Music in the EAH Universe and who listens to them Part 1.
This is just an excuse to try to make music puns and share music I think the characters would listen to. (Some of these are even canon by the books!) I don't even like a majority of these musicians but I am fully convinced of my choices here. I marked in colours the one that are canonically part of the EAH Universe.
Since Tumblr only allows 100 inline links for a post I have to make different parts.
Part 1 (Alistair, Apple, Ashlynn, Blondie, Briar, Bunny)
Part 2 (Cupid, Cedar, Cerise, Chase, Courtly, Daring)
Part 3 (Darling, Dexter, Duchess, Farrah, Faybelle, Ginger)

4K Ultra HD Review: Basket Case
Unlike most "prestigious" organizations dedicated to the arts (I'm looking at you, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences), the Museum of Modern Art doesn't ignore the existence of genre fare. Nevertheless, there's something surreal about seeing "This film is from the collections of The Museum of Modern Art" at the start of Basket Case, a sleazy exploitation picture shot on 16mm over the course of a year for under $35,000.
The 1982 film follows Duane Bradley (Kevin VanHentenryck), who carries around his formerly-conjoined twin brother, a deformed, fleshy menace named Belial, in a wicker basket. While Duane intends to get revenge on the medical professionals who performed their unwanted separation surgery, Belial indiscriminately kills anyone who opens the basket like a malevolent jack in the box.
It's clear from the start that some sort of creature is contained within the basket, but writer-director Frank Henenlotter (Frankenhooker, Brain Damage) smartly allows the tension to build before revealing Belial in all his glory at the end of the first act. There's no mistaking it for anything but inanimate rubber (save for a primitive stop-motion sequence), but its blood-curdling screams give it life. Special effects artists Kevin Haney and John Caglione Jr. both won Oscars for Best Makeup — for Driving Miss Daisy and Dick Tracy, respectively — less than a decade removed from Basket Case.
MoMA's 4K restoration of Basket Case's original 16mm AB negative reels arrives on 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and original uncompressed PCM mono audio via Arrow Video. Importantly, the restoration presents the film in newfound clarity while preserving the '80s NYC grime inherent to the film. The limited edition set comes with reversible artwork, a double-sided fold-out poster, and a booklet with writing on the film by horror historian Michael Gingold and a Basket Case comic strip by Martin Trafford, all housed in a slipcase featuring artwork by Sara Deck.
While no new special features were produced for the 4K, the plethora of existing materials including cover every conceivable aspect of the film. Henenlotter and VanHentenryck's breathless commentary from Arrow's 2017 Blu-ray doubles as a low-budget film school, from reusing sets to dumpster diving for decor. An archival track from Something Weird's 2001 DVD with Henenlotter, producer Edgar Ievins, actress Beverly Bonner, and Basket Case 2 production assistant Scooter McRae repeats most of the insight, but it's fun to hear their rapport.
Interviews are ported over with VanHentenryck, who discusses his cerebral approach to playing the character; Bonner, who wrote and starred in a play examining where her character might be 30 years after Basket Case; Florence and Maryellen Schultz, Henenlotter's identical twin cousins who play nurses in the film and share his unique sense of humor; and legendary film critic and The Last Drive-In host Joe Bob Briggs, whose campaign to host the film's drive-in premiere saved it from being cut by its distributor.
A joke interview with Henenlotter features the filmmaker portrayed by Albert Cadabra, a sideshow performer who edited Henenlotter's Bad Biology, in the nude. The Latvian Connection explores four crucial members of the Basket Case team of Latvian descent: Ievins, associate producer/effects artist Ugis Nigals, casting director/actress Ilze Balodis, and Belial performer Kika Nigals. What’s in the Basket? is a 78-minute documentary produced by Severin Films in 2012 covering the Basket Case franchise with cast and crew.
Three short films are featured: Basket Case 3½, an 8-minute mockumentary from 2017 in which Henenlotter interviews "Duane Bradley" (VanHentenryck) about the events of Basket Case; Slash of the Knife, Henenlotter's 1976 short film that ultimately lead him to make Basket Case, with optional commentary by Henenlotter and playwright Mike Bencivenga and outtakes; and Belial’s Dream, a 2017 stop-motion animated short by Robert Morgan (who just made his feature debut with Stopmotion), accompanied by its own brief making-of featurette.
Other extras include: the MoMA's 2017 restoration premiere introduction and Q&A with Henenlotter, VanHentenryck, Bonner, the Schultz twins, and Ugis Nigals; The Frisson of Fission, a video essay by film historian Travis Crawford exploring the history of conjoined twins and "freaks" in cinema; a 2011 filming location tour with Henenlotter and rapper R.A. The Rugged Man (who co-wrote Bad Biology) explore the filming locations; outtakes; five image galleries (promotional stills, behind the scenes, ephemera, advertisements, home video releases); three trailers; a TV spot; and two radio spots.
Henenlotter didn't set out to make a cult film — in fact, he didn't think anyone would ever see his feature debut — but that's what he accomplished with Basket Case. Shot on location in New York City, the picture doubles as a time capsule of a seedy version of Times Square that no longer exists; one littered with drug dealers, sex workers, and porno theaters. While the sequels would lean more into the comedy, the original film balanced its camp with well-placed shocks.
Basket Case will be released on 4K Ultra HD on April 30 via Arrow Video.

Willa Yukimura-McDonald, aka Miss (later Mrs.) Weatherly Chanelle: leader of the Guardeners!
Powers: Can control/manipulate weather from drawing the electromagnetic energy from the Earth's surface, bending elements.
Willa is the youngest/adopted daughter of Old McDonald, who had a fascination with asking impossible questions about the weather and the world around her. She later became a weather reporter in Storybrook.
Her name means "will; desire, and protection."
Princess Blossom Twinkletoes, aka Flower Power: second in command of the Guardeners!
Powers: Can manipulate plant life by dancing. She can create any type of plant depending if she focuses hard enough or depends on her emotions.
Blossom is one of twelve flowering daughters of a king and queen from "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" who all came from several types of flower seeds and grew in the couple's garden. She becomes a dance teacher.
Her outfit is heavily based on hippies/disco culture. Her name means "flower-like"
She's very sensitive to very cold and hot temperatures and loud noises, among many others. She has hypersesthesia/sensory processing disorder.
Laurie Mary-Jane Dolittle, also known as Nurse Vetico: member of the Guardeners!
Powers: Can communicate with animals. Using her helmet, she can send messages even further if her team needs backup. She can also heal others, making her the healer/nurse of the team.
Laurie is the younger daughter of Dr. John Lloyd-Dolittle (and aunt of current day Dr. Dolittle. The trait of communicating animals was passed down from many generations. She later becomes a veterinarian.
Though she loves purple and pink, she wears blue in her hero form since blue is a calming color and helps ease those animals who are injured.
Her name means "symbol of victory."
Coral Reef, also known as Zena-Waste: member of the Guardeners!
Powers: Can manipulate water and bend the matter (turning it into ice, turning it into steam, etc). She can also use her Cadabra-Grabbers (her arm braces) to grab tons of trash.
She's the daughter of a Mermaid and a sea monster (current day aunt of the Little Mermaid). She's missing her left leg due to it being caught in a ship's blade (her tail is also affected). She has a hard time swimming and uses floats to support herself.
Her entire outfit is made from reused plastic, bags, papers, and metals.
Her name means "sea growth."
Here are my fan made group of Super Readers, taking place in the late 60s to the 70s! They used the powers of nature to protect the Earth and teach others how they can protect their Earth and be more eco-friendly!

Silly Game Time: Who are some of your favorite alien (non-human *and* extra-terrestrial) characters? And what do you like about them?
They can be from sci-fi or fantasy, from other worlds or dimensions or realms. All that matters is that they're not from Earth and that they're not human in any traditional sense (and, most of all, that you find them interesting).
While I would say things like Silver Spoon, I'm gonna point to my favorite game franchise.
Scratch, Chopper, and Cobra Cadabra from Skylanders. Technically, Cobra could be seen as humanoid because of the arms, but I find the three unique simply because they're three cores from the middle two games that aren't that popular in the community.
"The Luck Of The Claw!"
Scratch is the only one from SWAP Force and as you can see, she's a feathercat. Core Skylander of the Air Element, I like her because of many reasons. One of my favorite things about Skylanders is how unique the designs will get and Scratch sortof goes back to the basic days of Spyro's Adventure, which you're not going to see more in later designs. She also breaks the traditional color coding of the Air element; instead of shades of white and light blue, we're treated to gold, magenta, and green, which is moreso a personal preference than a fun fact.
She's also UNGODLY powerful. There's a bit of a trend where the Cores from SWAP Force are either a complete miss or a direct STAB, and Scratch is a direct stab. Her Ruby Path upgrades her critical hit chance while her Sapphire Path focuses on speed and the final upgrade in that path can even slow enemies. Most importantly, her Soul Gem (found in Fantasm Forest, which is near the tail end of the game) makes her HEAL A BIT WHILE COLLECTING COINS. It's only like 7 HP on max level, but considering they're the thing you collect the most, Scratch is absolutely terrifying.
"Dyno-Mite!"
Chopper is a Core Skylander from the Tech Element from Trap Team and he's a t-rex. A crazy t-rex. A crazy t-rex with a fucking helicopter pack and MISSILES, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I kin this guy. He's pretty decent for a Core Skylander and I love the personality. Most importantly, his first attack (THE MISSILES) are homing and will spin after firing, which makes it so you can just fly around and spam the first attack button, which makes Chopper a decent pick for certain situations like facing a Tech villain during Nightmare Mode.
Fun Fact: Chopper was originally going to be the Tech Giant, however TfB realized that T-rexes are more horizontal than vertical and it would take up most of the portal, so they created Bouncer to replace him. Another fun fact: he can fly by simply double-tapping the jump button.
"Charmed and Ready!"
Cobra Cadabra is a Core Skylander from the Magic Element from Trap Team. He is a cobra with arms (which you can interpret as humanoid but I digress) and is based around snake charmers. While there's nothing too notable about his personality (other than he is mysterious and actually doesn't have the traditional snake lisp), his attacks and his whole design is wonderful. Props to the concept artist for coming up with a snake who's a snake charmer.
His attacks may not be unique, but they're wonderful to me, and while this community won't give him some love, I will. Most notably, his first attack might just be a simple spammable bullet at first. But there is an upgrade called Keep The Beat! which added an extra challenge for extra damage. As you can tell, because Cobra Cadabra is rooted to music, the challenge was to keep with the beat of the background music. If you perfectly time your first attacks with the beat, you get an extra damage boost. Best of all, with another upgrade in the Concerto Cobra Path, the notes can bounce off walls. Trap Team was pretty much the game to try out different unique mechanics besides the Trap Masters and this was VERY unique and interesting. Also, I managed to max him out in 30 minutes after acquiring him, so there's that.

Watching dead end episodes 1-4 live thought jotting down:
What DOES Courtney know about demons cause she was already summoning Temeluchus to try and go home but she doesn't know what the 10th plane is like. She does know about the DWF and about Bathmos
Pugsleys little bark of resolution and his little gallop to run and jump in front of the possession beam and im cryign
Temeluchus is already dead but also in his little backstory monologue he mentions his parents met in the Blood Wars.
Courtney hired them to be security for her bc she feels threatened
Maybe Norma had a tiny crush on Barney at first but totally gets over it by the 2nd episode and they basically become family , kind of just HC
The basement has some cobwebs and cardboard cutouts and electrical candles and they have matching coffin beds.
The first flight of steps in Dead End flattens out
When all the dead end employees died
How does Barney and Pugsley's relationship change as Pugs becomes a person
The gold passes have trackers
Josh started at the same time.
What are the names of the burger flipper boy and the diner-saur hostess/smoothie
Temeluchus is a demon warlock
"Anything but [abra-cadabra]"
Josh is like a casual asshole
Badyah also has a pink scarf and barney has pink sunglasses
Logs has a lot of empathy and is probably the second most anxious person in the park
Courtney has huge purple sunglasses and norma has yellow ones
Norma has issues with physical contact and closeness
Badyah is afraid of hamsters/crawling under her clothes
Pugsley is afraid of thing that could hurt him but he also fears losing control over his own power
Logs is afraid of social anxiety
Josh is afraid of facial deformities
Barney is afraid of being alone of no one being in his side
Courtney is sappy when they come into her fear world and say she's got them now
Patrick is turning 10 or so
Courtney applied to Hoxs Castle 500 years ago
The signs for the audience saying applesauce instead of applause
Barney and Norma and Pugsley known as one of the only teams to technically complete the castlerun, sort of HC for future
There's demon shows and demon commercials and so there must be demon news reporters and art majors?
barney still hasn't called his therapist. where is the therapist
hox is such a pouty high maintence independent he's so funny absolutely bitchless
The Demonic Royal Family has a reputation to be protected
Barney died lmao
Zagan has a phone

Kaleb anon here: what’s Ur favorite pokemon from each gen?
Well, first of all, I should point out that most of my favorite Pokemon are from the first three or four generations, because it was after that point I sort of drifted away from the franchise. XD So with a lot of the newer Pokemon from at least Gen 5 onward, I don't really HAVE any proper favorites, because I don't know them. I can judge based on designs and fanworks I spy, but that's about it. With that said...and in no particular order... Gen 1 = Mew & Mewtwo, Charizard, Abra-Cadabra-Alakazam, Snorlax, Meowth-Persian (mostly because of Team Rocket), Drowzee-Hypno, Mr. Mime, Dragonite, and Gastly-Haunter-Gengar.
Gen 2 = Lugia, Houndoom, Umbreon, Ursaring, Misdreavus, Marill-Azumarill, Totodile-Feraligatr, Typhlosion, Unown, Wobbuffet (again, mostly because of Team Rocket)
(Guess which Generations I grew up with most. XD )
Gen 3 = Seviper, Swalot, Absol
Gen 4 = Luxray, Mismagius, Mime Jr. (T-to the-E-to the-A-to the-M Rocket!), Lucario, Hippowdon, Dusknoir
Gen 5 = Zorua-Zoroark, Litwick-Lampent-Chandelure, Krookodile, Beartic
Gen 6 = Pyroar, Pangoro, Phantump-Trevenant, Pumpkaboo-Gourgeist, Sylveon
Gen 7 = Incineroar, Lyancroc, Mimikyu, Guzzlord, Marshadow
Gen 8 = Mr. Rime, Obstagoon, Corvisquire-Corviknight, Scorbunny-Cinderace, Greedent, Thievul
Gen 9 = Meowscarada...yeah, that's pretty much it. XD
