Week 10.8/52: March 6th - March 12th 2023 | Daydream Cafe ☁️
Went to visit the most aesthetic cafe in Calgary after my Sunday morning shift. It was so cute inside and every corner made good photos! Ordered their Thai lime tea and it was yum as well. The drinks came in a super durable reusable bag and a hairtie bow, as well as a paperclip in the shape of a heart. Adorable ❤️

Tentative concept: it's revealed that the cafe is run in the same space that turns into an unaffiliated izakaya-adjacent joint open at night and is perpetually next to empty of customers during the day. Are you breaking into here to sell, like, three cupcakes? Is it magic? I dunno, want a cake pop?

Hey, hey, can anyone suggest some neat ideas to add to my spooky / fall themed Animal Crossing world? I need exterior ideas for little areas outside my house.

"megumi is annoyed with gojo for getting distracted with you and being late for everything because of it, so he makes it his life’s mission to ruin gojo’s chances of dating you..."
fluff, crack
Tumblr media Tumblr media
gojo has a severe issue with constantly following you like a puppy dog wherever you go. after that day he had run into you on a whim at the park, your pretty (e/c) eyes locking with his as you both shared passing glances the moment your shoulders brushed, he was stuck to you. gojo stopped dead in his tracks, calling out to you and asking what your name was. you turned over your shoulder, stuttering to a stop upon realizing that handsome guy had been talking to you. you told him your name, that you attended the university down the block, and he was set.
gojo was sure to secure your number before you parted ways that day, approaching you as interested in friendship rather than someone completely enamored by your beauty and desperate to get to know you more. he would text you every day, from then on, pressing further about your hobbies and inserting himself into your daily routine, which you fortunately did not mind. the two of you end up spending a lot of time together, thoroughly enjoying each other’s presence.
megumi, ten years old, witnesses gojo’s clinginess with you fast because it quickly has an affect on how often gojo fulfills his responsibilities in looking after him. megumi remembers the first time gojo forgot about him because he was distracted by you. he had been meant to purchase and drop of megumi’s weekly groceries, but he ran into you at the supermarket and ended up helping you take your groceries home instead. megumi had to wait three hours for gojo to bring him his next week’s supply of food. things like this continued to happen the longer you to knew each other, but megumi knows it isn’t your fault that gojo is attached to you at the hip and flirts with you shamelessly but won’t muster up the courage to tell you he likes you.
megumi’s last straw is when he is left stranded outside of his elementary school for forty-five minutes because he ran into you “eating at a cafe by yourself and you needed company.” the ten year old watches gojo pull up slowly with you in the passenger’s seat, waving at him apologetically with a kind smile. his blood boils as gojo smiles, shrugging bashfully and saying he lost track of time. megumi decides with a hastiness that he would ruin every chance gojo takes to flirt with you after the twenty one year old suddenly announces that he is driving twenty minutes opposite of his house to drop you off at your dorm.
gojo first senses something is off when you are over at megumi’s house one day after school, looking for snacks in the cabinets. gojo and megumi are sitting at the kitchen island while megumi does his homework and gojo watches you move around with a soft smile on his lips, chin propped in his palm. you turn over your shoulder and ask the two if they have any chips, to which megumi beats gojo to answering: “gojo ate them all. he’s always eating everything in my house. i try to get him to stop, but i guess he just gets too hungry.” the white haired man slowly turns to face megumi as you carry on about your business, eyes wide and a mortified smile on his face. megumi doesn’t look at him, continuing his english homework.
gojo knows he’s being targeted the second time around, when he suggests that you sleep over in his room because it is getting late and megumi advises you not to because he allegedly saw a nonexistent redhead leaving his room last night and is ‘worried about your exposure to lice.’ gojo chases the spikey haired kid around his living room later on after you inevitably go home, threatening to take him back to the zenin clan.
the day megumi outright proposes that you get a boyfriend during a car ride over to your campus, gojo almost loses control of the steering wheel and decides he has to keep you as far away from megumi as possible. megumi gets his wish when gojo begins to pay more attention to the days he’s supposed to pick him up from school and separates his days with you from them accordingly, but megumi doesn’t plan to let this slide so easily. for weeks, he suffered the aftermath of gojo getting distracted by being your shadow, and for weeks gojo would suffer his karma.
when he hears you on the phone with him, megumi barges in the room and loudly asks to talk to you. you, overhearing, welcome the conversation gladly and ask gojo to hand over the phone while he glares animatedly at the boy’s blank face. he has to wait twenty minutes for megumi to finish talking monotonously about his day into the speaker, and by the time gojo gets his phone back, you have to head to a meeting with your classmates. the call ends and gojo ponders over why his kid is praying so intently over his downfall.
and of course there are the days when you ask to come over to see gojo and megumi, and gojo is physically incapable of refusing quality time with you or telling you no in any regard. he practically begs megumi on his knees to behave five minutes before you arrive, to which the fushiguro blatantly ignores. the blue eyed sorcerer is fuming with rage as he sits across from you and megumi, watching as you help him with his science project after him asking for your assistance, a stunning, bubbly grin on your face. gojo’s initial frustrations shift into envy for your attention, and before you know it he’s pouting with his arms crossed in silence.
megumi is satisfied with himself, concluding that gojo is officially fed up and has given up completely on pursuing you. he commends himself mutely for his successes after working so hard, though his actual enjoyment of your tranquil company made the experience more tolerable. he runs off to take a shower when you’re grabbing your belongings, preparing to uber back to your dorm. normally gojo pesters you about letting him drive you home when you’re over, so when he only flashes you a smile and holds the door for you as you walk through, you immediately think something is wrong.
the blue eyed man’s lips press together, eyes blank as he shakes and tells you everything is okay. your eyes slim in suspicion as you look over his face, unconvinced by his horrible lying skills. you ask again and he smiles again, telling you he is fine and to go enjoy the rest of your day without him. you furrow your brows in confusion before realizing that you had been busy with little megumi all day and hardly paid attention to your friend. he’s jealous. you giggle, and find it cute the way his half smile melts and he broods, perplexed by your laughter.
you tease your friend of a few months, telling him that the next time you hang out, you two will spend the day alone. pink rises to gojo’s cheeks. “you still wanna spend time with me?” he asks and you scoff. “yeah, why wouldn’t i?” “i don’t know, i just thought megumi convinced you not to like me…”
you laugh again, the sound ringing like church bells in his ear. you tell him he’s ridiculous for getting worked up over a ten picking on him and puffs his lips and rolls his eyes. you know there is a mutual attraction shared between you and gojo. you’ve liked him since the second he asked for your number, but never said anything because he limited your relationship to what you assumed ws platonic flirting. now, watching him pout over the thought that megumi pushed you away makes you realize that there may be something real to his attachment to you.
a smug smile lifts to gojo’s face and his mood immediately improves. he tells you he’ll pick you up from your math class tomorrow for a ride, just the two of you. you hum in agreement and lean up to your tiptoes, holding the side of his face with your fingers and pressing a kiss to his cheekbone. “it's a date,” you say. you pull away and his expression is dopey, eyes dazed and grin bright.
megumi runs back into the living room at the wrong time. he goes to grab his bookbag from the sofa and return it to his room when he catches a glimpse of the horror, his face scrunching in disgust as you peck gojo’s cheek at the front door. megumi turns grim, mourning over his failed plan. oh well, he tried. he wishes you luck dealing with that freak, and figures that the next time gojo annoys him, he can just save himself half the trouble and log him out of the shared netflix account.
you are halfway out the door, smile making your cheeks ache and heart bursting, when you hear megumi shouting from inside. “wash your mouth when you get home, (y/n)! you don’t know where he’s been!” you hear the front door slam and dramatic, muffled complaining follow as you walk to your uber stifling a laugh.

Pizza Time
            Lots of kids like pizza. Some want only cheese on theirs, while others want as much meat as possible. Some like pineapple while others want only black olives.             No matter the differences, saying “Let’s order pizza,” generally is greeted by Hurrahs and cheers.             Nowadays there are many options in terms of preparation. Do you want thick crust, pan pizza or gluten…

Jason finds comfort in the mundane.
He likes pushing the cart around the supermarket, while you check items off of your list. He likes sneakily throwing in snacks and sweet treats when you’re not paying attention. And he adores when you scold him, in the middle of the market, for not sticking to the list. It always has him biting back a smile.
He finds it endearing, calming almost.
Jason likes holding your hand while you wait in line to order your favourite drinks at the local cafe. He likes the soft smiles you give him and the way you lean your head on his arm. Or the part where you place a quick kiss on his cheek before swaying your intertwined hands.
He adores the feeling because it makes him feel real, more normal.
He likes sitting in the living room with your feet propped up on his thighs. He likes catching up on his readings, while you watch your show. He tries not to smile when you pretend not to stare at him. The face you make when you know you’ve been caught has his heart beating faster.
Jason lives for the quiet moments, the ordinary days. The ones that remind him of his being and bring him a sense of peace.

Something bout' Simon being shy and awakard around you and especially not no.1 fan of coffee and cafes, so ofcourse it fell upon Soap to drag him practically while he sulked and brooded, his frown was glaring through his masked face but that was until you stood up from behind the counter, a smile plastered to your face and the way your eyes crinkled oh, Simon wasn't the one for bells ringing and soft music in the background but in that moment he knew what the chaos was all about because damn, he was such a goner, your smile was the most beautiful thing about you, and the twinkle of your eyes and the flutter of your lashes and the scrunching of your neck and...wait—fuck..you were looking at him—oh no, fuck.
“....Sir, What would like to order ?” you said, tilting your head and was it... Simon wasn't blushing or was he ? It was evident with the way Soap groaned next to him that the question has been repeated.
“Oh, he loves chocolate muffin! And—”Soap clicked his tongue, poking Ghost on his arm and un freezing him from the fucking goddamn awakening, because it surely felt like that, his heart never quite paced as it was now and let alone the heat that crept up his whole face, he wasn't about to say anything about the tug down his navel, such effect you had on him, just by the blaze of your eyes and a sprinkle of your smile.
“ —Cappuccino with the heart on !” for a fact, He didn't like coffee and let alone the heart but Simon realised how nothing mattered as long as it made you smile.
“ Thankyou, Please take a seat.” Your eyes flickered to the big man, only his eyes visible that never left yours.
~~~
“ Was that a pathetic attempt at flirting?” John propped on his elbow, nursing his banana pie, a very eccentric taste of his.
“What ?” Simon made no effort to tear his gaze off you while you catered to another customer.
“ fuck, you are staring ! Stop staring bastard.”
“ Drink your bloody coffee.” Simon reluctantly turned to his smirking cheeky face, John pushed forward the Cappuccino cup with a heart that you had served moments ago, resulting a very awakard Simon who knocked off a plate when his fingers brushed yours. Pathetic, yes.
“ So...you like her ?” John shaked his head in a sloppy way. A smile crossed his face, enough to make him bite his lips, he glanced back at you, happily taking out pineapple pastry.
“That's missus you're talking bout'.”
hopeless - fiyero tigelaar x reader
gender not mentioned, reader is friends with galinda
a/n: jumping on the fiyero bandwagon hehehe. timeline may be a bit off, forgive me. hope you enjoy and thanks for reading! <3
word count: 1132
Tumblr media
You were surprised when Fiyero began caring about his academic progression. It was out of character from what you had come to know of him. You saw a lot of him when he first arrived at Shiz, thanks to Galinda wanting desperately to befriend the Winkie Prince.
Nothing about him impressed you all that much, especially after his awful treatment of those poor books in the library. Sure, he was good-looking and seemed to have the entire student body at his heel, but looks can only get you so far.
You went to the Ozdust that night at Galinda's behest. Fiyero was there, of course, looking far too smug for your liking. He seemed to take an interest in you. But when your indifference was made evident to him, he simply reminded you that his plan to corrupt his fellow students included you.
And from that day on, you could never manage to shake him off.
Everywhere you went, he was there, trying to distract you, following you around or rambling on about something that you couldn't bring yourself to pay attention to. It was bothersome at first, but eventually became a part of your daily routine.
It wasn't until much later, with the approach of midterms, that Fiyero suddenly started begging you for help. He wanted you to help him study. He even called you clever, beautiful, and kind somewhere in the process of his pleading, no doubt trying to flatter you.
He mentioned something about finally having a reason to stay and not wanting to get kicked out of another school. You agreed begrudgingly, mainly because you knew he wouldn't stop asking if you didn't. But also because you couldn't fathom the thought of him going away. Much to your chagrin, the prince had grown on you.
And so, you made plans to meet, deciding on the quad at first. A good decision; you still didn't trust Fiyero being in the library. As the first study session approached, you started growing a little nervous. You hadn't spent time with him in such a manner before. You suspected it was just the 'Fiyero Tigelaar Effect' that so many Shiz students suffered from and reminded yourself it was no big deal.
However, it was definitely a big deal to Galinda. She pranced into your room unannounced the morning before your first meet-up with Fiyero, later prompting your roommate to talk to you about boundaries. Galinda insisted on helping you prepare for your 'date', lending you a pair of over-the-top shoes and attacking your hair with a brush.
Despite the girl's efforts, it made no difference to Fiyero later that afternoon, who just smiled and told you that you'd been 'galinda-fied'.
As the days passed, Fiyero managed to stay consistent with you, only sometimes changing locations based on his heart's desire. The two of you move to the garden, the cafe and even the Oz-forsaken library. At first, you suspected this whole arrangement may have been some ploy for him to 'corrupt' you, but after a few sessions, Fiyero does the unexpected.
He turns out to be completely serious about this. He listens to you, he tries to understand, and he very, very rarely decides to distract you.
You're almost impressed.
That brings you to now, just a few days before midterms start. You and Fiyero are cramming in one last study session.
The two of you are currently situated on the floor of his dorm room. He sits with his back against the the side of his bed as he racks his brain over a linguification paper. You sit facing him, your arm resting on the mattress, propping up your head.
Fiyero furrows his brow and mumbles some words to himself. You should be helping him, you think to yourself, but your attention has been entirely diverted in the last ten minutes. You're not focused on the paper but on Fiyero and his adorable facial expressions instead. To your defence, the two of you have been at this for over an hour.
"Can we take a break?" he speaks up after a while.
You blink, momentarily caught off guard, but you quickly recover. You decide you could do with a breather yourself.
"Yeah, of course," you tell him.
"Thank Oz," he mutters, unceremoniously dumping the paper on the floor.
You watch as it joins the multitude of textbooks and worksheets that are scattered about.
Fiyero slumps against the bed, tilting his head back to rest on the mattress. "This is hopeless. I'm never going to get it."
You turn your attention back to him, smiling reassuringly. "Sure you will. Don't give up now."
"You have too much faith in me," he replies.
"And you have not enough," you tell him.
He lets out an exasperated sigh in response, covering his face with his hands. You watch him as silence falls between the two of you. It's unfair how he makes being distressed look so good.
A few more seconds of silence pass before Fiyero speaks again. "I just thought of something that might help."
"Oh? What would that be?" you ask.
"A little motivation, that's all," he shrugs, sitting up slightly. "If I pass my midterms, will you let me take you out?"
You raise an eyebrow, slightly amused by his idea. "You mean on a date?"
"Of course," Fiyero smiles. "We can go somewhere proper. A nice dinner or something."
"Right, and we'll just conveniently ignore how we're not allowed to go out at night."
His expression becomes mischievous as he leans closer, "Well, you do remember what I told you at the Ozdust all those weeks ago, don't you?"
You hum in response, catching his drift. So maybe this was one big ploy after all.
"Please?" he asks again, his voice softer. "I'll be good. I promise."
You let out a sigh of your own. Yours is of a different kind of exasperation than Fiyero's. After all, how could you ever say no to that face?
"Alright," you agree, "A date, as long as you pass everything."
He beams brightly, your answer pleasing him more than he's letting on. "Yes, great! Thank you. You won't regret it."
You smile in return and decide not to tell him you would still want to go out with him regardless. Perhaps actually having to work for something might do the prince some good.
He's still grinning as he picks up the linguification paper and dutifully resumes reading it. It's a stark difference from his earlier befuddlement, and you're not sure if he's only pretending to understand or if your agreement to his terms was really the push he needed.
Either way, it meant you could go back to your staring. And with nothing left to do but wait, that's precisely what you do.
GOING TO SLEEP WITH A MARAUDER AND YOU'RE IN BED, HES SHIRTLESS AND READER AND HIM JUST TALK AND KISS AND ALL THAT FLUFFY STUFF THANKS LOVELY
this went a little angsty! thanks for requesting :)
cw: mentions of chronic pain, painkiller use, mentions of car crash, brief mention of post-car-crash-trauma, scars
remus lupin x f!reader, 1.5k
Remus is propped against your pillows, the room glowing with the light of the television, when you exit the bathroom. He turns the volume down when he hears the door click shut, turns his head until he’s looking at you with a tired smile. He looks so soft, buried in your nice, clean bed sheets; hair a mop of curls that’s starting to rest on his forehead the longer he avoids going to the hairdresser’s. His eyes bleed with exhaustion from a busy day.
You’d spent the morning in a cafe with Sirius, the afternoon at the park with Harry, and the evening having dinner with Hope and Lyall. It’d been nice, both in company and in weather, but the excessive walking and being on the go has taken it out of Remus. That much is obvious by the way he has a throw cushion tucked under his knee, poking out from under the blanket. He tries to throw the blanket over his leg, tries to hide the obvious admittance of pain.
You slide into bed next to him, a frown on your lips. “You’re in pain?” You ask, pulling the shoddy attempt at a cover up job back until his elevated leg is on full display.
Remus jolts with the blast of cold air, his stomach muscles flexing. The skin of his torso is on full display, the moonlight coming from the window showcasing his skin in a silvery light. There hasn’t been a day since you met Remus where you haven’t found his beauty astonishing. He is truly the most stunning person you’ve ever come across, even if he refuses to believe you when you tell him. The scar on his hip bone juts out from the band of his boxers, followed all the way up by a collection of raised scars that litter his skin like constellations.
Your fingers brush the particularly jagged scar across his rib cage as you lean in to look at Remus’ swollen knee. He huffs, clearly irritated that his plan of hiding the pain has been foiled. His knee is warm to the touch, the skin around it swollen. “I’m always in pain, dove.” Remus replies, flatly.
You hate that it’s true. Your boyfriend has good days and he most certainly has bad days, but he never has days where he’s not in some sort of pain. Remus’ illness has taken a lot from him; his childhood, at times, his social life, his freedom. You think maybe Remus thinks if he lets you know how bad it can truly be, it’ll cost him you, as well. It doesn’t seem to matter how many times you remind your boyfriend that it won’t scare you away, it never seems to stick.
“Okay, tough guy,” You scoff, finding that Remus often responds better to sarcasm and tough love than being babied or fussed over, especially when it gets bad, “fancy getting up to get me a glass of water?”
“Get it yourself, lazy girl.”
You can’t help the startled laugh that falls from your lips, eyes wide as you catch the sly grin on your boyfriend’s face. Remus laughs soon after, leans forward to press a loving kiss to the crown of your head. His own way of saying you know I’m kidding. You do know he’s kidding, so you kiss the underside of his jaw in return.
“Take some pain killers, baby. You know they’ll help, even if only enough to help you fall asleep.”
“Already have.” Remus chirps, pulls you by the shoulders until you’re resting across his chest.
Your boyfriend runs like a furnace at all times, the familiar feeling of warmth mixed with the signature scent of his shower gel has your muscles uncoiling as you relax into him. You’re cautious of putting all of your weight onto him until he shifts, further into the pillow mountain he’s created and pulls you along with him. He breathes deep at the relief he must feel from the new angle, reaches onto his bedside table for the television remote.
“Any requests?” He asks, words mumbled into your hair.
His arms are tight around you, thumbs brushing where they meet in the middle of their waist. You settle in, hook your leg over his good leg. One of his hands slips to the curve of your bum at the opportunity you’ve presented him, a gentle, nonsexual touch, but intimate nonetheless. “Not really. Just whatever you like.” You hum quietly.
He turns the volume back up a smidge on the sitcom you both like. His touch is soft and feather like, a comfort that pulls you fast stead towards sleep. The slow rise and fall of your boyfriend’s chest has your own breaths syncing up, lips turning every now and then to press kisses over his heart.
“Do you ever think about the crash?” You ask, eyes focussed on his raised knee.
Remus doesn’t startle. He might have, at the beginning of your relationship. He’d only told you in bits in pieces, back then, that he’d been in a terrible crash as a boy; the reason for his terrible joint and muscle pain.
You feel him shake his head, lips still firm against your hair. He presses a kiss there, then dips his head until he’s closer to your ear. His voice is quiet, tired, perhaps a little sad when he speaks; “Not as often, now. When I was a teenager, when I was in constant pain because I was growing all the time - yes. I thought about it every day and I thought about how unfair the world was, how unfair my life was.”
“What changed?” You ask, quietly.
He’s silent for a moment, only the sounds of his breathing and the quiet drone of the television can be heard. You can tell he’s thinking it over, a sense of unpleasant nostalgia somewhere in the way he audibly swallows and the slight twitch of his fingers against your skin. Eventually, he sighs, “A lot of things, really.”
"I changed doctors, for a start. They're much more understanding of my condition at the one down the road, much more patient and less skeptical of whether I'm faking it for the free codeine."
You laugh a little at the idea. Half the time, Remus refuses to take pain killers at all. "I like Doctor Frank, he's nice." You tell your boyfriend, who hums in agreement.
"He is," Remus agrees, "And then there was becoming an adult. Hard enough without carrying around so much anger. I was sort of forced to just let it go. Accept that this was my life and I was still capable of so much despite my illness."
You can't help but smile at that. Remus is the gentlest person you know. He's rough around the edges, a sarcastic, smart ass and a mean flirt, but he's gentle, all soft beige cardigans and old library books, gentle touches and even gentler kisses. Your boyfriend has never once dared to raise his voice at you, even in his moments of utter agony. He's kind and has a big heart and you can't imagine fifteen year old Remus, angry and hateful and mad at the world. It wouldn't have suited him.
So, you're proud of how far he's come. Even if he still deals with the trauma of the crash, the hatred he has for the scars it left him with and the pain he lives in. It's less. It's dialled down to one, maybe a two on his bad days. Your Remus looks at the world like a challenge, now. A challenge to overcome, to be the best he can be, to keep fighting. You love him so, so much, and you place a kiss to his heart as the feeling washes over you. Bright and light and floaty.
"And you, dove."
Your lips curl upward at his words, spoken so soft you're not really sure if you were supposed to hear them. Remus pulls you impossibly closer, holds you tighter as he ducks down to your ear, breath fanning across the skin and leaving goosebumps in its wake.
"If there was ever something to live for, something to not be angry about. It's you. The way you love me, your patience, your laugh, your smile. I think you were the universe's apology for that crash." Remus presses a kiss to the side of your neck when he's done and it sends a shiver through you.
There's tears in your eyes. Blinding you until your boyfriend becomes a blurred cheeky grin amidst the blue light of the television. But you're happy. So happy and so in love.
But you can't fight the urge to tell Remus, "Your consolation prize."
His startled laugh is music to your ears, a softness breaking through the storm clouds of your heavy conversation. He tuts a moment later, kisses you for the millionth time, "I prefer God given solace."
You roll your eyes. The man doesn't believe in God, but you'll take the compliment, you decide, as you curl back into him.
"Thanks for opening up. I know it's hard."
You feel his shrug, "Anything for you, dovey."
