign themselves to losing their business and start to pack up before Lauper, who herself was pivotal in the Rock 'n' Wrestling movement of the 80s and featured heavily in the build up to the inaugural Wrestlemania, discovers a hidden tunnel and a treasure map resulting in a zany Scooby Doo style chase sequence with the heels tracking her through a series of caves reminiscent of the ones in The Goonies movie.

UK Championship Match.

So it’s been made official at next NXT TakeOver’s PPV We’ll have the WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate defend his championship against The BruiserWeight himself Pete Dunne. Following their final match n the tournament which was both technical and aggressive. The perfect entertainment match and soon we shall have a rematch for the title. Al doe WWE states they have bad blood for each other we have seen on tweeter and the in other news sites, they are actually friends and tag team champions for another promotion in the UK.

This is close to being the real main event of TakeOver instead of probably Roode vs Hideo or Strong.

Quite frankly I can only wait to have the UK Championship show on the Network. The possibilities are infinite for this promotion and I hope to have the announcement for the starting date to be delivered at TakeOver.

Here’s something a bit different.

Kathy Long is a legendary women’s kickboxer who fought throughout the 80s and early 90s. She’s a multi time world champion, whatever that means in the context of kickboxing. If you watched UFC 1, she was doing color commentary that night.  And if you’re wondering what the 55 year old is doing nowadays, she’s still teaching and fighting. She last fought in MMA back in 2015 at the age of like 50. And won.

Bonnie Canino is a former world champion boxer who dabbled in kickboxing and would eventually be the manager of the first Puerto Rican woman to become a world cahmpion boxer in Ada Velez.

According to this interview that Canino did with Boxing Insider, it was common for women to get 12 round kickboxing matches in Vegas? Anyway, go read that interview it’s wild.
