things that are not talked about enough in Love and Deepspace

i'm surprised i haven't found something like this for LADS, so decided to document some interesting things I found while playing. i limited myself to Main Story, Kindled Memories, Moments posts, texts, interactions, (or stuff you can proc while playing) and did not include limited time events or the chibi comics.

(i've definitely missed out on many so feel free to reblog and add your own encounters!)

Sylus and Xavier are big eaters

Rafayel gets seasick, despite being a fish

Sylus got lost in a train station once

Rafayel can hear fish scream

Nobody comments when Sylus polishes a gun in public at a cafe

Xavier and MC lived in the same building for 6 months before they find out

Sylus’s heart rate can reach up to 150 bpm, and he wants MC to sync to it

18: Oil, motors and planes

Ok loves, I've decided to try something to stretch myself creatively with this challenge. I'm gonna dribble my drabble and see if I can tie each theme into an actual story that I'll write day by day! We'll see how it goes! Wish me luck!

18: Oil, motors and planes

You walked, hand in hand, to the cafe where you are to meet up with Callum. Austin opens the door for you and places his hand on your back, guiding you  as you walk in. Callum is there, the two hug and  are all smiles. Austin introduces you.

“You must be someone special for Austin to bring you along,” Callum says, shaking your hand. 

“We just used to work together like ten years ago here in New York, and we just happened to run into one another at the farmer’s market,” you smile and shrug. Callum slips Austin a knowing smile. 

You all order and you sit back and listen as the boys talk about what they’ve done recently. Callum talks about how he just  wrapped a film about a 1930’s rowing team. 

“I thought you looked bulked up, I assume you actually rowed?” comments Austin. 

“Yeah, it was brutal,” Callum says, ” You look like you are getting ripped too. What have you been up to?”

“I’m training for these two films coming up back to back. One is a villain and I need to be built and intimidating, the other is about a 60’s bike club.”

“What like motorbikes” Callum asks, his Londoner accent distinct. 

“Yeah, vintage Harleys, Choppers. Like motor oil under your nails kinda stuff,” Austin says enthusiastically, “I’m out riding all the time in L.A. with a guy. Open road and a sense of freedom and the outdoors. It's a total adrenaline rush.

“A little different than bomber training then,” laughs Callum. 

“Bomber training?” you ask as Austin nods.

“Yeah for our WWII series we filmed, we had to learn how to fly B-17s all shoved into a cockpit for hours,” Callum explains. 

“Like for real? You flew them? Are there many left?” you ask, intrigued.

“There was I think one or two on set that could still fly. But no we didn’t actually fly them,” Austin explains, “though I felt like I could by the time we were done.” 

They go on to explain the volume with its gimbal-mounted cockpit and surround screens. 

They talk about their time together in London. Sunday dinners with someone named Ruthie. “She was like our mom over there,” Austin says.

“Yeah and you earned all those brownie points by showing up early to help her cook,”  replies Callum. 

“Hey, I like to cook and she taught me a lot,” Austin smiles, “she still texts me almost every day.”

“Do you actually text her back?” Callum teases as Austin looks down sheepishly.

i've been playing a little over two weeks now and just finished chapter 8! i have so much to discuss

(i'm at affection 37 with zayne and 36 with xavier and rafayel)

1. zayne my beloved...he is my dream husband. childhood friend, cardiac surgeon, SARCASTIC DRY HUMOUR KING. kicks my ass at advanced kitty cards every round without a doubt.

- husband material: 11/10 (he could provide a comfortable life. he can cook and clean and likes to read and IS A NATURAL CARETAKER I LOVE HIM)

- mysteriousness: 5/10 (i do want to know about his secret research product in the arctic that's supposed to be connected to the myth storylines? AND WHAT WAS HE TREATING GRANNY FOR THAT HE DIDNT TELL US ABOUT? but otherwise i question who he is and what his intentions are the least)

2. xavier my sweet baby angel cake. been in love with him since his first appearance. seems like he'd be soft but hangs out in bars and wears leather jackets and IS SO FLIRTY??? WHY ARE WE ROLEPLAYING DESTINY CAFE?

- husband material: 9.5/10 (would kill for you without hesitation. absolutely devoted to you. loses .5 bcs alas he cannot cook (well) and is the beige flag husband who tells you the tea but cannot deliver the details bcs he did not ask. he was too sleepy.

- mysteriousness: 9/10 why is he here in this timeline why is he looking for a specific protocore why did his pal jeremiah almost say that is was nice to see us again?? how does he know us what is the connection and why is he helping us specifically despite the nonintervention protocol??? why does he ghost so often but is obviously keeping an eye on us??? after chapter 8 i just have so many questions

3. rafayel admittedly i did not care for him in the start. but during his nightly stroll story and especially during chapter 7 he grew on me. i see the marius in him now and that makes me love him!! he is so dramatic and funny and the interactions with him are always entertaining

husband material: 9.5/10 he's charming as fuck i'll admit! and he's rich and artsy and fights like a feral man. so much sexual tension. loses .5 bcs he is very secretive and every favour needs to be returned so far so hmmm....sus

mysteriousness: 10/10 LISTEN I KNOW THAT THE PLAN WAS FOR US TO BE BAIT BUT ??? WHAT DID HE DO??? IS HE SURE ITS GONNA WORK?? WHAT DID HE WANT AND GET IN EXCHANGE?????? IS HE LURING XAVIER (he is lumiere right?) TO THEM??? IM ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT AWAITING CHAPTER 9 ALSO HE IS A MERMAID???

BABETTE DUST is thirty-four years old. She is an employee at The Enchanted Rose Café. She is the incarnation of Babette from the Disney film Beauty and the Beast.

ABOUT BABETTE

Originally hailing from France, Babette lived a fast paced lifestyle and decided that it was time to move for a fresh start and in hopes of finding a town that she can settle in for the rest of her years. She found Redwood Hollow and enjoyed the atmosphere. Babette found a job at the Enchanted Rose Café and it was there that she met some of her nearest and dearest as well as finding it a good way to get her bearings of who else lived in the town. She’s a social butterfly who thrives in lively environments. She enjoys offering her fashion tips and sharing all the gossip with her friends and is happy to have found people that she fits in with. Babette is independent but she is a romantic at heart. She and Victor Lumiere have an on and off relationship and she finds herself feeling jealous whenever someone gets close to him – particularly women. As much as she’s a cheerful and friendly, Babette does have her moments where she can be vain and a gossip. She’s trying to smooth out that habit but it’s definitely a work in progress.

CONNECTIONS

Victor Lumiere - Babette’s on-and-off boyfriend. She used to enjoy the drama of their relationship, and although she does feel deeply for him she is growing tired of the whiplash of their relationship. She knows there’s no one else for her but they know each other so well they now what buttons to press to annoy one another and they’re both petty enough to keep pressing them. The Enchanted Rose Cafe Employees - Babette does care about her fellow coworkers, she sees them as her little family. She would do anything for them and does whatever she can to offer any help to them. She does her best to offer comfort, though she knows she could be better at it.
