I'm pretty sure everyone knows Games workshop publishes Omnibus editions that are collages of multiple books (three in total I believe) and a short story or two as a treat—all in one fat book
I have the Minka Lesk: The last whiteshield that's an omnibus of two short stories and three books of the Canadian series by Justin D Hill.
I have almost all the books in the Canadian series except for shadow of the eighth. And the nearest Warhammer world it's on the other side of the state I'm in that I will practically never see. Barnes and nobles makes it a labyrinth to find any Black Library content so I'm eternally unsatisfied about never finishing the series.
Can't really find an online PDF, they all seem to be taken down because Avenging Son isn't available in PDF form anymore as well as other BL books.
So yeah, I'm never finishing the series.

Warhammer 40k & Age of Sigmar – Trans Pride series !
My other big pride project, with the pride marine series ! The goal here is to paint one representative for each of the Warhammer40k and Age of Sigmar universes faction using the Trans Pride flag color scheme.
I’ve already done 11 factions (12 to be exact, the Ork I finished lately isn’t on the group picture yet).
Pictured above, from left to right :
Banshee (Nightaunt – AOS)
Horrmagaunt (Tyranids – W40k)
Spiritseer (Eldar – W40k)
Drone (Tau – W40k)
Cadian Castellan (Astra Militarum – W40k)
Reiver Space Marine (Adeptus Astartes – W40k)
Royal Warden (Necron – W40k)
Plague Marine (Death Guard – W40k)
Palatine (Adepta Sororita – W40k
Skitarii Marshall (Adeptus Mechanicus – W40k)
Xandria Azurebolt (Stormcast – AOS)
And a Warboss in Mega Armour I will post here later, probably.
Project Origins
For those who are wondering why I started this project, it’s pretty simple.
Everything started with a single model (obviously), the Horrmagaunt. I was trying to find an interesting gift idea for a close friend and, remembering that friend love the Tyrannids, I thought of painting them a little bugger. Since I wanted that gift to be even more personal, I decided to use colors that would be really meaningful to them, the trans pride flag colors. It was a first, since, up until that moment, I almost exclusively painted classic schemes (imperial Fists, blood angels, salamanders, etc...).
Here was the result :
As you can see, my goal when translating flag colors on a mini isn’t to reproduce the flag 1 for 1, but to evoke it as naturally and logically as possible.
To be perfectly honest, when I started that little gift, I wasn’t entirely convinced the result would be all that great. After all, it was first and foremost more about the meaning behind the colors than anything else. But oooooooh boy was I wrong because, as the kids says, « that shit slaps yo » or something. I don’t know, I’m not a kid anymore !!
But one thing was certain, I fell in love with that scheme and couldn’t wait painting it again.
So, that’s what I did, that time with a Space Marine seeing those are my personal favorites. And once again, I was really pleased with the end result :
Also look at them, being best friend forever, woooooh !
You can easily guess what’s next. I simply had to try that scheme on basically everything, so I started the project of doing it on every faction !
Hell, I had so much fun painting such an unusual scheme, and having to find ways to integrate it logically on a mini, that it's the reason I started another project in parallel, the pride marine one, to try and see if the other pride flag schemes would work as well as the trans pride flag (guess what : not a single one of the scheme I tried disappointed me, even if I have favorites).
Anyway, if you want to try that scheme on your minis and need some inspiration / guidance, here is the recipe I use for the 3 main colors of the flag. Have fun !

So I've known about 40k's influence on Fallout since I started playing Fallout 2 in 1998 but I just realized today that the old Combat Armor from Fallout 1 & 2 is just Imperial Guard armor like the Cadians use.
They did a redesign for 3 and carried it to New Vegas but in 4 it's just modular Imperial Guard armor.
But if you needed further convincing then you should just look at Space Marine 2's environment. If you switched it from Ultramarines and Adeptus Mechanicus to the Brotherhood of Steel from Fallout 1, 2, 3 & New Vegas with their power armor and their scribes that fill the same role the AdMec do with the same color scheme on their robes.
I don't like the redesign that they did for 4. The power armor redesign was neat but the robes should have stayed.
There are other similarities that Fallout drew from also. I really like the older styles for the Brotherhood and I wish they'd make a comeback. I'm not into the tactical style from 4 and the TV series (76 is and isn't canon so it does and doesn't count.)
The brotherhood even follows a Codex, Yes I know a Codex can just be a collection of literary material but they religiously follow the Codex and the Space Marines religiously follow the Codex Astartes.

Ropz explains why CS2 economy isn’t in a ‘good place’ to support MR12 change
With the inclusion of MR12 in the competitive mode, Counter-Strike 2 brought the series back to its origins. It's conceivably the largest update to the game so far, and it's created quite a commotion in the community. Many people question if the game's economy can support it enough, and ropz of FaZe Clan doesn't believe it can. The star player claimed the economy “is definitely not in a good place to support MR12,” in an interview with Dot Esports on Sept. 12 ahead of ESL Pro League Season 18’s Group C. Ropz said pistol rounds will have “a very large impact” on the economy moving forward, and will be even more important to win in CS2. “When you lose a pistol , I think it’s gonna have a tremendous effect on how the game shapes up. And when you lose both of the pistols, it’s like half of the game can be done for you,” said ropz. Additionally, ropz thinks pistol rounds are often even and hard to predict. “In a bigger picture, they’re very 50/50 and it always comes down to people who, you know, have better form or shots way more.” In the eyes of the FaZe star, lowering the impact of pistol rounds would be beneficial for CS2, but another possible change worth looking into is a “hard reset of the loss bonus, starting at $1,400.” As of now, the loss bonus isn’t hard reset, but rather each tier of it is lowered with each round you win until you reach $1,400 or start losing again. With such mechanics in place, teams are allowed many more force buys and can supplement themselves with certain equipment each round. Ropz isn’t the only pro to support changes to the economy following the MR12 change. Heroic’s cadiaN has a similar feeling, telling Dot Esports: “I’m not against MR12, but I think it’s going to require some changes to the economy.” If we’re fortunate enough, Valve will address these fears somehow, and possibly alter the CS2 format. Although looking at how ropz is widely recognized as a Valve developer himself (he didn’t want to admit it when we asked), he should have no trouble passing some of his feedback to the rest of the dev team. I like the action and the animation is fine, but the dialogue is reaaaaaally clunky even for a Warhammer cartoon. I’m convinced the Cadian woman must be some form of hallucination the Sister is undergoing, sorta like a teenage angst Jiminy Cricket. She even goes “whaaaatever!” in one scene. I’ll be shocked if the Cadian turns out to be real, because she will single-handedly be the worst written character in Warhammer. With the Sister of this series being just a step behind her. I did like that the Sister is obviously a piece of shit, an exemplar of how the Imperium is pretty darn evil, what with blaming the dead and loudly proclaiming faith matters more than life, etc.
The star of the show to me is the gay little Deathmark!! Sassy creature! I don’t know if GW is doing this as a one-off like Iron Within was, or if it will have multiple episodes, but I hope it does just so I can see more of that funky Deathmark.
Pariah Nexus. What to say about Pariah Nexus... it's not... good.
I think that if it had been posted to YouTube as the series of short vignettes it was clearly intended to be, as a promotional tie-in to 9th edition, it would be perfectly serviceable - but as a premium product, I don't think it's worth the cost of a Warhammer+ subscription.

Back to the Imperium!
I have finally sorted my Imperial Prussian Guard Cosplay tunic.
I don't think I have posted much if anything on here of my Prussian Imperial Guard. They are my third oldest Guard army, first being my Praetorian Guard.
I avoided the plastic Cadians for there first year or so but then felt I needed a new Guard army but conversion force not Cadians.
I was planning on a full tricorn Malborough force but soon changed my mind just before starting out after watching the TV series Gormenghast.
Next stage is to make the Lasgun.

so I finished Traitor’s Rock, the third Cadian guard novel
overall it’s a good book, both story-wise, and adding new guard lore
...but I am beginning to have a serious problem with the series as a whole
Each book seems to involve the plot requiring another storied guard regiment getting their reputation shredded to make the Cadians look good. It was my beloved Praetorian Guard in the last novel, and in this one the Drookian Fen Guard get utterly wrecked for no good reason

Finishes reading: Traitors Rock
The author finally learned to space paragraphs, so that’s good
Bit too fast paced for a siege novel, but an okay end (for now) to the Cadian series.

Taking a break from my 1/6 scale space marine. I saw the announcement of @green_wolf_studios cadian officer and I can’t wait, in the meantime I thought I’d share a renegade guardsman I’ve been working on for the last couple of months. The chest is a failed print, but it I was using it as a test for scale and a proof of concept, so so long as half of it printed it still worked. Our free thinking guardsman is based off an old @forgeworldofficial illustration by @karlkopinski from the, j think siege of varaks series. Still plenty of work left, got his backpack along with a lasgun, chainaxe, and some skulls I need to print out to do some more scale and dry fit tests. The chest piece itself started as a chest piece for a space marine scout, @nicholaslimart was kinda enough to donate some time to help build it for me. #16scale #16scalefigure #onesixthscale #onesixthcustom #warhammer40k #chaos #heresy #imperialguard #astramilitarum #40k #gamesworkshop #forgeworld #toy #toydesign #design #3dprinting #warhammer #prototyping #industrialdesign #renegadeguard #renegadeguardsmen #guardsman #lasman (at Burbank, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CE-4LG6D5Ml/?igshid=1vg6wcc70dc3o

[Warhammer 40K] Lucina Galadriax - Adeptus Sororitus
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war. I like writing characters who overcome challenges, be it through the circumstances of their birth, brought on by their own actions, or through the machinations of the world around them. The world of 40K is full of challenges, every character in the series has to deal with the very world they live in trying to trick, betray, and destroy them. Lucina is no exception to this rule. Despite all this, members of the elite Adeptus Sororitus are required to stay resolute, pious, and strong, even in the face of mind breaking Chaos. I hope you enjoy the arduous tale of Sister Galadriax, Hospitaller of the Adeptus Sororitus.
The forge world of Selinax was home to a shining example of the Emperors faith, one of the largest Titan manufactorum's in Askellon. Here, under the watchful eyes of the red robed mechanicus, and with the hard work of the Imperiums faithful, huge machines of war were crafted, and housed. The manufactorum network was owned by a noble family, the Galadriax's, who ensured that everything ran smoothly, like the mechanisms of a pocket chrono. Of course for most, growing up on a forge world would be a life of machinery based accidents, and various airborne ailments. However for Lucina, the youngest daughter of the Galadriax family, this was not the case, instead she attended classes, home taught by her family in the day, to day runnings of the manufactorum, how to deal with the tenacious adeptus mechanicus, and all other helpful lessons for the day Lucina came into ownership of the manufactorum. When Lucina wasn't in lessons, she would spend her time helping where possible, normally with a detachment of the Sisters Hospitaler, who made the forge world of Selinax their base of operations. The sisters initially disliked Lucina's inquisitive nature, how she would ask questions as they tried to reattach limbs of workers, or how she thumbed at their notes as they tried to staunch the blood loss of a driver who had paid far too little attention, but they began to warm to her as they discovered the sheer amount of information she retained, answers to pointless questions she had asked months ago, the tiniest note about the most insignificant of processes. Before long Lucina was spending the majority of her time with the Hospitaler's, lending aid where possible, learning more, and more about the ways of the Chirurgeon.
Anthony Galadriax, father to Lucina, and owner of the manufactorums noticed the time she spent with the Hospitaler's. He realised what a fine accolade it would be to have a child of his seed be recognised as a daughter of the Emperor. He spoke with the Hospitalers, and convinced them to take his daughter on as a member of their flock. At first the matron was uneasy, as eager as Lucina was to learn more, it was rare for them to take on members as a favour, Anthony argued that willing hands are far, and few between in this sector, which swayed the matron to his side. She agreed to take the sixteen year old girl with her, as a fresh member of the Sisters Hostpitaler.
It was soon after that Lucina experienced her first taste of warp travel, flown off world to Juno, where she would attend formal training at a large Adeptus Sorotius Monastery. She picked up certain aspects of this lifestyle very quickly, the hustle, and bustle of a hive world was similar to the whirring, and clanging of a forge world, she enjoyed studying as part of a class, and showed exceptional prowess with the art of medicae. However combat training was an unfamiliar, rigid experience that took some getting used to, she was inexperienced when it came to firing a weapon, or taking a direct order, with her inexperience came a contempt for those who ordered her around, and with her contempt, came punishments. Cleaning, prayers of apology, cooking, all the distasteful chores normally left to lower members were used against her. It wasn't until combat training gained a new teacher, a gnarled older woman who wore the armour of the Sisters Of Battle. Lucina no longer got punishments such as cleaning, or cooking, no, now she would be forced in front of the class, and made an example of. Failure to strip, and rebuild her Autogun? Fifty push ups in the dirt of the training ground. Failure to follow drills? Ten minutes of silence, as the class screamed obscenities at her. Muttering back chat under her breath? A personal sparring session with the new instructor. Slowly, but surely, like a rolling press forcing an Adamantium plate into shape, Lucina began to finally accept her combat training.
In three short years, Lucina had changed from a privileged daughter of a manufactorum tycoon, to a loyal, subservient, daughter of the Emperor. A short, humble ceremony was held for her class, before they were near instantly dispatched across the Imperium. On her travels Lucina saw many things, she saw victims of forge world accidents, served briefly aboard a rogue traders vessel as it carried pilgrims to a death world, walked through fields of green grass on feral worlds, each new experience more evidence of the Emperor's glorious work. While she worked, she would sing hymns, and prayers to the Emperor's, her voice a comfort to those she worked on. Her first year of work within the Hospitalers was almost to an end when they were dispatched to the death world of Yanth, where an Imperial Guard force were in desperate need of more medical hands.
Somewhere, in the vast swamped jungles of Yanth, lay a Chaos cult, battling hard against the guardsman who were attempting to exterminate them. The guardsman had come from the planet of Cadia, and fought harder than any guard regiment Lucina had witnessed yet. Being so close to the front lines of combat was a new experience, time stopped for no man out here, Lucina had taken to leaving the safety off on her weapon for the amount of times an hour she would have to pick it up and lend a fighting hand, be it during a mug of recaff, receiving a medical shipment, cleaning a weapon, or wrists deep in a man's intestines, every Guard, Hospitaler, and body on the front lines had to be prepared for combat. It was after one of these firefights, Lucina was put in charge of the care of a young officer, he'd received a nasty stab wound which had gone unreported for far too long. As Lucina worked on the officer, they talked, she was glad for the company of someone of a similar age to her, they talked about where they had come from, where they had traveled, what they had seen, in truth she began to grow quite close to the officer.
He lay under her care for a number of weeks, try as she might, she couldn't get his wound to stay closed, bandages became sodden with blood, sutures popped out of their position, and even attempting to graft the skin proved ineffectual. Had Lucina not been so enamored in the officer, she would have seen the clear evidence of chaos taint about the officer's wounds. Lucina kept trying to treat the man, almost happy for the excuse to keep him in her treatment. A full moon was casting ethereal shadows across the fortifications as Lucina did her rounds, she had many patients to tend to, but one was not in his bed... The officer had gone missing... Searching around the camp she found him heading towards the command tent. Lucina stopped him, mouth open to ask what he was doing over here, that's when she saw the chain blade in his hands, scoring deep scars into his flesh, his body now a tapestry of Chaos runes, and sigils. Lucina went to cry out a warning, but her cry was caught, as the Officer plunged the chainblade into her throat, the teeth of the blade whirring, and biting, she could feel the noise of the teeth bouncing off the top of her spinal column resonating into her brain, her throat filled with crimson, and the acrid taste of oil, and exhaust fumes poured up from the base of her tongue. Summoning every ounce of focus she could spare, she pushed the acidic panic away, clutching him firmly she braced, and drew her side arm, firing three times into the stomach of the Officer, causing him to stumble backwards, something tearing off in Lucina's hands as he stumbled, though she was more preoccupied with the blade now shuddering softly in her throat. Fortunately, Cadians never treat gunfire as something minor, and before Lucina even had the time to fall backwards, her, and the officer were surrounded by soldiers. The Officer hissed a threat, but before he could finish, he was drowned out by the deafening cracks of lasfire.
Lucina was sad, the smoke from the battlefield had obscured her vision of the stars...she had wondered if she would be able to see holy Tera from here. She could feel people around her, she tried to give them instructions on how to remove the blade from her throat without any further damage, but despite moving her mouth, she heard no words come out. As she processed this new information, a rather forward guardsman tried to help her, with a swift tug, he pulled the vibrating chainblade from her throat, tearing flesh, and sending a spout of blood over her, he apologised to her, before yelling for a Hospitaler. Lucina's mouth moved wordlessly as she lay on the damp earth, she raised her hand and found what she had torn off the Officer, a rather ornate silver pocket chrono, it had cracked, and stopped in the fall. She tightened her grip on it as she felt the ice cold glare of death upon her and promptly passed out.
It would seem the Emperor was smiling upon her that night, as it was not her fate to die, through no small miracle, the Hospitalers were able to aid Lucina, and close the wound on her throat. For three days she lay on a gurney, listening to the combat around her, sh
e was visited by one of the Cadian sergeants, who commended her bravery, telling her if she hadn't have stopped the tainted officer, he would have had a free shot at the command tent. The praise was bitter to Lucina, she knew that had she been paying attention, rather than romanticising the officer, she would have spotted the signs earlier. Her throat ached, a constant pain every time she moved her head, or swallowed, when she tried to talk, it felt like she was trying to wretch sandpaper.
The campaign on Yanth lasted another month, with Lucina being active for only the last week of that, she was finally up, and moving again, though she was still plagued by the gnawing, burning in her throat, everybody told her she was lucky to be alive, and that she must be on of the Emperor's favorite daughters to afford such luck. In truth she simply wanted to forget about it, she felt like she had failed her role as a daughter of the Emperor. Wordlessly, Lucina continued her tasks, until Yanth was declared 'safe' as she, with the rest of the Hospitalers were moved offworld, back to the monastery on Juno. Lucina became a shell of herself, no longer did such joy emanate from her, and the delicate hymns of praise that used to pour from her mouth were now gone, a Deacon offered to provide payment for surgery to install a bionic voice box, but she craved penance and refused, she had failed the Golden Throne, and had her voice taken as punishment.
The remainder of the year would not be quiet, while she had been away, a hive gang known as the "Sons" had grown rather active, even going as far as managing to secure a series of armoured vehicles, which they were using to harass, and attack their rivals catching a detachment of the Arbites in between, some said they wanted more territory, others said they simply wanted to spread some anarchy. The local PDF had got involved and were in way over their heads, calling for aid from the Hospitalers to cover the vast amount of wounded being caught in the crossfire. If trying to perform complex medicae on the frontline's of Yanth had seemed difficult, performing in the no man’s land between the two gangs was even worse, nothing was permanent, for fear of coming under fire the Hospitalers had to carry everything with them, and were ordered to perform at double time, each new street was a fresh hell. The Sons had been shelling their rivals for four days now, and all the time been executing anyone who looked official in the crossfire, be they PDF, Arbites, or even Hospitalers. Once again Lucina got used to keeping her weapon ready at all times.
Now communicating via an Imperial taught sign language, Lucina found new challenges in trying to talk to her colleagues, often having to resort to crude gestures when bullets whizzed overhead. It was on the evening of the fourth day, when Lucina, three Hospitalers, and a small detachment of PDF were caught within an old school, pinned down by fire, with wounded around them, they called for backup, where they were told rather callously, that there were far more important lives to be saving, and that their safety was their own. They had no chance to hunker down, and try and push away the advancing tide of gangers. Slowly, both sides began sustaining casualties, and it was beginning to look like a stalemate until the plasteel sides of an armoured vehicle rolled into view, it was mounted with two heavy stubbers, and a port for launching grenades. The first grenade hit hard, dismantling their cover, and sending a few of the PDF scattering, the second hit even harder, exploding above them, showering them with shrapnel, which sliced through the Hospitalers around Lucina. There was one saving grace, one of the PDFs was armed with a melta gun, a device tailored to take out vehicles like this, Emperor only knows where he got it. Lucina moved up, pointing to the Melta, then the armoured vehicle, after a short back and forth, the PDF understood her, shaking his head and protesting, citing it would be suicide to go out there. Lucina tried a new tactic, she pointed at the Melta, then to herself, gesturing a swap of weapons. Once again the PDF soldier refused, telling her it was his, and to find her own weapon, at the end of her wick, she raised her autogun, and shot him, turning to the other soldiers, as if to ask 'anyone else?', with no further complaints, she hefted the Melta into her arms.
It was a short sprint to the vehicle, but the issue wasn't the distance, it was the open ground leaving no safety from the bullets, the two heavy stubbers mounted atop the vehicle were also an issue. Lucina took a breath and gestured to the soldiers around her, hoping for covering fire. Waiting for a the two heavy stubbers to begin reloading, she darted out from the torn up rubble around her, already feeling the heat of a dozen weapons trained on her, thankfully, the PDF, inspired by her actions, and maybe a little fearful of another commissar-esk friendly fire incident opened up. Lucina counted the steps left, closer, and closer she drew to the vehicle, the heavy stubbers now finished reloading opened up, bullets striking the floor around her, every fiber of her being screamed at her to fire now, but she knew the closer she could get, the more effective her shot would be. Five meters is where she pulled the trigger, a stream of scalding hot gas, she saw the stream collide with the side of the vehicle, turning the plasteel to liquid before her very eyes, as the steam cleared she saw the inside of the vehicle, and the righteous carnage she had unfolded, undeterred by the pleading of the scalded gangers inside, she pulled the trigger again, filling the vehicle with spray, melting all souls inside. Something within the vehicle caught, triggering an explosion that lifted her off her feet. As she went to regain herself, she felt the sharp punch of autogun rounds hitting her left side, she fell again, stranded in no man's land. Once again, death would not find Lucina here. Instead of gunfire, she heard deep phwooshes, and felt the air around her grow very hot, she saw streams of fire, and heard the screams of gangers, set alight in their holes, Lucina felt a hand grasp her by the scruff of her neck, and drag her backwards to safety.
Once back on safe ground, she got a chance to see her rescuers, the shadowed black, and deep crimson of the Adeptus Sorortius's own Sisters of Battle. The sight was so beautiful Lucina could have wept, medics were ordered and once again, she found herself being taken away from battle by stretcher. The coming days were not so alien for Lucina, a flurry of Hospitalers, providing her with the medical attention necessary, it would seem she caught more bullets than first thought, a total of seven bullets were removed from her left side over the course of the next week. While in the care of her fellow Hospitalers, Lucina received a visitor, her instructor from the Monastery, and saviour on the battlefield, the grizzled Sororitas, Lady Agatha Harmonas. Lady Agatha praised Lucina for her actions, her quick thinking, and her determination to stick to her mission. She offered Lucina an opportunity, leave the Hospitalers behind, and join the selection process for the Sisters Of Battle. Given time to think on this opportunity, Lucina pushed herself to recover. In a short month she was given a clean bill of health, and sought out Lady Agatha for entry to the Sisters Of Battle.
Selection was nothing but an arduous slog, the Sisters Of Battle prided themselves on being some of the very best the Emperor had to offer, Lucina spent her Mornings, Evenings, and Nights training, testing, and learning, she found comfort in shock weaponry like the Melta gun, and used her prior experience in the Hospitalers to put herself ahead of the other applicants. Her hardest challenge was communicating with other applicants during mock missions, as the Imperial standard sign language she used, was not common knowledge, she compromised by using her knowledge of the Tactica Imperialis to communicate via militaristic hand signals. As the selection process drew towards its end, the numbers of applicants dropped from Fifty, to Eight, Lucina spent her final week proving herself, she performed excellently in mock drills during the day, and spent entire nights awake in prayer to the Emperor. When the time came, only her and two other applicants were chosen to go forward onto the blessed position.
Lucina could have silently wept during the proceedings to her enrolment as a Sister Of Battle, she felt a sense of belonging, as if the Emperor had given her the uncanny luck she had experienced to get to this position, when she was measured for the holy red, and black power armour, a sense of duty crashed over her, last time she had let her personal feelings get ahead of her, she had her voice taken as penance, she reminded herself that a Sister Of Battle had a duty to the Emperor, and his people. Lucina never forgot the lessons that her time in the Hospitalers had taught her, she never forgot how actions, no matter how small could have cataclysmic consequences, and she told herself, that while she still drew breath, she would make every action she took, a praise unto the Emperor himself.

My Astartes Boys, part 1
I decided not to make another blog for them but I am still going to post about them (under the threat of reverse centaur by @delightfullyodd). Seems like one post won’t be enough for all of them, so it’s going to be a series. Runmaru Avatar Maker is not really good for male characters but let’s pretend these portraits are a bit more masculine.
Warning
Unlike my girls, these characters serve mostly for petting my kinks. I don't plan to write fanfiction with them (because I suck at writing 18+ smut) and I use them for "mental cinema". All of these boys fall under settings very similar to Harem!AU by @adepta-astarte (this AU pets my kinks greatly, thank you for writing it!). There are a lot of my own headcanons in these boys’ stories, some of them probably contradict the accepted canon of the Chapters and Legions, but well, it’s my mental cinema, I’m the director, and I want it to be this way.
Here we go.
40K Characters
Ángel Soltera
Scout of the Crimson Fists Chapter. Initially, I created him for Star Child!AU, and he plays a significant role in Izar's story, but he also appears in other settings.
His biography could provide a basis for a telenovela.
He is a son of Angelica Soltera, a noblewoman from Rynn’s World. She wasn’t particularly rich but her family was amongst those few that had lived on Rynn’s World since its colonisation, and thus she enjoyed privileges afforded to women of the upper class (if you didn’t notice, Rynn’s World has a very subtle form of matriarchate).
Several years prior to the Invasion of Rynn’s World, Ángel’s mother went on a pilgrimage to a distant shrine world. This took her almost year to conduct it and in her long way back aboard the ship she travelled on she had met Hugo Stenmar, a handsome Imperial Guard officer, who was returning from some sort of diplomatic mission. He was a Cadian Major General and he was the head of one of Cadian noble houses, and he was a widower.
Both of them being nobles from planets that were closely tied to the protection of the Imperium, they found much common ground. They started having an affair, but it turned out, however, that they expected different things from it. In Hugo Angelica saw her future husband; for Hugo, she was just a pleasant company to spend time during long warp jumps. Probably they both were at fault, there was a lot of miscommunication and cultural differences that resulted in this break-up. As the last resort, Angelica told Hugo that she is pregnant with his child (which was the truth). Hugo, in a fit of Cadian arrogance, answered that he already has three excellent sons and has no need in another one, a half-blood at that. It was an ugly scene; the presence of Hugo’s aide didn’t help. That, however, would play important role in future.
Thankfully, Angelica wasn’t devastated by this turn of events, she was more like upset that her plan for marriage failed. She didn’t have to worry about facing any social condemnation upon returning to Rynn’s World. Local customs were such that a woman, especially from a noble family, decided for herself when and how to have a child. It also didn’t matter if said child was born out of wedlock, especially if the woman was the head of her family. So, Angelica returned home and gave birth to a healthy baby boy, and had lived happily until the Invasion of Rynn’s World.
Ángel was five years old when the Invasion happened. He and his mother managed to make it to New Rynn City and survive the war. Their estate suffered greatly, though, and Angelica had to face a harsh perspective to become very, very poor. The help arrived from where she didn’t expect at all. Crimson Fists Chapter, suffering heavy losses in men and materiel, had to add Rynn’s World population to their sources of new recruits (before the Invasion Crimson Fists choose to recruit mostly from death worlds of Loki Sector). Ángel was gene-tested and approved for joining aspirants. Since he was the only son of his mother, Angelica was compensated for the loss of her heir. This money allowed her to reconstruct her estate, and she managed to get a contract from the Chapter for agricultural goods her estate provided. Ángel was delighted at how things turned, joining Crimson Fists was his dearest wish since he learned about them. He was scheduled to be sent to the Chapter upon reaching the age of seven years but it didn’t happen due to Major General Hugo Stenmar’s interference.
It seemed that the fate decided to punish Major General for spurning his unborn child. As any Cadian, Hugo’s only hope for remaining in history was his living progeny, his sons, who supposed to continue his bloodline and keep his deeds remembered. However, when he finally arrived at Cadian Sector, he learned that his sons were killed in action in campaigns their regiments were part of in other sectors. None of them was married and had any children. This news got Hugo down; his staff even suspected that Major General went insane from grief. Probably they were right because in his desperation to continue his bloodline, Hugo started an investigation into the woman he met during his travel. Discovering that she indeed has a child and this child is a boy, he tried to contact Angelica and convince her to give him Ángel, promising to marry her and give her proper status as his consort according to Cadian customs. Because a half-blood son was still better than no son. Angelica flat out refused his proposal. She was still mad at him, and moreover, Ángel was already out of her custody though he still lived with her, waiting for his seventh birthday. In her anger, Angelica didn’t tell Hugo anything about Crimson Fists and just stopped to answer his messages altogether. This disregard pushed Hugo to go to extremes. He sent a team of Kasrkins to kidnap Ángel, which they did while Angelica was away from Rynn’s World for her estate business.
Ángel hated it. He fought back like a little devil but what could he do against Kasrkins? Still, they had to keep him sedated for the most part of travel to Cadia because otherwise, he was wreaking havoc in all his child might. When he was finally delivered to his father, Ángel made an ugly scene, screaming, cursing with words a child from a good family doesn’t suppose to know, demanding to be returned to his home because he is to be joined Crimson Fists. Naturally, Hugo didn’t believe a word. He ordered Ángel to be disciplined (i.e. lashed) and sent him away to one of the training worlds in Cadian Sector to be enrolled in Whiteshields.
Ángel didn’t stop fighting, though he had to change his methods. Realising that rebelling would only result in him being thrown to the brig, he tried to behave like expected from a Whiteshield. The training camp he ended at didn’t have significant fortifications, and finally, Ángel drew an escape plan. The only thing he needed for success was a warp capable ship that was going out of Cadian Sector. Soon he had his opportunity: a cutter landed near the training camp and from the gossip, Ángel discovered that it was from a ship that delivered some goods on its way to Loki Sector. This was the chance he was waiting for. After fall of the night, Ángel sneaked out of the camp and into the cutter. He wasn’t noticed when he moved from the cutter to the ship, but still he was discovered by the crew when the ship was preparing to translate to Immaterium at the system’s Mandeville point.
To his luck, the ship’s owner was present, and it was Izar. She believed Ángel’s story right away because her father had been constructing new fortress-monastery for Crimson Fists and she was helping him (and that’s why she happened to arrive at this system, delivering some goods in exchange of the materials her father needed) and she knew about the situation with the lost aspirant. She ordered her captain to change course and fly right to Rynn’s World.
After arriving home, she and Ángel went right to the Crimson Fists headquarter. Ángel was already past recruitment age, he was almost ten, but he begged Chapter Master Kantor to be allowed to join the trials. Izar added her testimony, describing the hardships one had to face in order to run away from one of Cadian training camps. Pedro Kantor was hesitating for a while, the whole story promised more problems in future, but Izar convinced him that the law was on their side. Ángel was allowed to take trials and successfully passed them. He had finally become Crimson Fists Scout.
Major General Hugo Stenmar had soon learned that his son disappeared from the training camp. He made every possible effort to prevent marking this incident as desertion, for this would bring indelible disgrace upon his bloodline name. He insisted it was a kidnapping and was allowed to investigate it. He went right to Rynn’s World, rightly believing this was where that ship with a home port of Loki Sector went. There he discovered that his son’s words about being recruited to Crimson Fists Chapter were true after all but still filed a lawsuit against Angelica and Crimson Fists Chapter, demanding to return Ángel to him. It seemed as Lord Kantor’s concerns were not unfounded but evidence that was given by Major General’s aide made the court to decide in favour of Rynnites.
Hugo Stenmar was furious. He had enough influence in Imperial Guard to kick his aide out of Guard to a penal regiment for this. This, however, hadn’t returned Ángel to him and he had to leave Rynn’s World empty-handed. His former aide was later taken by Izar to her ex-penal rag-tag regiment as her own aide, which position he had kept even after Izar returned back to life as Imperial Princess after fulfilling her mission in returning the Emperor of Mankind. Ángel had continued his successful career in Crimson Fists Chapter.
In the next part: Ran Kurikara.

Heroic’s TeSeS defends cadiaN after CS:GO trash-talk controversy: ‘I think it’s great’
Some CS:GO players have lately criticised CadiaN for trash-talking excessively at IEM Cologne 2023. TeSeS defended his in-game commander in response to the criticism after Heroic earned a spot in the Lanxess Arena by making the playoffs. TeSeS addressed cadiaN’s trash-talking in an interview with HLTV on July 31. The 22-year-old believes such behavior is a part of every sport and its point is to get into enemy heads to put yourself in an advantage. “I think it’s great, it’s a part of every sport and every situation. What Casper said in that game was nothing compared to other athletes. We’ll do everything to get a small percentage over our opponent,” TeSeS claimed. The topic was highlighted on Saturday, July 29, when Heroic beat TheMongolz with a 2-1 score in their opening game of IEM Cologne 2023. During the series, cadiaN has been spotted screaming things like “you fucking noobs” against the Asian team after winning a round. https://twitter.com/ESLCS/status/1685370036821925888 Some people thought the Danish IGL took it too far, even though cadiaN is known for loud behavior every game. Seeing him screaming and taunting opponents is nothing out of the ordinary for those who follow competitive CS:GO. The clip made it to Reddit and other social media, where many are surprised some are getting so frustrated over this trash talk. CadiaN also stood his ground, sarcastically apologizing for his behavior on July 30. https://twitter.com/caspercadiaN/status/1685415036792053760 On top of that, cadiaN isn’t the only player at IEM Cologne 2023 to taunt enemy players—though he’s arguably the loudest one. Still, individuals like dev1ce have also been trying to get into opponents’ heads when they get the chance. Heroic will play ENCE on Aug. 1 in the group A upper bracket final, with the winners securing a spot directly in the semifinals. Read the full article
