wardrobe notes
tiphaine
muted & dull colors. favors greens and greys.
high collared blouses with bow style neck ties.
long skirts or high waisted pants with blouses tucked into.
victorian gothic energy.
should give “ghost of a widowed victorian woman” vibes.
misri
gold, white, pink, browns.
inspiration from khmer dancers, thai, and south indian fashions. she probably has a lot of couture style fashion in there too, based off what ionian nobles look like.
flashy golden jewelry. heavy bracelets. large earrings.
consistent make up presentation: gold at the corner of the eyes and a single gold stripe on her top and bottom lip
almost always wears shawls because she’s somehow always cold
sarin
deep reds. wears a lot of patterns.
his main coat is based off tibetan chubas but his clothing style is mostly based on traditional clothes from vietnam, thailand, china, and korea.
prefers sleeveless shirts with high collars and jackets/coats with longer sleeves to compensate. uses his coat to hoard things.
outside of patterns, his clothes aren’t intended to stand out in the way of higher class ionians. it’s all very practical clothing.
ragni
general colors are dark blues and greys.
wears a lot of furs and heavy coats. his silhouette makes him seem a lot bigger than he actually is. wears minimal armor, usually just a chain mail shirt.
has blue tattoos along his arms and neck, similar to many freljord warriors.
usually doesn’t wear cloaks, mantles, or capes. despite this, he adds a lot of bulk around his shoulders with the use of furs.
eydis
medium blues, greys, whites.
wears slimmer fit clothing than ragni, since she doesn’t feel the cold and so has little need for the heavier outfits.
frequently wears cloaks and hoods. more flowing movement compared to the heftier movement of ragni.
less fur, more feathers.
verain
white, gold, blue, occasional dark browns.
fancy and expensive clothing. always looks far too well kept for a man in bilgewater.
button ups and vests are a staple.
honestly not much to say on his clothing.

in light of the new short i just want to say
verain is very smart and very clever, more than enough to survive the cutthroat nature of bilgewater and have a trade emporium of his own making.
but unfortunately for verain and anyone i write with, i am not clever and so he will always be a dumbass.

from @defensator
"i'd suggest getting a map. the city is big, it's easy to get yourself lost," jayce tilts his head a little, arms crossed as he watches the traveler. "i can give you a quick tour, but quick doesn't encompass all of piltover---let alone zaun, if you're brave enough to venture down there."
verain laughs, the noise unabashed in whatever it is he finds funny. " a map is for someone who needs to know where they're going, " he states, very matter of fact. his own arms fold, posing himself in the same manner as the man.
" you know - " he pauses. verain clicks his tongue and tilts his head one way then the other, brows creasing over his eyes before the wide smile returns. " you're familiar. i've seen your face before. help me put a name to it, won't you? “

jayce is not a personable fellow by any stretch of imagination but ever since he's assumed his role as the city's poster boy, he's tried to act the part. so when he sees what seems to be a lost foreigner and his mood is just about right, he tries to offer an unobtrusive amount of help. "new to piltover?" he begins, tone casual. "if you need directions, i can help."
bright eyes snap to the direction of the voice as verain’s mouth twitches into a smile. “ oh, that would be most delightful! ” he says, clasping his hands together before he offers one out. there is an accent to his words, but he speaks in a way that seems to try and hide it.
“ i’m verain. i’m not quite sure where i am going besides going somewhere. perhaps you might tell me where somewhere is? ”

❝ tea orange - what is something that your muse is fascinated with? ❞
— ✱「 @defyances 」
verain is the easiest to answer this with: he's completely in love with ancient history and arcane relics and any sort of trinket that has any sort of magical quality to it. he's a collector and seller of these things. most of his merchandise tends to be slightly-above-useless objects that have some obscure enchantment. in his own home, he has any number of odds and ends on display. honestly, he's that bitch who comes into a culture, takes all the spices, and doesn't even use them. they just sit there and look pretty.
but like he really does just love old things with stories (especially curses) behind them. i imagine such items are commonly banned or strictly managed in demacia and so his access to them had always been very limited. his early collections were books, usually too old or worn to be of use to anyone. even now, he has a library filled with ancient texts from all over runeterra.
verain himself, for as much as he loves magical things, doesn't have much of an interest in using magic himself. he likes figuring out how it works but his actual talent for casting spells and the like is... non-existent.
his other less intense fascinations, include star charting, machinery, and hextech.
#c. 𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐩 ♚ ( verain ) —#hc. 𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐝 ♚ ( verain ) —#thank u for the question!

despite being from demacia, verain hates his home. he finds it old fashioned and close minded, with everything being more or less the same. there is no encouragement for uniqueness - at least, not to him. to verain, being there is like slowly suffocating.
he’s struggled with feeling out of place and never knowing who he is as a person - only what he is to everyone else and what he is expected to be. the things he was interested in were either forbidden or heavily restricted.
leaving demacia was the first time he was able to think about what he wanted and without care for how it could impact others. verain is a selfish human being who’s interests are very self absorbed and i think demacia’s values go against that?
in general, verain and demacia’s values are constantly at odds.
