Tools for Success: Harness CA Final Past RTPs to Achieve Your Academic Goals and Excel in Exams.
Tumblr media
CA Final Past RTPS: For aspiring Chartered Accountants, preparing for the CA Final exams can be both exciting and challenging. A vital component of effective preparation is leveraging past RTPs (Revision Test Papers) as essential tools in your study strategy. These RTPs are meticulously curated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and serve as excellent resources to familiarize you with the examination format, common question types, and significant topics frequently examined. By integrating past RTPs into your study plan, you gain a clearer understanding of what to expect on exam day, allowing you to focus your efforts on high-yield areas. Each RTP provides an opportunity to practice and refine your knowledge across various subjects, including Advanced Management Accounting, Direct Taxation, and Indirect Tax Laws. Solving these papers helps you build confidence and improve your time management skills, which are crucial for performing well in a timed exam environment. As you engage with past RTPs, take the time to analyze your answers and learn from any mistakes you make. This self-reflection is essential for reinforcing your understanding and addressing any knowledge gaps. Forming study groups with fellow CA aspirants can also enhance your preparation, as discussing RTP questions and solutions can lead to deeper insights and collaborative learning. As your exams approach, ensure that you revise all past RTPs multiple times, reinforcing your knowledge and boosting your confidence. Ultimately, past RTPs are more than just practice questions; they are powerful tools that can guide you toward achieving your academic goals and excelling in your CA Final examinations.

Ways to Crack CA Foundation Exam in First Attempt | Get Subject-Wise Scoring Tips
Tumblr media
Hello guys, How are you? You will be future CAs! The Chartered Accountant has a very high-class profile in society today. In this article, we are going to find the answer to a very famous question that roams in every student's mind.
How do I crack the CA Foundation on the first attempt?
How do I prepare? Which is the best CA online coaching? These types of questions are always wretched students' minds, but no worries, we have the antidote to crack the exam. To release your internal fear, you can talk to any eligible person. How to prepare for the CA Foundation depends on your smart study plan, motivation, and practice. You will self-motivate yourself, and keep away from negative thoughts and negative people.
To clear all the levels of CA, that is, CA Intermediate, Final, and CPT, by God's grace and hard work, I cleared it in the first session. So, let's start this. How clear is the CA foundation? You do have to work hard on yourself and increase your skills.
Today we talk about the tips and tricks for CA exams for you. So, I need your attention and stay till the end. This article will give you goosebumps. First of all, there are 4 subjects. First of all,
Accountant (100 numbers)
Business law (100 numbers)
Business Economics (100 numbers)
Math (100 numbers)
All of them will come in 100 numbers, and the total is 400. Now you have to get at least 200 out of these 400. This means you have to get 200 out of 400, provided that you are getting 40-40 in every subject.
Tumblr media
It means you get 70 in some and 40 in some. But you should remember to get 200 in total. You have to get 40-40 in every subject, and you have to get 200 in total. That is 50% in aggregate and 40% in each subject criteria you have to follow.
This is also followed in the intermediate and the CA final. Now the main bridge is that in your subjective papers like business law, sometimes questions come from all around the syllabus, for this aggregate gets spoiled.
So always try to score 60+ in every subject, and you have to score an exemption so that there will be no problem in my aggregate. Primarily, we will talk about which paper is subjective and which is MCQ.
Let me explain to you, some time ago during MCQs, four options were given, If you got the correct answer, then you passed. This time, two subjective papers—Accountancy and Law—have been submitted.
MCQ papers have been submitted, Economics and Math. First of all, don't think about math. And 50-60% of the CA's don't have math. And for the first time, they easily cleared math. Basic level math, which you have studied until 10th & 12th grade, is the only subject that is asked. So you easily crack these topics.
Tumblr media
The foundation may be or for a vote see a final level, but I like a concept map that could test with that, so let's start this. Now let's discuss tips and tricks that you have to keep in mind. Focus on the study materials provided by ICAI, which are the RTP (Revision Test Paper). RTP is mostly released before the exam for the CA Foundation exam. For CA Foundation students as a practice, it is very useful in revision RTP. Second, last year's question paper works as a vitamin capsule in preparation for.
Always, remember that all students must have solved the previous year's papers and RTP at least 3 to 4 times during the preparation for the CA foundation exam. This is the most important thing if you want to win the CA foundation exam on your first attempt and if you want to easily clear all the levels, (i.e., CA foundation, CA intermediate, and CA final). For all the subjects in CA, you must revise the past papers and current CA syllabus at least 3-4 times. All the students who passed for the first time used this study strategy.
Read More: Do you want to know how to create a perfect study plan for the CA Foundation?
Once you have to look, at the question paper that is going to come in your attempt, 70-80% of it will come up from the previous exam paper. Yes, there is an amendment, and the numbers will change. After changing a few points, the chances of getting the same question in your paper are 80-90%. So, first of all, again, keep in mind that past papers have been done 3-4 times. In the ICAI study material that you get, you have to solve it at least three to four times.
You have talked to your seniors who have recently cracked the great wall of the CA exam. What were their strategy, study materials, notes, and practice sets? This can motivate you during your preparations. Also, you can discuss which coaching is best for preparation for the CA Foundation exam in 2024. ICAI provides materials, but you have to join CA online coaching for better preparation. You can’t miss anything and can’t take a chance during the study.
Also, you should carefully, solve the previous year's paper & RTP 3-4 times, and if you want to crack the CA Foundation exam, at 1st time. It will boost your energy to jump to the next level, CA Intermediate, and CA Final. See, it's difficult, and people say CA is India’s toughest exam, It is tough but not impossible if you are dedicated to achieving your goals.
But if you don't follow this strategy, then you will face a lot of problems. So, first of all, you have to make a perfect study plan and regularly work on it. As you sleep, take your meal every day. Note that you must have revised past papers and RTP 3-4 times.
Revision of the study material is required 3-4 times. In the beginning, we remind you to do it three to four times to make sure you understand.
For a better understanding of subjects, you have to maintain conceptual clarity. After all, when you sit in the examination, you will realize that it is happy to solve your paper.
Now, if I talk about the subject, first comes accounting. Now, the ICAI is going to ask you questions based on the basic ideas you learned about accounting in 11th and 12th grade. Conceptual clarity is very important in the 11th and 12th-grade syllabuses. If your concept is not clear, then you should join the CA online coaching program. Experts will help you clear your concepts in a shorter amount of time. So, work on your basic concepts in every subject. CA Virtual Hub’s experienced faculty helps to clarify any doubts. Consequently, the CA Foundation will incorporate the same accounting curriculum, as 80% of accounting is taught in 11th and 12th-grade classes.
Second, there is the business law. This is going to be a little new for you. Because your legal terms are going to be used in this, this is going to be something that has not been done before. Here are 3 to 4 new acts that are going to come, like the Contract Act, the Sale of Goods Act, and the Partnership Act.
You will feel as though these are unfamiliar. However, as you expand your knowledge of CA, you will perceive it as effortless. Sure, there will be some initial hiccups, but that is just how things will appear.
Such as, What is a contract? What is an agreement? Which contract is denied, which is not illegal, and which is illegal? You are going to face all these types of terms. However, the challenge is mild. You will get a good command of that if you keep practicing. But keep in mind that this is a theoretical subject.
Tumblr media
You will have to write definitions of the theoretical question. As we know, topics such as the Contract Act and the Sale of Goods Act are theory topics. You have to satisfy the examiner with your answer to the theory paper. To write the right answer, you must remember these topics' concepts well. See, you have to be a little strict. Okay, conceptual clarity is really works in really, but somewhere or another, you have to justify yourself to examiner that you have a deep understanding of the questions.
The third is ‘Mathematics’. As we discussed above, you don't have to be afraid of math. It will be solved easily if you practice your tricks. See, the first thing is that it is MCQ-based. If it is MCQ-based, then there is one way to clear MCQ: you read the question, and out of the four options, you got the correct answer on the calculator. You have to look at the options and start eliminating them. And in the math paper, you will have to have a good command of the calculator. For the command in the calculator, you have to practice.
But it's going to be fun. Because of this, you will know how the time value of money works. How you can make crores through SIP. How your money is used as compounding power. How does the compounding power work?
And fourth, the same formula of economics that you read in 11th and 12th—60–70%—is going to come. There is nothing to worry about. All the past papers have to be done. MCQs are going to come. So, you have to see the facts. There are a lot of updates on this. There are a lot of current affairs. So, you will have to make updates on current affairs. Is the India GDP growth going on in the bank? Are the rates going on? Regarding RBI's modifications, which ones are they?
If we take an example, such as What is the population? And different things are going to be asked of you according to geography. So, there is nothing to worry about in this. One subject that can give you a lot of trouble, is business law. Pay attention to that. And don't let your business law trouble your aggregate. So, first of all, make good use of business law. But okay, the CA Foundation exam is a little easy. You can do it well. To be confident and towards CA Intermediate, then towards CA articleship duration 2024, and then towards CA Final Ultimate Goal.
We discussed vitamins for How to Crack the CA Foundation in June 2024 after class 12th. If you have any questions or doubts, simply visit our free student helpline numbers and share your doubts without any hesitation, we are happy to help you. How to Prepare Effectively for CA Inter Cost Accounting
Tumblr media
Preparing for the CA Intermediate Cost Accounting exam can be a challenging yet rewarding journey. This examination is crucial for aspiring Chartered Accountants in India, as it tests a comprehensive understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and applications. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you prepare effectively for this crucial paper.
Understanding the Syllabus:
The first step in your preparation journey is to thoroughly understand the syllabus. The CA Inter Cost Accounting syllabus is divided into six main sections:
-Overview of Cost and Management Accounting
-Ascertainment of Cost and Cost Accounting System
-Methods of Costing
-Cost Control and Analysis
-Cost Accounting Records and Cost Audit
-Management Information Systems and Reporting
Ensure you have a detailed syllabus guide from the ICAI website and familiarize yourself with each topic’s weightage and sub-topics. This will help you allocate your study time effectively.
Collecting the Right Study Materials:
Invest in the right study materials. The ICAI study modules are your primary resource, but complement them with:
-Practice Manuals and RTPs: Revision Test Papers (RTPs) and past year question papers are invaluable for understanding the exam pattern.
-Online Resources: Websites like CAclubindia and YouTube channels offer lectures and problem-solving sessions that can aid your understanding.
Creating a Study Plan:
A well-structured study plan is crucial. Break down your syllabus into manageable chunks and set realistic goals. Here’s a sample plan:
-Initial Reading: Spend the first 1–2 months reading through the entire syllabus to get a broad understanding.
-In-Depth Study: Dedicate the next 3–4 months to studying each topic in-depth. Allocate more time to topics with higher weightage and those you find difficult.
-Revision: Use the last 2 months for revision, focusing on practicing problems and taking mock tests.
-Daily Study Routine
-Establish a consistent daily routine.
Here’s an Effective Daily Schedule:
-Morning: Study theory-based topic as your mind is fresh.
-Afternoon: Practice numerical problems.
-Evening: Revise what you’ve studied and solve past papers.
-Night: Quick review of concepts learned throughout the day.
-Ensure you take regular breaks and keep your study sessions productive yet not overwhelming.
Mastering Concepts and Practicing Problems:
Understanding concepts is key in Cost Accounting. Rather than rote learning, focus on grasping the underlying principles. Here are some tips:
-Conceptual Clarity: Spend extra time on topics like Standard Costing, Marginal Costing, and Budgetary Control, as they are conceptually dense.
-Practical Application: Solve a variety of problems to understand the practical application of theories. This will help in retaining concepts and improving problem-solving speed.
-Regular Revision: Regular revision is essential to keep concepts fresh in your mind. Create summary notes for each chapter and revise them periodically. Use flashcards for quick reviews of formulas and key points.
Taking Mock Tests:
Mock tests are crucial for exam preparation. They help you:
-Identify Weak Areas: Analyze your performance to identify and work on weak areas.
-Time Management: Practice managing your time efficiently during the exam.
-Build Confidence: Familiarity with the exam pattern reduces anxiety and builds confidence.
-Joining Study Groups: Study groups can be beneficial for discussions, doubt solving, and sharing resources. Engaging with peers can provide different perspectives and tips that you might not have considered.
Seeking Professional Guidance:
If you find certain topics particularly challenging, consider seeking help from a tutor or joining coaching classes. Professional guidance can provide structured learning and clarify complex concepts.
Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle:
Finally, don’t neglect your health. A balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep are essential for optimal brain function. Avoid burnout by taking breaks and engaging in activities that relax and rejuvenate you.
Staying Motivated:
Maintaining motivation throughout your preparation is crucial. Set short-term goals and reward yourself upon achieving them. Keep reminding yourself of the bigger picture and the career goals you are working towards.
Preparing for the CA Intermediate Cost Accounting exam requires a strategic approach, consistent effort, and a positive mindset. By understanding the syllabus, using the right study materials, following a structured study plan, and regularly revising and practicing, you can confidently tackle this exam. Remember, persistence and dedication are key. Good luck!

10 Important Tips for CA Student must know for exam preparation
Tumblr media
Preparing for Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams is a challenging process, but with the right strategies, you can excel. Here are some important tips to enhance your exam preparation:
1. Gain a Deep Understanding of the Syllabus
Start by thoroughly understanding the syllabus. The CA exams cover a broad range of topics, especially at the Final level. Utilize CA Final Books to break the syllabus into manageable sections and highlight key topics and their importance. These are valuable resources for prioritizing your study schedule and focusing on significant areas. By referring to CA Final Books, you can ensure that you cover all essential topics thoroughly and systematically, aiding in a comprehensive preparation strategy. Make your primary resource for an organized and effective study plan.
2. Develop a Practical Study Schedule
Make a well-organized and practical study schedule. Assign distinct time periods to every subject to guarantee thorough coverage of the syllabus well in advance of the tests. To avoid burnout, schedule regular breaks within your daily study schedule. It's important to follow your plan and be consistent.
3. Select High-Quality Study Resources
Choose high-quality study material such as ICAI study modules, practice manuals and revision test papers (RTPs). Additionally, use standard textbooks and coaching class notes if available. Avoid overwhelming yourself with too many reference books, as this can cause confusion. Implementing a  study material for CA books can help you prepare more efficiently and cover all the required material.
4. Solve Previous Years' Question Papers
Using CA Intermediate Books and practicing with past years' question papers are essential for a successful CA Intermediate exam .These resources help with improving time management abilities and understanding the format and kinds of questions on the exam. Make the most of your exam preparation  to analyze your performance, identify your areas of weakness, and improve your confidence.
5. Focus on Conceptual Clarity
Emphasize understanding concepts rather than rote learning. Ensure a solid grasp of fundamental concepts in each subject, as this will help in both theoretical and practical questions. Spend extra time on difficult topics until you thoroughly understand them.
6. Revise Regularly
Regular revision is essential for retaining information. Allocate time for periodic revision, either weekly or bi-weekly. Summarize each chapter in your own words and create concise revision notes. These notes will be invaluable in the final days before the exam, ensuring thorough preparation.
7. Join Study Groups
Participating in study groups can be beneficial for discussing challenging topics, sharing resources, and staying motivated. Group studies encourage active learning and help in quick clarification of doubts. Ensure the group remains focused on studying.
8. Prioritize Physical and Mental Health
Good health is essential for effective exam preparation, especially for CA beginners. Prioritize your well-being by getting adequate sleep, maintaining a balanced diet, and incorporating physical activity into your routine. Practices like yoga or meditation, along with CA foundation books, can help reduce stress and enhance concentration, ensuring optimal performance during exams.
9. Take Mock Exams
Regularly taking mock exams helps simulate actual exam conditions and improve time management. Analyze your performance in these tests to identify weak areas and work on them. This continuous self-assessment builds confidence.
10. Maintain a Positive Mindset
The CA journey is challenging, but a positive attitude can make a significant difference. Set small, achievable goals and reward yourself upon completion. Surround yourself with supportive people who motivate you to stay focused.
Conclusion
Success in CA exams requires a blend of strategic planning, hard work, and strength. Using  the CA entrance exam books  will help you prepare even more. Recall that all chartered accountants have encountered these difficulties; with the appropriate strategy, you too may succeed. Remain committed, driven, and self-assured. Wishing you luck!

CA FINAL SCMPE PREPARATION STRATEGY
To start with the CA Final SCMPE Preparation Strategy, firstly you can revise the concepts of Cost and Management Accounting (CMA), and Strategic Management (SM) studied by you at the CA-Intermediate Level. It will help you clear your base and understand the subject more deeply. Thereafter, you can either go for self-study or can take classes from the best faculty, because in this subject, some tricky case studies are asked which can be tackled only when the subject is understood deeply under proper guidance. However, proper revision of all the concepts and important questions should be done. The first option will take you approximately 400-500 hours while the second option will take approximately 350-400 hours. The following tips must be considered while studying and revising this subject:
Watch video lectures with appropriate validity and views such as 1.5 or 2 to help you revise the important concepts and important questions.
Be regular with your classes, even though you are studying at home.
Make proper short notes which you can revise from time to time or buy a Revisionary Pocket Book.
Buy the video lectures and the books which cover ICAI study material, Practice Manual, RTPs, MTPs, Past Year Papers, and a lot of Case Studies.
Solve as many questions as possible, especially case studies. This will improve your speed and presentation.
While revising the subject, fix daily targets and give time to each topic as per the length and weightage.
Make sure that you solve the latest RTPs, MTPs, and past year papers of ICAI.
Solve 2-3 papers in time and get them checked to see your mistakes.
One day before the exam:
Revise the concepts thoroughly from short notes or Pocket Book,
See the important and tricky questions., and
Don’t touch any new topic.
DURING THE EXAM – CA Final SCMPE Preparation Strategy also includes the tips to be followed at the time of giving the exam. When the invigilator hands you the paper, have confidence in yourself and your preparation and follow the given tips:
In the first 15 minutes (reading time), read all the questions and choose the question which you will leave in option.
Prioritize the other questions in order of the confidence you have in them.
Try to avoid cutting on the first two pages of the answer sheet.
If you are stuck anywhere, don’t waste time on it. Move ahead with the next question.
Don’t leave any answer blank. Write whatever you know about the concept.
While answering case studies:
Prepare a plan for each issue and decide what models to use.
Identify alternative actions which could be taken.
Give a detailed analysis of the issue.
Conclude with recommendations. It should include what, why and how. By following the above Preparation Strategy, you will be able to score extraordinarily good in this paper. Also, try to enhance your knowledge during article ship as well. And, always remember the key mantra of success – “Plan your work and work your plan.” Now you know how to prepare for this subject but it is equally important to know the objectives of this subject. Why was it introduced in place of Advanced Management Accounting (AMA) in the Old Course? How will it help you in your professional life? SCMPE has two parts – SCM & PE. It is an advanced study into the subjects of CMA and SM which you study at your CA-Intermediate Level. The main objectives of SCMPE are as follows: • To apply various cost management techniques for planning and controlling performance in order to set, monitor and control strategic objectives. • To develop skills of analysis, synthesis and evaluation in cost management to address challenges and issues which might affect or influence the management of performance within organizations. This course replaced the AMA Paper to enlarge the scope of study in the following way: • Introduction of case studies. • New practical topics related to cost management in agriculture, IT and power sector. • Shifting of ABC to an advanced level. • Addition of sensitivity analysis questions in pricing decision. After reading the importance of this subject, we believe you will have more interest in learning it now. All the best!

CA (Chartered Accountant) is one of the most important and challenging career fields with a multitude of employment opportunities. In your preparation, before you start with any CA Final subject, have a look at the syllabus, analyses the past trends through CA Final Question Papers. CA Final revision question papers are an essential part of your amendment strategy. RTP #126/Days 22-31 - abled (dis)
Tumblr media
have been thinking a lot lately about what it means to be 'able' to do something versus being 'disabled'. over the past few weeks on the bike i've continued to meet amazing people who through a variety of circumstances might not seem to have the motor skills, full intellectual capabilities or the economic means to tackle some of life's challenges. when i reached Sacramento, i stayed with my cousin Angela, who is in her early 40's, yet i've only seen her on 3 occasions in my life (2 weddings and a trip to CA as a teenager). she's been trying for years to get the job/career she finally landed with the State of CA - helping people with extreme disabilities to find jobs. she's got a very cool daily mission if you ask me. some of her clients have physical challenges and some are mentally impaired, either from birth or due to an accident. shared with Angela the video "Svefn-G-Englar" by the band Sigur Ros (who i got to see in concert for the 6th time last Saturday night at Berkeley's Greek Theater w/ my Amazing girlfriend Claire). the video features adults w/ Down Syndrome and it makes me cry every time i watch it as it's an amazing love story. so after we watched it, she said she wanted me to meet her next-door neighbor Max, who is 22-years old and he's similar to those in the video. as i suited up to ride on the American River Parkway bike path, i met Max outside her house on a sunny Sunday afternoon with his mom. he saw my neon-yellow riding bike socks and immediately smiled and said, "oooh, cool socks". then he saw my neon-yellow cycling shoes and smiled again, "oooh, cool shoes too". he helped me to put them on and i showed him the unique closing system. he liked the shoe's click-n-twist button, much as my brother's son Quinn did four days later when Mr. Q and i did a show-and-tell in front of his 5th-grade classroom. Quinn also has Down Syndrome and during my week-long visit to Benicia, he read a book out loud to me for the first time ever. (he usually reads to himself) back to Max, who is supposedly 'disabled'. showed him my ziploc plastic bag that i use for a wallet and he got very excited and said "i have a better wallet than you do" and he went running into his house to get it. he brought out a cool leather wallet with two metallic snaps to keep his money and IDs secure. showed me his transit card that he uses to ride the bus. he kept asking very insightful questions about where i slept at night, what i ate for snacks when i was riding and if i got sore from the small seat. in other words, the same questions as "able" people had been asking me for weeks. he was curious. before i took off on my ride, he helped me tie a friendship bracelet onto my top tube. i told him that i'd ride across the US with that bracelet and he could look for it in my update videos on the RickToPortland FaceBook & Tumblr pages. kept thinking about him that afternoon as i rode along the river and how it would be cool to ride a bike with him - maybe a tandem if his motor skills need help. later that week, as i took time off to visit my brother William and his family in Benicia, as mentioned, i got invited to do show-and-tell to my nephew Remy's 3rd grade class and Quinn's 5th grade class. 40+ kids over 2 hours asking about flat tires, how i managed to ride in the rain and if i got sore from the small seat (which is turning out to be a recurring question from all ages). Quinn & Remy were clearly proud to be in front of their respective classrooms wearing my hi-vis-yellow jackets. both took items from my panniers to show their classmates. Quinn has been immersed into the regular school classes for all of his 10+ years and my brother and his wife Katie are pursuing ways for this continue for him in middle school. the phrase they have latched onto, that they got from my son Sam, is "access=opportunity". give Quinn or Max some access, and they will have a wider range of opportunities. makes sense to me. and so that's what i've been thinking about over the past few days as i've been riding through the Napa & Sonoma wine country. i am able to ride. i am able to show how my touring bike differs from a road bike. i am able to share my cross-country bike ride story with strangers. and all of these strangers are sharing their stories with me. and some of them, some of them given an opportunity, will show me their cool wallets with two metallic snaps, which are way cooler than my ziplock bag wallet... rick

How Do I Study For Ca?
I am not sure for which level of the curriculum you are seeking your answer.. So bear with me as I am answering for all three in summary:
CPT:
In order to pass CPT pay very good attention in your Class 11 and 12 curriculum along with the materials provided by ICAI. These are enough. If you find time solve around 20 Mock Test Papers additionally
IPCC:
In this level you are asked for 'working level knowledge'. Let me copy paste a portion of the answer which I recently posted. It will serve the purpose:
If you really want better results from your studying with less effort download this free audiobook 'Unlimited Memory' and get more done in less time.
The first of all is to take guidance classes in the subjects you are 'not good at'. We generally have a stigma, that we donot take guidance/coaching for Theory Papers. DO NOT DO THIS MISTAKE.
Second step would be to self study as much as possible. No coaching is worth your time, if it leaves you with no time for your self study. Self study is a must, and in practicals you should solve your sums on pen and paper as much as possible. Also, in theory write as much as possible. It not only helps you in remembering but also helps in your handwriting and speed and presentation
Third step, would be to follow ICAI study materials and RTPs and MTPs. If not for all subjects, at least for some papers which you don't find comfortable
FINAL:
Hang on tight.. coz these are the FINALS..
Well CA-Final is all together a different ball game. There is simply no strategy which you can rate as better/little bit poorer than other strategies. The question for how will you study for CA Finals will come by the time you have completed 1 yr of your articleship and have a rough idea of what subjects you like, what subjects will be easy for you etc etc. Just remember these all-pervasive 'gyaans' for CA Final:
Its more about smart work rather than hard work
Your expertise and articleship experience matters
Coaching is very very much important for CA Finals
Never take CA FINALS casually. DONOT think that 'lemme give this attempt for experience and in next attempt I will surely study hard and qualify'. The next attempt never comes trust me.
Donot miss your 1st attempt. It is very very very very important that you give your due attempt. This comes after 2.5 years of articleship and start preparing for it as soon as you complete 1 yr of articleship. In that way you will ahve 1.5 yrs time (just about sufficient) to appear for finals
#EDIT: My bad..! You asked only about maths..! Well the mathematics asked for are the ones you will do in class 11 and some of class 12. There will be a change in CPT syllabus. Untill the syllabus changes thats all we have. Moreover after you pass CPT, mathematics won't be required at all

Plan your Study for CA IPCC Accounts Preparation
Make a study plan covering the entire syllabus and then decide how much time you can allocate to the subject on daily/weekly basis.
Allocation of time must be done keeping in view your office commitments as well as social needs and personal hobbies.
Maintain the time balance amongst various subjects such as purely descriptive type and numerical-based papers. Allocate time in such a manner that your interest is well sustained and you are able to score well in the final examination as well.
Always assess your preparation periodically, say, on monthly basis. If necessary, revise your plan and allocate more time for the subject in which you feel deficient.
CA IPCC Accounts Paper Preparing Study Strategy
Read, understand and assimilate each chapter.
First of all, have an overview of the chapter to understand the broad contents and sequence of various sub-topics.
Do the introspection while going through the chapter and ask various questions to yourself.
Read each chapter slowly to ensure that you understand and assimilate the main concept. If need be, read once again with concentration and then try to attempt exercise at the end of the chapter or given in the Practice Manual.
Recapitulate the main concept after going through each chapter by way of brief notes.
Prepare notes in the manner you feel comfortable covering all key points. Use mnemonic form e.g. C V P denoting cost, valuation and price.
One may use highlighter/underlining the significant points or writing down in the margin.
The fact that how well you have understood the topic is your ability to attempt the questions given in the exercises as well as in the practice manual. Make a serious attempt at producing your own answers but at this stage do not be much concern about attempting the questions in examination based conditions. In particular, at initial stages, it is more important to understand and absorb the material thoroughly rather than to observe the time limits that would apply in the actual examination conditions.
Always try to attempt the past year examination question paper under examination conditions.
Revision of material should never be selective in any case. Because broad coverage of the syllabus is more important than preparing 2-3 chapters exhaustively.
Read through the text along with notes carefully. Try to remember the definition and important formulae.
